If I could rate this location 0 stars, I certainly would!

Considering window installation or any other services in the Bay Area, SF, or East Bay? DON'T DO IT.

We ordered new windows from Home Depot (HD) with installation included. One of the windows, an expensive Andersen window, was poorly installed and is leaking in the middle. We reported the leak in November 2023, and as of March 1, 2024, we still haven't received a resolution or service. It's been constant ignorance from them. We managed to get Home Depot to move after reporting the issue to the BBB, but their response has been painfully slow, and the local installation team management continues to ignore us.

Spend your money elsewhere, not with people who couldn't care less about their reputation, or Home Depot's for that matter. And to top it off, I can't find a way to post a service review on Home Depot's windows installation website. HD installation service is a scam.

Almost every tine you ask for assistance at Hone Depot it like the employee is put out with questions. The last time in the store I ask if their was some more in over stock ann my s if out even looking they told me no and would Monday before they got more. The next day my husband went to the store for something else and happened to go down the row with wood and the spot with no wood n Saturated afternoon was fill. I know no truck arrived to the store on Saturday night. The employee just didn't wait to help me and I believe it was do to the fix I'm elderly.

HomeDepot has yet to install my washing machine. There were 3 delivery attempts and each time there was an excuse as to why they couldn't unplug my old washer or connect the hoses. After the second attempt on Feb 13 when they insisted they leave the machine in my bedroom, I called (same day) and rescheduled but I told them if they couldn't install the washer on the 3rd attempt on the rescheduled day (Feb 17) I wanted them to come and pick it up and refund my money. They then scheduled the install on Feb 17 but again couldn't install it.So I told them to pick up the washer - they refused because it had been 4 days from Feb 13 when they failed to leave me with an installed washing machine - instead of two - So I have an old machine and a new one sitting in the middle of our master bedroom - neither working. I will never buy as much as a lightbulb from HomeDepot again - They are the absolute worst in customer service - I filed a consumer protection complaint

It's Tuesday before Thanksgiving & the driver left with my new fridge bcuz he didn't want to double park even tho it's done all the time for appliance deliveries. I even told him someone would watch the truck so wouldn't get a ticket. I moved everything out of the way for this delivery which since I have company coming for the holiday so I need to put all back asap but they refuse to come back today! The scheduler LIED TO ME stating HD isn't permitted to double park - what a crock of s**t. I have grocery deliver my in the AM then off for doctor appointment so no tomorrow doesn't work. GO TO LOWES THEY DO HAVE BETTER SERVICE!

I paid Home Depot to install flooring in the contract it states all pad and tack strips will be glued. Thier installers came and stapled and nail into my radiant heat pipes. I informed the store and Customer Service through various methods each time pushed off to someone else. It has been 6 days and I still have not gotten a single rep to schedule an appt to come assess the damage. They are also so far refusing to refund me for the carpet I had to rip out myself to stop it from continuing to damage my house (as it is wet) or for the money I paid to have it install even though it was not done to the contract. I have told them repeatedly to please come see the damage and I can not get any help.

When Home Depot tells you they people that can install your new appliances, buyer beware. They will deliver the appliances and if one thing is off due to some liability, they will tell you they cannot install the appliances. Then you have to find a service that does and pay extra. They get away with this by hiring subcontractors who treat the customer with indifference.

I ordered a vanity from Home Depot. It arrived destroyed, so I sent it back. I ordered it again with gift card credit this time. It stole the money from the gift card and then canceled the order from their side. They said they didn't know why and would investigate and return my call. They never did. I spent 2 weeks trying to recoup the money they stole and finally got most of it, not all of it, back. They pocketed the remaining stolen money.

I ordered the vanity for the 3rd time since now I only had Home Depot gift cards, and it arrived broken again. This time I sent it back before the truck could leave. Home Depot still had the money from the emptied gift card from this most recent order. They said they couldn't send it back due to "system issues". I've spent a month and a half trying to order the vanity. I've spent over a week trying to get back my money they stole. When I write Customer Service, they say they're still having "system issues" and close the conversation if I push it. When I call, they say they're still having "system issues" and hang up if I push it.

Between all 4 orders they've cumulatively stolen over $1400, wasted at least 12 full hours on the phone with me, and caused me to miss my construction date, meaning I'll have to hire another contractor to finish the job. At this point, I'm just going to go ahead and say that they're trying to steal the money. They've made 3 claims of investigations and 10 claims of "we'll call you back" and never followed up on a single one. All these claims are backed up by Home Depot itself who doesn't deny them but instead just kept the money and the vanity and keep repeating "system issues" for weeks and I guess assumes they get to keep the money now.

