Was at a store in Martinsville Indiana in mid July me and four other customers in the store heard a manager yelling and berating a fellow employee in front of everyone not professional commented to another manager no reply these managers need training or fired I'll never be back

Auto zone does not care about their employees. There are no chairs in their store for an employee to sit for a few minutes. They expect workers to stand on their feet on concert floors the entire time that are working. They only care about their customers and the profits they realize. There are rugs that are easy to trip over. They do not provide the proper protection for installing batteries and other parts. There are not any covered areas outside for workers to be protected from the sun while they install parts. OSHA should be called to protect employees from harm.

On 30 July at approximately 2pm I, as an electric unicycle, writer walked into the store with my helmet or unicycle, and my backpack. I was immediately screamed at in unison by all of your employees about my backpack, and how I had to leave it at the front counter. all of what I have valuable was in the backpack, of course because I'm writing an electric unicycle, I asked the employee why is it necessary for me to leave my backpack is it because I am black and you think that I'm gonna steal some thing to which the employee responded? It is store policy I pause for a moment to think this employer was telling me that it is store policy for Black people to leave their backpacks , which is extremely problematic I left the backpack and I went to grab the two items that I needed. I actually needed more than two. I just could not remember at the time the rest of the items due to the initial horrible first encounter. All of this should be verifiable from video cameras, which I hope you have. I proceeded to look for the items that I could remember the entire time an employee stood at the beginning of each aisle and watched me making me feel like a criminal or a thief, I could only help but wonder if this is the way that I am going to be treated should I perform with expectation? Should I steal something so that they can feel better about their treatment of me and I can feel better about their treatment to me I did not steal anything nor they had that idea come to mind I only needed fuses and relay switches in line for check it out another confusing thing that happened. I was standing at the wrong end of the checkout line as another customer also got in line behind me, which we were told to switch places I did not want to think why (only negative thoughts would have come to mind) I just wanted to leave at this point, we switch places, and then I was screamed at by another employee standing by the door to use the self check out , if I had not wanted to leave this place faster then I wanted to leave at that moment there, but I need the items that I had in my hand. I went over to self check out a very confusing process and then I left immediately I question myself of should I ever go back to the store and if I do what reasons would I have to want to be treated this way by your employees. As an Air Force veteran I have a minimum expectation of civility, to give it and to receive it as a black male, I expect the worst because that has been what has been demonstrated to me consistently. As a consumer what should be my expectation?

I was a customer at autozone in Austin texas William canyon # 5880.. I witnessed an employee was being very rude to every Hispanic customer... and manager was allowing it . I have a video of it and am going to make it viral . Sad, part of this is the employee was Hispanic himself ! Was mad because Spanish speaking customers were speaking to him in Spanish.

Verbal quote by salesman for Oil filter included with 5qts.
At register credited me $6.99 on $9.99 STP for the included filter.
Paying extra for a filter included is fraud
.
This wasn't isolated at one store. I called two others( Sierra location in Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga same pitch up front. Both attempt to charge me $3 more.
Class action lawsuit, everybody whom bought oil is affected.

I asked for Simonize Ceramic Sealant and was told "all of our waxes are in that isle, if it's not there we don't have it". This from a man standing in front of computer, did bother to investigate whether they would EVER have it again or not. Very, VERY POOR customer service, apparently they think because they all wear black pants and red shirts they can RUDE to us no nothing customers. When they go the way of Bed,Bath & Beyond, will anyone really be surprised??????

The store manager of the AutoZone on Pearl road in Parma heights Ohio should definitely not have that position. Treated me rude called me names and argued with me over money and parts. I myself own a business and if my secretary talk to my customers the way he talked and treated me she would no longer have a position at my company. You have to remember Paul you are representation of AutoZone not a representation of your bad attitude. So just remember if you go to AutoZone on Pearl road in Parma heights Ohio to get parts for your vehicle just remember don't ask Paul to look up your parts or ask for a price because he'll give you that little man attitude like he gave me. Arguing with me calling me names definitely unprofessional and should definitely not have that position dealing with the public. Learn some manners Paul treat customers with hospitality and respect because you represent AutoZone. Because of some of the people I really care about there and like and enjoy working with I will continue to buy parts at this location but one more encounter with little man Paul and I will never step foot back in that store again, I only spend $2,000 or $3,000 a month there I don't spend $30,000 a month there like Paul would like. In order to get respect you have to spend at least $30,000 a month at this location for little man Paul to treat you with respect. I find that offensive and I'll leave it at that. Talking to this man I have to believe I am definitely definitely not the only person that has ever had a problem with little man Paul. And I'll just leave it at that go browns !!!

