Food Lion private label sandwich bread:
Last year my friends and family were thrilled when I tried food Lion white bread out of desperation because all the branded breads have changed their formula, or baking venues and their bread is coarse, yellow, not mixed well resulting in a swirl pattern on the slices. The taste is also terrible and bears no resemblance to "white bread" as we have know it for decades. When I tried Food Lion label and it was just as we remembered white bread, I told every when and soon it was flying off the shelf! It wasn't unusual for any of us to drive from store to store, even 20 miles away, to get that bread. Managers assured us because it was such a big seller "food Lion will not dare change it".
Well, I've just thrown out my fourth loaf over the last four weeks because it is awful! It has the same characteristics of all the branded products! Why have you changed it? It is an inferior product now, and as true Southerners will attest- one simply cannot make proper pimento or tomato sandwiches on such awful bread! Please please correct what's going wrong in your baking facilities!!!

Please train employees on how to bag groceries. On two different occasions cold, wet items were placed in paper bags. I always request paper and plastic. On the last trip fresh, wet, greens were placed in a paper bag. This should be covered in training.

We love to shop at FL in Fountain Inn SC. But have beenavoiding going there lately because it is SO COLD. Even the cashiers are cold. The manager says he cannot do anything about it because you control the temperature in North Carolina.

I don't understand why Foodlion does not take the covid seriously. I reported that a employee that works at the Jackson plaza has been exposed to his to covid for his partner has covid. So it seen that your employees & customers isn't important to you .Maybe this will help you in investigating this problem. This person works in your Deli.I will reveal his name if you respond to this.

I am writing to complain about an unprofessional interaction with another customer and Adam from your store located on Broad St in Statesville NC next to Kirks catering. His tone of voice was very condescending and he did not assist the customer in question

Food Lion on Main Street Summerville SC has video of a shopper in a motorized store cart knocking an elderly female to the floor on May 31st. The woman had to go to Urgent Care and was definetly in pain. Food Lion takes no responsibilty, however ,if you are injured in their store (even when it is on video). Be careful! You are on your own in their store and there are no restrictions on who can drive those cart!

I am too old to have to use self checkout. Food Lion on Dick pond Rd Socastee SC. They just put in 4 self check outs ok but now they only have 1 register open everytime I go in. It takes me 30 minutes in line because I'm not able to scan and bag all my groceries. I stop shopping Walmart because of this and now Food Lion does the same thing its a shame you choose money over your customers and employees!!

Me and my wife where confronted by store a manager named Bryan Oswald 7:00am this morning because my wife took a bite out of a 54 cent plum the plum was Paid for but yet 5 police showed up to the store looking to take us down I had almost 1000 dollars worth of food In my cart that I had to leave behind because we where being stereotyped as theifs or beggars the whole ordeal was really hard to deal with. when u hear about it on the news or tv it's one thing but when it's right in your face it really hits hard this guy does not need to be a Manger or in charge of anything

shopped with Food Lion to go for the first time today. It was a complete disaster. When I went to pick up my groceries, I had to wait about 10 minutes or longer and I was the only car there. The groceries were brought out put in my car when I arrived home all the bag says one of 626-306-4656 and 606 was missing when I called the store they were like you sure it's not in your car. You're sure you didn't get a plastic bag I really resent having my integrity challenged. I packed up the groceries and return them to the store. I am now waiting on my credit the manager Tyler was very nice and he said this was the first time someone was treated the way I was treated this is the store in Summerfield North Carolina 220 at 1:50

Rude employee. All I wanted to do was ask 1 simple question and I was told""I'm not on duty"".

I don't care if you're not on duty, you're sitting there. I didn't need them to do anything but answer yes or no to a simple question. In my job. If I told a customer that, I would have been written up.

In the last five or six years it has been an ongoing problem at the Cane Creek Shopping Center FL in Danville, VA that the meat in the deli is still being used after it has gone bad. Can't tell you how many times I have been given lunch meat that smells rotten and had to tell them I'm not taking it or had totake it back. Tonight I went to put up the groceries and got a whif of something stinking. I immediately looked for the lunch meat and started opening them. Two of the four my dad got were rotten. When I opened the second rotten one it was so bad threw up in my kitchen floor. Im used to bad smells from my line of work so I have a pretty tough stomach in most cases, but that was beyond ridiculous. You can't tell me that the person cutting it couldn't smell that when they put it in the bag. For context I live within five min of the store and it was brought immediately home so it didn't spoil after purchase.

Poor customer service by cashier. Not only was i not greeted, my change was shoved in my hand with a poor attitude no closing as well. Salesmen were professional and courteous.

The two guys restocking and chatting by the lettuce this morning (8:10) did not acknowledge or move over a little bit when I said excuse me. I'm just trying to get the cilantro as fast as I can and move out of their way. They did move and just stood there. I get it you're just doing your job and you hate when customers are in your way, I'm just trying to get my groceries in a hurry before heading to work, I'm not going to wait till you're done.

