I placed a pick up order for two planters that finally went on sale. I was told I would receive a message for pick up when it was ready. I received a message that there was a problem with my payment and call the 800 number to clarify the number. I called and the representative said there was no issue with my payment and the order was just out of stock at my location and they would ship it instead. Over a week goes by and I contact the representative again. They said this time the order was on back order and they would ship once in stock. I receive another email stating there was a problem with my payment again and I called the 800 number again and they said there was no problem. I get an email today stating my order was cancelled due to payment issue. I contacted the representative and they said it was canceled and cannot be undone and to call the store to see what happened. When I went online to buy again the store and warehouse were both out. It would not allow me to enter my email address to notify me when it would be back in stock. I looked up another location and they had 3 in stock but now it just freezes and will not allow me to purchase.

The World Market Co. is a scam with their affiliation with Bed Bath and Beyond going out of business. The gift card that has their name on the back and states that they can be used is a lie. Additionally, the card sates never a fee and never expires. The company office was contacted, and the manager stated the card was no good and that there was nothing he could do. What the hell is he the manager of if he can't do anything about this false advertisement? He hid behind a poor business plan with Bed Bath and Beyond. I imagine that their business will be next to go bankrupt

I give my experience a 0 out of 10
I was followed through the store on Broadway Tucson az. While my whole shopping experience. I had bags from a shop I went to before. I don't have a car so I had to bring in my bags if the employees were worried they could of ask me to leave my bags up front which I have no problems with. She was following me like two feet away then stood at the register. She was snarky . My advice to her be careful who you follow you might meet the wrong one .

I fell in Love with World Market in Santa Barbara. Been a faithful customer for more than 12 yrs.
NOT no more.
Worst customer service ever. Can't get my order, can't get a response. Will Trying doing a charge back for this insanity. $107 order. 16 days and not tracking. Due at the house 6 days ago. NO tracking information. Sent an email Jan 5th. Automated response, "expect a response to you shortly" 6 days later no response.
NOw it is 7 days since the order should have been here, still no response, no order and no tracking number
Who ever the CEO is, is looking to save on taxes by running World Market into the ground. A bunch of fat cats buy World Market from Bed Bath Beyond when customer service was customer service and now these fat egotistical fat cats have nothing better to do then ruin a business and add more anger and frustration to the world as we try and find a live person to help get an order. Well done Fat Lazy, perimysium's. You might have a lot of money but you're still bottom feeders.
Doing a Charge back and will pray for the employees at World Market when it crashes, they will find good jobs and loose little in the interim.

I have a world market store near so asked my husband to take my return there. I am physically unable so appreciate his help. Got a call from him from the WM store. The customer service desk wanted to know what credit card I had used to make the purchase. Why? They had all the paperwork. Long story short. The package came home and will be sent back via the shipping method originally used. In the future, I will be very careful not to buy anything from WM that I might need to return!

On October 26th I placed a pick up order at the Chesterfield Missouri location for three of the Woodcut items. They were in stock and I would get a message when I could pick up. Later on that day I received a cancellation on my order. I called the store and John answered he said yes my ordered was cancelled because they did have the product but they were a part of the the 10 pallets in the back to be unloaded and didn't know when that would be, call back in a couple of days. I asked if he would take my name and number to call me when he did unpack them and I could then drive over and purchase. He said no they were very popular and he could not hold them. I said you are showing you have them in the store to purchase on line, and he said that is because they are part of the shipment in the back, to me this didn't make any sense. I called back on October 27th and John answered and again he said no they had not unpacked the items I was wanting to purchase. To let you know John has the personally of a piece of cardboard and I being nice!! So, I live in St. Charles Missouri and Chesterfield is about 15-20 minutes from my house; there is also a store in Brentwood which is about 25-30 from my house and I called because I knew John was a hopeless cause.... A lady answered the phone who was very upbeat, professional, courteous and I asked if they had the wood cut items I was looking for and she said yes, all three. I was so happy! She said I can hold them for 48 hours and took my name and number. She made my day, I will be picking up today (October 28th) I did call John back and mentioned to him that he needs to step up his game, he had so many excuses as to why the product wasn't out. Brentwood gets 5 stars - Chesterfield not even 1 Very Poor Customer Service

I have called a number of times about SKU 544550 however every time I call or check online I'm unable to make a purchase of this item since march of 2020 this item has been out of stock, yet has been on sale for at least 2 or 3 times. I have sent a number of emails but no response along with phone calls to agents with no help but responses of "check back in a few months" or "it will be on sale soon." Yet today I modify my zip code and found a location of 5954 Kingstowne Town Center in Alexandria VA, 22315 spoke an associate Josh that informed me that a total of 3 are available, but currently cant't ship to my state of DE due to Covid-19 it was something they use to do but aren't able to. Then I contact the number of the website of WorldMarket and spoke to a agent named Teresa today and told me that two supervisors and can't authorize the store to ship and item they have to me when its clearly available what kind of business is that.

it has been impossible to reach anyone or get any response on line regarding an order that has not been delivered. I have remained on hold more an hour twice and emailed customer service more than 6 times. My frustration with the lack of service is immense! Charged hundreds of dollars and still haven't received order. I've been waiting and trying to get a resolution since April!

