I have been thrifting most of my life and love it. I noticed an increase in shoppers at the thrift stores and said to my husband, the prices are now going to go up because of the increase. Low and behold they have certainly gone up. Greed, greed and more greed. They have joined the club. They have taken all the fun out of it. The points system is crazy and I have had many arguments with trying to get my points which I deserve. If an item doesn't have a colored tag, forget it, it is not being sold. How much money you lose by doing that is unbelievable. Some of the staff is very rude. Items are not being put out on a regular basis. I will not be donating there anymore either. It's a shame, but money talks and that seems to be what is more important to them now. Very, very disappointed. They have lost a regular customer in me!

Ive shopped and supported Goodwill thrift stores for nearly 25 years. Pricing was always decent and fair. Over the past year here in central Ohio the prices on DONATED items to your stores has gone through the roof !! I get so disgusted by the prices and all the better items being put online for sale. Ive heard many complaints from other customers regarding the high prices on your items that you get for FREE ! Ive heard many people say they will stop donating to goodwill because of the corporate greed and record profits they are yeilding. I will no longer donate or shop at a goodwill store until changes are made !

I purchased 8 Curated premium boxes from Goodwil in Miami. The first two were good but the next two were a waste of money. There were a bunch of mass produced ugly stainless steel rings that were probably added for weight. Won't buy these ever again.

I donated to your store in Layton, UT, twice. Each time, I got lectured by the person taking the donations about how they should be seperated as it makes their job harder to sort. They aren't nice about it either, it's more like a demand. I donated an expensive previous moments piece and saw it get tossed in a box, with no care. When I called the store to complain, a supervisor by the name of "bill" answered the phone. He immediately interrupted me, talked over me, cursed at me and refused to give me the name of the store manager and even said that his real name is not "bill". When I tried to explain the frustrations, he told me that it was good that I was lectured. I will not donated to Goodwill ever again, If this is how they tear their donors.

Worst customer service ever

Prices lately are exponential. I found an item that had an original gage of $34.99 (an older tag) but nevertheless. They had the item marked for $49.99. I am an avid collector of the item and it was not worth $49.99 especially for someone who isn't trying to spend an arm and a leg on home decor. They tried to tell me the price of the item increased and was really worth 3x the price they marked it for. According to the manager they looked it up and that's what came up. Sure pieces do but not this one particularly this isn't overly valuable. I loved the piece and splurged but feel ripped off. Goodwill was supposed to be for people who couldn't afford items to go and get items for cheaper. Very disappointed in them.

So I'm from Oklahoma and travel ALOT, I recently visited a Goidwill store in Austin Tx . And I was totally shocked at their prices and then I get to the cashier and had to purchase the bag to put my items in ! And I had to bag them myself! WTH kind of a store is this one?!

OK so a employee that works there wanted something so my friend bought for her. Not know that he was going to get banned for buying something for a goodwill employee that is so stupid he doesn't know your policy he doesn't work there how would you band a shopper that spends money everyday in your store.

Prices way to high. Pretty much only has clothes.Won't ever be going back. Wasn't impressed at all.

Cashier yelled at me and made me feel like a criminal because I didn't realize I was overstepping an employee only area. I had no idea she was talking to me because I wasn't doing anything wrong so she kept yelling at me until I finally asked are you talking to me? Please train your employees to be able to communicate with your customers. She should've told me that I was in a restricted area instead she just kept yelling at my direction. . I didn't want to stay and shop any longer.

I bought a mirror & it is too big for the area
I should be able to return it
Goodwill should allow customer to return items within few days
What am I going to do with this mirror sitting on floor because it doesn't fit

So people should stop purchasing from goodwill

Sherwood Mall London Ontario. Drop off centre cannot even be bothered to have empty containers near drive through. I asked someone and the response was we are one of the busiest in North America. Thank you is not even part of the process. Free stuff dropped off, creating jobs, etc. The organization promotes themselves as helping the community but that is not reflective n the attitude of this drop off centr. This is not the 1 st disappointing time!

