My Amazon account suspended/on hold due to suspected unauthorized activity. I have called the Amazon customer service and told they would contact me by email with details/process regarding reactivation of my account. Several days and multiple calls and still no resolution.

Even in my wildest dreams I would have never imagined a company could be plagued by such profoundly mediocre customer service. Saying they are absolutely terrible and useless doesn't say anything. They are rude, ignorant, incompetent liars at best. It has become so excruciatingly painful just trying to reach customer service... and once you actually achieve it you are sucked into probably the worst experience you can possibly have. I would definitely put amazon as the worst company in the world right now. Their greed knows no frontier. 90% of orders since July went horribly bad, with unimaginable delays such as weeks for one-day shipping items. Even had a 150$ item last month never delivered (probably stolen by the delivery driver I don't know) and never got any refund. I would definitely enjoy seeing this company completely burn to ashes. Canceled my prime membership. Will never ever buy from them again. I would actually prefer being cut by a rusty knife and having lemon juice and salt poured over the wound than ever having to deal with amazon customer service again. It's this terrible.

Chatbot replacement of customer service has made engaging with any complex failure in services impossible - the humans don't have levers, or claim no to, and the bot doesn't work.

To say nothing of broader corporate issues like the prevalence of graft and criminal fakery in the sellers making use of the platform under Amazon's name, bribery for reviews, scalping, and on and on.

Amazon has become less realiable than Aliexpress, and more expensive on top of that.

There service has become absolutely terrible. They went from being the best to one of the worst companies to deal with

The worst.
They lie.
They do not know Amazon free shipping policy
They claim they cannot see orders, cannot refund shipping charge, that should have been FREE SHIPPING,
They claim they cannot cancel an order.
They're worthless, other than at making customers so upset that it's easier to pay an extra $6.99 than deal with these morons.

Do not order from this company do not get prime. It is a waste of time. It's just a big rip off their supervisor even lied to me and they admitted that the did the did nothing to her.

Amazon used to stand by its delivery estimates. Anyone remember 2 day *guaranteed* with Prime. I have been experiencing many delays, and one was for an item that ended up 4 DAYS LATER than expected that I absolutely needed the day before it ultimately arrived, leaving me with no time to figure something else out. I reached out to Amazon's customer service, and they did not care at all. I would love to drop my Prime and all the extra services I pay for, but my husband won't let me. I feel like I am in an abusive relationship with Amazon.

I had repeated calls for items not being delivered on time. They told me after the tenth item in 3 months that they would add two additional months on my account, so I should not owe again when my Prime membership comes due. Fast forward to a WEEK I find they charged my card on file for the membership. I noticed that an Item I bought specifically for the delivery time has yet to ship so I began the process of reaching out once more, only to find myself in chat | Customer service hell. They transferred me three times, then said they were going to call me. Called and no one spoke for two minutes then someone came on and said that they did not have my information and he would have to call back. waited 1/2 hour and no return call so I began the process all over again. I am pretty sure that I will get no satisfaction nor any items I purchased because they said they would be same day delivery and again not shipped.

Due to crony capitalism, amazon does not have to provide good service to its customers. During the fake pandemic
Amazon was able to operate as usual and gained lots of customers due to the fact a lot of smaller businesses were shut down because of The lock downs Which mysteriously only affected these smaller companies. It was at this time they quit providing decent customer service. Amazon also has large contracts with the federal government witch makes a lot of money with These contracts and also where given favorable status by the fed's.

Amazon has fallen to the horrible AI system and greed is ominous. Their support is beyond frustrating and difficult these days. It used to be much better. I received a damaged box of detergent and they wanted me to drive the box to a return center in order to refund my purchase. I couldn't even explain the spill situation due to it being an automated AI with limited responses. Grrr!! By the time I got to an actual person the procedure was so time consuming and ridiculous that my patience is growing tired of this entire system. It's time to stop this takeover. They're desensitized to any human needs or wants. They only care about their bottom line. It's their blind spot. People are growing tired of it all. Don't get complacent.

Horrible. my prime video was hacked and someone else purchased a movie which I GOT CHARGED FOR. I don't even use Prime Video. Contacted them multiple times over a few months, but no action was taken. Just standard template answers and no refund. Worried that my personal data might also be compromised. There are so many other better e-commerce out there at better value too. No point using Amazon. Unreliable.

Customer service at Amazon has suffered greatly since the introduction of AI.

Amazon help is an automated bureaucratic maze run by artificial-'retardance'. It is an irritating useless process.

I have been a very long time member of Amazon using Points and using my HSBC Premier the only credit card I ever have used when buying from Amazon US/UK/JPN. My previous HSBC card was hacked so I immediately closed it and applied for a new one. I tried to link it to Amazon Points 15 times and get the same pop up message everytime with no explnation as why a red flag.I live in Taiwan and we do not have 5 digits zip codes only 3 as my image indicates. I have spent over 1 week with customer service chat trying to get a straight answer and none of the customer service reps have a clue. Some keep me waiting so long that the chat either shuts down or another customer service rep gets on and I need to repeat the entire story over again. I now just copy and paste the chat if they ask me how they can help to save time. Some blame HSBC when they have no other answer so the why have HSBC as one of the banks that connect with points? Others tell me to call Amazon which is no problem but when you go to the call the drop down menu does not list Taiwan country code which is +886 so how can a person call? Then others advise to stay on the chat and I will receive a call within 2-3 minutes which is more like 2-3 hours if I were stupid enough to wait while others send me an e-mail that someone will call me back in 6 hours which never happens. So at this point I give up with customer service and take it to a much higher level once I find out their name and contact. I have copied every useless chat and useless email including this one as I know it will most likely will never be posted. Pity as at one time in the Jeff Bezos days customers matter those days are over and Amazon is no longer customer-centric as they say they are.

