I spent 2.5 hrs on hold with the customer service department and still did not get to talk to anyone. I tried a live chat and quickly found that I was talking to a computer. This company SUCKS.

Do NOT buy anything from Kitchenaid !!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
It's 4 weeks already I still don't have my refund !!!!

The Kitchenaid hand can openers used to be the best now they've added a bottle opener on the end because they think everybody's a Beer Drinker and all that stupid bottle opener does is get in the way and not get used. When you have a quality product stick with it and quit trying to cater to the beer drinkers of all things that has nothing to do with a can opener

Don't buy this brand
I have been on hold 2 times today trying to schedule a service call for a $3000 refrigerator I bought 3 days ago and been listening to their ads totally 2.2 hours
These people don't even provide service call registration for their substandard expensive products
Nebraska F Mart sold me it, delivered yesterday says they are not technicians

If you buy their products you are on your own
No support

Kitchen Aid 5 drawer refrigerator is an overpriced useless item. 3 years old, numerous repair calls, kept shutting down and we had to keep unplugging to reboot. It went out while we were on vacation and everything rotted. Smell so bad we had to replace. Kitchen Aid only offered 20% off on a new one. We got a traditional french door which by the way has a lot more room inside. Guess we'll find out if it's a lemon too.

We purchased a kitchenaid fridge in 2018... I have sent emails along with pictures of the door panel exterior stainless steel corrosion...three times, no response... I did initially call and they said they could send out a certified service provider for 149.00, however, I opted out of that because I'm sure they would just tell me that it's not covered under warranty...which I do t want to pay, since we already paid so much for the fridge ....we believe that the damage is faulty stainless steel and manufacturing process...I just got off the phone with customer service, they offered a 40% off of a new fridge!!! Ask yourself, would you replace a fridge that is only 4 years old????? After spending 2k on the original one...

KitchenAid has the worst possible customer service when dealing direct with the company. Placed an order for a mixer showing stock Black Friday. They called days later to move actual delivery to us to 12/14. We agreed. Followed up Sunday 12/11. Sat on hold forever and finally scheduled a call back to me Monday 12/12. No call. Checked order today and it moved delivery to 12/22. Held forever on phone then got told I had to wait to transfer to Kitchenaid - one number for all of Whirlpool! Customer service and her supervisor had no way at all of contacting warehouse to try to do anything about shipment. They are worthless to deal with. Do not trust! Deal with a local retailer!!! Couldn't cancel either. Had to accept and return because they couldn't tell anyone to cancel either!!

I recently ordered and received a Kitchnaid Blender which I am giving as a gift. I paid extra to have the appliance gift wrapped. When the box arrived this past Saturday, it was in a brown carton with big black lettering identifying it as coming from Kitchenaid and further identifying that it was a blender, which totally ruined the surprise. Also, I think if you are going to ship item sin boxes identifying what is inside you are asking for the box to be stolen off the porch when the recipient is not home. I think you should keep these things in mind when an order is requested to be gift wrapped. I was very disappointed.

My KitchenAid dishwasher is the most expensive one I ever owned. It's also the one I had the most issues with. First there was a recall, and they had to come out and replace the heating element.
Then, I believe it was just about the time the warranty expired, the pump gave out. I actually had issues on and off with it before that....my bad for not getting it fixed sooner.
I thought I would ask them if they could see their way to covering PART of the cost. Not all of it, just part.
I had e-mail conversations with Jennifer at customer service. First they offered me 40% off a new appliance. With conditions of course. I replied I don't want a new one... just want mine fixed.
She replied that, because of the age of the DW, they couldn't do anything. So apparently they consider >4 years to be "old". Amazing, since my less expensive ones lasted 10+ years without issues.

If you can't keep up with demand you need to let your suppliers know! This is ridiculous buying appliance sets and pieces not being available for over a year!! Be upfront because I'll never recommend kitchenaid to anyone. These wait times are more than any other brand! Please figure it out asap!!

I do not leave reviews often, especially bad reviews. But this is the the absolute worst experience. If I wasn't so disappointed it would be comical at this point. I bought a whole appliance set, but after 3 uses my dishwasher stopped working.

It's been broken for 17 weeks. I've been on the phone (or on hold) with customer service for over 12 hours.

I've taken time off work only to find out that I'm not on the schedule for service on a certain day.

There is an escalation process and deadlines internally to KitchenAid. If they can't locate parts in time, it triggers a replacement for the customer. They have failed to escalate multiple times and despite that, they refuse to replace my appliance.

