I have a complaint regarding the Belk store in Mansfield, Tx. Out of 15 dressing rooms, they had all but 4 blocked off. They said this was because of staffing issues and that the dressing rooms were being used for storage. This is not acceptable. I'm requesting this issue be addressed and for feedback regarding a resolution be provided in the near future. Thank you.

I am currently working at the Belk store in Hot Springs Arkansas.....I requested to have some paid time off and personal time off for a week because I need oral gum surgery and have to have my false teeth out of my mouth for five days. It was declined because the schedules were already posted for January 24th. I asked off on the 12 which is approx. two weeks prior. I was told it was denied because of the time frame. I did not know I was going to have an infection and be told I was to have surgery. This is very discriminatory and I will probably be contacting someone in corporate concerning this.

I am not sure that this post is worth doing after reading just thru October. As far as I can see, not one complaint has been addressed. As far back as I recall, Belks attitude regarding these issues has always been "eh". I have closed my card at least twice the past five years and been talked into returning, so having credit not being used is good for you. Therefore they serve that purpose. I, as a company, would never made Reward card decisions before Christmas. A lot of ppl would meet those magic numbers over Christmas. Long short, I, a 40 year customer, again was downgraded and must pay shipping. Oh no no no no. I did not use my card all of the holidays. Period. The ppl making these decisions have no idea what customer loyalty is about. Also, the return policies suck. So Macys, ON, Bloomingdale's, and etc. got my business. Our choices are much greater with online. Online will close brick and mortar and mortar while smart business online will remove the weeds. There will always be crooks we have to ferret out but as a woman in the south, Belk was MY store. No more.

this is the worst company ever. If you keep doing business this way - you will no longer be in business. You have just lost me as a customer. Contacting anyone is difficult, they are all in foreign countries and do not understand english very well. A credit card dispute takes 60 days even though the return was made weeks ago - still showing on credit card statement. I don't know how you even are still in business. I went to your store in Myrtle Beach over the summer and not one person helped me the whole time I was in the store. I finally just walked out. the staff was rude and I was looking at YSL purses. Do you not want to make money??????

While on vacation in Destin, FL I shopped at the 4101 Legendary Drive store and purchased items during the Charity Sale. All items would be shipped to my home in Georgia. Several complications came about once I return back home. I called the store spoke with the manager whose name is Patty and she went above and beyond to settle all the complications that I was having so that I can get my merchandise shipped to me. I just want to state that she did a wonderful job and she's a great asset to the company. We need more managers like Patty in a lot of retail stores.

I think you should know there's a terrible problem in shipping. I've received packages the last 2 days with ceramic items crushed to pieces. The items were not securely wrapped or packaged. Fragile was no where on outside of box. I got a replacement for the first box but I don't expect it to be any different. It's like throwing money away for Belk because I will get a refund. I can't reach anyone in shipping so it will get no better I guess. Thought you'd like to know your losing money.

Visted Belk at College Square Mall in Morristown TN on Oct 12, 2033 and the store was filthy. The carpet is nasty. The shoe dept had shoes and paper all over the store. Boxes of shoes and boots not put up. The girl from cosmetics had to help me. Only three associates on the store to wait on customers. Very disappointed in the store. Not a pleasant experience.

Very poor customer service at the retail store. I've been a Belk customer for years. I went to pay my bill today at the High Point store like I always do. I went to the Cosmetics Dept because no one was at the other register. The person didn't speak or say how can I help you or anything. I gave her my payment all she said was to put my card in and then she said sign. I did she completed my transaction and didn't say thank you are anything. I said it wasn't for cups paying she wouldn't have a job and she wouldn't. She was new never seen her there before. You need to do better training these young people n't bought up about how to treat anyone. She had an attitude and talk off didn't thank me that is when I said you are suppose to thank customers. Another associate walk up and apologized for her. You hire anyone that say they will work and no customer service skills what so ever. Some businesses are closing because lack of customer service. There is too much completion out here for customers to be treated like they are nobody.

