This is the worst fitness center we have ever been a member of. Or, should we say the loudest. Weights are dropped on a consistent basis. None of the employees ever go out of the office and tell anyone to try and drop them slower or more quietly. SOmetimes it is like a loud party there, loud groups of laughing and talking, and machine hogging- as in sitting at the machines on their cellphones and not getting off of the machines so others can use them. We go there for a peaceful workout, not a noisy, disturbing, and difficult to think or relax place to take better care of ourselves. NO rules are flowed there, as no one ever bothers to tell anyone anything!

They have overbilled me multiple times. I am trying to cancel my membership. They will not reimburse you for their mistakes.

I have called numerous times about the hot water at the anytime in Bastrop Louisiana. The person who works there does not seem to be concerned about the hot water and just puts me off. This has been going on for over 2 months.

I tried to cancel a membership back at the beginning of the year and never received a response. I was closing my bank account where the payments were being made and I did not want to have anything negative with the account.
I am now being charged 3 months of alleged backpay even though my contract had ended SEVERAL years ago and I was supposed to be on a month to month basis.

I do not understand why they kept adding months to my account AFTER it did not go through and i was NOT LONGER under contract. I have been a member for several years and simply do not have time at this stage of my life.
Whoever I spoke to said they have no leeway and I was responsible for the full amount. You guys used to be my gym of choice but when I am able to got some personal time for myself I will NEVER join again with Anytime Fitness and I will STOP recommending this gym.

I have used this gym for YEARS and in multiple states and I cannot believe this is how someone is treated especially when I did try to reach out and never heard back.

Cecil at the Stafford Virginia facility is rude and condescending to paying customers. I attempted to contact him several times via email, phone and I'm person. When I finally was able to get him on the line he continued to cut me off and was unwilling to provide requested information to contact his superiors. I was attempting to resolve and account issue and he was completely rude and unhelpful. I have never been this displeased with my customer service. Thanks to that store manager I will never return to Anytime Fitness. My daughter and husband will also be closing their accounts as well.

Someone come up with the idea moving the treadmills and the ellipticals at an angle, now nobody can have a conversation with the person on the machine next to them, please move them back like they were, thank you.

I signed up for the 21 day challenge and after only three classes within a two week period, I caught the flu. I informed the person Hannah who did my paperwork that I wouldn't be finishing and that I would not continue my membership. I have not gone back to that gym since and this was back in November/December of last year. I have still been charged random amounts since and no one has returned calls and the cancellation apparently wasn't placed. I had to put in a stop order on my account for the withdrawals to stop. I have called and called. Stopped in three times and Hannah wasn't in the office. The number listed to call is the stupidest automated system that exists. You don't even get to talk to a person and you can't skip talking and just type in what you need. It's ridiculous. Although I doubt they'll refund me for the over $300 they've taken, I would appreciate it if they would stop sending me mail and stop trying to charge my account for a canceled membership.

I went into the Crowley La location 79526 very interested in a membership. However, left without one due to not wanting to disclose my phone number and email address for the guest registration to do a simple walk through tour! So to look at the facility I am required to give my phone number and email address. Poor ooor service and policy IMO. Furthermore, it makes absolutely no sense at all to charge an annual fee on a month-to-month pay basis and not a contract. Ridiculous. Im reading some reviews about it being almost impossible to cancel even without a contract. That's bad business!!

The manager at anytime fitness Schaumburg- most disrespectful, condescending, and flat out rude manager let alone person I've met. No warnings come my husband used my key fob to get in while waiting for me when trying to cancel he threatened with fees and said it needs to be approved I reached out to another anytime fitness gym and was able to cancel without trouble this manager should not be managing

I am a member of the Anytime Fitness in Lynchburg Virginia. I like the atmosphere and the equipment. 24 hour access is nice too. However, that's where the positive feedback ends.

The cleanliness of the gym is terrible. The men's (and women's, according to my wife) locker rooms are just filthy. The urinal and toilets never get cleaned, nor the sinks. The floor is mopped occasionally, but not swept. Just someone swirling debris and paper around with a wet mop. The showers often smell so bad you have to hold your breath. I have honestly seen many more gas station bathrooms much cleaner than this.

I have complained to the girls who sit behind the front desk to no avail. Recently I was told the manager had left, so there was no direct supervision for the staff. This is no surprise considering the condition of the facility.

Assistant Manager is rude, unfriendly etc.....Look down on member's and a liar once he have a bad impression on the member's.

He will speak all lie's once he is out of anger and many word's is not true. I don't recommend those who are joining him, others staff are acceptable.

Not Impressed! A word of caution for those living in a van/camper and using the 3 facilities for showering of Anytime Fitness in the Victoria area of Vancouver Island. I arrived on the Island from Alberta in Oct 2022 for health reasons wanting to escape the -35 temps of winter, and of course some fishing. Having suggestions from friends living the lifestyle, and various utuber channels I decided to get a 6 month Membership Plan at Anytime Fitness Langford. I was honest from the start about my intentions of facility usage, and the Membership application information included Address - Mobile Living, which I still have. The staff were encouraging and helpful. Then when they moved to their new location I received this email on Feb 22nd

It is learnt and observed that you have been utilizing our clubs only for the shower facilities. Our gyms are intended to be a place where members workout and only members using the gym as intended may utilize gym facilities.
Using the gym solely for the bathroom, shower, or any other non-workout activities can have a negative impact on members using the gym as intended and therefore is prohibited. As such your membership is cancelled with immediate effect. The prorated amount for the unused term of your membership in the amount of $26.39 has been refunded back to your account.

