Family Dollar Customer Service Complaints - page 3

Churchville Virginia. This store has been extremely unreliable in terms of staying open during their posted business hours. Without exception, there are caution signs in the store for leaking refrigerator coolers, for two full years straight. This is in a fairly rural area, and the only store for several miles in any direction; people count on it being open. The staff is courteous and friendly, but clearly corporate management has considered this store a low priority for some time. It is disappointing that the neighboring store that just opened in Monterey Virginia gets stocked with goods regularly, while this store's shelves go empty. Word on the street is that a dollar general is opening up in town, and the corporate office just stopped caring about the store. What a disappointment of a company.

Unfortunately if the doors were open and the employees were running the family dollar on Johnsisland South Carolina family dollar would be making some business but unfortunately the doors are closed and for the most part the doors are closed I hope that this situation can be resolved sooner than later thank you

Store 8870 in Hallstead PA is the most disgusting and dirty DG I have ever walked into.the staff are standing outside smoking while people are waiting by the register, they have music blaring throughout the store AND one of the employees had their dog inside the store (not a small dog either) food in the freezer section is still in the boxes from the delivery company and nothing is in the correct spots or priced right, time to start shopping elsewhere......downright disgusting and the staff is rude as well and NOT helpful at all

I entered the Dollar general store 11361 and an employee was yelling on the top of her lungs using the f word being aggressive and threatening some of the customers and I'm the one that she threatened and everybody scared up there and this is happening right now it's store 11361 and I can't even go back there to finish Christmas shopping because I feel threatened and the girls that cashiers don't know what to do they're scared so literally you need to call the cops or something and have her removed

I haemve had the worst experience shopping at Family Dollar in Southern Dallas County. The non profit I work for is hosting their 6th annual toy drive for children with an incarcerated parent and because the store manager and her manager didn't know how to properly input the tax exempt form on their system. They told me maybe I can go shop at another location.

They didn't call district manager or anyone to figure out how to do something they had never done! 2 hours shopping in their store and then told to go elsewhere- really!

I went to the family dollar and picked up 2 items that were outside on a rack that said 60% off. When I got to the check out, they rang in more than what the price tag said. The checker asked another worker about it and he came over and said the tags were wrong and proceeded to take the price tags off. I told him he legally can't do that, that he had to give it to me for the price marked. I tried to explain to him that all the other cloths were marked the same but he didnt care. He said, and I quote " Yes I can, and if you don't like our prices, go shop somewhere else." Then to top things off I never got my 5.00 discount for spending 25.00. And I spent 60.00! So i also got cheated out of 10.00! I have been a loyal customer for years and have never been treated so rude. I am not sure I want to continue to shop there.

Frequent visitor of the Kingsville, TX store and tonight I had the worst experience. I purchased $55 worth and 2 items did not scan their coupon so I immediately went back into the store to return the two items and Melody the manager said she wasn't going to do that because reports run at 8pm and she could not, WOULD not do a return as store policy is NO RETURNS AFTER 8pm... I had just purchased 30 minutes prior. I've never seen or heard of that but she was rude and ugly-and according to her employee she stated "knowing Melody she wasn't going to accommodate". And Melody certainly did not. People like Melody have no business in retail...all it takes is one bitter manager to make the entire store look bad. Sadly, because some of the others there are great people!

Family Dollar on 17/92 $ 434 will not sell fly swatter for the price on the item. I was told that everything has go up so I have to pay $1.25 instead of $1. Wow fly swatter. $1.......bad customer service and i feel that if the price increase, they should change the prices...

Walkertown, NC. It has no manager, being ran by 2 Asst. Managers and one in training. They fired the best acting manager because she was sick and said she was disrespectful. Well when I am sick I get cranky too. Taylor was the best. The store is not fully stocked and they can't keep help because they won't pay anything. There is one asst. that is stealing but trying to cover by having receipts on some things. That store really needs someone from. corporate to check in on them .

Store #11990 is having trouble keeping store open for scheduled times. Store has been closed three time this week at times they should be open. On 11/9/2023 the store closed at 4:35 pm right at the busiest time of the evening. There normal closing should have been 8:00 pm. Please hire adequate qualified staff to run this store location or change store hours.

I was in the store on 8500 Highway 85 in Jonesboro Georgia Tuesday night and the store was cleaner than previous visits. I wasn't greeted with a hello but proceeded to shop! I regret coming to that location! Five minutes into my visit, one of the clerks named Gloria, was complaining about displaced stock. She then said loudly one of the most horrible things you could ever say as a Customer Service Representative, "I wish f@#$!:g customers would put s$@# back where it's supposed to go". Her teammates and the manager chuckled, but the manager said her name once, as if she implied "really?!". That's it?! I took what items I had, knowing I needed more, to check out, knowing I couldn't be in the store any longer. Gloria had a pissed ? off attitude as she went to the register and cashed some ppl out. She had gum in her mouth and a whatever spirit as she cashed them out! I see why I haven't been in several months when one time some teenagers recklessly let a dog loose with no leash as they were there to possibly see an employee. This Family Dollar is within walking distance to my house. I keep getting let down. I should want to have a great customer service experience.

