I have tried calling gamestop for a total of 50 phone calls and they didn't answer once. This is the worst phone service in life.
You can only go to the store to talk to them. Its horrible

WORST buyer experience I've EVER had. Made a purchase online, but found a better deal and IMMEDIATELY tried to cancel my order. Policy states you will NOT be charged if you cancel your order before it is processed and shipped. NOPE. The website came up with an error message EVERY time I tried to cancel my order. I tried calling (never spoke to a human, wait times of over an hour, call was disconnected every time) and emailing (sent over 10 emails - never got a response), and their customer service chat just states that "There is no one online". WHAT'S THE POINT OF PRETENDING TO HAVE A CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHEN YOU DON'T? NEVER buying from GameStop again. Just waiting for this company to go under. I'll belly laugh 'til I cry when I see all their locations close and the company go bankrupt.

I've contacted GameStop ones a week since my packages status show it was delivered. I never received my package. They told me it will take 5-7 business to investigate. I called several of times and the same responds (wait 5-7 business days) On November 15 they told me I was suppose to submit a claim with USPS. They never told me that before. Then for me to wait for another update within 5-7 business days. I submitted a photo of claim I submitted with USPS. Now I call today November 29 they said there's nothing they can do in replacing my order or refunding me.
The Worst customer services ever! Waited 2hrs on hold and never got helped!! I will never buy from GameStop again!

I purchased a game at the store in mt pleasant sc. It was an to be an online order. I received a cancellation of the order. No refund. No reason. So we purchased another one elsewhere.
I have been been going back and forth with customer service and still no refund. Their customer service is awful. I'm out my money which should have been refunded. It's only $60. You would think they would refund it. Won't go back

Went to the GameStop store in Wheaton Mall Silver Spring Maryland with my 10-year-old to find a costume ask the manager if I could test it without wearing a hoodie think it was a Spider-Man the manager was extremely rude and told us she couldn't help us and she didn't know anything about the hoodie and we couldn't take the hoodie out of the bag and told us to leave the store I was never treated so badly trying to spend money in the store that is always begging you to renew your membership

Once again went thru the trouble to place an order and the WEB site ripped me off. Ordered items during pro days and it said it was ordered. Went to check on status two days later and it was never ordered and will now cost me over 100 dollars more. Called customer service and after being on hold for over an hour was told there is nothing they can do about it. I have the order with the original prices but again no help. Last year at Christmas I tried to order stuff it was confirmed and then cancelled. Cost me almost 1000 more. So glad I have been a pro member for over 15 years. Your customer service is the worse.

I always went to gamestop for a lot of games and merchandise and did trade in this past week when I went to gamestop at the university mall in so Burlington to trade a game in I was told there was no trade in for that game I look it up and there was I never had a bad experience then I did plus the store had next to nothing for ps4 game it was really bad and never before this then told I should go to a other store

GameStop & their customer service staff are totally useless. They've cancelled my order labeling it as a "Payment Issue", and I'm using PayPal! The same account I've had for years! I repeatedly called customer service over for a week, only to have them cancel my order after 1 week. I will never purchase anything from then online ever again. I don't recommend anyone order anything from them. Get it somewhere else.

Google's doesn't allow me to provide a half-star rating.Hence, I'm forced to give them one star.

Absolutely useless Customer Service provided by GameStop & their staff. They've cancelled my order twice already and labelled it as a "Payment Issue" even though they forgot to label the product as "Sold Out" on their website and had me waiting for a week for my gaming console.

Their Customer Helpline phone number 1-800-883-8895 never picks up the phone call, so it's absolutely useless to call them and they don't respond to the emails sent anyway.

Horrible Customer Experience.
Would never recommend GameStop as a store
Would shop off Amazon or Walmart anyday.

Awful customer service, the worst of the worst. You will be put on hold when you call them up to 3 hours plus and then when you finally get through, they won't know how to fix your issue or give you any advice except try making more accounts which makes no sense. And if your card is flagged for suspicious activity they cannot un flag it so you can no longer use that payment method. Garbage to say the least.

GameStop has the absolute worst online customer service. I ordered a brand new game for full price and they sent me an open copy and when I called they assured me it was new but I said I like to have my games in the factory seal in case I like to resell them one day. I have a large collection and I don't get to everything. They sent me a message that basically said if the item isn't scratched that GameStop considers it brand new. I returned it and they sent a replacement which was the exact same thing again except the open game was in a loose plastic sleeve that they put it in themselves. Really? They sell "open box" games as "new" and there's no where on their website explaining that it's that way. I've ordered games from every major online retailer and and many sellers on eBay and I have never got a new game that came in an open box after paying for a new copy. On eBay the game must be sealed or has to be listed as open box or used. Why is that ok at GameStop? I left a negative review on GameStop's website about how they sell open games as new and a few days later my account was flagged and I'm no longer able to make purchases. It takes forever to get anyone on the phone, shipping takes at least 2 weeks on average, they've sent me the wrong items on 2 occasions and I've never had that happen anywhere else. Also, items that they have in stock on website will be really out of stock and they process orders anyway, take your money and leave the order in limbo until you call and actually get a real person to respond about how they have no idea why it happened (yeah right) and then can cancel the order that you really wanted. The only positive about GameStop is that the in store experiences are always ok and the employees are nice and helpful. But brick and mortar game stores are on their way out anyway so this problem is only going to get bigger. I tried to make my voice heard on their website and they banned me. Now all
I can do is let others know about my experience.

