I live in Butler N.C., and I want to comment about your bag sizes. Their too small for anything like family size meals. I get tired of holding fresh meat products because the bags are too short. These bags are the plastic bags. And yes I do use the FL bags when I'm out of town. I know others have the same problems. They need too make a larger in height size.

I was just at rev Food Lion in Sanford off of z Jefferson Davis Hwy. I shop there at least 5 days a week. After the nonsense today, I will be taking my shopping elsewhere. The 2 females working the deli counter need an attitude adjustment. I often buy deli meat there and have never been told there's a line starting point. I walked up as they were assisting a mom and child. A man walked up just as they walked away. The one girl looks at me, looks at the man and says can I help you. I spoke up and said oh I was waiting. She goes well the line forms here. I asked when was a line policy posted bc I've never heard of that before. She tells me to talk on line so I do and she starts to ask the man what he wants. I said I had been here for 5 minutes prior to the man getting there and she said he's ahead of you on line. I know it was 5 minutes bc I took a picture of a block of parmigiana cheese and sent it to my husband to ask if he wanted it so that's why I know it was 5 minutes wait time. I asked if they had a salad and they both said no as loud and as rude as possible. I asked again where the sign was for the line and they told me no. I found a manager and was speaking with him when one of the girls came out and was saying I wasn't waiting. Thankfully the manager was kind and helpful but I still will never step foot in a Food Lion again. The nasty employees should be ashamed of themselves and if that is a new rule, maybe signage needs to be posted.

At all of our Food Lion's in Roanoke Rapids,, there are only two registers open with customers waiting all the way down the aisles. This is an unacceptable daily occurrence. Better hiring and scheduling practices must be observed if you intend to have Market share.I Will no longer shop at your store and I spend $1200 a month.

We went to food lion in Henderson,NC Tuesday morning to get coffee n a few other items. Went to check out n found out the price of coffee was $15.69 instead of $7.49 which was what I thought I was getting. Yes I was wrong. I went back to the shelf then notice a small sign stating it was more. I was livid. So we went out to get in the truck. I decided I wanted a refund. My husband went inside bc I was livid n didn't want to cause trouble. Signs need to be a lot more VISIBLE for customers. Yes he got a refund, no sorry or anything was said to him. I'm still appalled. I can go to other retail stores n get coffee for less. Plus this was store brand. Which is should have been even less.

The food loin in wingate Nc.it's been 11 weeks and they still don't have frozen cauliflower in stock.I've told the manager and the stock boy.and I buy squash and it just lasts 2 days.third day you have to throw it away.then when you have a sale they don't have any of it.you need to replace them.

In Morehead city nc Foodlion-had already bought 5 bags of Crablegs that were on sale for a family gathering that night-went to register and paid for my Crablegs and was headed out the door pushing my cart when I was stopped by an associate saying there was a 3 bag limit on the Crablegs and I needed to return two bags-she proceeded to reach in my cart and took two bags out-I said at least let me choose the bags I wanted-I did not see any limits on the sign nor on the website-mind you all this was done infront of customers-mind you this was about 5:00pm and I could count the bags on my fingers that were left-she said we need to have some for other customers-I will not shop there again!

Hey live in Calhoun ga off 315 exit I-75 red bud rd.I shop a lot at the food loin there I'm also an over the road driver it's a shame shame that a Hugh company like food loin buys property next to them there with nothing on it and won't even open it up to truck park but guarantee u they would take a drivers money in a min and they expect a driver to be there on time with there product wish we could have a trucker strike see how these big corporations would do then when they lose millions a day

The self checkout is great but you have to hit "Pay now" button in addition to just putting your card into the machine for the system to process your purchase. all other stores that I shop if the card is just inserted into the machine it will process to purchase and you do not have to hit "Pay. also the is what looks like a discharge area for a receipt to come out of right by the card machine. no receipt came out. when I asked about the receipt the store associate (with attitude) pointed down towards the front of the machine and sure enough the receipt came out on the front of the machine between my legs. wow. there is part of the machine next to the card reader that looks like the receipt would come out of it but instead the receipt comes out down on the front of the machine between your legs and you have to get store associate attitude along with it.

