i have about a 2 year old dryer and the timer to change the settings stopped working. the timer cost me $125 including tax! way overpriced and poorly made. i will never buy GE again. their replacement parts are 4times more expensive than other brands.

We bought a ge gas range. It was Dented.was told that if we kept it we would get $50.00 from ge instead of returning it never got the $50.00 and that was in February.

Hello from Guatemala. I own a microwave model PEB7226SF2SS, everytime I cook anything carousel ends up opposite to door making it frustrating as time passes and result is always the same. Who was the bright engineer that designed this?

After over 20 phone calls and spending over 16 hours on hold it took 4 months for GE customer service staff to get my microwave replaced. Then they sent a damaged microwave. I have no doubt it was intentional. They are the worst people I have ever dealt with. I will never buy another GE product for the rest of my life and I advise everyone else to stay away from GE products.
If you have a problem they will promise a solution then jack you around for months hoping you will just give up.

First response was a contactor who GE sent out. He claimed to have fixed the drip problem on our washer. Less than one year old and under warranty. It started having repeated dripping and they set up a tech appointment. Then the washer stopped spinning completely. So, I felt that I should let GE know so that the tech was needing 2 concerns when he arrived. Wow...could not have called GE to let them know we had another concern to be on hold for two hours and 15 minutes! Don't even know the outcome, but that wait gave me a bad feeling about GE. Won,t purchase again.

My new 15 month old wall over has bee repaired 3 times with a total down time of 6 weeks. Now the over locked again and aI will be without an oven for 4 weeks. Parts will be in May 18th. I'm having a survival from cancer birthday part May 14th and 25 people will be there, with no ability to cook. My wife purchased an extended warranty for the oven because we knew this oven was a complete lemon. I Neve thought I would be without an oven for 4 weeks. We use the oven almost every day. This is total BS.

Our clothes washer stopped spinning and wouldn't work. We called Customer service and they scheduled a repair a week later. Service tech showed up, said he fixed the problem and left. We immediately tried another load and same problem. We called back and were told he cant turn around and we'd have to reschedule. So we did the following week. This time we cut our vacation short by a day to be present. Repair tech never showed up. When we finally got in touch with customer relations they said that he tried to call but no answer. This is not truthful as our phones work and we were home the entire day. They also had our email, and secondary phone. No message was left either.

Well we again contact the customer relations and they schedule a third time. within days they reschedule twice. We tried to speak with someone in charge or even a supervisor and was told we'd receive a call back. This didn't happen so we initiated yet another call.

We are currently awaiting the service repair appointment. After three+ weeks, numerous phone calls, and at least $100 in laundramat costs we still have a broken machine and as yet the only plan is another repair tech that may or may not show up. And may or may not have the parts to fix the appliance. The sad part is this is one of the few appliances that we actually purchased an extended warranty.

As of this moment I will spend an extra $1,000 and give it to MayTag or Whirlpool instead of ever owning another GE product. This is also sad because we currently own four appliances from GE. Never again. All because of their atrocious customer service (or lack thereof).

Motor died after 13 months!

I bought this unit from Home Depot and had it professionally installed. It worked well for 13 months and then it displayed an ERROR 1 message. I called GE and they recommended a service vendor. The vendor charged me $283 to install a new motor, parts and labor. The entire unit only cost me $399.00 so expected that GE would be covering the cost of the repairs. They said that the serial number suggested that the unit was a few years old (must have been in the store for quite a while before my purchase) even though I had only owned it for 13 months. GE would not support their appliance and would not pay for any part of the repair cost!!!!!!! This will be the last GE product that I will ever buy!!!!!!! Very upset and frustrated.

My brand new gas dyer's lint collector does not work since the 1st day I used it. It blows lint out the side of my house and collects on the grass, driveway, really, wherever it wants to collect outside!!!! I spent a year trying to get a resolution from GE; in the end, they told me my year's warranty expired.

I purchased a GE Christmas tree in November 2018 on a black Friday sale. I had eyed this tree for over a year and finally just decided to get it on sale since it was a pricey tree. I already had a tree up for that year so did not use it until 2019. This tree was my pride and joy and I was so in love with it. It is a 7.5 foot Aspen Fir with color-changing lights. The lights had so many different color options and it played Christmas music. It was up for about six weeks last year. We put it up last week and it was again my pride and joy. Luckily, we had not decorated it yet. It was lit the night we put it up and for about 20 minutes after I turned it on the next morning. After that 20 minutes, the lights started turning off and on a few times and then the tree was dark. We tried different outlets, unplugging and plugging in the device that connects to the tree with the speaker attached to no avail. We have a beautiful unlit tree. I called GE's support line three different times and did not get any resolution. Their support is in India and the language barrier was too much. They did not understand me. I left messages twice for their corporate office and have not received a call back. I looked online for a replacement part that I think we need and it does not seem to exist. I ordered a new adapter since that was all that I saw as an option but that did not work. I believe there is a short in the cord with the speaker attached. This tree is no longer sold anywhere. I am so extremely sad and disappointed in GE. I now own a pricy unlit tree that I got to use for ONE season. Shame on GE and their lack of customer service. I will never purchase a GE product again.