The problem with Amazon along with every other business customer service for citizens in the United States is that the customer services reps are all too often larsonous uneducated non-english speaking clowns and idiots that are quick to undermine the customer after deliberately doing things to CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR CUSTOMERS. The reps know they will not be held accountable by anybody or entity mainly because they are not based in the United States. I am sick and tired of these non-American ignorant fools and the way they harass North American customers like stealing online accounts and being unable to recover them without an explanation from their warped behinds. I have definitely had enough of these stupid people from India being rude and angry just because they are the ones that lack common sense. They cannot speak proper english nor comprehend the english language. Amazon should be prosecuted for this piss poor customer service and negligence. We customer deserve reparational damages!

I have never experienced worse customer service! I called to take care of an order issue and the first rep I spoke to told me everything was addressed and that she would confirm thru email. I hung up and realized I didn't verify the email Addy she had. I called back and was told there was no way the first rep took care of anything cuz my account was locked. Hmmm...so after about 10 minutes, the 2nd rep told me there was nothing she could do. Finally, the third rep put me on hold for about 10 minutes, then told me someone wld call me back. I asked for a time frame (so I cld make sure I was by phone) and her response was "I don't know." I gave up and still have not received a call. Now, I'm just waiting to make sure they don't charge me. I will never order from them again.

Good afternoon Amazon Customer service,

My name is Adam Minter. I have been an Amazon customer for several years now. I recently was considering making another purchase of medical education training equipment for anesthesia students. Prior to doing so I reached out to Amazon customer service and inquired about an $80 shipping fee. The reason is because as a student prime member, I have never had such a high shipping cost before and I asked if there was anything that could be done about it. The customer service representative told me yes and to go ahead and place the order and once I received the order to reach back out and Amazon and I would be refunded the shipping cost of $80.00 US. I said ok, that sounds good and I placed the order under that pretense on August 4th, 2023. I received my items late in the evening on August 9th, 2023, and decided I would reach back out as instructed by the customer service representative. However, when I called today I was told by another representative that I would not get the refund of $80 as promised per the Amazon customer service rep and escalated to a supervisor who told me the same thing. Despite having Amazon customer service chat history with the representative who promised if I placed the order I would be refunded, the supervisor denied offering any kind of assistance for the unethical behavior. I never would have placed the order because of the large shipping cost had it not been for customer service saying they would refund it, if I ordered it. And then the escalation supervisor also informed me that I would have to pay an additional shipping charge of $80 to ship the return back. I have always loved Amazon but I have never been deliberately lied to just so I would order something. I know $300 may not be a lot to most people but I am trying to finish my medical training as a one-income family and have a twelve-month-old son in daycare. My wife makes $55k annually before taxes as originally promised by the Amazon representative? I have included the exact conversation with the representative and orders below. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Adam Minter

You can't believe Amazon Customer service Do not trust what the representative tells you. Their customer service is the worst!

I had a sudden software issue with a product that I bought from amazon. The product is still covered by the manufacturer warranty however they don't support shipping to my country. Thus, they asked to claim it from amazon directly... and omg how bad was that of an experience. I've cycled through more than 10 associates over the course of a couple minutes. Some of them give the good ol' "let me check on this" and just leave the chat blatantly, or they promise me something but nothing happens. Such an example is TWO different associates asked for my phone number so they could connect me to a specialized team that would handle and solve my issue. However, just as I give them my number, they claim they've sent my details and i should receive a call shortly. However, even after an hour of waiting no one bothered to call. That besides a bunch of others telling me that I'll get a reply within 48 hours.. and surprise surprise.. no one reaches out. I've yet to receive anything remotely helpful, but I'll pursue the issue with them until someone knowledgeable shows up.

Amazon seems to go out of the way to make it difficult to speak to a human. The customer service people are not given the proper tools to resolve issues with shipments. The only answers they have are to just wait a few more days and hope the shipment arrives or they can refund the purchase. When a shipment goes well it is fine, if there are any issues they try to pass customers off to a third party even if they never received the items or they give you a brick wall as an answer. Worst customer service of any company I have delt with and it is not the representatives fault, is the lack of training and providing proper tools to them to resolve issues.

The people in india don't know what a quotation is or what they do google's search engine. When I gavfe them all of that info, they were still so clues (all 3 of them), then they sent a phone number where a robot was just as useless. Talked to a human eventually and he didn't know what a quotation was.

Simple question, in google quotes do somthing, I just wanted to know if the amazon search had the same feature - because it's not great. 30min later I still have no idea.

Tried to log into my account which I hadn't used in years (because Amazon is the worst version of exploitative capitalism). Did not know the password. Reset the password and was told the account is locked and contact customer service. Called and put on hold. The support person was immediately rude and told me without trying anything that my account was locked forever and to just make a new account. I spoke to a supervisor who claimed he could do nothing. Put back on hold twice. Gave up. Can't comprehend how my account would be irretrievable without a single attempt to tell me why it was locked. Can't wait for this company to get destroyed!

Amazon didn't ship a prime day deal and just said we'd offer a refund and you can order it again for 2.5 times the price! They didn't even have the courtesy to offer a discount on the new order let alone price match. Terrible customer service and agents with quite rude behavior. We aren't asking for anything for free, but if a deal is advertized there should be a logical reason for not fulfilling it!!! So disappointed

It doesn't really help the customer to control what questions can be asked. Its obvious Amazon is just using AI instead of actual people. All I wanted to do was find out why my order hadn't shipped yet when its supposed to be delivered today but didn't even have an area to type my questions. Instead I had a list of questions I was forced to ask.
This was very disappointing.