Your customer service has gone down not like it used to be. You need mature people to show them what to do and if they don't do right put them doing something else not dealing with customers. The good people have left and now attitudes are taking over.

The Belk store in Conyers.I work there they have a new store manager named Tonia and they need to get rid of her.She has the store in a mess! Is making employees do 12 hrs to help her fix her mess up! She's bringing in outsiders to help her fix it also! What if they get hurt.Then she is talking about other employees to her friends that she brought in. Get rid of her she needs to considerate on being a manager instead of doing visual!

Absolutely terrible non existent customer service!!!! People stay away. I have a credit card with a $12,000 limit which wouldn't matter as I'm no better than any other shopper. However, I've been a loyal customer for years. I'm not sure what has changed but, customer service is now terrible with bad attitudes if you ever get a response or help at all. Higher end department stores run as good if not better sales...Check them over Belk!!!

Belk shouldn't have customers when making a payment in the retail store use your credit card along with your statement. It is time consuming and unnecessary if you have a statement. No other company have you using both except your company. You need to change your system and do statement only with payment or card without statement only. Need to update with modern times.

After a lengthy wait, a lethargic long gray-haired woman emerged from the back. She took care of other stuff. Always moving at a snail's gait. She finally got to me. I asked for 2 sizes of the same shoe. She brought one and said if I needed the other, she'd get it on her next trip back which is what I wanted to avoid. I sat down to try on the shoes and decided I wasn't funding the Asheville Mall Belk Shoe Department. The lady behind me noticed her "don't care" attitude as well. This is why box stores are dying. This was 1:15-1:30 on April 21, 2023. Lousy employee lost you a customer.

I thought I was getting free shipping and turns out I somehow clicked express shipping. I tried to cancel withing a couple of hours when I realized my mistake. The order had not shipped it was this past weekend. And I called customer service to cancel no help.first order on new card. They were rude and offered no help and it was like I bothered their day by calling. I will not order from Belks again. Lost a loyal cash customer who opened a Belks card for discounts. Discounts are worth the 29.95 shipping I paid and the rudeness was the of customer service was the final decision. Probably would not have another issue. However, I have a bad experience now which has made my decision to know Belks chooses to not help it's customer. I rate Belks a 0 for customer service.

Before I got through to rep I attempted to maneuver the horrific phone tree.
The phone tree is so bad I considered cancelling my card

I live in Williamsburg, VA & today I was in your store on Monticello Ave & saw four police cars, fire Dept, & an ambulance in front of the store. I just thought maybe someone may have gotten sick or possibly has an injury. But the store was open & people were in & out. When I went in I was told that an elderly woman had passed away in the shoe Dept. & was still there on the floor covered with a sheet & couldn't be removed until the Coroner arrived. When is it okay to continue business as usual! The store should have closed until she was removed. We have become a very disrespectful & greedy country that I'm ashamed of!
This was a very traumatic experience & it saddens me! Very poor judgement by your manager!

I returned a quilt that was damaged after ordering online and when I looked at by credit online I was charged a shipping fee. First off anything over 49$ was free shipping and the quilt was 150$ and another incident I was told by an employee my card needed to be updated and to fill out another form and come to find out 6 months later it was an additional credit card from Mastercard and now I have two. Another time I ordered online 3 different times when the app showed the item in stock and all three times my order was cancelled. The store in my area is a junk piled store and I'm totally disappointed how Belk has become a low class equivalent to Kohl's. Which is a terrible place to shop as well.

Received 7 $5.00 coupons in my statement but when I went to the store to use them they said they had already been used. Made 2 different calls to customer service and received same answer. The could not show me where or when they were used but just kept repeating that they had been used. I had used this card on other purchases to receive rewards but will no longer use it anywhere especially Belks. If there was a rating lower than one star they would be first in line. You already can't get waited on it looks like the good will store don't be surprised when you here they have gone out of business.

