I have been with State Farm Ins for over ten years and I was involved in an auto accident Dec.9,2010,and contacted my agent Marie Kerlin in Princeton that same day.
I would like to praise everyone connected with State Farm as they were so courteous and caring and made a difficult time very easy.
They were all concerned first about my well being and then proceeded to process my claim and get me back to where I was before the accident.
From the first contact at Marie's office until the reolution they went above and beyond they are all to be commended as to their professionalism and compassion in a very difficult time,I was made to feel like I really mattered with each contact that I had made.
I wish I knew all the people that processed my claim to thank them on an individual basis however I do not so I will say thank you to all and hope that they are recognized for a job well done and my compliments to a company that really stands by their words.

I think the thing that often gets overlooked when trying to reach a person in the 24 hour service at a toll free number is the idea that State Farm still relies heavily on an agent-to-customer relationship. It's very easy to just call an Agent's office listen to the prompts and get connected to the 24 hour service.

I have a great relationship with my Agent and I find comfort in the fact that if I have an emergency like an accident, flat tire, or anything causing damage to my home I can get a hold of a real person to get the assistance I need.

There may be a few questions that can't get answered by the after hours service, but they can always get a message to the person that CAN get me the answers I need.

All in all I've had a great experience with the Customer Service line with State Farm.

Thanks for posting this number though!

We were a customer with state farm for years. Trusting their service and trusting we were getting a very competitive rate. In those years they never offer not even a candy. Here is why we went with another company. We were insuring two vehicles for over two years. One of the vehicles went down with a bad engine sitting in a mechanics bay for months. The very first day the car was diagnosed, we called state farm to inform that the car was inoperable and to take it off the policy (to save money (why pay the second premium on a car with a bad head gasket which i knew it was not being driven nor repaired for a couple of months). State farm requested the miles of the vehicle to make a note on the file as of why was being pulled from the policy. The miles were provided and supposedly they took it off the policy. The following months they kept billing us for the two cars which was not fair in my belief. I did my research, not to mention my experience in the automotive industry with other insurance carriers and i found out they were supposed to honor my request to remove the vehicle. They kept billing us for both cars. Not only that. On the one vehicle we kept in the policy, I decided to shop around and compare prices only to find out i was being overcharged more than $70.00 dollars a month for the one vehicle. Like a good neighboor State Farm is there to ripp you off. The comparison I did was using a declaration page from state farm so I can say it was apples to apples. same coverage for 70 dollars less a month. I had just made my payment 2 days before my comparison and decided to call state farm and cancel my policy. They said they will send a check for the non use of premium let me explain. My payments were made in advance on the 28th of every month. I made a pmt on the 28 and on the 1st of following month cancelled policy. they had more that 26 days of premium of my money, called the agent and he stated that state far will issue a check for non use of premium due to my cancellation. Finally the check arrived to my surprise it was a five dollar check. Yes $5.00 check. Then I called back and they treated me like i was not a customer anymore. Very different than the very first time we met. So, please if you are considering obtaining insurance, please stay away from

I felt great sympathy for all the angry people/miserable experiences I read about in the "Comments" on this site. There was only one positive comment in all of those I read, and I feel driven to add another. I've had State Farm auto insurance for years and years (I've forgotten just how many), and every experience with every person I've ever encountered has been positive, professional, and reassuring (even in the cases of auto accidents when I was at fault), and more than I could ask for, starting with my agent and his staff and ending with the State Farm team I worked with. There hasn't been one rude person or anyone who's let me down. There are many incompetent employees and frustrating situations in this aggravating modern world of ours. I've had my share of those and then some, just like everyone I know, but State Farm has always been helpful and nonjudgmental. I think they're probably more expensive than many other companies, but they're worth it for the excellent service they provide. And no, neither I nor anyone I know works for them, so this isn't a sales pitch of any kind. It's simply that when things go wrong, we can usually find our words, but when they go right we often get too busy or forget to express our appreciation. The encounter I had today with a State Farm customer service representative gives me a chance to say THANK YOU for your excellent service today, and over the years.

I have had State Farm for over 30 years. I have lived in 4 States and State Farm went with me all the way. They go far beyond customer service they treat you like family. My guy Weston in Springfield, Mo has taken so good care of me and my family. When I see the commercials about saving you money I just smile and no State farm is #1 in my book.

My husband and I have been with State Farm for over 10 yrs and have never had any problems with the staff or coverage of this company. Our agent is available to us anytime of the day and if she's not there she returns our call as soon as she can or a co-worker calls us right back to help us. We live in a suburb of Chicago Illinois so maybe people are just more professional and responsive in this area of the country. We love this company and would never think of switching to anyone else.

I just decided to check rates and State Farm had better rates than my previous insurer so I stopped by a body shop that is run by a long time friend and asked him which insurance company was the best one to work with in his opinion and he said that State Farm is the easiest one to deal with for him.

I found the local agent and his people to be very easy to deal with and they went out of their way to make sure that they had answered all of my questions. Bottom line is that they now have our car and home policy and I have almost 500 bucks to spend in a year.

I have always had a good experience with my local State Farm agent. I have never had a major claim (although I have done about 5 tow reimbursements), but have had many changes over the last 20 years, and tey've handled those just fine. They always answer on the first ring and have never needed to transfer me.
