Cancelled membership was still getting charged 2 years later was told they wouldn't give me the exact amount back it was to much money but they didn't think twice taking from my account....no explanation no return calls by owners or management

Does planet fitness, corporate, send complaint s ,grievance s, they receive, back to the gyms the complaints are about?
The whole point of going to corporate, is to make them aware of everything that is happening in their local P.F.gyms. I sent corporate a serious complaint, about ethical violation. Harrassment, and company violations, against a employee. The franchise owner did absolutely nothing about, never even contacted me. I sent a letter to corporate too. I would not be pressing this if I wasn't completely telling the truth. I have contacted a local lawyer. I'm waiting for a witness statement. To proceed.
Everything people are saying on line is accurate, about P.F. corporate. They take down your complaints, walk away.

12 tanning beds and only 3 that work take for ever fix anything on got 2 texnitions for the hole valley so they come like once a year to fix the bear min

I left the P.F. gym by me. In Bloomsburg Pennsylvania, It was very convenient. And at first I loved going. Liked the training, classes, made friends. I made the mistake, of becoming Friends with a guy, who a employee liked. Later on, she started harassing me, bullying me. Texting other employees about me, right in front of me, too. staring at me, laughing at me, talking about me in the black card room. Watching me from a neighboring parking lot. I discussed this with, the manager, who told the franchise owner. Nothing was done, This continues for 1.5 years.
Another employee, who was a friend. Discussed with me, private information about gym customers, their address, ages etc..said" don't tell anyone, "I will loose my job ". Verbatim, she also discussed their private intimate info, arrest info. Who was cheating on who...gossip, all the time. Breaking company policy and ethics laws. I went online like the owner told me, when I gave a negative review. P.F. social. I went to the B.B.B. I left messages, reviews, i ve contacted corporate, im asking for someone from corporate to contact me, I'm asking for 1.5 years, refund... . I tried to resolve this twice, with the manager. But he, and the employees denied all wrong doing..I had a horrible incident that was caught via camera with this employee on a Saturday in May of '. 22. Where she and her boyfriend humiliated me. Bullied me, while I was on the treadmill.
Nothing was done, no recourse.
I also have spoken to the former physical trainer, Alex V. told him, I was discussing, what he spoke to me about, because, it shows the , immaturity and demeaning behavior of these employees, he has felt and been criticized and felt alienated and put down numerous times by them, I've witnessed it.
Making a facility truly judgment free is impossible the problem lies with the attitudes of the people who work there. I truly should not have been the one to leave. Please contact me, before I contact a counselor, that is something I have considered.

They're late fees are ridiculous I already downgraded to a $10 membership. Hoping that the late fee wouldn't be as crazy but I started 3 new jobs and my budget isn't quite right and I must have not had money in a bank at one point for some reason it took $49 out of my account. It will no more than a week or two late I don't understand why they take so much money when it cost $10. They're late fees are ridiculous robbing you

I am inquiring about the weekend times. I joined your gym because of the 24/7 times and now they are not open earlier on the weekends, I know I am not the only one who feels this way. The faster you can go back to the original times the better. I have brought this issue to the manager of the Kenosha club, but he continues to say it is up to corporate.

If you downgrade your membership from a Black Card to a regular membership, note that you will be charged the yearly membership fees again in 3 months even if you just paid them. I paid the fees on 12/1, decided in January I did not need the Black Card any longer and was charged the fees again on 3/1. When I reached out for a refund, experienced some of the worst customer service I have had and this was from their Manager. 3 weeks have past with no resolution or really any willingness to help. Cannot cancel the membership over the phone and stated I would have to come in. Do yourself a favor and go to another gym.

I have been a planet fitness member for years now, and I miss the discipline. It is extremely contradictory for your venues to post all of the signs relative to phones, machine usage, cleanliness, the lunk alarm, personal belongings, when not one worker makes people adhere to them. You might just put up one sign that reads first come first serve, do what you want.

I was on tour in 2017 and got a membership to an individual location in San Antonio TX, just to work out and shower for 1 day while on the road, but because I live in Florida and because I cannot physically go into this location to cancel my membership, I've been getting charged since 2017 and I need to figure out how to correct this. It's just not right.

I had to leave this gym,over a year, of being treated like a peraria. Stared at, talked about, texting among employees, antagonizing behavior, Harrassment 101. Even after I was told I would be left alone,by the manager. Someone who witnessed, inappropriate behavior from a employee. Theres others, like i told the PF people, who ignored it. The franchise owner, is aware, of this. Never contacted me. His manager , i told, twice, i never lied, about what transpired. Employees lied. Now this will have to go to main headquarters.