I still have zero understanding of when my dishwasher will be fixed.

I have bought the mixer 18 months ago and I have used it for less than 20 times, and suddenly, it stopped working 2 weeks ago. When I called the customer service, they said that I have to book my own technician or they can give me 50 $ discount to buy a new one. Do you think i will trust buying Kitchen Aid products anymore! What an unreliable machine and bad customer service experience! I'm very disappointed, especially that I just bought the new ceramic bowl.

Had a brand new Kitchen Aide dishwasher installed after a 4 month delay in our remodel to find out that the stainless steel tank leaked on both sides - clearly a MANUFACTURER DEFECT.
KITCHEN AIDE refuses to replace the dishwasher! They say it can be fixed by replacing the tank - that is the dishwasher.
This was their answer "Having some service tech come in and take the ENTIRE dishwasher apart to replace the tank."
DO you really think this dishwasher by taking every piece apart is going to work??

KITCHEN AIDE service is the WORST and BIG GEORGE'S APPLIANCES in Ann Arbor Michigan is no help at all.
We paid for a NEW working dishwasher without problems and that's what we should be entitled to.

We are ready to take the dishwasher and return it to Big George's and go elsewhere to buy the GE Cafe which we should have done as it was less expensive and we have had experience with their service which was easy to reach, prompt and competent.
Big George's Appliance was if no help in this matter.

Installed a new Kitchenaid KDFE204KPS and it won't fill with water, it just pumps out and beeps clean. Spent and hour trying to talk to Kitchenaid customer service, transferred me to parts and got disconnected. Lowes said it will replace it, but I had them trade me to a Maytag. Hopefully this one will work. I don't trust these Kitchenaid as I see many similar problems. I think they have multiple issues and don't test their dishwashers.

I purchased 2 KitchenAid dishwashers in July 2022 from Lowes. They are both 39-Dba, model # KDFE204KPS. Paid for installation and purchased the extended warranty. The dishwasher in the upstairs kitchen was installed and works perfectly.
The dishwasher for the downstairs kitchen has been a nightmare. The installer postponed the installation because they had a scheduled vacation. The new installation date was 30+ days after the purchase from Lowes. The installer installed the second dishwasher and said it was good to go. Started the first cycle and it had an immediate error with 3 minutes after it was started. Made several more attempts to use it and the same error occurred each time. Called the installer and he said I had to call Lowes. Lowes said it was 30 days past the purchase and that I would have to call KitchenAid. I called Kitchen and they scheduled a service call. Service came and said it needs a new motor that he will need to order. I said I wanted the dishwasher replaced because I spent $1,555.45 per each of the dishwashers. I paid for a new working dishwasher not a refurbished unit. My aggravation and dissatisfaction fell on deaf ears with Lowes and KitchenAid. This is very poor customer service. Both companies could have cared less about my complaint. I've been a KitchenAid fan for years but no more. If the dishwasher is not replaced, I will no longer purchase their appliances and will share my story with anyone looking for new appliances. I will leave this rating on Lowes site also. Been trying to find a place in KitchenAid's website where I can leave a review but I believe that must have the rating section well hid. I plan to leave both companies a rating of 1. Horrible customer service!!!

I called to report a faulty attachment blade to my spiralizer ( the apple peeler blade) and was told the only option available to me was to buy the entire spiralizer set at a 15% discount . Not helpful at all. I explained to the rep that I read online that one model year this attachment was faulty and a customer had it replaced by Kitchen Aid free of charge. The rep told me " sorry I wouldn't know anything about that"! In total this was a very satisfactory experience with Kitchen Aid!

I purchased two of your kitchen aid mixers from Walmart for my mother. These were gifts meant for her to do cakes and make it easier on her. At 380.00 each u think that they would last longer than 30 days. However this wasn't the case. My mother had the receipts and things but of course lost them. When we took them back in Walmart and had the card of payment they wouldn't do anything. Bad business. Almost everything in my kitchen is kitchen aid and I am so disappointed in the company

Kitchenaid service sucks! For the amount of money we paid for our new refrigerator, you would think they would at least have good customer service. Made an appointment for them to look at our broken freezer pull out drawer and they say they didn't make the appointment. After taking a day off of work to make sure I was there, they cancel and say the appointment wasn't made. Such bull! Their customer service is the worst!

Shockingly unprofessional customer service. Unwilling to search for a solution. Not listening but interrupting simply rude. As the Regional Head of Education for a large tech company I can say that a call with Kitchenaid will ruin your day.

