Bar none the worst customer service I have experienced. Don't expect anything from this company and you will be satisfied. Every person told me something different for an hour until I finally cancelled my card. Good riddance.

I have been a shopper of Belk many years, since 1978, since I moved to aMt. Pleasant, S.c. I find that the buyers have missed the mark with fashion for petite mature older ladies. Everything is skin right, low necklines, and too short and I'm short. I like to be fashionable but finding it difficult to find something that fits or looks good. More classic looks are needed. Polo clothing Brahmin bags, make up, clothing, jewelry ok. Eileen Fischer never has my size.

I was provided with really bad customer service on 10/4/2022 in Anderson Mall (Anderson, SC) by associate number 006629 "Cathy". Cathy was not in her working area that we had to find someone in the clothing area for help. When Cathy returned she didn't apologize for having me and another lady waiting on her. She by passed me and immediately began talking to the lady that was before who Cathy new and was a regular customer. Cathy walked several times between me and the regular customer and never said excuse me even after i had to take a step back so she wouldn't hit me.

My mother (89) and I went shopping at Belk in Tuscaloosa today around 1 pm. We shopped around and selected our purchases and then began the hunt for an open register. We looked by the jewelry section, the shoes, the purse section, pretty much everywhere. We hit all four corners of the store. We finally found one register open. ONE in the entire store. When we arrived at the one open register, the line of customers was about 8 people deep. I looked at my mother, who was already tired, and asked her if the items were worth the wait. She said no, so we dumped our items and left. If this is your business model, it's pretty sorry.

I have been home all day waiting on my package to be delivered. No package.Found out about appropriately 730pm iits at the post office at my request and I haven't seen anyone. If this is going to be happening I don't want to to do business with Belks anymore. I got another package dueI guess it will be the same way.

Your Murrells Inlet, SC location is filthy. The floors haven't been vacuumed for weeks. The shoe department looks like a hurricane went through it. Clothing on the floor, unfolded and totally wrecked. Will not be back and seek out clean places to spend my money.

I'm at a worker at the weatherford location and I'm Filing a complaint because I am getting mistreated as a worker and no one wants to listen they keep trying to give me an accommodation sheet like I am slow or illiterate and I have everything on recording the store manager is rude to me not letting me talk and and the other managers act like they couldn't do nothing

Y'all they are terrible & unorganized, there are issues with their links & the process to get a resolution is up to 10 business days. In trying to use my rewards there are 9 pending charges plus the amount of the order, I was told it would be resolved once the items shipped,NOPE, then I was charged individually for each item shipped. Will not be shopping one with them anymore. Save yourself the trouble and go into the store.

The bossier city louisiana store had incompetence employee.The store manager thresea she said her name is she is also unperfessional she hang up on you when she knows she wrong That rude.She don't like to here the truth .She need not be a Store Manager.She Lost A New Customer and I'll will be closing my new Card account.I just open thanks to the Store Manager she lost my businesses and the employee not experience on there trainings of there job.I feel sorry for your store .No one should be treated that way for coming in your store and trying again.But no more I don't need nothing that bad.You need to Hired a Experience Store Manager.Good luck staying afloat.

I frequently shop at Belk at the Summit in Birmingham and have never been treated so poorly as I was tonight. The lady checking me out was too busy talking on her ear pods to even say may I help you. After waiting she then proceeded to the back huffing like we were bothering her to check out. I should have left at that point. The whole time she was ringing up my clothes she huffed and puffed like we were a nuisance. Never once greeted us. I stated that one piece of clothing did not have a ticket and she gave it back to me. I did not our chase that item of course. I guess if there isn't a ticket it's not for sale. I have never been treated like this before and if this is what customer service is at Belk then I won't be back. This happened in the Polo Ralph Lauren Mens section on March 11th around 8:00pm.

I am posting about a very rude employee at Belk Westown in Knoxville TN. I had to return a purchase that I ordered using a Belk gift card. The clerk could not scan the barcode included in the packaging and had to call "Kristi". This rude woman arrived at the wrap stand with an immediate attitude. I had receipt, packing list box and gift card I had used. A simple return turned into 30 minutes of back and forth and was only resolved because I was able to pull up the purchase on my email. It is no wonder Belk is like a ghost town. They have lowered their standards and the employees have an attitude to match.

