While the front-line techs were pretty much useless, the higher tier techs were very helpful and responsive in resolving my issue. I would buy an acer again.

acer does'nt have the best products but the customer service is amazing, my new laptop crashed in 3 months, i lost my warranty papers and the reciept of purchase, i call acer on thursday, explain the issue, they tell me to drop the product at the acer service centre on friday, and i get the laptop back with a replaced hard drive and OS on monday!!! HOWEVER i am yet to know if my laptop will work perfectly now. i just got it today

I just want to let you know that I am thoroughly impressed with you Acer laptop. I am thoroughly disgusted and disgruntled with HP Pavillion DV-7 17"of which I paid $1100. for with a couple of programs that is not even a year old and under warranty. Dealing with HP has been the worst experience that I have ever gone through. My computer is defective even after they replaced the hard drive, main board, and the heat sink fan it still gets towards the hot side. It makes me very uncomfortable with all the heat coming out when I am on the computer for long periods of time and watching a dvd. You need to feel secure that your documents and information is safe. I do not feel safe with this laptop.

Just to be fair I performed similar duties of watching a dvd movie and surfing on the web. The Acer laptop that I purchased for my husband for our anniversary left the HP in the dust. It barely left cool and the movie went through twice. On the other hand, the HP top of the keyboard was getting warm and the side/underneath was getting warm/hot the longer it was on.

I have repeatedly gotten bad service from HP laptops and to add insult they sent me back my hot computer saying nothing is wrong. The size and what is on the laptops is almost identical. It scares me to use this laptop and I seriously doubt that they will fix it as they state there is nothing wrong. Wrong answer!

My husband is thoroughly happy with the Acer and when I save up the money will purchase one like my husbands. Acer has completely won me over. You are in charge of a wonderful company.

I agree the customer service is hard to understand. But overall I got great service. I sent my computer in last week they received it on Friday and Fixed it and sent it out by Tuesday. I received MY computer back and it is Fixed. (I've read other reviews and some got the wrong computer sent back to them.) My only complaint I my fault I sent my laptop to them in the original box and didn't receive it back. Once again my stupidity for thinking they would send it back :S

Got on with a representative almost immediately and was able to understand 99% of what was being said! They were very helpful and are taking care of my issues, no problem!

Good customers support, now I just hope the repair goes well!

the first computer i ever bought from a store was around 1994 it still running today altho not up to my speed but it was a great pc in its time i now build my own computers but recently purchased a p205h lcd monitor for a very fair price i liked it so much i bought another i called tech support and got right through just to thank them keep up the good work and good quality and fair prices thank you timothy dougan alliance ohio

100% amazingly satisfied with this event. As expected, the rep was not of American descent; however, he spoke clearly and slowly to make sure each of us understood the problem, address, numbers, etc. Hold time was minimal. I wish all Customer Service was like my experience today. Good Job! A+

my Charger died today. called and got one in advance ship.
it was great
I used the directions for how to get a live agent.. interesting it was 9:20 pm central that I called on a Saturday night.

I've had issues with my laptop, but Acer has fixed everything free of charge (other than shipping). Though Acer has had issues with communication. They do a great job once they get the computer, but being required to pay for shipping to the warehouse is very annoying. I hope I don't have any more problems.

Alright so it took forever to finally get to someone but after I finally got to a live person I had my problem resolved in about 20 minutes. They are replacing my equipment at no charge to myself.

I have been having problems with the battery on my Acer Aspire (5542-5462). I contacted Acer yesterday, and the customer service agent walked me through a fairly simple troubleshooting process. I don't know what all of the fuss is about. I was expecting the worst after reading this review, and while they were horrible at pronouncing English words, they were actually very helpful. There is not a lot of praise out there for Acer's customer service, but I think that is simply because people prefer to complain.

I just got off a 35-minute call with a rep named Ram trying to help me with a problem I had during my upgrade to Windows 7. He was extremely helpful and patient, and didn't even laugh when I admitted I had NOT performed a backup before my upgrade.

Yes, I'm not happy with the crappy upgrade wizard that claims my laptop is not supported (yet in the next screen it says it is *sigh*) but I will say I was treated very nicely by the CSR over in Bangalore or whereever he is, earning two bucks a day. Don't even let me get started on outsourcing...

Bought a new Acer Computer from a reputable retailer. Issue occured when I installed the Windows 7 RTC, and deleted my Vista programs and drivers. Called customer service, and even though it was quite obvious that they had outsourced this division, the rep was able to quickly get the problem solved by getting the recovery disks to my home address via overnight mail. I was thoroughly impressed with the speed and caring of Acer.

after reading a few reviews i was not looking forward to contacting customer supports warranty office when my acer 5920 laptop went down...however due to the large number of negative reports here I decided i would give credit where it is due and say a big thank you to acer in my case they did an exceptional job, im not going to go off on a big explanation but I will say i feel very happy with my experience and only wish the best for the two people I had talked to on the phone, Acer give them both a raise please they really deserve every bit of praise I have given

Wow i called this number 866 621 2237 for acer. and i just ask for a recovery disc and they were every happy to give me on. very good customer support. If u buy acer one call them right away and ask, they should give u one. They did for me.

called, got through to a live rep within 3 minutes.
Explained the problem, laptop battery not charging. Just got computer 4 months ago, hardly have used it.
She said she can replace it for me, no charge and we were done.

Despite scary stories on this site, actually had no trougle at all with this number. Called, got through the automated system relatively quickly and without hassle (had my serial number, though). One I got past computer did not have to wait at all for a rep. Problem was handled quickly and courteously. Was only trying to register my new monitor, though. Don't have an Acer computer. Definitely needed this site to provide number, though. Couldn't find one at all on the Acer site.

Excellent service got to speak to a live person within 3 minutes, though prior to that had to battle the automated lady that spoke way too slow. Bottom line, called about servicing my laptop, and got the required information fast and painless.

AspireOne

I called their Customer Support number at 800-816-2237 and was satisfied. The bad news is the wait on a Saturday morning at 10am was interminable but the good news is the American support person was personable and competent. All I wanted was the recovery CD for my brand new Acer AspireOne so I had to make up a BSOD problem so they'd send it, but, they said it would arrive in 3 days free of charge. They kept trying to make me do the system recovery partition but I acted like a klutz and the guy gave up as I wanted him to. I just wanted the OS that I paid for when I bought the computer. Now I'll have it.