GE distributed this product (GE 7250269 Emergency Switch Flashing Light Activator). This item was great switch that enabled a 911 emergency vehicle to locate you home at night, which probably save many lives. I don't understand why GE stopped supplying these to the public.
I bought one about ten years ago and have used it twice. A lot of seniors in this country would probably them if they were advertised on TV ad demonstrated how they work. I should have bought several of them at the time. Let me know why GE stopped supplying these.

We called GE to come look At our microwave because the fan was not working, when we called it took a week to get an appointment, once we schedule the appointment we were told somebody would be here between 1pm and 5pm On the day of our appointment husband stepped out for one minute and came back there was a message stating again they would be here from 1 to 5. To call back to confirm. My husband called back, He had to leave a message on the technicians voicemail, the technician never called back so my husband called GE, he got the runaround but he was told somebody would be out, had to call back again and they said somebody will be there between one and five, it's 515 and no one's here, so my husband called back again and they were extremely rude on the phone and said we can schedule you for next week. I will never buy another GE appliance again. And their customer service sucks

I am very upset with GE at this point. As I flip houses in the Louisville Kentucky area I ordered a 33" refrigerator in May 2020 in the mist of Covid19. Shortly thereafter I was told everything is on backorder. I understand that things were on hold for a brief hold but I have since sold a property with no refrigerator and continually being told it is still on back order. It is now the end of September a d I am being told now that the in transit date is November 18, 2020. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I could have made my own refrigerator in China and shipped and delivered myself by now. PISS POOR SERVICE ON GE's PART.

My experience with GE is absolutely the worst one in my life and I can't believe one of the big American names can treat a customer like this.
I bought a washer/dryer combo unit and it was delivered on 7/24. Dryer was okay but washer did not start. I placed a service call and it took about a week for a tech to come to my place. He said chip had to be replaced and he placed the order. After a week, GE called and told it was not shipped yet so it would be here next week. Then on that week, GE told me it was not shipped yet. I asked to find out where it is then they found it was back ordered until October - whey can't they find about the back order when it was placed to order first place??? Since I complained I could not wait until October, GE agreed to replace the unit. The unit came following week. Delivery guy was supposed to install the unit but he could not do it. GE kept sending the same company to install the unit 5 times and they could not install.. I complained as it was already more than 1.25 months past since my original call. GE arranged another vendor to come and install the unit but they were fully booked for a while so they cancelled my ticket. I complained GE again and GE told me to get a local installer and GE would reimburse. I arranged a local installer and they were able to install the unit. Installation fee was $294 and I submitted a copy of the invoice to GE. By then, it was about 2 months past. On 9/26, I received a check of $150 from GE. They only reimbursed $150 for $294 cost I have paid. After putting a customer in this situation with all angers and frustration for 2 months, which no customer should have gone through this first place. They say the representative confirmed the reimbursement limit is $150 in a phone conversation. This is absolutely a trick to me. I am complaining that I never heard about the reimbursement limit in that call. I even feel they should pay for my psychological/mental torture caused by this unnecessary prolonged issue.
All through communications with GE, they were not empathetic but just going by book. I absolutely promised myself that I won't be purchasing GE products in my life.

I normally don't leave bad reviews, but I'm extremely frustrated. What kind of company is this? I spent over $2,000 on a brand new washer and dryer set - had to wait 2 weeks for it to be delivered, only to have the washer not work and need to be replaced. So after fighting for hours with rude, and I mean very rude, customer service, they tell me they will replace it. It's scheduled for another 2 weeks out. I called 3 times within those 2 weeks to make sure it was all on track and my delivery would arrive on time.. only to not receive a call the night before delivery, so I call and have them tell me it's not in the schedule. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! So then they ARE again EXTREMELY RUDE, and schedule me for another 2 weeks - it was suppose to be delivered today, between 12-4. Wouldn't you know it, it can't be delivered!! I'm done. Y'all can take your $2,000 and shove that washer and dryer right where the sun don't shine. Worse company ever and I will never have anyone I know buy from you again!!!!!!!

I had water dripping from the back of my monogram freezer. I decided to call GE service hoping that they carry the clamp with them. I knew of GE higher service
charge but hoped they carry the rusted clamp. The repair man came and had the parts and changed it in 4 minutes. Then he asked me for an additional $103! He had not informed me before he does the repair that a small repair would cost an additional $103. He also told me the rusting clamp was a common problem and GE has redesigned it. The customer service didn't care about my complaint of additional $103 and they don't care about retaining customers. I won't call GE repair again and obviously wont buy GE products again. I had a problem with my MW a couple years ago and they couldn't even repair it and I had another repair person do it. Badly run company

I will never purchase anything from GE again. It was a bad experience all the way around. Within a couple months of purchasing a clothes dryer, it suddenly stopped working. They came out and fixed it and shortly after it stopped working again. They came out and fixed it and shortly after it stopped working and they came out and fixed it again. There were a total of 4 service calls placed. Customer Service told me they were going to give me another appliance since there were more than 3 calls placed. She then transferred me to Customer Relations who informed me that I do not qualify for a replacement but they would send someone to fix it again at no charge. I received a call the day of the scheduled service informing me that there would be a charge of $84.95 + tax and that parts and labor would be extra depending on what it needs. Really? As I am typing this I have been on hold for an hour. Typically it is 2 1/2 hours of my time to go nowhere. I hope that people view
these ratings before they purchase anything from GE. I wish I did. They were dishonest, incompetent and deliver lousy customer service.