My daughter bought me a coat from Belk in Cullman and in the madness of Christmas, she lost the receipt. I took it back to exchange it for a larger size or a different coat. The cashier told me that because people steal, that she could not allow to do either, since I could not prove that I had paid for the coat. She was accusing me of stealing it, which was totally not the case. Belk was trying to steal it from me because the cashier told me that she could give me half of the price of the coat on a Belk gift card. I told her that she was ridiculous and that I would just keep the coat and not shop there again.

Belk is the worst place to shop. I ordered a coat that said it's in the store ,they took my money and now they don't have it in the store and want me to wait for it to be shipped and its a Christmas present. So I don't want to wait and they are holding my money for 48 hours this is not good business. I hope people think twice before buying from belk. They are not good business.

Spent over 300.00 on a tree angel topper and tree skirt. Lights are LED on tree but regular on Angel.
Have been on the phone with CS over an 1.5 hours with no resolution

Back early in November when Belk's was having one of their sales events we made an order for several items. (ORDER #1032917246) Everything was received relatively quick but the items ordered came in several different packages suspected to have been sent from multiple locations.
One of the deals was on Ladies Panties,(ITEM #0608926090091) and the deal was BUY 2 GET 3 FREE. We only received 2 pairs and they were shipped in separate packages. THIS WAS WRONG and the customer WAS CHEATED BY BELK"S !! We called and established a Case #10296696 and certainly expected BELK'S to make this right. 3 Weeks have passed and nothing has been received in the mail from BELK'S so today we contacted BELK's again. Only to find out that BELK'S has chosen to not honor their sale agreement and instead offered us 20% off our next purchase. WE DO NOT WANT 20% OFF WE WANT WHAT WE WERE PROMISED AND WHAT WE PAID FOR !!! THERE WILL BE NO NEXT PURCHASE !! FOR CHEATING THIS CUSTOMER BELK'S LOSES ANY MONEY THAT WE WOULD HAVE SPENT THIS YEAR AND FROM NOW ON. Our network of Friends & family will be fully aware of what CHEATER's BELK's is.

What has happened to the merchandise at the Belk in Monroe? Was there a few weeks ago to shop and all your clothes for women had deteriorated to the point I left empty handed. Used yo be could go and find a great selection of women's clothing that fitted! Now everything is very baggy, sloppy and very unstylish! Was very disappointed! Will not shop there anymore! Have not tried the one at Carolina place or down at South Park but geez who are you trying to Impress? My daughter-in-law went to the one in Monroe and she told me she will not go back and that is exactly how I feel . That wonderley clothing is horrific! You have lost 2 devoted customers due to terrible merchandise buying on a buyers account!

On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, I needed to return some items for exchange. it seem like there were only two people working registers, but a young lady named Brooke was very helpful with providing me with a gift card, giving me directions to the men's shoe department, and processing my payment for clothing I purchased. She also took the time to explain how I can view the balance on my gift card after every purchase. I appreciate her concern and willingness to assist me.

Since relocating to the Thomasville, GA area, Linda Associate #002801, has assisted me several times making purchases at Belk, Thomasville, Ga location. She offered and assisted me with opening up a credit card account, checking out, ordering of 2 dresses, and returns. No matter what the task, she was always helpful, friendly and showed excellent customer service skills. I feel that she is an asset to the company. On two days I was assisted by Sharon and Lory. They handled my purchase and order with ease and showed great customer service. I have served as manager of retail and restaurant chains and I know from personal experience, in the times that we live in, it is hard to find good employees. When you have some, treat them good, so they will continue working for the business.

On March 31, my husband and I had a really positive experience shopping at Belks in Charlottesville, store 491. The best part was a lovely lady named Carole who worked with us for more than an hour finding just the right slacks, shirts and shorts that fit and coordinated in color and style. She really knew the merchandise well and where to find it. It's a big store with lots of choices and iI would never have found such excellent selections without her help. Here's a big shout out to Carole - you were terrific - thank you for your outstanding customer service!