Tonight, 12-31-23 at 9:30pm, I went to the food lion in prince george to pick up a few items. I found 2 bottles of prosecco in the refrigerated section marked $9.99, and I put them in my cart. I went to the shelf and took another bottle. I saw the label on the shelf marked $14.99. When I was finished shopping, I went to the self checkout register and immediately asked the white cashier for a manager. I told her why, and she pointed to a black woman saying she was the manager. She told the black woman what I found, and the black woman made me take her to the wine section to explain and show her what I found. While we were walking away the white girl said "people put stuff in the wrong places." After I showed and explained to the black woman what I found, she parroted what the white girl said. I told her to honor the price that I found and the black woman refused. I took her name, shirley. I called the store to ask for the white girls name, and the woman on the phone asked "why," and I told her "I'm going to complain about her." After a long pause, the woman on the phone said Claire. I hung up. When I find items marked a certain price, that price needs to be honored and your workers failed. I expect you will remedy this issue.

My wife and I live in Belmont NC near the pebble creek store. We have been shopping there for years we are both elderly so mobility is an issue for us. Our problem is that the pebble creek store is becoming very difficult to get into I normally drop my wife off at the door and then park the car but they are allowing so many cars to park by the doors next to the building that it's difficult to even drop her off at the door and then when you come out of the store there are panhandlers or alcoholics standing or sitting next to the door. Your help with this matter would be appreciated or we may have to find another store to shop at.

I wouldn't put my time in Food lion on Florida Ave. I was hired on Nov 20,2023. I gave Ramona my schedule that I could work because I am currently in a rehab in Lynchburg. She hired me on the spot then still scheduled me a time I couldn't work because I have IOP programs. I called and reminded her of my schedule. Well she won't talk to me now, she had someone else answer the phone every time I called her so I could go to work but she will not talk to me at all,her relayed message to me was she will call me back if she can use me, but she never called me back, she is definitely not qualified for her customer service manager position, especially when she lies to people. She even gave me a F.L. Shirt during my interview. She works at the food lion on Florida Ave. She is definitely not qualified to be a customer service manager. She lies, she not woman enough to tell you anything, she gets someone else to do it for her.

Hello ,I am. Complaining about the store in Lynchburg,about you manager store ,he is very rude to his associates,curses alot , and treat other differently along with one of his associates,his produce manager is rude to the customers and towards his team , they both need to be out of there ,and it is against the law that a store manager without your consent to decrease a a pay if change to a different department ,when associates already sign off to another hourly pay ,only it corporate sign off that there will be a cutt pay for over time or city pay for every single employees,the matter is the store manager in two different departments,manager is very rude and unprofessional, please take care of this matter ,I hear and know how these two idiots are ,if the matter don't be taken care off I will definitely take it upon my hands and I take further .

After going into to Food Loin in Harrisburg on Harris Houston Road. I notice the Chitterling by Smithfield was priced $39.99 a 10 pound bucket. This same bucket last year was $11.99 for a 10 pound bucket. I feel this is targeting a certain group of individuals that enjoy this meat at this time of year. Turkeys was not marked this high and besides that point, Walmart had the same bucket for $13.94. This is price gouging and they are targeting a certain group of people.

I have a FL account but don't know the number. Whether I sign in or sign up I simply can't order online, can't get into my online shopping account. I get the stupidest messages: tried forgot password & I get message that I'll get an email. NO I DON'T get an email. Tried setting up new account & I get message this email is being used & has an account. WTH? I don't know why I even bother anymore. Actually during this whole freaking mess I remembered that this has been going on for several years so I simply stayed away from their online shopping site. Hear this Food Lion: We're a family of 5 and have 4 pets so we spend at least $600 month on groceries but we'll continue to shop Harris Teeter or WalMart. Too bad...tried to call customer service but you don't think it's important to have someone answer the phone to help with issues on weekends?