The Location on S Hamilton road in Gahanna, Ohio is clean during the day. They have a great day shift team. Although, I have gone late at night/early morning and it is not as well kept. Everytime I go in, there are two or three people just standing there on their phone. Paying no attention to anything or anyone. It's a shame.I have also noticed they rarely are in uniform. Or if they are, it is covered and they have their hoods up. It's unprofessional and I am looking into other gyms.

The new assittant manger at the crestwood planet fitness are horrible, when they are around they do nothing and will not help you, you will be sitting at the front desk for 5 mins at a time and she will make eye contact and ignore you. She doesnt make me feel welcomed, I never get a smile or a " hey how you doing" like I did with the old asstaint manger Tyler. The tanning beds are always dirty while she is working. Her costumer service is horrible and her job ethic is even worse. When Margie is working I never have to wait to tan, the bed is cleaned and as soon as I step foot in the bed is ready for me, margie is someone I would want as my asstaint manger. She makes me feel welcomed, and knows who I am even with the short period of time I have been a member. I have heard mutiple people complain about shelby, and how rude she is.

My daughter and I joined the Planet Fitness Gym on Paul Russell road in Tallahassee, Fl. a few months after joining a family member fell ill due to cancer. We were helping care for him and had to cancel our memberships. On November 1st Planet Fitness took a $83.86 out of my account for our annual fees so I contacted Robert the manager for that location he said he would see what he could do because they usually don't refund the annual fees. I have not got a penny of that money back and every time I call to speak to Robert he is either busy or out sick. 3 weeks ago a lady that works there said Robert was going to approve the refund but I haven't received it or can't speak with Robert. I told them if I could not get my money back we would have to try to get to the gym to work out when we could I was then told we could not do that because we no longer were members. So now I have paid annual fees and out that money and can't use the gym.

I joined in August 2022 and paid a $38 sign up fee, no time commitment. I took my daughter in November. She loved it. She went home and the next day she got dressed to work out and sign up for a black card membership. She got there and was told she had to commit to 12 months and take a halo she didn't even want. No other options were given. No idea when it would be possible to sign up with out a 10 month commitment. She left. That was absolutely stupid. I will never recommend anyone join again. They run these promos and u never know when a regular membership will be available. Planet Fitness - u get an F today!

The customer service at the planet fitness is Steubenville is great typically. However, some of the workers show intentional rudeness to individuals. It is suppose to be a judgement free gym and provide customer service that is kind and friendly. Walking in to the worker staring and not saying a word but will to other individuals is not friendly. Another example is when mishearing the worker and instead of politely repeating themselves they get frustrated and are worried about cleaning the equipment used rather than the lack of communication.

I have been charged over 270 in the past 3 months for a membership to a club I didn't sign up at. I canceled the membership I had nearly 5 months ago and every week I am charged $27.11 from my checking account. I have contacted the club and they refuse to refund the money that was illegally taken from my account. I am at this point seeking legal action against Planet Fitness for damages

I have a black card. I use the standup tanning due to a skin condition. The bulbs in the stand ups at Vivian and Antioch in Kansas City MO are well passed the change date. What can you do to assure that the bulbs are going to be changed immediately. There is not a supply issue because all the other tanning salons in the area are able to access bulbs and get them and replace them but I don't belong to them yet. It now makes me wonder if that location is going to be closed because it's not being kept up. And I really feel I should be reimbursed for the last nine months of my black card Medicare pay for my exercising at planet fitness I pay out of pocket the difference I feel like I should be reimbursed my portion.

I've been a member at planet fitness for a couple years and was going great until today. I went to work out on the treadmill and normally watch Fox News when I'm exercising. Well, Fox News was not on the TV that I normally watch; it was a weather channel. I looked at the far end at another TV, and CNN was playing. I went to ask the lady at the front desk why Fox News was not playing, and she said that corporate office took it off. I immediately discontinued my membership and don't plan on going back. Since I've been a member at the gym, CNN and Fox News always played at my gym in Houma, Louisiana. I think it's discriminating against people who like to watch Fox News. The fair thing to do is either keep both of them on or take both of them off. Your mission statement does not standby what it actually says.