Sign Not for sale do not touch items display. Junk items such as plates plastic cups use puzzle boxes are all for sale with 5.99 7.98 9.99 price tag. They are not worth $.50 good items are kept in bins, blue bins, wrapped with tape and send someone else. This is our neighborhood. Our community submitting free good items we want to see them where do they go? No books for sale the protocols is disgusting. The question is, is it the staff creating these rules always a goodwill itself

I been going to goodwill for 20 years at least 3 times a week. Just horrible now. Prices have driven me out of goodwill. Sometimes thing cost more than when they were new or more than what they sell for retail new. Junk is priced at $5.99- $12.00. For junk then they ask for your spare change. Like panhandle. These guys that run this lives in gate million dollar homes. They are so rich. Every company has to pay to train employees. So career center is a excuse to get your spare tax free change. A write off for them. Believe me it adds up to millions. I now shop at a morman ran thrift store like goodwill use to be.

There is a store in Ohio that had an employee losing her hair because of cancer treatments. The manager refused to let her wear anything on her head as she preferred. I think that is disgusting behavior for any employer. Where is your compassion? I'm done shopping at Goodwill and this story is flooding Facebook and other social media.

I came into our local goodwill in Santa Maria Ca with my receipt and the tag for the item the cashier said I could exchange it for a item of the same value but when I tried to do that the cashier called over another employee who said the thread that was holding the tag was not their! So I could not get my exchange or money I reported this to the corporate office since any othe store would honor the sale! Will never go back their!

I was in Goodwill store on Oracle and the cashier would only speak over the intercom in Spanish then all the other Hispanics in the store would all laugh and make comments about what was said. I am not bilingual and I felt very uncomfortable with the atmosphere they provided when I was in there. Another African American employee even asked a Hispanic lady if it was okay that I was in there at the front door. Ths is so ridiculous to mess I am white and whatever else I maybe. Thank you for reading this true comment about my experience in one of your global stores. Thank you. I didn't stay to make my purchases I laid the clothes I a chair and walked out.

"Goodwill customer service is ranked #679 out of the 1021 companies that have a CustomerServiceScoreboard.com rating with an overall score of 27.25 out of a possible 200 based upon 1090 ratings. This score rates Goodwill customer service and customer support as Terrible." This is what is posted about Goodwill. I now understand why. I was recently at the Goodwill on Williams Dr. in Georgetown, TX when I saw a female employee entering an office to be completely disrepected and yelled at by what I suppose was the store manager. What I heard was emplorable and not quite sure what the employee might have done to deserve such treatment is beyond my reasoning. No worker should ever be exploited in such a manner that the whole store has to hear the screaming that was being done to her. I have shopped at this store for decades and will still give Goodwill another chance by driving out of my way to another store. But I will never ever return to this store as the new management team has no respect for either their employees or their customers. Shame on you!

I've been a Goodwill Shopper all my life, so has my Sister's, Aunts & other Family & Friends alike. NEVER have I encountered such lack of respect, Tact, tolerance nor Customer appreciation as I saw on 8/27/23 from Employee: Amanda L. on Terminal ID# POS422_02 @ 7P.M. The Customer before me simply asked to be met at the Back Door with her purchase. Amanda went on repeatedly badgering the woman to respond with a 'Yes/ No' answer. When this did not happen I responded, 'Obviously, she will meet U there for her purchase, Ok?!' Amanda reprimanded me that her question wasn't answered. I proceeded to place my items to be rung up in a snappy, disengaging fashion; attitude luminating. I asked Amanda to check her attitude bc I rate Ur wages. U might be a but more considerate. She went on to bag my items as requested, however, She Never said Ty, or Come Again. Most likely, I will Not be coming back, though this is very near to my home. I spike to the Customer that was so Rudely treated; she & I agreed to not allow this manner of service to go unmentioned as it Most Unacceptable. I plan on posting more extensive if I see no remarks to correct the behavior...I give often to Charities, in fact, I own a Non-Profit. This was a Dark spot on All Srv Org's.

This is a total sup off. If I can not try things on before I buy it then I should be allowed to return the item for my money. Cash in hand just like I paid. I can't believe they are getting away with this. It is straight robbery.

I think Goodwill is pathetic. Prices are ridiculous. People donate this stuff for free. How dare you take advantage of poor people and mistreat your workers!!!! The prices are as high as the store they originally came from. These stores are a giant greed filled scam!!! Shame on you money hungry people behind this farce.

The store in Pearl, MS has turned into a joke. This woman manager is rude and abusive to her disabled people. She caters to people who buy to resale. I use to enjoy this store. It is pathetic that a store that get everything for free is greedy and a scam. Do not cater to these crooks.