I would like to tell you about someone that checked me out recently. The first lady could not get my rewards and belk gift card to go through. After many tries she called over another person. They both tried everything to get it right. Finally they called someone else. She could not get the register to work properly and moved me to her register in another section. It turned out that all the registers in the store seemed to be causing problems. This lady was very apologetic and worked hard to complete my purchase. She called the help desk to no avail because there were so many people ahead of her. She finally managed to complete my purchase. Her name is Sharon and she is at store 843-797-2600. You couldn't ask for a nicer and helpful employee.

I recently shopped at Belk Store #26 in Hickory North Carolina. The sales associate (Sue, 012165) was extremely helpful and went out of her way to help me scan the QR code for the sales discount with my phone, saving me $32.50!! I thanked her profusely and was impressed with her professionalism and kindness toward a "technology-challenged senior citizen". Brittany and Krystal at the Belk in Paragould AR store were excellent and did what was expected in customer service thirty years ago. I purchased So-Lite luggage in another Belk store while on vacation but needed to return the luggage to this location when I returned home. I used the luggage one time and it broke in two places plus the zipper broke. When I returned it they refunded my money with no problems. They were very helpful and cheerful about their job. This was a very pleasant experience. Thank you Brittany and Krystal.

My experience with the Belk store at Fashion Square Mall in Charlottesville Virginia was excellent today! I did have a problem with a confusing sale sign however Maria was so helpful and pleasant she immediately solved the issue and I left A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER! THANKS TO HER SERVICE!

I had received an online order that I needed to exchange for another size. I went to the Belks in Macon and could never find anyone to assist me. I walked out and later went into the Belks in Milledgeville. They were short staffed, but at least had a working staff. The clerk that checked me out had a huge line of customers. She was polite and eager to get everyone checked out. She apologized to each of us for the wait. It was not a perfect experience as I was standing in line a long time, but it was certainly not this lady's fault. I wish that I had had employees working for me that worked as she was. God bless the working men and women this day in time as good employees are so hard to find and they are flat overworked.

I was help buy darlene Associate #025526 she was extremely friendly pleasant to work with and went out of her way to make sure I felt happy with the transaction.
She made sure she knew my name. Had a great attitude I actually waited till she was done with the customer ahead of her so I could be taken care of by her because of her attitude. She was happy and helpful

Today I lost my keys at Belk Oaks Mall in Gainesville Fl. Page, the manager, was extremely sympathetic & helpful. She called all departments & took my information. After looking around the store for an hour, I got a call that the keys were found! The lovely ladies in the cosmetics department had found them. Bless you all, Belk employees. Everyone was helpful & kind.

On10/6/2021 I shopped Belk, Conyers, GA location in search for a very special gift for my 53 year old daughter. While looking at jewelry your associate Juanita Cox offered assistance. She was kind and amazingly helpful, excellent spirit, smiles. She had, just my opinion and never mentioned, many responsibilities but spent a long, very helpful time with my slow decision. I left with a beautiful opal necklace, perfect for this occasion. You have an excellent employee and I hope is appreciated. Thanks you, Juanita.

I would like to compliment two Belk employees. There were only two registers open in the entire store and these two ladies were so patient, kind and helpful. They should definitely be highly commended.

If you're looking for anyone who is compliant, quick and easy then you should look for Teresa. She has short dark brownish almost black curly hair. I tend to be impatient and she was trying her best and she is very efficient. I recommend her for any of your purchase needs

I have tried to contact Human Resources at Belk Corporate but, have been unable to get the correct department. I am on medical leave of absence, and filed a short term disability claim through UNUM, but, was told I had to file workman's comp. I asked the Monroe store manager for corporate HR but, she stated she didn't know the number and that would go through her HR representative in the store. I started on Medicare retroactive to October 4th and have asked the Manager and HR rep for help canceling my medical insurance and both say it's not their job.I have called several departments and insurers to try to cancel my Medical insurance but, get no assistance especially in Monroe. There are other employees going on medical leave and others just quitting their jobs because of the inept management and HR representatives. I need someone in corporate HR to talk to but, can only get HR shared services. This is to a point of being ridiculous.