Battery died and I had no idea what to do. Enrique at the Escondido, Ca store was so sweet and helpful. He helped me after the other employees were so rude and walked away from me. They wouldn't help me due to the fact they car battery died next door to Autozone. No reason for such rudeness. Enrique went far and beyond to help me. He should be recognized for his kindness and knowledge. Thank you Enrique

Customer service sucks at AutoZone 4277
I am an old woman buying a wiper for my car. I have no idea what to buy with the many selections I saw in the isle I was referred to. I was not assisted despite my initial request for help. I went back to the guy, he asked for the make and model to which I gave but quite unsure. He asked for my car registration and the vin numbers. I had difficulties going back and forth to my car. And finally, I went back to the isle and searched from the book hanging on the shelf and went back to the guy, but he insist for the car registration.
I needed to show him the page of the book for the CHR 2019-20 model where there's only ONE item to choose from. How hard was that to locate in the computer that he several times was tinkering pretending to search FOR NOTHING?
So arrogant cashier you got there!!!

Sold me the completely wrong battery and I go to inspection just to be told it needs to be replaced. Guess what? Its two weeks over warranty! These jerks waste my extremely limited funds and dont even offer a small discount for my trouble. Now I get to choose between having a car to get to work or a roof over my head. Thanks for absolutely nothing

The people on here saying others complaining about a refund must've done something wrong are incorrect. AutoZone takes FOREVER to refund money to a debit card. I am waiting on about $400 to be refunded to my debit card. I returned the items with a receipt a few days after I got them because I didn't need them for the repairs on my car. I did everything right. I'm surprised to find that I could've asked for cash back. No one ever mentioned that which is shameful. I know now for future purchases. There is no reason why refunds should take so long. Most retailers and even Amazon put refunds back on your card the same day.

This is an absolute crazy company. First of all they are scammers and their testers are broken. So if you go there for a battery test, they're going to tell you that your alternator is broken so that you spend more money. And then your car will possibly break down because all it needed was the battery. They do not care about their customers. Corporate GREED at its finest. The regional office is horrible. The district manager is careless and rude. The store manager is aloof. I can't believe this company cares so little about their customers.

Had a Service Engine light AND a ABS light turn on as soon as i turn on the ignition switch. AutoZone used their code scanner and told me that ignition was the problem and tried to sell me complete ignition tune up (Plugs, wires, cap Etc) saying there was nothing shown for ABS problem.
I found problem to be open circuit in rear wheel hub ABS sensor.

At the autozone in Kent off of 240th and 104th I seen an autozone employee doing drugs in his car and the only reason I know he was an employee is because after I witnessed him doing the drugs he came in the store so I able to see his name tag and his name was Ricky. I asked another employee about him and found out he is even a Manager and only been there a month can u believe that. I don't know if they are aware this guy is high at work. You need to be aware of what your employee are doing...what kind of business are u running there.. I took my business elsewhere like across the street to o Reilly after I saw that.

i have been an autozone customer for many years. yesterday I went to start my 1995 mustang which had a year old duralast gold battery ,which i purchased a year ago fromn the hudson florida store in March of 2022. car wouldn't start. put a charger on it for 2 hours still dead. i take the battery out, bring it back to the store where i bought it. testing confirmed that the battery was bad. store doesn't have one in stock. counter man says they can have one by 2 230 i call. not there by 430. i go in with my battery (dead) and the manager tells me basically im on my own with this one and starts peeling all the stickers off it. basically what thats telling me is even though i purchased a top of the line battery in good faith from autozone with a 5 year prorated warentee on the whim of this guy its wont honored if i have a problem. is that correct? every vehicle i own 3 harleys a silverado a cruze and a mustang all have duralast gold batteries. i literally spend thousands of dollars in your stores so based on this one guys behavior you're about ready to lose a long term customer. i can just as easily take my business to another parts supplier if thats the case. i dont know who this guybthinks he is but be aware i wont be treated like that. ever again. in fact im probably not going to use that store anymore in the future.