This PS4 Bundle I ordered, rush shipping, came with no games (2 were supposed to be included) and controller (also supposed to be included). Called, on hold for over 45 minutes, and representative had these items shipped to me, not rush shipping as I originally had, received days later and games are scratched and will not read on the PS4 and the controller had no cord so it wouldn't work/turn on. I called GameStop again the day we received the 2nd defective items and now they told me I have to go to a store to replace my items.

I made a HUGE mistake ordering Funko Pops from GameStop. What can I say, they were EXCLUSIVE to GameStop so I sort of had to! Lo & behold, EVERYONE KNOWS a Funko Pop is as good as dirt if the box is DAMAGED!! And I spent well over $300 on various Stranger Things pops & other exclusive pre orders. The first to arrive was The Godfather. It may not have been an exclusive, but it came DAMAGED. Followed by 5 other ones. I tried calling customer service...THREE DAYS LATER...so it seemed. It was actually an hour when I screenshot the time and their number before giving up. How can this company stay in business? The pops were NOT bubble wrapped or protected by anything! Oh, but the Oogie Boogie PLUSHIE was protected in air pocket bubbles!!??? Ummmm, duhhhhhh. Y'all are MORONS!!! Do NOT BUY FUNKO POPS FROM GAMESTOP!! They will likely arrive DAMAGED then NOT EVER answer their phone! POS CO is what they should call themselves.

I spent over $300 on an Oculus headset for my sons graduation. Thanks to the horrible delivery service they use CDL its been a month & I have still not received the product. They had no issue billing me & taking my money but have yet to deliver my sons gift. Dealing with any human being is a joke and their automated trash emails telling you they are fixing or solving the issue have gone nowhere. I spoke with 1 very nice you g lady who after 3 weeks processed a replacement request after the product was lost in shipment (again CDL is trash) & I am now waiting over a month for receive my product. Again, no issue what so ever taking my money but can't simply get my sons Oculus headset. Trying to get any answers from anyone is like jumping through hoops. I will never ever purchase a single thing from Gamestop! This whole experience has me so disgusted. I just wanted to give my oldest a great graduation gift and thanks to gamestop I couldn't even do that & I am still waiting. It not like I have money to throw away to order another Oculus from somewhere else as I truly feel gamestop doesn't deserve to earn a single penny after this experience. Really wish I never ordered from this company!

If you order a game to be shipped via mail, when you get make sure the cover of the game matches what's in the game holder. I made the mistake of not looking until after 30 days and now I have game I already had. I wanted Wii Sports Resort (game only) and I got Wii Sports which I already have...ugh! I normally double check, I would have definitely gone back to Gamestop to get the correct game. No need to call as again i'm way past the 30 day return policy.

My item never came I called on the 13th to advise that my item didn't come but was marked as delivered by fedex i was told at that time they would be shipping a replacement. I never received my order or a confirmation so I called back and spoke with a guy he assured me my replacement was shipped out and would be to my by Christmas but he couldn't provide me tracking because his system was down but he would email it to me. I never received the email. I called back on December 24th spoke to another guy who stated that both representatives put it in incorrect and he would correctly file the replacement they were confusing one of my separate orders with a replacement. He also issued me 5000 points. I never got the replacement still. I called again two days ago spoke with a guy who tells me he sees a replacement was issued on December 24th but there is no tracking and he has no info and I couldn't speak to a manager but they would try to give me a call back. He had a bad attitude so once we amicable disconnected I called right back. Spoke to a Christopher he issued me another 5000 points and stated that he would move me to the front of the list because my request was in but they were delayed on this issue because they were having a lot of these issues lately. I told him I wanted a refund he then sent me a email confirming then the next day I received a email saying they weren't replacing my item and to contact my financial institution or the shipping agent. I called fedex they said it was too late to file a claim it had been over a month. I called back asking for my call records to be printed and was then told I was placed on a escalation list for tier 2 and they would call me back 2 days later no call back no hello no item

I have now spoke with someone else who stated that they got my December order mixed up with my November order although I paid for both orders one was never delivered the one lady never processed a replacement and now she can't get me to tier 2 because they talk on phone they don't recognize the shipping code they will try to escalate again then they might try to do a investigation but she sees exactly where the issue is but can't help

