Stub hub sucked. Terrible. Selling tickets and it cost me more than I was getting due to app errors, app malfunction- terrible platform

I purchased two tickets for $82.24 on 01/20/2023 for a hockey game.
Purchase was confirmed and tickets were in my wallet in StubHub.

When arriving at the event, tickets were not viewable/downloadable.
The event was also not showing my tickets.

No customer support was available as they state "customer service all the way to your seat" is obviously not true.

In short, I needed to buy two new tickets to the event, doubling my cost.
After the event, I filed a complaint and StubHub ultimately told me to go %*ck myself.

Now, I'm left with one thing left to do, and that's to share my story about why people should not use StubHub. There are many alternatives to StubHub, alternatives that don't steal your money.

WARNING: DON'T BUY PARKING PASSES THROUGH STUBHUB. I just bought a parking pass for an event. When I received it, I immediately saw that the parking start time would not allow me enough time to get to and see the full event. I called customer service right away, but they denied a refund. I pointed them to their website homepage where it says "Every order is 100% guaranteed," but they refused to budge. What does "100% guaranteed" mean these days? Wow. It means they ripped me off, I guess. Congratulations, Stubhub. Now I'm done with them.

Yeah, my worst experience with an app and company is stubhub. I sold the tickets there but after talking with more than eight times and calling them, sending the approval of my bank statement that they didn't pay me, talking with twitter and Facebook account of them and just get same thing from all of them that we paid but actually they didn't, it is just in their app and your profile that you are paid.
Nothing will be transferred to your bank accounts by them, even with their provided reference number I talk with my bank CIBC and VISA, they couldn't find any trace of payments by stubhub there.
I checked twitter with stubhub hashtags and yes so many people had same issue.
They just steal your money, time and make you annoy.
I suggest never use this app and if you can sell or buy in more trusted way or go and enjoy your tickets that you bought from some where else.

One of the absolute worst experiences I have had. I had ordered tickets for a college basketball game, our event got canceled because of the blizzard-like weather we are going to have. I called and they essentially told me I was lying about it being canceled, "it's going to be postponed." I then explained to them to go to college basketball website and see that it says it's been canceled. "We will give you a credit, but you have to have an account." I do have an account. I don't want credit, I want my money back. This is the worst company.

I listed Andrea Bocelli concert for sale. They were to email me if my tickets sold. My account today was charged $166. They claimed the tickets sold but my email address was inaccurate. First the lady said the email was missing .com at the end and when I challenged that the account could not have been set up with an account that did not have .com, she gave me a different error. DO NOT BUY DO NOT LIST.....

I purchased Buffalo Bills tickets. The tickets were unable to transfer to the Buffalo Bills Ticketmaster account. The rude customer service rep just told me to get a PDF of the tickets. After a half an hour on the phone, they advised me that oops, the tickets cannot be transferred as a PDF because there was a blue line running through the code. After another two hours of unsuccessful link to, the resolution was to just give the other people I purchased a ticket for the access to my StubHub account.

I purchased tickets from StubHub for a stray kids concert that happened on June 29, 2022, at Pruduential Center NJ. When I purchased the tickets, the seller transferred them, but immediately rescinded them, scamming over 400 dollars. I've called StubHub numerous times for a refund, and they've given me empty promises of the legal team responding with a refund. It has been 6 months since this issue started with no refund in sight. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM STUBHUB. THEY DO NOT HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Sold tickets on StubHub and buyer did not preview the seating chart. Buyer claimed listing was misrepresented and StubHub charged me with out fully investing. They are not seller supportive.

Highly recommend purchasing or selling your tickets elsewhere. Customer service does not exist in the traditional sense. First person could not communicate well or offer any assistance. My call was disconnected when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I called once again to speak to a supervisor and was told my call would be retuned in 24 hours. My original issue was a fraudulent review process that disabled my tickets from being listed for sale. The review process can take up to three days. The tickets are for the World Series so they are very expensive and without much time to spare. My tickets will be available for purchase on StubHub for one day, best case scenario. Also know the tickets were purchased, without fraud concerns, from StubHub the very same day I attempted to list them for sale. In hindsight, I should have reviewed StubHub. Plenty of information out there providing a clear warning.