Please shut the family dollar down I brought an outfit from then got home couldn't wear it so I return it back for another size. The supervisor was very rude her another employee no greeting no nothing I walked to the back with my receipt they yelled back as if I was comming to steal. Which I've been working since I've been 15 years old never took anything from anyone. But I return back to the counter with no attitude waited for them to count there draw then the supervisor said all you wanted was to change the size I said yes ma'am I didn't come in here to steal or return just get a different size, so then she let me go to the back went to the back, got the right size and came back to the counter still wasn't nice at all then made a smart remark oh you went to go get a small I said no I didn't get a small I brought a medium and had to get a large because the medium was small I told her I work so I didn't have time to come back and change it so the guy who work there laugh at me and the lady laugh as well. But to think I was going to leave my job and come and work for her just cause it was closer to my house I think not imagine how I could have been treated everybody does come to steal people do have jobs honest people but I will never go back!!!! I don't care if I gotta drive across town in summerville I will not be back

The manager at the store in Belington WV is the rudest person I have ever came in contact w I have been going to that same store for 3 yrs I have return 1 item and when I went to return a product that didn't I was belittled and talked to so disrespectfully. She just a childish young girl who was giving authority cause she was at the rt place at the rt time. She even brings her son to work and even though he's not a baby it makes a horrible shopping experience as she's always screaming at him and he's always crying cause she's screaming at him. She should be head of the local gossip column cause she believes everyone else's business is part of her job title as she sits at the computer gossiping but never tells her own business

There is no accountability in the Seminole store in Largo Florida. They can call a child a thief and provide no proof to the parent. When the parent asks for proof via cameras through out the store I was told no time for that. But he is banned from said store and branded a thief. Manager stated she watched the tape and heard the other boy tell conner not to but in the state of Florida it is against the law to audio record anyone without their knowing so who's the lier? My son is 12 and has autism. He did not steal he put his phone back in his pocket. I even tried to speak to the area manager and she didn't call. This manager is mean and hateful to more than half the people that do business there. We have no choice inly place in town for people without a car. If they did have audio she would not have a job the way she talks to people

The family dollar in converse Texas needs a customer service class I have gone in there and seen vendors being disrespected and customers have been turned away because they have the wrong purse it was not allowed in the store because it was made like a back pack now I understand some people have gone in and maybe stolen stuff but I'm not going to empty my bag just to go in there to shop. Too many other stores I could go in with my purse regardless of the style. Is this a store policy or just the management policy at the store? Is it really worth turning away customers because they don't have the right purse to carry your wallet just asking. I choose to shop some where else where I feel comfortable going in the store where I don't have to worry about being turned away because of the style of my purse. I rate that store a 3

Store 09364-5802 Culebra Rd San Antonio Texas..
They have their SPRITE SODAS on their refrigerated shelves marked $2.00- however when u pay it charges the customer $2.15 and store manager (PEARL) said it's the VENDORS PRICE .. ????..
Whatever that is??.. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT TO THE CUSTOMER!!! What else do they have priced this way in the store? CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS???

The store located in Memphis store #08814 is always out of stock. this store always smells like weed and nothing is ever on the sleves the people that running the store always say they waiting on the truck but nothing is never in stock.The young lady that was working the cash register was clearly high off drugs.This issue has been going on for some time now,I love around the corner and I have to go out side my area to get simple items that should be at dollar store.

Your store in Macon Ga. 3656 Jeffersonville Rd. Is about to have one hell of a lawsuit going on if I don't talk to someone today about your employees and your return policy

The store in DeGraff Ohio is filthy!!!! There are always numerous employees outside smoking instead of inside. Customer service is horrible!!! No one asks if you need help, they are on their phones at the registers all the time, they constantly are talking bad about someone in front of customers and even to customers. You can't get down the aisles because there are products left on the floor in boxes, even in the food area! How is someone who is handicapped supposed to shop there? I have been in numerous Family Dollars during my travels and this one is by far the worst one I have been to. Even the big city Family Dollar stores are not this bad!

I have stopped doing business at the Degraff Ohio store. Hard to find someone at the register. When they are there, they are usually on their phone or trash talking about someone amongst themselves or to a customer. Very unprofessional and rude. Difficult to go down an aisle cause they are blocked with carts filled with boxes.

Went to the store today.400 Virginia st buffalo NY 14201.you lost control over your store.the employee,s were barking like dogs on the loud speaker running around with carts like they were cars.3 months ago my husband was yelling for a store rep.it was empty they were out smoking pot outside left the money and the keys to everything on the register.prices are always wrong.its a dump

I was just in the burley store and its disgusting, you stick to the floors stuff is everywhere, not organized..and the people behind the counter are rude and give u dirty looks... garbage hehind the counter staked up...the employees have their kids with them while working and great big dogs all day well there only open from 11am to 8pm so not all day... I used to work there and it's was clean, organized and even if we were having a bad day we never treated the customer's rude... we mopped every night did recovery and took out the garbage every night... they don't even know how to run the tills or do a return... I won't be going back in that store again, it is so filthy in there and bad customer service....

My daughter works at the store on Scalp rd. Johnstown, PA. She has had an issue with a new hire there and when she was going to go to the manager she was informed that the manager was this girl's mom and nothing would be done about it. She's now afraid she will loose her job if she takes it further. How is that fair towards the other employees? When asked how she was hired with her mom being a manager her response was, "Different last names". They know they fooled the system and just don't care. I will not stand by while my child is being treated like this. Fix your store.

I did shop at a local store Braidwood Illinois since it opened and I tried to return 2 things without receipt and asked for store credit mind you I have been spending 25-50 weekly and older lady said she couldn't take back because of cost - in short of saying I stole this - and also another time not taking coupons off or refunded me the coupon with receipt that time - so I will drive to another location to use your store but I really feel they know me since I've been shopping there since it opened but never again after that.

Employees have no manners at all. Terrible interaction with customers.