Don't mail order from World Market, they're the worst. After order is submitted, it's not allowed to be cancelled even if their shipping is delayed for weeks. Then they deliver a table with large and unsightly manufacturing defects, but you're unable to reach customer service either on their toll-free phone or online.

So frustrating and so annoying as much as I love shopping at World Market I received a woven basket as a gift on feb 14th. Individual paid cash tried to take the basket back it didn't work for my decor and I did not have a receipt not trying to get a refund. Mind that just store credit and the lady that helped me stated they would issue me a "store credit" then the manager came and said I can only give you $0 that's what it's coming up in our system when they clearly have the item in stock purchased at 39.99. I will call corporate on Monday this is horrible customer service!
Never experienced this at any other retail store ever!

Took Tilting outdoor umbrella frame and pole to store for refund.
Person at counter could not get SKU number to take and told me to return by mail.
Then told me to call Customer Service to get address and shipping label.
Called Customer Service and was told there was no reason the store would not issue the refund because
the SKU number was correct.
They told me they would email me a FedEx shipping label but that was 4 days ago and I still have not received.
I am on hold and no one is answering Customer Service for me to inquire about the shipping label and to get the address so I can return.
Very frustrating. Will never order anything on line from World Market EVER again nor will I go back into their store just because of the treatment I have received over this one item.

One buffet was shipped in and one of its metal leg was dammaged. Two guys run away even before I found out. I did not bother to call the store and thought will not buy anything again from it.

Spent over $400 online for two bar stools. One came damaged. I have tried for over a week to get someone to call me back to schedule a pick up to get a refund. The customer service is horrible . I've called about 30 times and my situation is still the same. I'm stuck with a $400 charge on my credit card and damaged merchandise . Do not shop at this place, they rip you off.

Tried to return towels bought the day before with original receipt and tags. Did not have credit card used to purchase on hand, so they refused to accept return, even for store credit.

I bought two dresses and decided to return them past the 60 days. I had original receipt but no tags on the clothing. Clothes were not worn only tried on at home but when I went to the store to return them the clerk stated they were not able to help me with the return. Because the tags were missing. I disagreed with her because no where on the receipt does it state the clothing must have tags attached. I had the receipt and she still refused. Is that correct?

We bought 10 bottles of wine but we find better wine right next door at Total Wine.
We went back to world market to return these bottles within 1/2 hour but the casher refused to refund it and called the manager. The manager told us that it is California law not to accept wine to return. Is it true? Other stores accept returns like Costco and Walmart but not World Market???

I tried to as instructed but my smart phone will not write that number --it automatically inserts a - and thus i cannot get your special discount coupons on my smart phone-- i have missed out on a number of these price reductions due to this--please advise

The store died any allow returns on framed art?! Really? Like it's used up or what? Does y s tone ever take art home to look at it and decide its nit the right item? Zero refunds or store credit according to my store. That's a deal beaker for me. Poor poor service

The customer service at the Teecula Ca. Store is horrible! I waited 15 min to see if two items were in stock only to be told they had not looked for either one of them. Then I was told that one was not in stock. Then I asked about the second item and they had not looked for it so after 10 minutes more I was told they did not carry it at this store. Both items were on display on the floor. I was told that I could not order or get a rain check for one item and that for the other item ,the 50 percent item would not apply. I left feeling very angry Ann unappreciated! I don't plan to return to the Temecula Ca. Store, the are very rude and uncaring! The 50 dollar discount would not be available.

Go to their stores for advertised goods and 100% (so far) of the time they not only don't have it, they don't know that it's advertised. They COULD learn about their ads and merchandise instead of standing around talking to each other during the day. (when store is not busy at all)

The customer service at Northbrook,Il was over and above. The girl supervisor (Lynn) was wonderful. She took her time with me helping me pick out chairs for my mother. She was vey knowledgeable about the products. It was a pleasure. I would come back to this store just for her help again. Refreshing, you do not get this kind of personal help in most stores!