I purchased a parking pass in advance for a concert, and the parking pass did not work (would not go to the barcode screen) leaving me having to pay for parking TWICE.
When I called to get a refund, I was told my tickets were valid and they refused to give me a refund. If my ticket was valid I WOULD HAVE USED IT. They also told me that because I did not call them right then and there (and, you know, miss my concert) that I would not be getting a refund. I placed the call today, which is the day after. Certainly they can see that my ticket barcode was not scanned somehow.
I am beyond angry and disappointed. I will be filing a formal complaint and will NEVER use stubhub again.
They DO NOT have their customers backs.

Placed concert tickets for sell on their website. Less then 2 hours later, was informed the tickets were sold. Went through the hoops of transferring tickets. Next morning, received an email stating the sell was canceled. Called stubhub and was told I would be charged a penalty as the tickets were not transferred. Checked the website tickets were purchased from and it stated tickets were pending transfer, waiting to be accepted by buyer. Was asked by stubhub to send an email with the screen shots stating above, and surprise, surprise, the website was working right. Asked to speak to a supervisor because this is the buyer's problem, not sellers. They "waived " the penalty fee, like they were doing me a favor. Just be careful with selling tickets through here, they are not honest and it's definitely a hustle. Go through Facebook or Craigslist. Never again!!!

I purchased tickets for an Arizona Diamondbacks game on 09/17 at 8:30am. Game was at 5:00pm. Order confirmation stated that tickets will be available shortly. 3:00 still no tickets and I call and they say there is an issue and they can't get ahold of seller and can not offer me alternate tickets, well ya you can't, it's 2 hours until game time. No call, no email nothing!!! Offers 120% refund as I have to buy more expensive tickets at the gate. Go to game and run into the seller, as our seats were in a section directly next to the one's we purchased from StubHub. I ask seller why they didn't answer the phone when StubHub called and he said, well if I want to go to the game and I didn't get a good price from StubHub or I can sell them for more money elsewhere, I just don't release them! What the heck is this??

Fast forward to a week later. I get the refund, but only 100% of it. I call, get "disconnected" 3 times. Finally a lady says, we only give 120% coupon, not refund. Now why would I EVER order from them again. What do you mean Coupon?? Puts me on hold for a supervisor. You guessed it, 20 min hold and yep. Disconnected!!!!

They listed tickets for a music festival as 3 days passes but what I got was a 1 day pass. When I contacted customer service for a refund I was offered 25%. They would not let me speak to a manager. They should be refunding the difference between what I paid ($368) and the current price of a 1 day pass ($70) since that is what I got. I should be getting a refund of at least $200. They have the WORST customer service and they are STEALING money from people. NEVER AGAIN

BEWARE - STUBHUB USES DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES! Tried to sell Harry Potter/San Francisco tickets on S.H.
Initially, the staff were very friendly & helpful. I contacted them several times to make sure I priced the tickets correctly, etc...Then 48hrs before the event, my listing was abruptly cancelled. They told me THEN that because my tickets were "PDF tickets", they deactivate listings 48hrs before the event. NONE of the 3-4 staff people I talked to mentioned this critical piece of information to me. If I'd known this ahead of time, I would have adjusted my ticket prices for a faster sale. Two times, they blew me off when I asked to speak to a supervisor saying I would get a call back, but never did. DO NOT USE THIS SITE FOR SELLING TICKETS. They are deceitful and irresponsible about alerting you to the full terms of selling tickets on their site... Lost almost $450. Am reporting them to the BBB as well.

My tickets were not provided by the seller and I my order was cancelled by stubhub hours before my planned event. I will never use this site again and highly advocate not using it to anyone due to this. Completely unacceptable to sell tickets and then not provide them at the last minute, then keep the customer's money for up to 10 days and ruining plans. This will be reported to the BBB and any other place I can provide this borderline illegal activity to.