I have shopped foodlion for 20 years or more. Always satisfied with their quality. But recently its poorer than poor. I am a vegetarian so the produce is my main thing. This has become the worse quality in produce I have ever seen. It looks as though it literally fell off a truck. I have complained through multiple channels and nothing ever gets better. For this reason I have taken my 300. To 400. A week to another grocer where quality leaves me happy. Hopefully one day foodlion will bring back the quality for their customers and I can trust in them

My commitment is about driver yesterday. I was in the left lane. He came over off the right lane unto my left lane. I blow at him two or three times to let him know he about to hit me. But he look in his mirror and did not stop coming over. I had to slow down to keeping the back of the trailer for hit me. Trailer number (20404223) tag number (AJ-99597)

Okay so I am a employee at food lion on cooksey st In Thomasville nc and the manager ericka smith is not a good manger or person in general she treats people vary hatful like and try's to embarrass the front end employees about what they are going wrong (loudly tells them informs of customers) this needs to be handle and also I have been promised 40 hours and I'm lucky if I get 3 days of work a week this needs to be HANDLED

I have shopped at the 4392 Sté 118 Holland Rd Food Lion for over 20 years. Recently, a decision has been made to allow customers entrance through both doors but exit only through one. If one parks near the entrance only door, it means crossing the entire parking lot to get back to the car. I've seen mothers trying to manage a grocery cart and their children through traffic. It's also difficult for senior citizens or the handicapped. I believe it's an attempt to discourage shop lifters, but other stores are not using this approach. I doubt an entrance only sign will deter a thief and it certainly isn't worth aggravating legitimate customers like myself. Thank you.

The store In North Carolina on sunset in Monroe, NC
The produce is absolutely ridiculous. Every time I go in there the produce looks absolutely gross especially the lettuce and the vegetables. I've gotten I had a lettuce it went bad and turned yellow and mushy in one day. Then last week I got a cabbage within 2 days the middle of it was rotten and it smelled like feces and the stuff that came out of it was brown slime so I would think that you guys would want to know this about the products in your store because I'm not going to shop there no more. I've even seen hamburger meet, hotdogs, lunch meet out of date and still on the shelves.

I go to the Food Lion in Roseboro NC and there's a cashier or supervisor named Tiffany who is very customer friendly. She goes above and beyond for the elderly customers and always greets us with a Grand risings thank you for choosing food lion how are you today. The new team there is very great the management team not so great. The morning cashiers are fantastic out of the 20 years i Have lived in this area.

I shop at the Food Lion in Jacksonville NC, at 104 Branchwood Shopping Center. I recently had foot surgery and have been using the pickup orders. Gary R. Is a bagger there, he has been so kind helping with my pickup orders and when I was able to use the motorized cart, he took my groceries out of the cart, walked beside me to my car and then took the cart back to the store for me. I look forward to seeing him every time I shop at the store. He is an excellent employer and always has a smile and a kind word. Thank you Gary you make my shopping pleasant.

I live in Roanoke Virginia I shop at Food Lion on 629 Peters Creek RD NW The lady who's number is 0231is always polite always helpful and has a very good attitude a people person I've seen customer that are not nice at times but she always has a smile..They need boxes in stores to let people give compliments on people who work there...Always love seeing her...A star for Candice...

I like Food Lion but one thing I think is wrong. Your stores don't have the device to help pull in the carts at the stores. I live in the south and I am telling you your employees deserve better. It is hard enough to push 30 carts at once but in the weather in any state it is just wrong. Kroger's has one, Walmart has one, Publix's has one IGA has one. Do you not care for your employees at all. Garners Ferry and Devine Food lions deserve better. Why don't you go out and get 20 ir 30 carts at a time see how you like it.

I have begun going to Food Lion on Battlefield Road, RaLeigh, NC. The staff are consistently helpful, polite, and the store is so clean and well maintained. I have even dropped in on the manager and said Thank You to him and his staff via him. I have stopped going to Lowe's and Food Lion in Clayton NC due to their unclean, unkept stores and their check out stations are out at Lowe's half the time .

I love the staff at my local Food Lion. Reading the other reviews, I realize I'm lucky or blest or both to have professional, friendly cashier's and managers. I am starting to notice some disappearing FL items that I rely upon buying to save money. Coffee creamer and ice cream at this time. I don't know who to complain to because I know it's not my local Newton NC store's fault.