The very next day I received another email:

We are sorry that you have left our family. We hope you had a great experience at the Club and that we have contributed to some extent in you achieving your fitness goals. We wish you the very best in your fitness journey.

I have been a member since 2016 and a medical condition has made it very painful to work-out. I have provided a doctor's evaluation as per requested and denied cancellation.

Kailua,Oahu anytime fitness is the worst gym I have ever been a member of. I recently moved to a different town and I asked to cancel my gym membership and they said I had to pay our the 1 year and 4 months left that I had. I called the staff and emailed for 5 months trying to talk to anyone. Finally I called and the guy was new and told me regardless of the situation I can cancel but gotta pay 1200.00 left on my membership

Anytime fitness are doing things incorrect. Whoever runs the office over there in Lebanon, Ohio on Genntown Dr. I called up in January 2023 because my contract was up and the guy said you can cancel anytime you want. Would you like to cancel? I said yes. He said okay but whatever comes out in January will still come out. And I said okay. No problem. Then come February they take out 32 out of my account that they should have never touched, especially from a membership that's canceled to me. That's theft how are you going to take money out of someone's account? Who's not even a member anymore? This is a little ridiculous they need to correct this because now they're taking food out of my kid's mouth just because inflation is bad, you want to start robbing people and taking extra money out of their account. I hope this gets corrected and corrected fast before I have to keep putting complaints in all over the place. This is ridiculous

First and foremost, I'd like to file a complaint against anytime fitness in Lebanon, Ohio on Genntown Dr. I called in January to cancel my membership so the guy said sure no problem because the contract was up. He said whatever comes out in January will still come out. I said no problem so he put it in to be canceled in January. On February 4th they took 32 dollar's out of my account that was canceled already. If my account is canceled already, why is there money being taken out of my account? This needs to be corrected and I don't want to hear about 7 to 10 business days for their mistakes. Correct it or I will take this up to corporate every single day and take it around the world and it's not about the money. It's the principal of what they did. This is theft on my account that they stole money from and there should be no mistakes when my friend was standing right there when my membership was canceled in January. So I have a witness as well so I really hope this gets fixed and that money goes back into my account

he agreement that was presented to me at the AF Abilene , Tx was void due to the wrong dates written as the term of the agreement. Upon realizing this, I went in in person and told the staff the contract was void based on the incorrect dates and I wanted it torn up, The AF staff lied to my face saying those were not the dates of the term of the contract. I believed they were wrong, but I was not sure what else I could do at that moment. Before I could look into it further, I was injured and not been able to exercise. This was a day or so after I went in person to see the staff at AF. So, I have never used the invalid membership that I've been wrongfully charged for.
I have the original contract showing what I signed with the invalid term dates, and I have since received a copy of from the AF staff that shows that they had the gall to e to write over the original term dates and changed the date on the contract. The dates they said were not the term dates of the contract.
Completely illegal!
I want billing stopped immediately, as well as reimbursement for all charges that have been made against my account from the date the of writing of the contract that was never valid.
It's no surprise that ANYTIME FITNESS has an "F" rating with the BBB.

So me and my friend took a 6 month membership of Anytime fitness in November 2022. After a month we got an email and sms stating the franchise owners have legal issues with the anytime fitness brand hence they are changing their Branding. Later that was also out on hold and now another month later the Gym is shut and we can't even go to workout at other centres as this membership is not being entertained by other franchise of Anytime fitness. We are scammed by both.

Anytime Fitness Summerfield Fl. The manager inactivated my key fob with no warning Jan 8. When asked he said my insurance Silver Fit was no longer accepted. I should have at the very least gotten an email, text or phone call. I almost paid for a membership but had a bad feeling. I went to another AF nearby and was told that my insurance was good until the end of April. Very unethical

Due to i facing scam during 30 Dec 2022 and the new replacement card only available to collect at 3 Jan 2023. Anytime fitness just charge me the late payment without listen any problem. They just care on the money not customer services ! I join Anytime fitness from 2017 with other branch, they also will give me at least 7 days to provide the reason but my current this branch is totally too over. As long as first day of the month never pay then will be have the surcharge.

Gym become very filthy this year (2022) also have a new branch manager. Gets angry if you comment on decline of gym this year over 5 years before this year was very clean place

The manager of auburndale anytime fitness refused to let me get my possessions,$50 headphones my plug my cord for charging my phone and berated me in front of everyone and talk to me like I was a child I'm 64 years old. Told me I wasn't allowed to go in and out like it was her house told me I was not allowed to use medical marijuana around her facility even though I can't work out without it and it's totally illegal the police who spoke to me told me I should call and talk to you even they realized she was abusive and this is not corrected ASAP is going to lead to a lawsuit if she deleted the film that's obstruction of justice that act alone is a felony

I had previously filed a complaint on the Anytime Fitness franchise in Munising, MI because of a breach of privacy by a previous employee. I just wanted to give an update. The District Manager Jaimie Thayer was wxtremwly helpful and was dismayed to learn of the incident. She went out of her way to make sure I was ok and wanted to make sure I was a satisfied customer. She did everything she could to assure me the situation would never occur again. I have now returned to the gym and glad we were able work it out. She could t fix the breach of privacy but her dismay and helpfulness resolved the situation. Thanks again to Jaimie, these are the types of people you want representing your company, she is wonderful.

I have recently been training at anytime fitness Gawler green the blonde/grey hair lady, is extremely rude, everytime I come into the club she is always on her phone and never greets the members entering the gym. The other staff are so friendly, always have a big smile and make you feel very welcomed