Absolutely the worst Company! First purchase in decades, 5 days later and 13 hours of dropped calls, chats and multiple pass the buck to various customer service reps. None of my discounts applied to the NEW STORE CARD that I was approved for including the additional 25% to open the new account. Total rip off! I'm out $600. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I'M STILL WAITING TO GET TO A SUPERVISOR!!! This Company is noT what it was in the 80's & 90's. I wasted a hard credit pull for a place that I will never shop again & discounts not applied. The customer reps in the chats will drop you after many hours of waiting when they can't fix the situation. The calls drop constantly after waiting for hours in the middle of a customer service call to the 800 number. Then, they DO NOT CALL YOU BACK. Happens MULTIPLE TIMES! I really DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO!! I have been dropped by chats and verbally on the phone an estimated 48 times. This is the TOTAL TRUTH!
The need to regroup or sell to Dillards. This store is a big DO NOT PURCHASE. Customer service is horrific

Terrible customer service from sales associate Mahalia. I was second in line and after she rang up the customer in front of me she asked me if I was ready to check out? Which was obvious as I'm standing in line with merchandise. She proceeded to leave the counter and tell me I needed to go to a different register because she was not supposed to be over there. Not sure why she couldn't just check me out after she allowed me to stand in line and wait and also what harm would it have done to check me out after she was already logged in. She sent me to another register with a gentleman that had somebody in front of me so I had to wait again. I come to Newnan a lot and shop at the Dillard's and decided to try out belk. Bad choice!

There is a old hag named Teresa at Aiken South Carolina she was so rude to a customer and so unprofessional she needs to be fired. I will not do business with belk after seeing that. Disgusting.

I placed an online order. There was a cyber discount. Yet I was suppose to check a little box to get the discount. But the price of the item showed the discount so I assumed it was applied. When I checked out the price did not include the discount. I attempted to cancel my order, but of course the website didn't work. When I put my order number in and hit cancel it just took me back to the order. I did the chat with customer service. They linked me to the site to cancel. But of course it did not work again. So I asked on the chat to speak to a customer rep. Ha ha. I was number 39 in line. So I waited and the 30 minute window to cancel expired. The customer service rep said I could return the items. Yeah! But my credit card is billed until that all gets worked out. I will never shop at Belk again. The cyber deal seemed basically like a bait and switch scheme. The customer service is terrible and the website does not work unless you are paying them for something.

It sounds like Belk has some "opportunities" to do some cleaning house in the management department. The Belk here in Cullman, AL is no better. The management has been so rude to me while shopping in that store, and there is no excuse whatsoever for it. I went in to do a store pickup, no one was in the tower, and to make a long story short I had to wade through two lines to get my pickup order that I was supposed to be able to get immediately. When I called management, I was talked to and treated very rudely. I have tried to speak to someone at corporate, but have not been able to. They also treated some of my family poorly at another store when they tried to exchange some shoes I gave a teenager for Christmas. They treated them as though they had stolen the shoes, and told them they could only exchange for the same pair, which is not their policy. They had to drive an hour to me so I could take them with the receipt and get the money back. If corporate isn't going to clean house, please shut these stores down so we can get a place in where we can shop.

Staff is amazing but Megan D and Manager are terrible to work for. They treat the staff horribly and talk down to not only employees but customers as well.
The manager and her are very buddy/buddy and bully the staff causing long time employees to contemplate quitting and others not even wanting to apply.
They play favorites and treat those who won't or don't kiss their behinds like they are less than and not even worth a breath taken.
Corporate has yet to take care of any of employees concerns or feelings.

If ANYONE can get a handle on this, please do.

Megan Dillion at Belk Mayfaire Wilmington, NC is a vulture. Treats not only employees but customers horribly. She has horrible customer service and disrespectful to everyone and anyone whose not her boss, Nick Swango or other managers who she believes she's in control of. Nothing has been done and many of us are loosing faith anything will. Employees have quit and are going to quit because of her.

Wonderful staff! Work hard and are extremely helpful and wonderful to be around.
New manager and his sidekick Meghan are horrible! Do not think they realize both employees and customers can notice and hear their snide comments about them as associates and work the staff hard to only treat them in such a horrible demeaning way.

Work at any other Belk expect this one unless they aren't working.