I have never been so frustrated with a purchase. I bought a microwave from HD. The wrong one was sent, which the manufacturer canceled. I had to buy it and pay for it yet again, with no refund. Three weeks later, and after repeated calls, still no refund. It will be there this week, the next week, then tomorrow for sure--no refund. I will never buy anything from HD ever again.

Beware of purchasing items that are on special that are ordered online. Home Depot will not exchange the item in store, they will refund your money and then charge you the current price to purchase the new one. Inmy case the price had almost doubled from the original price I paid. They said in the store it was company policy. Talked to the home Depot customer service and had to talk to three different representatives, one of which I couldn't understand. They were terrible to deal with. Never did get the exchange made. Closed my account and I'll try the manufacture.

I just tried to place an online order for tomorrow. It was the most horrible experience. I am a big home Depot fan. But, not now. Go ahead, treat your customers like crap. This experience will cost you sales. I have my own feedback system, when I get treated like crap, I go out of my way to buy from someplace else.

I ordered 3 items all on one order from Home Depot, so there was 1 order number. A Pop up Canopy Tent, a pink pet carrier military Grade, and a Grey Pet Carrier miliary grade. For the Canopy they sent the wrong product, they sent some sort of top of an outside grill. I returned it. A few days later my grey carrier came in. There was no Pink Carrier. I kept waiting, the pink carrier never came. I finally called and Home depot told me it was in the same box as the grey carrier. I replied to them it was not. They said I'd have to take it up with UPS. I'm sorry, but how is this a UPS problem when the Pink Carrier wasn't in the same box? So this is how Home Depot pushes the blame, Horrible way to do business. I wonder if the online dept is stealing from the company.

The Home Depot in Florence sc should receive a plaque saying we are the worst of all on CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE,!! I tried for 35 minutes to talk to anyone about placing a order for a new stove and NEVER spoke to anyone except the person That transferred the call.. This is not the only time that this has happened. You are wasting your time trying to buy anything other than boards and nails and pick them out yourself!!! Only self checkout and self service if you can find what you are looking for!!!

I took my 83 year old father to the home Depot in Blue Springs, MO to get a ceiling fan. He wanted a twelve inch extension to lower the fan so I asked an associate if the fan would have enough wiring for this or if we needed to purchase a kit or something. He said we needed a $43 wire spool so we bought it. I start installing new wire then open the fan to start installing it and see there's plenty of extra wire in the fan already so after cutting the wire we didn't need I remove it and go to return the unneeded wire. I try to explain to customer service what their associate told me and was told I was lying and she called a manger after I go off about her comments. He tells me no refund cause it was cut. I tell him it's cut because your associate said I needed it and he says no refund. I cancelled my home Depot credit card immediately and filed a complaint with corporate that won't mean anything and I'm never going back to any of their stores. Terrible company!

The person spoke broken English and would not identify or put me in contact with his supervisor. I called Home Depot as instructed and they sent me back to La la ville yet again from my investigation Home Depot owns Traffic Flooring . This is nothing but stealing ...I've been a loyal end user customer for years but I don't like bring taken advantage of . Stealing

Well after waiting for a week to get my new dishwasher it finally got delivered. Well after unboxing it i find out it has been damaged. Looks like it was dropped off the back of the truck. Totally broken up on the corner and bent up the metal corner and the control panel. Contacted home depot and let them know about it. They tell me that they can't replace it for another week. Now i have no hot water in my kitchen to hand wash my dishes due to everything being disconnected from the old dishwasher. Very unhappy with the company and the way they handled the situation. Well that's all I have to say about this experience.

Delivery very bad. Home Depot tell us they are no responsible for that. We bought tiles and we spent 5200 dollars and the truck left one pallet in the garage after scratching all my pavers and the other four pallets left them in the middle of the street blocking the entrance in my driveway. The story continues and is too long. The end of this is never more Home Depot.
We are clients from 2002 with Home Depot credit car.The worst company in the USA is Home Depot.

I ordered an ATV battery on the 23rd. They said it would be in the 28th. I checked in the 28th. They said the 29th. I checked the 29th, and they said the 30th. I called on the 30th, and they said it was not ready yet, and hung up on me, I texted them, and was told I would be told when it's ready. They offered a discount. None given. Is Home Depot trying to lose business?