Here we are in February they won't send my replacement they promised fedex said it's too late to do dispute however GameStop won't send the transcript of call promising me a replacement which would prove to fedex why I didn't file a dispute because I've been waiting for a replacement and yesterday the supervisor told me it's nothing he could do for me and if it's nothing else I wanted then he had to do

horrible customer service, bought a game for my brother they triedto send it to me, contacted them to change address everything was good then I never received anything else contacted them a week later they said I would get item info in 3 days contacted them on 4 day come to find out game was damaged a week prior and they couldn't tell me that when I had called asking for info, then I had to wait for a damn week to get my refund due to their screw up

On 12/24/21 I purchased "Brand New" the game Neptunia Reverse for PS5 with other games on website. The other games were perfect but the Neptunia one came with the box without he factory seal, disc dirty and the case damaged, from my viewpoint this is used or pre-owned. Anyway I went to the store to claim this, and the teller tells me that is "Brand New" eventhough the product is damaged, saying the store policy is the game was never sold, the box was opened to show on the store without the disk, they only consider a game used when comes from a third party. They refuse to give me a return and refund eventhough I show the receipt, the game and the order details. I was super fustrated that day.

I ordered Madden 22 MVP edition through Gamestop for $105 and some change. I received the order yesterday - they sent Madden 22 standard edition, which is significantly cheaper. I called customer service. After waiting on hold for 40 minutes the rep who helped me said I would have to return the incorrect game and once they received it, they would mail the correct game. I expressed my concern that I would not get the game before Christmas. I was told probably not. He then told me that I could return it to a store and said the one closest to my address had the games in stock. He was going to email me the information and I would take that to Gamestop for the switch along with my receipt. Without telling me, he put me back on hold. I wasn't sure what was happening, but continued to hold - for another 60 minutes until another rep picked up. He said rep I was speaking to on account noted that "call dropped". He said obviously it was not an apologize for the hold time. I had to explain the saga to him again. He told me that there is no way of know if my local store has the game or not. He wasn't sure why last rep told me he checked b/c that can't be done. He said he could fix the system so that another game would be sent to me without having to receive the game back from me. I really didn't trust the rep or what he was saying and said we will take our chances and go to the GS near us and exchange it. He said there is nothing for GS to send me (as prior rep said) so I wasn't sure what I was even holding for. I asked for ticket number and he said they do not use ticket numbers at GS, everythign done by phone number. He further explained that he could see my long wait time and my converation with prior rep and was going to notify a manager to call me b/c my treatment was unaccaptable. So in the meantime my husband went to local GS and low and behold, they had no games left. Surprise surprise. I called GS again today and was told by rep after holding time 45 minutes) that there is no record of my phone call last night! And she said they do use ticket numbers. I was flabbergasted that this rep would actually lie. She told me that I would have to return the game and I will not get the correct game prior to Christmas. Further I cannot keep the incorrect game and get a partial refund. I would have to return it or exchange it. No other options. So basically if I want to give my grandson the game for Christmas I have to pay over $100 and the cost of the standard game is on sale right now at GS for $29.99. I'm am truly frustrated and aggravated at how they treat customers at this place. It will be a long time before I deal with this company again.

When I entered the store I noticed two employees behind the counter. One was assisting a customer, and one sitting staring at a computer. The first employee was assisting a customer so I stood before the one with nothing in front of her. For five minutes I stood there without either employee giving any kind of greeting. After the first employee finished assisting the customer, I approached his side of the counter and stated that I needed to make a return. The first employee then asked the second employee to assist. She sighed, walked over and started working on his computer for a bit, never looking up or making eye contact. She asked for the phone number for the account, which I gave her. After another couple of minutes she again asked for the number. I gave her the number again, which she replied, "bad day?" I responded with "Actually, I was put off by her lack of customer service." I told her that I waited over five minutes in silence in front of her with no greeting or acknowledgment. She said that she was working on the schedules, to which I replied, "O.K. but that's also a part of your job. A simple greeting goes a long way, especially in todays world." After she heard this she put my items back in the box I brought in with me and said, "you need to return this online. I'm not going to help you. leave the store." not wanting to cause a scene I asked her if she was the manger, and she responded that she was. I asked her for her name, which she refused to give. I asked her if she was happy with her job? She responded with, "No, and that she is not a dog." Confused by what she meant I left without further incident. After leaving the store I actually felt pity for her, it being so close to the holidays and her being so miserable but she is setting a very bad example to the other two employees in that store on how to deal with customers. I'm a very laid back person, so the way she handled this situation there is no excuse. She is not happy at her job and she is affecting GameStops image. Is this truly the type of person representing GameStop? Here is one customer that has no plans of going back. P.S. the representative that helped me with my return online (Tavia, from Florida?) was extremely helpful and polite. A big thank you to her and Merry Christmas.

On the bus you get one free I just want to be returned the two games I didn't like out of it which was the free game in the other one why do I need to return ostriches to return two games
