This company has the worst support I have ever seen. All of this automation just gets you to the point where nothing gets resolved, no human is in the mix and nothing gets done.

Disputes raised are not even looked thoroughly in to. I had one which got closed without a proper investigation.

Pay pal is a joke I have a balance of 247 dollars I have tried every way possible to obtain this money receiving a message saying PayPal can not complete retry or cancel I have been on the phone with them today 12/30/22 wich makes the third time the last two and this one so three times there only answer is to wait I told him so when I call back 24 hours from now will your answer be wait he answered me every wich way being a runaround and the end result is wait I got that answer three times he said it is being stopped by a computer not a person so I asked can you transfer me to someone that can access that computer and find the problem he said that's impossible so I said am I going to be waiting the rest of my life potentially he said no so I said when I call back the next time and it is wait for your answer The next time is it going to be weighed and the next time is it going to be weight and he said yes so people before putting your money or finances in PayPal Don't do it because your money can potentially be stopped by a computer even though the balance says it's there it's not fraudulent and should be able to send they cannot give me an answer because I put my trust in PayPal on being able to complete simple transactions I am fined 75 dollars because I'm late on a bill I had due because PayPal is holding my money and cannot tell me why they're only answer is wait garbage I'm deleting this account if I ever do get my money as soon as I do and I recommend people use a real bank cuz this is terrible

Pay pal has the rudest Spanish agents ,they are unprofessional ,rude rhey hang up on customers and the calls should be recorded, and fired .

They have the worst customer service. No human response. They allowed a fake trans to happen and money to be taken out while no goods or services were delivered. Complained formally but you have to use their email communication so no email trail.

PayPal is the biggest legal scam. My band was paid thru PayPal from the city of Raleigh nc. They put a hold on the deposit which i had to jump over hoops to get released and now there is a hold on the final payment which i cannot pay my guys. You cannot speak to anyone in customer service. Their message chat is a joke. They have limited my access to the account unless i provide irrelevant information. They take their money off too which is an absolutely ridiculous percentage then hold your money. I will never use PayPal again and anyone who uses PayPal should terminate their account immediately.

Pathetically bad customer service. Staff responding to accounting problems are drones who do little more than read a script, regardless of the facts. Still getting the runaround after four weeks. I simply use my credit card now. Screw PayPal!!!

I had a security issue - I called - used the chat feature- 4 hours later, I have not made contact- this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with an account I use!!!!!

Anytime your client's personal information is compromised - that should be a priority!!!

I had a 1000 dollars pu in my pay pal account they transferred money fairly timely to my bank account but 5 days pulled it out and after a week no body could tell me what happened kept saying get a hold of bank I did pay pal pulled the money back out after a week some one from pay pal said the money should come back to my pay pal account meanwhile my bank account that was verified had now left my wallet all I get are empty assurances that the money will get back to me and empty apologizes

I got a fake invoice and NOBODY I contacted really knew what to do and I sat online for 30 minutes waiting for a manager and then it clicked and hung up. I know I was talking to customer service in another country. I don't understand why American businesses are allowed to do this. How can financial matters be sent to other countries with nobody available to help when online fraud takes place

I had a fraudulent transaction show up four years ago and was given top notch customer service. However, that has changed dramatically. I called for the first time in 4 years today. It is clear they have shipped customer service overseas. Accents are so thick I can barely understand them. Wait times for resolution are two weeks - at least. I was told to contact the retailer in one instance, and said retailer has no evidence of purchase. I am done using PayPal as soon as this is resolved.

Twice now I've called in for a crypto issue. Only to be disconnected 10 seconds into the call
I have not received a satisfactory answer to my question.
Had thought PayPal was a recommended App but now it's losing its credibility.

This company is terrible! They change the rules without prior notification, and leave you high and dry with lousy customer service. I had used their services when they first started out, and now I regret contributing to their growth because they forget who it is they are supposed to treat as their customers! For me to access my account to cancel it, I was told I must purchase a smartphone first! I opened the account without a smartphone, smartypants, why do I need one to close the account? Will never use them!

PayPay has the worst customer service/app in the world! When I finally got a response from them they were talking about an account that was not even mine. It was as if they did not even read or understand the problem that I was having at all. They put "holds" on your money for "security" reasons, and then talk about other people's accounts mistakenly, That's ridiculous.