Today, I went to Home Depot to purchase Paint. I have a Home Depot Card for years with a zero balance, so money was not an issue today. The paint can that I wanted was up close to the ceiling, I could not reach it. I asked an employee assigned to the Paint Area/Section. How can I get a can of paint from up there? He responded you might be able to in another area. In his mind that was the correct answer to get rid of me. Needless, to say the paint was not located in a different area. I was planning on spending close to $200.00 on paint and paint supplies, but the lack of customer service made me walk away and not purchase anything. As a customer when I need assistance, I am not asking for a favor, because Home Depot does not give items away. I have to pay for anything I want to take home from the store. I have notice that lately your employees lack good customer service. I am not one to write reviews but, management need to educate employees on the importance of GOOD QUALITY SERVICE. If you not willing to work with people who are good customers and are willing to spend their money at your store, stay home.

We tried to get 4 windows replaced at our home. The salesman that came out was great, but service fell off a cliff after that. Their contracted service to pull permits totally dropped the ball. The first company rep in charge of the project mansplained my wife and did not follow up. Awful, awful experience. After 3 months, this project went nowhere and we have no new windows. I will never hire Home Depot again.

My initial experience with Home Depot was not good. I purchased flooring & carpeting. When it was delivered their truck put a huge gash in my asphalt driveway. I had to file a claim to get it fixed. The flooring & carpeting installers messed up one of the floor electrical outlets & disconnected my baseboard heater. My 2nd experience was no better. I purchased new countertops. Their plumber removed the sink/faucet & reinstalled. I went from two plumb sink to one. I asked beforehand if there was extra expense, product or time involved with the change. They installed faucet incorrectly so faucet only moves from center to back wall. Hot & cold are not right. I went from a 2-plumb sink to one & they were in & out in less then 20 min . I was told by plumber that one plumb is easy . However, AFTER the job was done & 4 days later Home Depot called & said I owed $120 extra. Very disappointed & have decided to NEVER use their services again.

I do not like trying to be ripped off , I declined garage door service when they wanted to charge me $300.00 an hour to work on my garage door , I have put on my own springs all my life and know what is involved and how long it takes , but a current medical condition will not let me do it myself right now , they could be in and out of here in 30 minutes . Some people may not know any better and pay this ripoff artist his brake it off in you price , I told him hell no .

Our appliance specialist , Ms. Debbie Vowell at the Home Depot on Lawrenceville Hwy in Decatur, GA was awesome working with me to find a range. We had just experienced a kitchen fire and had done research on what we wanted. Ms. Vowell worked with me looking at different ranges and answered all my questions. Making a decision wasn't difficult with her help. She made the task of replacing our range a positive experience and I will return to the store for any other appliances needed because of her help.

Your survey with a receipt is stupid. I just wanted to commend Kim from Home Depot on colonel glen Highway, Fairborn Ohio, the window and door section for doing a most excelllent job in making sure my door was put in. She was consistent following up even after it was done to make sure I was happy with the service. You all need every employee to be like that. Then your rate would be 100% and not 68%

I want to convey my accolades for Chris;CAH118 at store 3489. I'm a truck driver and have been to a dozen home improvement stores fruitlessly including Home Depot. I have to purchase a dozen windows and some have customized ROs. Over a month ago I visited HD in Rochester Nh and interacted with the associate at the windows/doors department and had negative results. But after walking through the window aisle I was approached by Chris and he was professional, congenial, empathetic, diligent and within 5 minutes was purchasing a window for trial purposes because the size he was able to build for me. It was an excellent fit and the quality is phenomenal. Chris is an exemplary employee that I'm now befriended with but had no previous association. I'm going in this week to purchase the remainder of my windows and will only interact with Chris and have sent new customers to him because of his expertise.
Sincerely, Norman LeBlanc 781-307-7718 03887

I was at 3501 on Eubank in Albuquerque. I needed a tool and was waiting for a while! A head cashier named Nicole? was so incredibly helpful!! I saw go from one end of the store to the next like speedy Gonzalez lol. My wife and I went to check out and she's dancing with her co-worker. We absolutely loved it!!! Wish we could do something special for her... we'll look for every time we need something!! She's full of smiles and kindness!
Thank you!

Stockton store on feather river drive. I went in with a broken weed whip, 6 or 7 weeks old, I couldn't find the receipt, I figured it was 50-50 that I'd get it replaced. There was some confusion because I didn't have the receipt. Roger Hahn came over to help us, we received absolutely amazing customer service from him. I left the store happy & with a new weed whip!
I was stunned.

