FedEx on-line customer service is the worst I have experienced in a very long time. First the automated system doesn't always have the option you need and then does not provide you with the alternative to speak to a live person. I had a package being delivered, I was not home to receive it and the automated system did not give me the option to pick another delivery date. It was only after calling the automated system multiple times did I figure out you have to say customer service a million times that it would switch you to a live person. That is when my frustration really began. The customer service rep said that she would reschedule my delivery to a Saturday. I stayed home all Saturday for the delivery, but it never came. Call customer service on Sunday, was told "oh, this package can only be delivered Monday to Friday. I then ask for it to be held at my local FedEx site. They said it would be shipped there for me between Monday and Tuesday and I would get a notice. Never got a notice. I called customer service and was told that the package had been shipped back to the sender. At this point I was done, I asked to speak to their manager in the corporate head quarters. They transferred me to an Administrative Assistant in Huston, who had nothing to do with Customer Service. Apparently, there is no live person who leads the whole national Customer Service. No company is too big to fail and the best way to fail as a company starts with bad customer service. FedEx is on that path.
