I have own G.E. appliances for over 10+ years now. Recently, I decided to change my G.E. Stainless Steel appliances to Black Stainless Steel. On my first delivery, the microwave was dented and the refrigerator was damaged as well. Then, I received my new microwave a week later, but the refrigerator was now on back order. About 3 days later, the microwave fan started turning on and off for hours. I called in to the company and was assigned a third party company to come look at it. That company never showed up and a week later the microwave stopped working all together. On December 3rd, my new refrigerator arrived and to my amazement it was damaged as well. I was told by the delivery company I will get a replacement on January 7th. Since I don't use a dishwasher, I am not sure if there is problems with it. I spent over $7,800 for these appliances and they are total junk. Mind you all of these appliances have had major issues within days of delivery. I am sooooo disgusted with this company and the 3rd party vendors they have hired to delivery their products. Customers beware and verify, verify, verify your products on delivery!

During the worst of Covid, we had to buy a GE French door refrigerator and stacked washer & dryer from Lowes as GE appliances were the only ones that could be delivered within 2 months. I now know why. Both have been disasters breaking down at least a half dozen each in less than two years that we've owned them. GE service has responded each time failing to repair the problems that occur on the first several attempts. Today the refrigerator has failed once more. The GE repairman was here just 2 days ago. The next first available appointment is 2 weeks from now. $500 or so of food has spoiled. $3500 of appliances is junk.

GE microwave model number JVM6175YK5FS bought at Home Depot for over $400 broke after less than one year of use. It was repaired and broke again, three months out of the manufacturer's warranty. POS!!!!

GE Appliance showed up at that house and repeated what the work order said, Refrigerator LED light not working. There are 7 LED lights and the technician showed up and repeated what the work order said. He showed up without a spare LED light and said the LED is not working but refused to check which of the 7 lights is bad. He said go check YOUTUBE for changing the LED. He quoted a cost of $800 for changing the LED lights and demanded the service call fee of $119. We had to pay him that fee. After talking with the GE Customer Relations, I received no help at all. I asked for return of the service call fee, but they hung up the phone on me. GE is at the bottom of all companies now, and their service attitude confirms it to be so. Get a local service company to work on your appliance, for they may be better than GE.

My bad experience is related to GE customer service. My washer and dryer were delivered and dryer was broken. Door latch lock was broken and couldn't close dryer door. I made mistake og not sending it back, but accepting it with agreement that it will be fixed. REpair company came, noted part needed, part got delivered with delay, and repairman came and fixed it. THe problem is that this whole thing took more than 30 days and now they wouldn't send somebody to install it cause it is outside of 30 day period. When they deliver appliances, you have 30 days to be installed, if it is not ready immediatelly. Mine wasn't installed because it was not functioning. I had them leave it in garage in the case there are issues with parts so it is easier send it back. Didn't want them to go trough whole installation part, if dryer needs to be returned.
Now my options are to return dryer and purchase new one or install it myself. I have hard time understanding expense and carbon footpring this will take, just because they
If you do purchase GE appliances, please make sure everything is ready for install, and if there is anything wrong, including small scratch, return it immediatelly, cause that seems to be the only way for you not to have headache with aftermath. Time on the phone, and waiting for rapair to be done is really not worth it. I would advse to steer away from GE in general. Their customer service is really reading you terms and not much of listening or taking ownership for their defected products

Alerting everyone before buying GE appliances and telling my story what I am going through. I have a case opened in GE "Case # 08826855". Here is proof of their service and support from Consumer Relations. Pathetic. Please do not buy any GE Appliances. Giving zero star to GE for Repair Service Scheduling and Consumer Relations.

Thank you for allowing me to correspond with you further via email. Your case number is. Please respond directly to this email (without changing the subject line) with any pictures or receipts to assist with your concern. I will be glad to assist you. You will receive a survey regarding your experience with GE Appliances. Question 2 (OSAT) will ask about the service that I personally provided. Not the overall GEA experience. I thank you in advance for your feedback.

Thank you for choosing GE Appliances!

We had a GE café refrigerator installed in our brand new home. It did not work from day one. The freezer wouldn't freeze and destroyed our food, which we had to throw out. The display doesn't work, the ice doesn't work, and the water doesn't work. It takes three weeks to even get a technician to come out. We scheduled a technician on the third try, and he was a no-show. Customer Service just said that they couldn't contact the technician. They offered us another appointment three days out. So we have been in our new house for almost 2 months without a working refrigerator/freezer. I would never recommend GE to anyone

Most disappointing experience ever with a GE washer purchased March 2022 delivered in April. Immediately there were issues. Damaged three of my blankets, multiple items of clothing pulling and wearing out brand new items after just a few washed. Looks like I had the clothes for years. Dealing with customer service they send a tech out. Tech says there's oil leaking in the transmission. They can replace the part that will maybe fix the horrible noise but they can't do anything about the fact it's damaging and leaving filth all over my clothes. Been talking to Alex service manager for just about a month now and trying to get a return auth for their horrible product with zero success. I had a baby in June. It's wrecking all the baby clothes on the delicate cycle. Just want to cry this is so frustrating. Never again will I buy a ge product. This will be going back to the store return auth or not I'll leave it in their entry way.

Another great American Company gone with the wind after being bought out by the Chi-Coms....new GE Profile Microwave /Convection Oven has had issues from Day one. Less than a year old. Finally got a tech to come out, changed the door (was getting condensation inside the glass). Asked as to why my Convection was not cooking evenly, stated it was a leak in the door.. OK, I get it. We'll that didn't work, still only cooks unevenly (front is undone, back is over cooked). Tech guys came back today(different company) and was told by the GE Tech line that it was working correctly iF the fan was running and the temp was reached.
Go figure, temp was reached (380) but when tested with a thermocouple Front of MW was 362 degree, back-was 406. degree. I am reasonable guy but your can't convince me that this is right..you should NOT have to turn your item around halfway thru cooking to cook it evenly.
Absolutely Crappy product and reaction to Service issues..