I have never written a review, good or bad. This is truly warranted. Purchased a microwave may 30 2020, 33 days later it broke. Lowes would only refund w/in 30 days. Had to contact GE. Horrible customer service, rude and impatient. It's their way only, to keep your money. Would not refund me, initially they were going to send me another one. 2
Weeks later they email me that they no longer have them in their warehouse, told me to go by another GE appliance and they would refund that one after I mail them the reciept. I will NEVER by GE!!

I bought and had installed a GE water softener 3 months ago. It abruptly stopped working. When calling customer service 6 different occasions all they would do is transfer me from one department to another. They are saying my practically new unit isn't covered under warranty and they expect me to pay for a service person to come out. I will NEVER but a GE appliance again solely due to the way their customer service reps treated this situation!!

I am so disappointed in our GE washer! It is 1 and half years old. It's a G013 model. We have to sit with it to wash a load of clothes. Towels are the worst!!!! We have had two service people look at it to no avail. One man said it was not a good choice and we would probably always have trouble with it!!!!! Through the years I have relied on GE products and thought it would be a good purchase. Never again, I wish you would discontinue selling this model to save people's nerves and anguish. Beth Kesler

2nd new dryer came today broken in back right out of box ! First one dryer did not tumble defective. Sold be Home Depot ! We bought these on line over three weeks ago and had to wSit all this time for a replacement dryer because of first one being defectives. I wish to hell we had nott purchased from Home Depot and wished we had not settled on GE ! . The 3 rd dryer is scheduled for delivery next Wed and if this one is broken Hone Depot can take both the new washer and dryer back and we will never buy GE again! We will also cancel our Home Depot account . Absolutely unacceptable no quality control !!

1st service call, technician comes and turns up heat because oven is under cooking cookies once it is preheated.
2nd Service call, technician turns down heat because cake is now burning
3rd service call said it should work now. Now shutting off during baking.
4th service call says he's only checking codes puts me on speaker with GE tech and when I say something he silenced me with his finger and says I'm not allowed to explain the situation. His name was Adam
5th service call replaces fan and now oven does not work at all. It's Friday and will be with out for the weekend. Adam
January 20,2020 Repairman Adam messages stove will be replaced will hear something with in 48 hours.
January 22,2020 have not heard anything so call and get put through to voicemail
January 23, have not heard anything, told woman handling my case is out of office till January 27 Requested someone else. Edith Vanessa San Romano Borres Relations Manager, office of the president for consumer relations.
January 23 Mrs. Borres says she will put a rush on it, I let her know I will be leaving for Europe on January 30th for 1 month and my house sitter will not be able to take possession so I need it before the 30th. She says no problem will put a rush on it.
January 27, 2020 have not received any info re. Delivery so call Mrs. Borres says she will follow up and call me back, never returns the call.
January 29th call Mrs.Borres again and leave message. Does not return my call. Send an email to the CEO of the company he does not reply.
Ovation calls saying they will deliver on January 30th. I will be on a plane to Europe then. Set up delivery for my return on February 28th.
February 28th Ovation delivers stove. 8:30 am Plug in stove at 9:30 am it reads an error code (oven is misswired) contact Mrs. Borres she assures me she will put a rush on it and I will have a new one to me in 2-3 business days it's Friday so not till next Tuesday or Wednesday, still have no use of an oven or stove for 5 more days. Says she will give me an extra year warranty once I push about all the inconvenience this has caused me. First she says we don't compensate for that. Not sure if that is actually anything since I purchased the extended warranty of 4 years after the first year is done.
March 3, 2020 I contact Ovation since they have not contacted me about delivery. Told they have not received the stove and therefore delivery will be Friday.
March 3 call Mrs. Borres at 10 am and leave message call her again at 11:30 gone for lunch, call agin after lunch, she's busy. Ask to speak to her manager told she doesn't have one, get put through to some guy who says ya the order was placed to late on Friday so Ovation only delivers Tuesday's and Fridays you'll just have to wait.
March 3 Contacted Canadian applience where I purchased it and was told to go through GE
And ask for an RMA# and if I can get that then I would have a return authorization but other then that once I plugged it in it was under manufacturers warranty.
March 4 Called Mrs .Borres left message 5:30 am asked again for a return call nothing. Called at 7:30 am spoke to her and let her know how dissatisfied I am and that I wanted an RMA# (which is the # I needed to provide to the original retailer to receive a refund) told you are getting this product it's in transit and will arrive Friday. Told her I planned to follow up with my resources.
March 5,2020 received a call from delivery company unwanted stove being delivered tomorrow
