Ikea,

I was extremely distressed to become aware of your company's responsibility for the clear cutting of miles and miles of old growth forests in the EU, especially in Romania. It is clear that all your rhetoric about sustainably harvested trees is just a fraud on the trusting public. I intend to boycott your company until there is real proof that you have discontinued your incredibly distructive policies. I intend to urge the same for all my friends and all the groups of which I am a member.

I'm sorry, but out planet is dying. Figure out a way to recycle. Or something. This is intolerable and horrible. Until you STOP this crap, and instead PROTECT those forests, I'm through with IKEA.

I'm shocked that what I thought was a pretty good company would be destroying the last remaining European old growth forests in Romania. If this isn't stopped NOW before all is lost I'll do my best to let many people know how irresponsible and earth-destroying IKEA really is.

Have been trying for months to buy an IKEA daybed, but every order failed when I put in my ZIP code to calculate shipping. IKEA's official excuse:

Thanks for reaching out again. Regrettably your zip code is no longer included for truck deliveries. This is not something that IKEA can turn on or off rather a decision was made based on the trucking companies that we contract. Also, it isn't this single zip code but rather a multitude of zip codes have changed, and will change again from time to time.

Unbelievable delivery schedule and terrible customer service. 3rd party delivery company made two confirmation calls, one the day before and 1 the day of they still failed to show up. Didn't notify me. After two hours with customer service I was notified that the delivery would be 1week later. That would not work so we arranged 8 days later. They tried to deliver 7 days later as they originally tried to reschedule. I was unavailable due to an out patient surgery. That is why we scheduled for eigh days out not seven. I spoke to customer service again. They wanted to change the delivery date out 5 weeks from the first date. The order was a bed dresser and nightt stand.

Non-existent customer service. Call wait times can be horrific. It basically ruins my week to interact with them. All time worst telephone customer service experiences. I an not a complainer. I am resilient, and strong. I am flexible like a reed. It's not on me. Just absolute worst experience - just passed City Water Service.

IKEA did not refund the full amount of sales tax for my returned purchase. They refunded just over half of the tax, which I didn't notice until I got home. It is impossible to deal with customer support at this company and I don't think I will ever buy anything there again - too many horror stories.

On hold for 20 minutes, once customer service agent answered it took 10 minutes to access my order in their system. The customer service agent was very nice but very slow, asked me the same questions at least three times.

Do not buy from Ikea. They say after literrally calling over 50 times that you wanted a refund but they still not refunded me over 1900 dollars in money. Every time you call customer service they tell you a different lie.

I bought 2 Billie bookcases went to p/u and it was insane!! Waited over 45 minutes in a drive up and hadn't moved more than 2 cars (had about 20 cars in front of us)had to leave! Was still charged NO REFUND as it stated it would be returned and refunded if not P/U in 24 hours!!! Not happy with IKEA!!!

I bought Finnala 3 seater sofa two days back from IKEA, Richmond, BC. I wanted to return it the next day (colour mis match). I had to wait for 3 hours to get it returned.

It was obvious that the employees at return desk have been asked to go slow.... probably to discourage customers from returning. I hope IKEA knows that it works both ways... a customer who is returning is a customer who bought n will buy in future; and in all probabilities, with this experience, will be discouraged to buy next time.

I ordered a dresser online and was going to go pick it up but turns out my boyfriend already got one so I figured since I never picked up the dresser I can just cancel it and get a refund. So I cancel my order and today 10/04/20 I see an email saying that my order was pick up yesterday 10/03/20 at 4:21pm. WTF!!! And I keep calling the store and I can't get through to speak to anyone. I NEED MY MONEY!! IKEA IS BS!

I cancelled my online order on sep 9 and then reordered. But I couldnt get my refund for the cancelled order. 20 days passed and couldnt talk with anyone about it.

I placed a order online on September 1st, 20minutes later realized there is a mistake regarding one of the bed frame, so called immediately to cancel the order. 16 days later, no refund has been received, called six times, spoke to six different Ikea people, All giving me different information about the refund time. Very disappointed! Worst customer service ever encountered!

Got to the IKEA Atlanta store at 7:18pm. Was told Returns and exchanges closed at 7pm. I drove over an hour and called to verify. So frustrating. If the hours are changing then update the message or post it somewhere.

Ikea's customer service function appears to have been abandoned by the company. Delivery of my online order is delinquent. Ikea customer service offers me no option to contact them in any manner to check on delivery status. Email is restricted to business orders. The customer service phone number says to go to the website. The website reports only the scheduled delivery date, which is days ago, and offers no way to inquire about status. This is, I suppose, better than having me wait for hours for a customer rep who never shows up. No way to run a railroad!

I have tried unsuccessfully to inquire about delivery time and cost for Ikea's Rimforsa work bench. I get the automated answering option, choose # 4, ask for the kitchen group and am told there's
an unanticipated lengthy wait; please use our online service, or words to that effect. This is not at all helpful.

Purchased a cot on Sunday, assembled it on Monday am, soon realised the wood used could potentially creat splinters. Went the next day to return it without dismantling it. Ikea refused to give me a full refund. I tried to talk to the customer service asking for the full refund. My request was also rejected.
Please be very careful with Ikea's return policy as it is very vague and the claim of 365 days seems very attractive but unfortunately the minute you open the package you have very little rights if any at all even when the item doesn't meet the minimum requirement such as safety.

I have tried placing an orderon line . Everything item I've picked which is over 45 items have not been in stock. Plus website is not very user friendly doesn't tell you when you pick the item that it is out of stock. Do they have any merchandise at all. No stores near me and want to get se my gift card.

I cancelled an order over two weeks ago and still waiting for a refund. When I call the IKEA service department my call gets dropped. Do not shop there follow-up service is terrible.

If the item is defective and cannot be put together, does IKEA pay for the return shipment? Nothing in their return policy addresses this. Of course that would only happen if they respond to my online return request by email....

I had IKEA come and pick up a malm dresser from my home for a recall back in February 2019. I am pregnant so I chose this option instead of going into the store. Its may 2019 now and I've been calling every week for my refund check. I had 2 girls tell me my check was already sent out back in March and April it would only take up to 6 to 8 weeks to get it. Its $200 I've been waiting for to put towards my new baby and till this day I havent received my check. Who do I need to talk to over there? It's so upsetting that they give u issues when u return in the store I was told pick up was way easier.