Not sure who builds anything in America any long, but I will NOT by another GE product...

In July 2021, we purchased a new GE dishwasher from our local Home Depot. We have our 4th service appointment this week for the exact same problem which they say is a faulty motherboard and it has already been replaced on a prior service call. GE Service says, yeah this is a problem, we just don't know how to fix it. We can't give you a new one until there has been 4 service calls on the exact same problem. Me: Well stop selling a defective product. We will not be buying anymore GE appliances. I am also placing this in your customer reviews. ?

Purchased a washer and dryer in July 2022. Delivery 8/8/22 dryer did not work and took 2 weeks to get a new one. Washer was run once at set up and three days later a rust ring in bottom of drum. Long waits for call backs and technician no show from GE. One technician told my wife and son "This should not happen to a brand new washer and this should be replaced". Upon numerous call backs no record of his statement. I have told multiple times that I would get a call back from Keyanna, Brianna and never do.

Dishwasher stopped working in June 2022. Repairman came July 1, 2022, said a part needed and would be ordered. Then never heard back. Repeated calls to GE repair hotline and customer relations get me hours-long holds, bounced around from one number to another, hung up on, and inconsistent answers. One agent said the repairman arrived August 12 but couldn't reach anyone -- UNTRUE, we work from home. She then said he ordered us NINETEEN parts!?!? Several agents have said the next time repairman can return is in OCTOBER. Each agent is less helpful than the next.

There customer service reflects why the company is going downhill overall. It is like one hand doesn't know about the other. They sent a damaged item twice. When I followed up on the status of delivery, I was bounced from one person to another or, the call is put on interminable hold. Wasted hours. All reps are friendly but only one seems to know what it's about.
Even there consumer relations number sends you for a loop!

Since 2021 when I bought a new G.E.washing machine, the service and repairs and replacements of three brand new machines, was a painful, unsuccessful attempt at owning the washer, I was finally given a refund but they waited until I had renters who had to move in and wait until I bought a new machine. The executive told me that without my receipt refaxed to her , I would not even been given a refund on a year old order with a 5 year protection plan added to it. This caused me income loss on my rental and stress, the service repair tech. intentionally left my case undocumented each time he found cement chunks falling out of the underside of the washer.

We own a GE washing machine and it has the setting drain & spin. However, the machine doesn't do this when selected. It refills the machine then rises then spins them fills then drains. If the setting says drain and spin, don't you think it should only drain and spin. This is not what the setting says and trying to use this setting for what it states is a lie and misleading. How about making that setting exactly what it says and only that. When the top load Machi e is off balance it won't drain the water out correctly so attempting to use this setting to finish it so you can resenter the load will only upset you and cause frustration. Change the setting so it can be used correctly.

We bought 4 GE appliances when we built our house in 2017 and the dishwasher always seemed somewhat noisy since installation but we never had one before so it was believed to be normal. The first few years of its life it was used very lightly due to not being around but the last year it has been used about 2 to 3 times a week. We have noticed that lately there has been more and more water pooling up in the base around the filter area as if it wasn't draining properly so I attempted to run the drain only feature which yielded negative results. So after a little investigating I found that the drain pump is locked up and not pumping the water out. I call the GE company and was on hold for approximately 32 minutes of our 34 minute conversion which resulted in no solution to our problem except for the employee telling me I would have to pay for a tech to come out to tell me what the part number is. Apparently there isn't a part number listed on the part but the tech somehow knows what the part number is from the same list that GE sees but GE is not trained in locating that part number from the model number or serial number of the unit. Also GE tells me that they won't help us with the cost of the part due to being out of warranty which I understand and am willing to pay even though it has barely been used but a little assistance would be greatly appreciated. Let's just say GE is very unhelpful and refuses to work with the customer in anyway and I would highly recommend not purchasing any GE appliances.

I called customer service because my 4 month old washer is leaking water, I got transferred to a very unprofessional, rude and racist older lady, who didn't even allow me to talk, she kept yelling at me and when I asked for her manager she hung up the phone. Very disappointed, the sad part is that I own 4 GE appliances ??

I have been without AC and heat for over a month now. They have no one to service the unit and cannot take it back to the store. I e been promised a refund for weeks and now they won't respond to my e mails. If your not willing to waste your money or not have one of your appliances than please stay away from GE.

Issue not with the completed service but with billing process. Bill received via e-mail contained only the total amount - no details on what was done or no details/breakdown of charges. Called support # & then received e-mail bill showing more info but still no indication of total or breakdown charges. No way to treat customers!

After 4 years, my GE Washer stopped washing and spinning. They wanted $500 for a new memory board, more expensive than the washer. GE Service said they could not help me as the machine was out of warranty and TOO OLD!! :-((

GE room air condition went out while still in warranty. After all paper work was submitted all Customer service will do is send a rebate check to be used only on another GE appliance. I DO NOT NEED OR WANT ANOTHER GE PRODUCT.
Have spent 4-5 hours on the phone.

Service is absolute garbage. Had an appointment today for my new oven that's been used 3 times and not working. Missed call from service tech that doesn't even list a # or leave message all the while I've been waiting 3 and a half hours. They're told to go to next call. Finally talked to a person and was told that's what they're supposed to do. I'm so frickin furious right now. Who's to say it won't happen again. Absolutely disgusting
