I placed 300.00 in two orders with Etsy for Christmas mo confirmation not on my Etsy screen. Can't reach cs. The man I did speak to was from another country and wanted access to my phone. I ordered from Etsy to support individual business but you are not helping me at a critical time in my gift giving. If I don't here from you by noon. I will order from Amazon and send gift back to you

All links to get help with an order are broken. I found references to the same issue going back at least two years in the Etsy community threads. That's too long for a technical issue to be unresolved. It's obviously done on purpose.

I have no problem with the seller or the product I ordered or anything like that. My issue is with the security of my data! My email was hacked and any email contact that I had with any business over a decade ago was sending me spoofed spam email with the likeness of said businesses. The difference with the other spoofed spam email from other business I did trade with are several. First contacting Etsy requriers I log in to an account,the others don't!The other site's spoofed came after decades since any contact on my or their part, Etsy started right away! Rather than have any contact with Etsy or their asinine policies or procedures, I decided to vent my disappointment here with probably better results.

Support is an extreme miscalculation. I'd call it Etsy Ignores

They seriously never get back to you in a timely manner and they're never helpful. it's incredibly frustrating to try and get help from Etsy Support because their team hardly exists!

You can't appeal things when they've made a mistake, you can't talk live to a support team member! You can't even expect an email back within 5 days! It's frustrating when things go wrong on Etsy.

I really hope someone puts out a comparable service and learns from Etsy! AKA HAVE A REAL SUPPORT TEAM!

ETSY is the worst marketplace I ever encountered. I bought from different shop at once and they charged me. I have to wait for almost 4 days (96 hours) and then boom! They canceled my order and suspended my account and I don't the reason. I can't get into their customer support!

I ordered two decorative pillow covers, both of which had several photos emphasizing the patterns and colors. I understand that with kanthas, the patterns and colors may differ slightly. But the pillow cover I received bore no resemblance to the one advertised. In order to replace it or return and receive a refund, Etsy requires that I upload a photo of the advertised product and upload a photo of the product I received. I am 82 and don't have the knowledge, the equipment, or the time to do this. I believe Etsy counts on people like me to just let it go - perhaps that's where their profit margin comes from.I have messaged online but am not hopeful for customer service help. Lesson learned!

I purchased 2 memorial gifts in remembrance of my mom. One was a wind chime and one was a sign. The wind chime was half the size as the one I received as a gift from Amazon! It was the same price! The faith quote sign was as thin as a piece of construction paper. Very cheap looking. I contacted the seller sent pictures explained my situation and I was told they were surprised and then ignored. I opened a case sent pictures explained it all over again regarding the quality and they just said thank you for going through all of these steps to contact me but it's been reviewed by a "specialist " (who took less than a minute) to say everything looks ok basically case closed. It's just to hit or mess mainly a mess when ordering from Etsy and the customer service is absolutely horrid and awful! Everyone needs to do themselves a favor and just order from Amazon, where the customer service is exceptional and you were treated with respect and gratitude for being a customer or prime member

Buyer has shipped an item that does not meet the item description and item was damaged on the transit. Seller refused to issue me a full refund so I had to open a case with Etsy support. Etsy support also refused to help me and the case got closed. No matter how many times I call them, they don't bother to explain the reason of their actions and simply tells me there is nothing they can do about it. Please just shop from Amazon. I used to love supporting small businesses on Etsy but I rather shop on Amazon where buyer protection is prioritized

I paid $35 for an Elberta Peach tree. It was less than half the size as described. I followed the instructions very carefully. After one month, there was absolutely no sign of growth. I kept it protected and made sure the soil was moist. I called and expressed my concerns to GreenThumbsGarden. They put me off, saying to be patient, that it would grow. A month later I expressed my concerns again to GreenThumbsGarden, because it was showing no sign of growing. This spring, it did not bud at all. Further examination proved it had died. I feel ripped off! Now that the tree has died, they say I did not complain within the Etsy 100-day window. I believe GreenThumbsGarden put me off deliberately so the 100-day window would expire. Now they claim they cannot help me! Niether GreenThumbsGarden nor Etsy stand behind the products they sell. Their customer service is abysmal!

Etsy is the worst place to sell your products.
Always suspend the shops with no reason and no warning.
You have to wait 14 days to have an answer.
Always they answer with automate e mail .
Worst place ever .
Sell somewhere else.

I had a simple banking question last week, and contacted Etsy to help me. They have locked me out of my account so that now my shop and all of my money are completely unavailable to me, and I have only gotten automated generic responses for a week. This should have been taken care of with one phone call. Reading other people's stories, I am starting to despair and feel like this might be the end of my business. How can they do this? Is this legal? I have no recourse and feel helpless. What a horrific experience.