Ever Since Food Lion Took Over From Winn Dixie Their Meats And Selections Have Been Terrible. Used To Enjoy A London Broil Now Cannot Even Chew It. Just Bought Center Cut Pork Chops And Had To Throw Them Away. So Tough Even Out Steak Knives Could Not Cut Them.

Ordered food Lion to go Friday I arrived on time order wasn't even ready. It wasn't even started and I paid for it. Well after 3 employees asking me what I ordered and trying to take pictures of my order on my phone I canceled and was disappointed . Well today Sunday ( Fathers Day) I ordered food and my order isn't ready or even started same crap. The lady put me on hold. I called manager he was useless and I am still sitting out here at space 4 waiting. This is absolutely ridiculous. It's hot, I'm sick, and I need the food and can't cancel it . No concern at all for customers. It's so frustrating and I will never shop here again. Ever!!! I will post this on all social media sites. I feel like they just don't give a crap. So unprofessional and what kind of people do you employ? You may need to train them more. I find this a inconvenience as well as just being treated horribly. So sad!

Went to store # 2253 at 9:20am 6/10/2023. Walked up to the deli counter and was ignored by four people behind the counter for approximately 4 minutes; I was the only one there.
Finally, a young man that was behind the counter who was stuffing his hair into a hair net came a little closer to me. Continuing to stuff his hair into the net, he finally looked at me, not saying a word. This continued for about a full minute, finally, I decided he wasn't going to ask me what I wanted, so I let him know. This isn't a good customer service policy that you practice.

Just visited Foodlion on Webb Avenue in Burlington, NC. My daughter decided to go through the self checkout because she likes groceries a certain way. While we were scanning our items a manager stood behind, walked around side us and back around. Cashier asked her what she was doing, she responded don't worry about me. I felt like I was being treated as a thief. I am not going to lie, I was definitely embarrassed that someone would just assume that. My daughter placed her $20 cash in and I pad the remaining $200 with my debit card. Needless to say, I won't be returning to that location again. I will check it out about harassment. Not a happy camper at all!

Foodlion is consistently out of regular everyday items. No boxed instant potato flakes for the last several weeks. Haven't carried canned mackerel there for the last few years. Can't find edamame anymore. They didn't have pringles one week. They have gotten rid of their bags of flavored coffee and now it looks like they are phasing out their brands of icecream. They Jack up cheezits to $6 a box and then say it's a bogo. They are gouging pizza rolls, the price didn't go up that much at Walmart. I hate to switch to Walmart because it's noisy and far from my house but they aren't leaving me much choice. They are carrying a bunch of foreign foods and while not carrying basic American stuff. That wouldn't be so bad but this is a small rural town with a bunch of old white people. Who are they selling this stuff to?

The produce is awful and looks like it should have been thrown out the week before. This is a consistent problem and I shop there every week.

I used to shop at the Food Lion on Dawson street in Wilmington, North Carolina. The selection of food is very limited and the service subpar. The prices are outrageous. I only went there because it was close enough for me to walk to. I have spent quite a lot of money in that store. But then it got worse when they decided to add self checkout. I refuse to use self checkout. For a while, they would have at least one regular register open. But yesterday morning, I went there to buy a pack of cigarettes. I had to go to a regular register to get them. But then I was sent to self checkout to pay for them. Mind you now, there were several employees just standing around doing absolutely nothing. I told them I don't do self checkout. They did it for me but treated me like I was stupid. I told them, I know how to do self checkout, but I don't because I don't work here. I have worked as a cashier in the past. I just don't think a customer should have to do the work, while the employees do nothing and get paid. I was going to buy some groceries also, but the way I was treated, I decided not to and just left. From now on, I will go to a different store to buy my groceries. One of the most important things to me when I shop is the customer service.

Another thing I would like to add is the store is not open 24 hours. So there is no reason to stock shelves when customers are trying to shop. Many times, large boxes will block aisles. It's very annoying and inconvenient when someone has to walk around an aisle just to get what they need. There's no reason why they couldn't hire a night crew to clean and stock shelves. That's it! I'm done! I will never shop at Food Lion Again!

Much more expensive then any other grocery stores. Very limited on organic selections. Very limited on coffee selections. Most expensive Cigarettes in town! Cashiers say hello like as if they HAVE to, not as if they mean it.

My experience with Jessica Meeks in risk management has been extremely terrible.I have been trying to get her to resolve a claim for over 3 months.I spend 90 percent of my grocery budget at food lion at 902 cooksey drive thomasville.Am very tired of trying to get claim resolved will not mind at all spending 100 percent of food budget at Aldi and wall Mart . Don't like being treated as insignificant.

You service a retirement community and Gloucester at hugate. So now older people have to stand in line because you want them to do self check. Well if I got to go through all this aggravation to get groceries I'll just go do it at Walmart at least I'd save some ?