Only four years ago, we purchased KitchenAid's 5 door refrigerator (KRMF706ESS) and spent roughly $3,500. We thought we were purchasing a top-of-the-line appliance from a top-of-the-line company. We were unfortunately wrong on both counts. Our refrigerator has not worked since June and, after jumping through the hoops KitchenAid uses as a stalling tactic, we are no closer to having a working refrigerator. KitchenAid tells us only that our refrigerator is beyond its 1-year warranty and that they don't know when they'll have the part we need.
There are clear design flaws in this model, evidenced by the number of 1-star reviews on Kitchen Aid's website, all showing the same problems. Our problems began with the "open door" alarm sounding with no door open. The inside lights had stopped working, along with the water/ice dispenser and almost all functions on the two control panels. We got a tech in and he told us that the panel in the lower left drawer had shorted out due to water getting in it. It is directly below the water dispenser and ice maker, so any spills or leaks will short the panel, which is not gasketed or protected in any way. The tech replaced the panel and wire harness (which was corroded). It cost $350 just for parts plus charge for the service call. This did not fix the problem. The tech said there's other wiring inside the drawer that couldn't be accessed. As a result, he would need to replace the whole drawer, costing us another $600+. So now, 4 years after purchasing this already expensive refrigerator, we're going to be spending another $1,000 minimum! Meanwhile, the temperature started climbing. It ranges between 42 and 45 degrees - too warm to preserve food. The icemaker is also above freezing, so we had to empty it, as it began to leak and form a puddle on the brand new control unit. The freezer is just above freezing, so we had to move our food out of it. Of course, we can't adjust the temperature because the control panel doesn't work. The tech said this may or may not be part of the original problem, and he won't be able to tell until he replaces the drawer. So, we might wait months or even a year for the drawer, only to find there are more problems, and then maybe wait more months for more parts. And, finally, another even newer problem - the refrigerator is making so much noise it sounds like a helicopter ready to take off.
Aside from all the difficulty in getting replacement parts in an expedient manner, as well as KitchenAid's inability to say when they can have the first part we need, the fact that the control panel is right below potential leaks and spills while not waterproofed in any way is an incredibly bad design. It's especially unbelievable given the number of reviews that talk about the ice maker leaking. We have a minimum of $1000 in repairs on an expensive refrigerator that's only 4 years old and the cost could climb even higher, given the newer problems with temperature and noise. We loved this refrigerator... while it was working, which probably accounts for some of the good reviews. But it's a disaster waiting to happen, and when it happens, it's bad. And, worst of all, you can no longer count on KitchenAid to stand behind their very expensive products. Let this be a warning. DON'T BUY KITCHENAID!

Addendum, several weeks later: Still nothing from KitchenAid. KitchenAid's stock response... which they laughingly title "Social Care"... is: "...thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for the concerns with your appliance and would like to review this further for you. Please reach out to us via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/KitchenAid or Twitter @KitchenAidCare. We look forward to speaking with you."
Seriously? Facebook? Twitter? Aren't you already talking to us on your review page? So OK... we contacted them on Facebook, posting this review which has all the info. Their response was to tell us the exact date we purchased our refrigerator (thanks, we knew that), that it is out of warranty (thanks, we knew that too), and to ask for the part number which you would think they'd know, since they knew everything else about our appliance and what specifically is broken. We provided that. Their response was "We understand your frustrations completely. However, due to the pandemic, we do have some unanticipated plant closures and production delays. We are currently working around the clock to fulfill orders, while also keeping in mind the health and safety of our employees. Unfortunately, this means that we do not have any further updates to share. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you." OK, great. What about your defective product? What about your poor design? What about the fact that after we pay to have all this work done, your ice makers leak, the control panel is right below it, not protected in any way, and it will short out again. Is that the fault of covid?
The bottom line is... KitchenAid is taking no responsibility for their product, the issues getting parts may or may not have anything to do with Covid, and... their mode of communication stinks.

My husband was given a kitchen aid mixer from a lady he is doing a remodel for and when he brought it home we found the attachment was stuck. When I called for a repair, Megan insinuated that it was stolen and refused to process a service call for me. Absolutely ridiculous!

Terrible customer service! Refrigerator lights keep failing, despite the manual stating the lights wii never need replacing! KitchenAid deserves the horrible customer service ratings. DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS and expect quality products that are by even worse customer service!!!
