I am a pensioner living on a fixed income and am out of pocket to the tune of thousands of Rand due to an explosion of the glass top on an AEG gas stove (see attached pics). The incident could have caused severe injury. The situation has been both traumatic and distressing. I complained to local South African representative of Electrolux/AEG that I was out of pocket due to no fault of mine and requested to be compensated for my loss. They were absolutely uncooperative and unsympathetic in addressing my concerns and refused to compensate me based on company policy. Furthermore, they lied about the availability of a replacement stove thus incurring me further loss. Treating an elderly pensioner expecting the customer to carry the loss of a faulty product shows their lack of customer care as well as lack of any social responsibility.



I escalated my complaint to Electrolux Sweden the parent company of AEG. To highlight the arrogance and lack of concern of Electrolux Sweden, they have to date not responded to my complaint nor acknowledged receipt of it either. It demonstrates their lack of commitment for the middle-income markets they currently service.

Would you deal with a company like this???

I purchased AEG fridge and vertical freezer the twin doors start getting rust I called the shop to complain about it, after a week a got a call from the after service forming me that I passed the one year warranty by 2 months. Hilarious. I don't recommend the brand buying anything from AEG CHEAP QUALITY AND ONE YEAR WARRANTY IS A JOKE

My washer dryer failed at 15.00 on 20.2.23
I contacted customer services and asked to leave a voice message at 17.00, with a promise of return call within 5 hours the next day. The phone line kept mentioning the website but never said which website.

I received a call at 10.00 on 22.2.23 and was told that they had just started working on voice messages.

I only managed to get any resolution by using online chat. This was slow and initially unresponsive, not even a welcome message!
I was offered an engineer on 28.2.23. For a warranty service this is pathetic

I can only assume that you have a deal going with the phone companies to extract as much money from the subscriber by keeping them on hold. I have tried for ages to speak to a human without success.

Frankly, not only is your customer service non existent, your products purchased by me are sub standard, I have one of your induction hobs that turns itself off without warning and ruins the food....rubbish! and an oven the heats the room faster than the food, as the door seal leaks. Both products are still in warranty.

I have requested a return call from you, but I'm not holding my breath.

Dont waste your time My patience has ran out with these people they have no intentions of answering e mails letters or phone calls I have tried the lot A TOTAL DISGRACE never again will I buy an AEG, ELECROLOX OR JOHN LEWIS OWN BRAND WHICH ARE MADE BY ELECTROLUX

02/12/2022 Purchased an AEG purifier and wished to return it without even opening it. Have not been able to get through to the customer service number or email. Have tried numberous times, leaving messages for call back. Awful, truly awful. Would NEVER purchase from them again.

I ordered a "fixed price repair" for £168. The blurb suggested that if they could not repair it, they would offer a discount on a new one.

Their engineer took a 8 days to arrive, said they needed to check with AEG for the parts, took 10 days to follow up with AEG who confirmed parts were no longer available. NO FIX WAS MADE

Their customer service then called to offer me the a "discount" - which was 10% more expensive than I could find from popular online retailers (including installation, recycling etc). AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Admittedly, the machine turned out to be older (it came with the property when i bought it), but they could have known this from the product ID and declined before stealing my money and wasting 2.5 weeks of my time, and leaving my tenant without a washing machine for the duration!

Purchased a steam bake oven from AEG when we received it we noticed that there was a fault with it they sent out two engineers and we have had now 3 cookers all with the same fault which is a manufacturing one and we are struggling to get this matter sorted out. Last cooker was supposed to come directly from them in fact it was the same cookery sent back to the previous fortnight ago

Worst company in the world, purchase a air conditioning unit on their website and with honey go 200£ of they didn't like that so their refund me without give any expiration or email or any communication why! I send them a customer via their website No answer!!! Useless customer service!!! Do not buy anything from this company not friendly no customer service and do not care about they customer!!! Well done aeg for behind useless!!