Bought a cam shaft sensor....it is bad...going to cost me an additional $250 to take the bad one out and replace it. I have shopped with Auto zone for many years but this will be the last time.

The AutoZone location on Barton Street in Pawtucket Rhode Island needs severe management restructuring and competent help in the commercial department.

1. Phone response and wait time 5 plus minutes

2. No drivers for delivery

3. People when the phone is answered the knowledge is poor at best

This location is loosing on average $3K a week to O'Riley Auto parts and Action Auto Parts due to this location awful service

AutoZone
Do not buy a battery from AutoZone. I stopped at the Autozone on Rice Street twice in the last couple weeks to have my battery checked. I was told the battery was fine. I made an appointment to get the alternator replaced, was told my battery was bad and was charged $250. Went back to Autozone, warranty replaced my battery and my car is running perfectly now. Starts everytime.
Called the regional manager and he is still sticking with I must have a bad alternator...lol

A couple years ago, I bought a battery from their Oak Park Heights store and the battery put in my car, was not the battery I paid for- they did make that right, but after these 2 bad experiences, I would not recommend them!

I've returned 3 items in 3 deference days and get no refund back to my debit account and I've been more than 13 days I went back to the store an associate assure me Auto zone would make all refund with in 5 business days! What a lie! If you ever returned something to Auto Zone, make sure to keep all the receipts, but most important is the return receipt, you just never know the employee who process your return items may actually took it and never restocking it therefore the items your brought back to the store never make it to their system and so they never credit a refund back to your debit card. I know this by an old friend who used to work for AutoZone, bunch of thefs! I'd get Auto parts somewhere else, never Auto Zone! - Michael -

Bought my alternator online, because there where none in stocks locally closets to me was 180 miles away. So seen that if I bought it it would be in my possession by next day! Well hear is the reality on my tracking it says it will be delivered on Feb 24 and I placed the order on Feb 23. It doesn't not say estimate Feb 24 it says it will be delivered. Called the customer service just to get a rude rep, that acted like he new everything about what I was shown. Asked for refund but you guessed it this product isn't eligible for cancelation. We'll I can tell you this I will take my business somewhere else next time...

Autozone will not get another penny from me. I ordered a window lift motor online for my car. I received an email stating that there was a delay in the order, which honestly didn't surprise me in todays economy. However, the day I got the email I also got a delivery. The part delivered was a window regulator, which was not what I purchased. The next day I reveived another email stating that there was a delay in the shipping of my part. So I figured they shipped the wrong part and I would settle up once my motor was delivered. Then, after a few days I emailed customer service to let them know I was sent the wrong part and find out the status on the lift motor. In response, I got a picture of my front porch with the box that the wrong part came in stating that my part had been delivered. So this time I called customer service and was told that there must have been a mistake made and that I would be emailed a shipping label to use in returning the wrong part and that the motor would be re-ordered. So a couple more days pass and I have received nothing. Then I get an email stating that my case has been reviewed and I got the part that I ordered. Apparently the folks at Autozone do not think thier customers know the difference between a window regulator and a window lift motor. So I called customer service again, 8 days now since my order, only to be told that I can just go to the nearest store and they will take care of things. So I go to the store to get a refund, because I have zero confidence in the ability of Autozone to get me the part that I need and the good employees there take care of returning the "wrong" part and refunding me the cost of that part. However, they cannot refund me the money that I spent on having the wrong part sent to me to begin with. So, not only did I learn not to trust Autozone for anything again, it cost me shipping cost to do so. Think about this...if every customer that gets the wrong parts sent to them are told to return them to the store without being refunded for shipping, Autozone is making millions. What a terrible way to make a dollar.

Was lured into placing an on line order with Autozone. 20 percent off 2 wheel hubs with free overnite shipping. Card would not be charged until items shipped with a tracking number. Sounded really good to me. Wanted these items due to a 3 year warranty. Now here is the reality of Autozone. Card was charged immediately. No tracking info. Two weeks have expired. Only shows processing on my Autozone account. Three calls to help line and advises they are working on it. Said I can go buy them if I need them now and return the ones I get when they arrive and then wait 7 to 10 business days for a credit back. If I go and purchase them at the Autozone store I have to pay the full price at the store. Oh by the way they will give me 10 percent off next order for my inconvenience. Right! Fool me once Autozone.