I went shopping in the Newnan store today, but I will not go back. I have 30.00 extra bucks that go's out today but you have no one working in that store ,and if you need help you are out of luck.

Regarding Belk in Mayfaire Town Center Wilmington, NC

The staff itself is the myself and others continue to shop and support store. But as of recent everything has changed, unfortunately. The majority of the staff is still absolutely wonderful but the new store manager Nick Swango is a huge disappointment and brings not only the store but the employees and worst of all the customers down.

He has a "I am and always will be the most important person and y'all need to do what I say and when I say it."

As stated by the 'Master,' "No one can tell me what to do not even the ones running corporate. Psh I can and will get away with whatever whenever I damn we'll please!"

PLEASE PLEASE anyone in corporate save this store!!!!!!

hello belk it was my favorite store until I bought a chain .. they sold it to me as better quality and 8 months it lost its color .. I went to talk to the manager. and not professionally he did not attend to me ... nor did he make the point of seeing the chain, because they are like that, they sell you something and then they are not the one to resolve you ... I made a claim and we will see what happens ...wilmington. nc

Belks in Rockingham NC. I witnessed one of the rudest employees at this Belks. Crystal In cosmetics was so rude to other Belk workers. I do not know how management allows her to treat other co-workers like that. She was condescending and talked down to them. She was rude and very disrespectful. Belks should not tolerate employees treating employees like that. I felt bad and didn't want to return to the store again.

I am reporting an incident that happened Nov 1sr! I selected all my jewelry selections and paid cash. Left the store. My fault didn't return till later your co at SP Southern Pines NC. When I did go in several days later my bag was misplaced. I left thinking they would locate it. I went in again still no one knew a manager Whitley was most accommodating but she said the guy at register gave her the bad I wanted long story short. They took all my jewelry out of bad. Brahmin and said oh she must have put two necklaces instead of one in your bad and that's where the 500' for the Brahm came from never matter the necklace, earrings. And the necklace was a long gold with bars on it so they assumed it two necklaces but it was a long one necklace,,, the last you had so I proceeded with resize of a ring my Brahmin bag was sold they ordered the incorrect one. Wow. Shopping at Belk is no a good experience.

I just had major surgery and can hardly fathom going into your store again

I paid 1'500 cash and no Brahmin bad, no necklace. A ring for sure.

Too many hands felt in this matter and I can't reject the ring sized down but I need to know where my bag is and the other things. As I said I've had major surgery and want to be assured oh where my money went and the cost. Mind you their were several coupons + open an account and you get another 20 percent off. I'm upset. This is a sloppy way to do business

The lady jerked the things out trying to justify I didn't pay!!!!! I wasn't her customer. How crude! I owe the Belk nothing. The Belk owes me plenty.

And you owe me a penalty for taking my money and o had to go Christmas shopping all over to make Christmas special.

When I think back on the experience I'm mortified. No staff to help; is this why too many hands in the deal? Idk. But I need it corrected immediately

I am writing to you in regards to an unsettling incident on July 27th at your Saint Augustine store. I was shopping for a new top and was holding it up to my chest to see how it looked. I was suddenly approached by your associate, Misty. She told me I was not allowed to try it on. I responded that I was just holding it up to my chest and at no time did put it over my head to put on. Misty said that was not permitted. I turned to walk away and she shouted "What did you say to me!" I stated that I was not talking to you. She said she was here to help me, and I told her that I did not want her help. She then just stood there and stared at me and I felt frightened and threatened. She continued to argue with me for whatever reason baffled me. I walked away and spoke to the Manager who told me she was a wonderful employee, but he would talk to her. I saw he had an indifferent attitude so I left. Misty is aggressive, abrasive, and intimidating. She should be ashamed for having put me in that situation. Because of this associate I will be doing my shopping in Palm Coast for my sister's grandchildren but because I live only five minutes from the Belk store I will be returning any items because I can get in and out without a problem.

I have been in retail for 32 years with 16 of those working in the Ponce Mall as a retail store Manager. I never once would dare to challenge a customer with a threatening statement as "What did you say to me!" She was looking for an argument and knew she was. I have been a customer since the Belk store opened and my mother and nephews all worked there over the years. I know many of you other employees who have been wonderful and very pleasant.

I am adamant when it comes to social distancing and wearing masks. I also agree and abide by the rules of NOT Trying on clothes.