Definitely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I am 72 years old.
I have been waiting 5 months for a replacement part which is advertised on AEG website as in stock. Numerous phone calls, numerous emails, numerous promises unfulfilled all attributed to an IT systems problem.
An absolute disgrace.
Be warned if you buy an AEG product just pray it doesn't develop a fault.

Dire customer service .... have you tried getting through to them! I do not wish to hear "push" calls recommending to look at your website for new products when the existing one DOES NOT WORK and YOU do not answer customers - really really bad long wait calls and don't by AEG washer dryers - not fit for purpose. Even engineer things so!

I would not buy AEG. The first one was faulty and the second one broke down after 2 years and 4 months, which is only 4 months after it was out of warrantee (very convenient for AEG). I think the company and its engineering has gone down the drain and is no longer should be considered as a German built product. Very upset with them that is paying £600 for only two years use. The oven's controls are not intuitive and the default settings are not customisable. Last time I buy anything from AEG.

Awful customer service, impossible to reach and totally ineffective if you get lucky. I have spent hours on the phone, sent multiple emails, stayed in for 6 engineer visits, still not fixed the problem after 4 months and now they are just totally ignoring my messages. Absolute joke of a company.

After a protracted wait and having spoken to a robot for some time, I was eventually put through to a lady named Sheena. She tried to be helpful even suggesting that where I had turned my gas hob on and off, several times for between 1 and 10 minutes , I should have done this for 15 minutes. Just checked my service manual and this time limit is not mentioned anywhere in the manual. Before I had a chance to speak any longer I was cut off. A bit of an insult having waited for a long time just to talk to someone human. Anyway Sheena, 15minutes didn't work either so suggest you report this back to your manual writer . In the meantime I just wondered how I now book a service without having to speak to a robot, please ? Any ideas ?

Never ever using AEG!Your representatives (miniline) in Israel provide the worst service We bought wash machine at 08.03.2021 and can not use it yet.My husband with 100 % disability , he needs wash machine.The firt time we were recevied with big defect in the door . For more than aweek they Miniline did not want to collect the defective product .
After all we received the new one and we have been waiting for technician for more than a week to open the new macine but it was deffective again . It is at the living room and nobody want to collect it and return our paymant .

4 engineer visits so far and our cooker still doesn't work. Almost every part replacement. Initial fault has commuted to blowing the trip switch. 5th visit booked for this one fault call (we've had 8 engineer visits for this cooker during it's lifetime, the first 4 were for a different fault). Never buying AEG again. Customer service is terrible. Can't speak to technical team. Even service engineers can't speak to technical team unless they are on site, but often they aren't available to speak to when the engineer is here. So a re-visit has to be booked.

Never ever using aeg again. Customer service is non existent. Service force Nuneaton awful.first appt dishwasher broke again within a week. Two further appointments not attended. Wasted so much time dealing with a dishwasher that is just a year old under warranty. Quicker to go and buy a new one and definitely NOT AEG. You can't even speak to a customer service assistant at AEG. I've also completed a feedback survey asking for someone to contact. Once again no response

I am currently trying to contact customer services regarding a washing machine which is currently under warranty however I have logged my request for an engineer and looked a job number seven days ago I have had no response.I have called all the numbers for service and used them online and get directed and get told that the service centre no longer deal with AEG products can anyone help me as I want an engineer to fix my machine . I thought I bought a quality product with quality service but clearly that is not the case .

Customer service non-existent. Dishwasher and microwave not working properly and we have had them just over 3 years. The attitude of person who was arranging for engineer to call was you haven't got an extended warranty so either pay for call out or go away. Very professional

Purchased AEG gas hob from WADS Southampton on 24.4.19. Registered it with you for warranty. Plumber fitted and discovered 2 gas burners were emitting gas when switched off. Contacted WADS, still nothing . I have been without cooking facilities for over a week. I have recently spent £3000 on AEG 7units. Can someone please do something. This is less than 4 weeks old and i require an immediate replacement. Please contact me with some constructive arrangement. I have been in contact with Consumer Rights and this situation is nit acceptable.