I would like to send positive feedback concerning the Food Lion Store in Centreville, MD. I shop there weekly and the store is very clean and organized. The staff at this location are very helpful and friendly. The Store Manager seems to be doing a wonderful job overall with staffing and stocking of the store.

Deli staff customer service is terrible. I stood for 10 minutes while the manager and a couple of deli staff had a discussion. The manager saw I was there as he left and returned during this time while I stand there. Another deli staff had direct view of me and never did call anyone to help. Then after I stand there that long when she does come she ask if I could do my other shopping while she prepares that and proceeds back to her meeting with fellow employees. Overall store staff struggle with interaction with a customer. I rarely have anyone to acknowledge me with a hello even with eye contact. I probably should initiate I know and I don't know why this bothers me so bad. It's not just an isolated incident. I notice this on a regular basis when I visit this store. I would love to discuss this with a higher up. Check out has never been an issue. Jerry Norris and Norman Hicks should be pointed out as friendly staff. This is the Highway 421 south store location in Boone.

Food lion on Bennington street Roanoke has really been trying to please. The store is clean and stocked well. The employees go out of their way to be helpful, friendly and respectful. A big discount on turkey aloud me to get a 14 and a half pound bird for $5.65 .... Wow 39 cents a pound. We shop at this store often and are never disappointed. Thank you food lion!!

I was waiting 5 minutes for this woman to turn around to cut me some roast beef, and this man in deli walked up and went straight to cutting for me. he doesn't hand you your meat over the counter he walks around and hands it to you without having to reach. Up close tho man looks goth or like he never sleeps.

I just love the food lion in woodruff SC. Everything is always fresh, nicely stacked on shelves, great customer service , quality food and so much more.

We purchased the food lion chicken with dumplings family size frozen meal. It was good but do NOT expect to feed a family with this so called family size. Tonight it was only me, my husband and our 8 year old and we had to get something else to eat. There is maybe enough for 2 people if you want no 2nds.
I really think yall should rethink the family size.

I was at Food Lion on Raeford Rd after the Lowes. The only thing I couldn't find was a Spanish frozen section. That being said, I had the most amazing customer service at the register. Her name was Carol. She was so polite and knowledgeable about her job. It was so nice being greeted with a smile.

Best shopping experience I have had so far. Besides using the MVP card, the savings are great. Store is clean and employees are very helpful. No waiting in checkout and variety of items is plentiful. I will never shop at that other store again (Walmart). Being on a fixed income, I have to look for the best prices all the time.

I was in foodlion 17th st.in wilmington n.c.on tues 2-1-22 around 12:30. There were 2 registers open and line were backed up down the isles. The front end mgr opened up another register and called up the scan person, and a co mgr to open up as well. They got those lines down within minutes. What a great job!! You should appreciate them, I do.

Cashier #0205 at store# 00566 Greensboro NC. was very helpful. She didn't know me, but she helped me select healthy food. I had just left my doctor, I have hypertension & must eat as healthy as possible. The cashier had no idea about my medical condition, I guess I looked a little weak ,anyway thank you. Dee customer.

I usually shop the Richfield store and although the staff are super friendly, its the hottest store I have ever been in especially during the summer. I honestly don't know how they work in the heat. My hair was wet by the time I left with my groceries. I also was very disappointed that they are no longer stocking my coffee creamer - International Delight Southern Pecan. Guess I will have to start going to Walmart although I will still buy my meat at Food Lion.

I shop at Food Lion 2-3 times per week in Roebuck,SC.I am responsible during this pandemic and wear my mask but I have noticed that 75% of their employees don't wear them right.They don't cover their nose and mouth and it makes me wonder why.I don't want to switch stores but I will.I spend a lot of money at this store so please make your employees do the right thing.

Horrible place to work for, unless you are a snitch... Dept mangers throw people under the bus when they screw up. So unless you'll play the drama part and not take up for yourself you will get screwed with hours and lied on if the dept manger wants to cover his or her ass to keep their job. Most can't even pass a drug test to save their life. And will sleep with who ever to keep them quiet. If you don't conform and say I'm gonna report you'll lose hours big time. I used to love working for food lion now it's just a drama fest worst then a high school drama club on stage

The Virginia governor has declared a state of emergency however food lion is making its employee s work till 6 to close