August 17 , 2022 I went the planet fitness in brick New Jersey to go work out one of the employees told me I was banned from the gym asked me to leave I asked for the number for corporate call corporate several times to resolve the matter never gone anywhere get a phone call later this evening or come to find out she didn't explain why they were cancelling my membership told me I was being too aggressive / intimidating members of the club ask her see video footage of the complaint and asked to list a complaint she told me she could not release that information to me very rude and nasty to me on the phone telling me that tapping my feet and breathing heavy is intimidating and being aggressive in the gym behaviour which explain to her I have ADHD and disability problem which medical condition . Which one of their policies is called discrimination I feel like I'm being discriminated 100% i'm feeling harassed and bullied at the same time .

The staff at the McGregor location in fort Myers is the most rude staff I have ever come across if they don't like something about you even the color of your shirt or whatever they will judge you and treat you bad I've seen them kick people out in the in such a mean way, and not give back their deposit or remaining amount on account not in a way politely no they have all kind of it's like their own little thing going there with that franchise with the most obnoxious manager running the placeit's so bad there do not join that location

Been charged fee after fee with no notice. Money is not being taken directly out of my account like it was when I first signed up which I don't know why...therefore they keep charging me a late fee. Just canceled my membership only after paying $115 which I somehow owe from only the last TWO months. They don't even notify you on the app if you're past due or if the last payment went through. This place is a scam and I will not be returning. Will make sure to tell friends and family to steer clear if they don't want to be robbed. This is my first time sending in a complaint about ANY business because I have never been so appalled at how they get away with scamming people. This is not okay and I see a lawsuit in their future.

Hello!

A few months back, I called the Crystal Lake, IL Planet Fitness to cancel my membership, since I no longer live in Illinois. I spoke to a young man who I believe was named Sam.

The young man told me I had an annual membership that would simply expire/end after 3.27, and that I would no longer be charged beyond that point. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not specifically documenting the young man's name, nor the date/time of the call, as I really didn't think I'd need to.

However, near the end of April, I noticed I'd been charged $22.99 on 4.17, despite being told my membership would simply end after 3.27. I called the Crystal Lake Planet Fitness (either on 4.30 or 5.1) and spoke to a young gal, who said she'd leave a note for her manager to call me back.

On 5.2 at 12:55 PM, the Crystal Lake PF General Manager Chuck called and left me a voicemail, indicating that he unfortunately could not refund the $22.99 monthly charge from 4.17. However, he also stated he couldn't refund a $39.00 annual charge from 5.1, with its cancellation cutoff being 4.25 (merely a handful of days before the charge posted).

Prior to hearing that voicemail, I hadn't even realized I was charged an annual fee, so it felt like a double-punch to the gut (especially since I'd just missed the cancellation cutoff).

I called Chuck back later that day to discuss the situation, explaining to him that I was specifically told my membership would end after 3.17, that I would not need to take any further action, and that my Planet Fitness account would not be charged again.

Chuck was very polite and professional, explaining that I actually had a month-to-month membership, and that annual memberships are extremely rare. He also apologized on behalf of his associate and their misinformation. However, he maintained that there was nothing he could do, and that I would not be refunded for either charge, despite the misinformation.

Adding insult to injury, had I known this was a month-to-month membership, I would have canceled it in the summer of 2021 before moving out of Illinois. Accordingly, I submitted monthly payments over the next year for something I didn't even use, adding extra sting to these last two charges.

Believe it or not...I get it! Having worked in customer service for several years, I understand how challenging it can be.

I received the misinformation from a young man (Sam?) who was likely new, nervous, and/or not sufficiently trained. Unfortunately, that's the new normal! Training has sadly become a luxury, which isn't fair to anyone involved. Frankly, I've been in that young man's shoes a time or two.

Also, I can understand where Chuck is coming from. After all, it's not his fault that one of his associates gave me misinformation. As the General Manager of that facility, I get that he can't simply hand out refunds anytime anyone claims to have been misled.

Also, with Planet Fitness' fees being reasonable in general, I'm guessing the management is instructed to refrain from issuing refunds altogether.

I understand the dilemma and, having worked in customer service, I'd never become the customer who gets upset, starts making demands, etc. However, despite my understanding, I was surprised that Chuck didn't offer any type of refund in accordance with the misinformation.

Accordingly, I feel I must continue to present my case while respectfully requesting a refund.

Please consider my formal request for a $61.99 refund, covering $22.99 from 4.17 and $39.00 from 5.1.