I used paypal guest checkout where the vendor didn't send me the item. Sent a dispute to my credit card company and the dispute was won. Paypal said they issued a double refund to me (they didn't) to a paypal account that doesn't exist - there is no paypal account associated with the email they sent that to. They then sent it to a debt collection agency.

I've been on hold/calling paypal for over 6 hours trying to resolve this. I'm either placed on hold to talk to a "supervisor" and the call drops an hour later or told that I need to talk to my credit card company. They've asked for tons of documentation that I've provided and none of the people i've talked to are helpful at all. This is the worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time.

I hate paypal and will avoid using them ever again where ever possible.

Your support team is lousy this is the 3rd time I opened a case against a vendor and you did nothing but close the case. I spoke to Norton and they verified the email and physical address associated with the order wasn't mine.Why couldn't you do that? Why do I always have to do your work for you?It's a shame that you really don't provide good support to your clients, if you don't want my business just say so.Stop dropping cases so fast without properly reviewing the issue or at least have a discussion with me first. Norton refunded the money which you should have done.

BEWARE OF PAYPAL. THEY HAVE LIED TO ME, AND REFUSED TO CONTACT CITIBANK. THEIR ACTIONS ASSURED THAT I WOULD BE CHEATED BY A COUNTERFEITER!

In December I purchased a coin from Singapore. It was described as choice uncirculated. The coin was not only counterfeit, but also bent. I complained to both Paypal and Citibank.

Paypal asked me to provide to them proof of the coin being returned, as well as a copy of the postal receipt. They said they would reimburse me up to $100 for my cost to return the coin. I did so. They initially said I was refunded the $594.09 for the coin and $67.30 for the return postage. Then they informed me that since I complained to Citi, my refund was reversed. I asked what I should do. They said to cancel my complaint with Citi. I did so. I waited a few days and called Paypal. They told me that since Citi had never informed them about any cancellation, Paypal was prohibited from addressing my complaint. I again called Citi. Citi told me that someone would contact Paypal. Citibank lied.

I waited another week and called Paypal. They said I should make another complaint with Citi. I did so. Initially Citi provided a refund of $594.09. I was told that my refund is listed as a permanent refund. Once again I was lied to by Citi. Permanent is supposed to be forever, not two weeks. Two weeks later, I received an email stating that since I canceled my complaint there is no longer any refund. I once again called Paypal. They told me that since this issue began they have never had any contact from Citi, and my issues are with Citi.

I use Paypal for protection and convenience. This experience has not been convenient, and Paypal has refused to protect me from fraud and counterfeiting. They have misdirected me to Citibank. They lied about paying for my return fees of $67.30.

I am a victim of fraud and counterfeiting. Hopefully my complaints and reviews will ensure that other consumers will realize how Paypal will not represent their client's interests, and actually assist by negligence in fraud and theft.

I am both frustrated and infuriated with PayPal's Customer Service. This is the second time that I have had to deal with them. I wrote the first time off as an aberration. But, this time was a similar experience, even after I politely asked to expedite the issue to a supervisor. First off, the CS reps are not native English speakers, which was the cause for sometimes difficulty explaining what should have been an easily understood problem. I received a new Business Debit Card, but the way that PayPal glued it to the brochure that accompanies it, removed most of the Debit Card number - which is not stamped into the card as other credit card companies do, but only printed in ink. So, when I pulled the card loose from the brochure, most of the number was totally destroyed and could not even be guessed at.

After I called and explained the entire problem, the agent politely apologized and said she completely understood but needed for me to confirm the Debit Card Number so that she could process a replacement. I couldn't believe it. I then re-explained from scratch that the number was destroyed by the adhesive that they used to stick the card to the brochure.

When she said that the replacement card would be mailed again and take 10 days to reach me I asked that, since I had already waited 10 days for this card and that it was PayPal's fault for both using ink instead of stamping the Debit Card Number and then gluing the card to the brochure ON the number - that they expedite delivery by two day delivery or at least US Mail Priority Delivery. She said the system would not allow her to do that. So, I asked to escalate the issue to a supervisor - and went thru the exact same issues again, with the exact same end result.

I am now done with PayPal. I have been using them and their Mastercard for nearly all of my many transactions. They will be losing a lot more than what the cost of a simple US Priority Mail envelope would have cost them.

Time wasted on automated messages, they make you listen to dozens of ads, I was transferred four times back and forth without every getting anything resolved, thick0accented Indian call center with no actual PayPal system training.