Extremely predatory and deceitful customer service. I needed assistance when a transfer didn't go as expected and a link was supposed to be sent to me so I could send the tickets. The barcodes had been scanned and seemed as normal, I found out the morning of it hadn't transferred. Customer service said an email was coming and they would call back in 30 minutes. She cancelled the transaction instead and charged me. The next person hung up on me. The last one pretended to be assisting, refused to allow me to send the buyers the tickets, and lied about reversing the charge. It is theft through business practices and in the amount of $580.

Stubhub's website is the most unusable piece of brown matter I've ever come across. I'm trying to sell tickets and when I've filled in my information it doesn't let me click the Submit button. I've checked every slot and I filled them all in correctly, got the little green check marks and everything. But the freaking button is still not working.
Then, as a attempt at a solution, I've tried to log in through my phone to see if that works. I type in my email and password (I've even checked if my password was right through my computer) and what happens you may ask? INVALID EMAIL OR PASSWORD
Then I click the "Forgot password" button but the fudging email never arrives. I've done this a few times now and I'm not getting any emails to change my password!!!!
Other than that, their customer service is terrible! The chat is a robot, not a real person, and therefore can't answer any specific questions you might have that are not in the FAQ (and trust me, I've read the whole thing).
I've had to contact their team on Twitter, and at least they were nice and actually answered my question.
They don't have an email where you can contact them and your only hope is to call them BUT only if you're in the US or Canada, and since I'm not in either of those it's completely useless.
This has been my rant, excuse any bad words. Thank you for listening

I don't even have an account, never purchased tickets but some thief stole my card info. totalling almost 900.00 in the middle of the night. my bank says 10+ days to get a decision if they will return my money. StubHub just took my name the last 4 digits of the card number, my email and the transaction date and said someone will email me about a refund no case number or and instructions about the process or time frame. judging from this forum and their lack of security measures for buying and selling tickets in general 8 doubt I'll ever get my money back.

Stubhub stole $770 from. I purchased tickets for a James Taylor conert and paid for them months in advance. When I got to the venue my tickets were no longer accessible. Apparently they have a flawed process where the seller can cancal the trnasaction even though the funds were already paid. I contacted Stubhub and they refused to refund my money. Crooks.

Terrible customer service, had to see concert tickets last min and had an email they claimed they sent that never was sent. Overnight sent me to 3rd party collections who would not discuss the "fee" of $200 SH wanted. Last time will ever use this waste of space site. Beaware

Stubhub stole $770 from me. I purchased tow tickets to James Taylor concert to surprise my wife for our anniversary. Although Stubhub took payment months in advance, when we arrived at the venue the tickets were not accessible. Apparently, they have a flawed process where the seller can cancel the sale even though payment had already been made. I contacted Stubhub and they refused to reimburse me and were quite unsympathetic to the inconvenience they caused. Very unethical. I strognly urge you not to support their business.

I have used Stubhub in the past and was okay with their service. I'm not sure what happened, but there are rumors that they were on the verge of going bankrupt before they were bought out by Viagogo. Their service has declined, and their prices and fees have gotten outrageous!

I bought some tickets to a concert back in August and I wasn't real pleased with the fees I had to pay, but bought the tickets anyway! The concert was postponed multiple times due to covid, and it finally ended up being scheduled on the day that I was scheduled for surgery, so I couldn't go. I spent two weeks and 10 phone calls trying to get a refund, but they were unwilling to refund, so after much frustration, I had to settle for a credit. I recently found a concert that I wanted to attend, so since I had a credit, I went through StubHub. This is where I began to get really upset! I checked there prices for the tickets and placed them in my cart. Just for shi%s and giggles, I checked TicketMaster for the same tickets. I discovered that StubHub's price for the same tickets were 30% higher, and their fees were 40% higher than TicketMaster. I recalled that StubHub had a price match program that would give me a credit of 110%, so I attempted exercise the program. When I emailed them all of the required documents, it came back as undeliverable. I ended up calling them to find out why my email could not be delivered, and found out that they have discontinued the program and shut down the price match site! At this point I was stuck, because I had to use my $700 credit. I ended up paying $350 more for that tickets, then if I had went through TicketMaster. I will never use StubHub again!