HUGE compliments to Kizzy from the Vauxhall NJ store. She took a big problem and what looked like would be a completely negative experience on Thursday evening and turned it into a success. After an hour of not getting anything resolved she took over and was exceptional. She listened and understood the issue and never tried to fob us off. She worked through a solution which we agreed would work and she promised to resolve the next morning . She delivered. Literally. She drove the truck herself and our project while it's delayed we believe we can finish on time before the critical deadline.
Thank you Kizzy

I would love to just take a minute to express my appreciation to two of your employees at Home Depot. I was having problems in using a piece of equipment which I purchased at Home Depot. Storms had come and trees had blocked my driveway. Danny in rentals and Michelle in hardware, came to my rescue. Their kind and knowledgeaable assistance saved the day. Thank you Home Depot for having such great employees.

481749 My wife and I were at Home Depot on BBJ this afternoon. We were buy items that would amount to a substantial amount. We were told that our phones needed the Home Depot app. On our phones and in addition we needed to fill in all the information on the app. Fortunately TAMMI our customer
service representative insured that our phones had all information completed in the app. and that we had the bar code scanner on our phones. Wow! What a stellar employee! Five star rating all the way. Thank you.

We visited the Home Depot in Commerce, Georgia. We needed pavers that were not on the shelf. We asked and were told they were out of stock. We then went to the cashier, Annie, and asked her if they were in stock. She checked for us and found that they were NOT out of stock. She paged for someone to come help us. She also informed the worker of the supply and location of the pavers. She apologized multiple times. She was very helpful and friendly. Hard to find people to work and do it well these days. Thank you Annie. I sure hope Home Depot appreciates your hard work! We sure do.

I was fortunate to have Sasha the supervisor and Lisa in customer service at the Sports Arena store in San Diego 92110 help me over the phone going way beyond the normal amount of time to help finish my order of 20 bags of garden mulch.

Lisa was very patient and understanding of my situation as an elderly long time customer that couldn't come to the store to resolve the online problem issue.

She was great and deserves a raise in my opinion!

I just wanted to write a review on customer service Associate, Rebecca, at the St. Augustine Home Depot on US #1 from today.
Rebecca was outstanding in her determination to make it right for us after we purchased a dishwasher that was delivered yesterday but they could not install it. We were trying to make sure our installation charge of $179.00 was taken care of by the delivery company. It was not, so Rebecca spent half an hour on hold with Home Depot Rep. who was trying to resolve it. Rebecca went over and above to make sure it was complete. She did an excellent job in Customer Service. Thanks much Rebecca, much appreciated.

I actually work at Home depot as a P/t employee for the last 13 years. Tried to return some light bulbs that were the wrong color and was denied the first time without a receipt, although I didn't want a refund per say just exchange for correct color. Was told by manager to go back to returns line with a receipt, which I did have and after waiting another ten minutes was denied again . My purchase was around 15 days old. I left the store and awaiting someone to call me after they look into it. I had never heard of this before and was completely caught off guard.

I worked for Home Depot as a Kitchen Designer for 10 years. They place no value on designer qualifications, experience or talent. They just want a warm body to fill the seat that is willing to work for $12 an hour. If the designer screws up your project it's your fault. You signed the papers. Whenever I made a mistake I would admit it and insist that it be corrected to my customer's satisfaction. This made me an unacceptable employee. You ask why did I make mistakes. H D designers work in a dirty, noisy store with no heat and no air conditioning. They are constantly interrupted by customers desperate for help. They are required to help these people at the expense of their design customer. The H D treats all customers the same whether they are buying a nail or a $30,000 kitchen. Never buy an installation from them. They treat their subcontractors very badly. They pay them poorly, they pay them late and blame all mistakes on them. Consequently, your install will be a mess. If they screw up your project go directly to customer care in Atlanta. They are your only hope.

Since it seems my last posy was taken down.At this hiring event it was common knowledge that they were trying to solicit information on the candidate's that worked at? During this process they would deny and reject applicant/candidates that were applying @Homedepot #Homedepot because they worked at? Mind you they same work they were applying for is and was the current skill set that they were already in and some with a few or more years of this same skill set in this collaboration and through backdoor process which according to the #EEOC @EEOC are illegal and also according to #Homedepot Headquarters HR Department. In doing so they denied in an arbitrary manner with malice and outside of the scope of their perspective role's those candidates/applicants an opportunity to better their livelihoods' or excel in a skill set that may or may not have been available for them in their current situation by systematically breaking the law when it came to Title VII follows in part; (UNLAWFUL EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES SEC. 2000e-2. Recently resigned from Home Depot, I have previous injuries that preclude me from standing all day on Concrete without horrific pain. Took it until Doctor said "you're done or don't walk in the future". So I resigned, I used to be in management for a couple of retail outlets in same market, this Home Depot is terribly under staffed. Busy day may have 20 or 30 customers in an aisle or area asking for help, every body gone to lunch or helping elsewhere. Couple that with Associates that don't know what they are talking about, like lot attendants helping in plumbing or electrical. If you don't know say so! Numerous times I had customers so made they made threats and demanded to see manager, when manager arrived they would walk away, unwilling to tell their tale. Managers seemed irked if you pointed out a problem or offered a solution. Lots of good employees, untrained, overrun with customers, unable to change for the better. Many of the good employees move on, the pay sucks, the treatment is insincere, and the environment is brutal if you give a damn about your customers. I scheduled by man hours in previous jobs, when a business does a million in sales in one day you might need more than one or two associates per section that know what the hell they are doing, besides hiding while people call for help on deaf ears.

For customers that are frustrated please try reaching the customer contact center by calling 1-800-home-depot. Most items are returnable for 90 days main exception is major appliances. At times your customer service frustration is extremely understandable but as a company we want to do right for the customer.

Home Depot has a program called Success Sharing, where if the particular store meet/surpass certain sales number goals, they "share" in the profit. The more they surpass the more money the employees at that store get to split. Their customer service is solely numbers driven. Finding Help in HD is often hard because the managers send people home early to increase the stores profitability in success sharing. Customers get idiots that don't know what they're doing because the Garden Department employee is trying to help you in Electrical and Plumbing. If you generally get acknowledged quickly at HD I can almost guarantee it's because the employee left while helping one customer to juggle you in with them.

I was fired from home depot. I sincerely pride myself in customer service. I was told I had a bad attitude and am unwilling to help customers. This was a big hit to my self esteem. I sincerely tried to help people. The floor employees are often buried at least 3-5 customers deep, even if you see that employee alone in an aisle. However this is absolutely NO excuse fro poor customer service. I am only trying to point out what the managers are doing to really screw up the customers day.

Take a second next time you want to report an employee. The customer is right 100% of the time. HD will fire and blacklist that employee Faster than you know what. Filling the store with yet another new body to take a beating till the store has an individual to blame and fire for poor customer service. Use that power not only to get someone fired, but to get the correct person fired. Thanks everyone and a have a good day.

I read a ton of bad comments and opinions about homedepot and to be frank it really ticks me off. First of all I am an associate at store #0383 in Gonzales,La.,I have been here for 4.4yrs.,the first 3 yrs. as Millworks DH,now TRC,my wife "Dianna"is terminal, she has Pleura Mesothelioma, our son "Alfred"is a downs child with a congenital heart defect and is wheelchair bound on oxygen 24/7,I myself suffer from rheumatoid Arthritis and Pancreatitus,we barely get buy with all the health issues we have and as a 1 income family it gets so bad we cant even afford food, gas, cable and must overdraw our checking each payday to live til the next payday, repeat and repeat, through this all my manager "Ryan Poff" and before him "Parker",Mr.Don Harrelford,Robert Butler,Tyieka,Nicky and Mr. Ted,have been gracious and done everything they can from our store to corporate paying for my mother's funeral, without HomeDepot my family would have ended by now just due to stress, when I felt God had abandoned us and spent sleepless nights depressed and in tears,my management and corporate helped when noone else would, not family, friends or state programs,JUST HomeDepot,NO OTHER job I ever had,No company Ive ever heard of would go to such lengths and for that I owe HomeDepot Love,Respect and my family, maybe some dont see what I see but if every damned company in the US would step to the fence for its employees like HomeDepot has our country wouldnt be in the sad "we cant do that itkll cost too much, our bottom line would suffer"world we live in then each one together take responsibility, love their employees, not treat them as disposable assets, then you'd see the country as our parents did,our grandparents, when made in the USA meant something,so save your petty b**ching for someone else,HomeDepot deserves our commitment to them from what I see and our loyalty,I will NEVER say a bad word against them...I CAN'T!,let's spend more time actually seeing home depot as I see it..a "Home"first,a"Depot"second.

I previously worked for home depot as well. I thought they were a good company. I was blind to really see the truth. management team has bad judgement. they will take care of a customer which will lead to mark downs for the store and lower our values as a company. there is no preofessionalism in this company what so ever. associates are not treated with any respect and get paid barely ninimum wage and to have to put up with nonsense. not worth it. I would never get breaks or lunches on time or breaks in an 8 hour shift. home depot is not a good choice for employer or a place of business