STAY AWAY, as far away as you can, from this company! Heed my warning as you will only find out that they do not treat their sellers well until it's too late. They have a bait-and-switch setup right off the bat that you won't see until your volume goes up, because THEY KNOW once your volume is up and you have the ball-and-chain of lots of good reviews around your ankle then you won't leave. They don't force you to advertise until you start making $10K a year in sales. After that, they stiff you really bad with forced advertisement fees and choke you out! And that's just the beginning!! They only respect their policies when it fits them. They will ban you from their community comments if you as much as say something they don't like and give you a lame excuse that you "violated their rules" in a very bogus way - their twisted interpretations of things that benefit them. Their customer service is pretty much non-existent and they don't have a decent way to address problems (only ask me what I want to hear, and nothing else). They keep their hands off to save money and you end up hung out to dry a lot. Their dispute resolution is the biggest joke on the planet. THEY DON'T CARE. From what I've seen, they likely pay more people to make sure you don't say anything bad about them inside their own comment boards than they pay to HELP WITH YOU WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS. Even their survey requests on how they are doing are pretty much a "Tell me how great we are!" type of setup. And if you question anything, you get the attitude to show up: "It's our site, we can do whatever we want, so screw you and go back to making money for us!" It's no surprise that there is an Etsy seller union in the works. I hope that union can make a difference, because this is one ***tty company! And they raise their fees CONSTANTLY as a cherry on that CF cake! CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED.

I purchased a print from Etsy and it was damage during shipping. I tried to return it to Etsy but was I passed to the supplier canvas expo. Canvas expo wanted me to ship the print to India at my expense.
Which would've been outrageous since the print was 70" x 40" and the purchase price was $516. shipping I'm just guessing would've been $200 or $300. Canvas expo refuses to help. I am very disappointed in.Etsy they've left me out to dry, so I'm not going to put any more money into this criminal enterprise called Canvas expo. So this is mine last dealing with.Etsy since they offer no support at all buyer beware. This is why I always try to buy through Amazon. They do not trick you sending something back is easy and you don't have to send it to India. So.Etsy get zero stars from me no customer helping at all. Do not buy anything from them. Etsy needs to make themselves more readily available. Contacting other family members for verification is unacceptable. Freezing up said family members accounts cuz of stupidity is unacceptable. Your money is now in someone else's account frozen up. I personally will never buy from Betsy again.

I've been on Etsy for 5 years. If it was alternative site, I would leave right after this review. I make handmade, Ebay is not good for that, I have a website, but low sales. It feels like a hostage. Overall review, TERRIBLE! No phone support, really?! They force you to advertise and take your money. One of my items sells every day, I don't need their advertisement, it sells anyway and they charge for it. I am not talking about Etsy Adds, it's google adds. Another thing, I had a case against me, which was closed in my favor by Etsy's agent. Buyer sent offensive messages and descriminated me based on my origins, I complaint about 10 times, they did nothing. They reopened my won case and they closed it in buyers favor. This is outrageous. It happened about 2 years ago, I still have a pain and bring a tears to my eyes. I feel helpless! They removed my listing 2 days ago because it has an amber set into my enamel piece. They didn't even explain why, they said my listing violates their policy, my son found it on Google, that recently they had case opened against them. They reactivated my listing yesterday, I was happy. Today it's deactivated again, same email. I wish something could be done to punish them for so many things! I wish it was another site who would truly sell handmade, like they were once before. No competition for them sadly!

I had an Etsy shop. I had a no return policy, but would consider a dialog if I had made a mistake, sent the wrong item in error, or if the customer had a similar issue. I sold vintage items. Each listing explained that old items are not new items. Certain wear and tear was pointed out in each listing as appropriate. I sold an antique Qing Dynasty robe that was over 100 years old. The buyer loved it as we communicated before the sale. I sold the garment, packed it, insured it and shipped it. It arrived right on time. I did not hear from the customer for three weeks. The buyer never contacted me, he went to Etsy and filed a "Customer Protection Program" complaint. His complaint was that it was not what he expected and the lining was a little faded. I told him I do not accept returns, and the garment had no issues other than what I explained in the listing as well as photos. He followed up with Etsy and said there was a tear in the back. An outright lie. After a few weeks since I had no further communication with the seller, Etsy said that I was required to send a refund and pay for return shipping. I refused. Etsy closed my shop. Etsy closed my shop while I was out of state due to a mandatory hurricane evacuation mandate. When I returned home, I had to liquidate my stock and send everything to auction. In the process I injured my leg and ended up in the hospital.
I do not want to do business with Etsy. Etsy is still trying to charge my account over $1,000. I want them to leave me alone. Honor my no return policy and close my shop forever. I will continue to advocate for unfair practices by Etsy for myself and other sellers until Etsy closes my shop and leaves me alone.

Worst customer service ever! I think etsy needs a worthy opponent and I will be willing to work with that company to get it off the ground! That is how much I detest this company and its awful customer service!

They never respond yet they have a customer service team. Their trigger rules are atrocious as to what triggers their system to remove your listings. Very dishonest company.

What customer service? There is none. You say fill out the contact form and they'll call you back but there is not a button for a contact form. Your answers to the questions don't match so you just pay your money to buy things and then you can't even access them and get no help... I have bought thousands of patterns and I just want to download them and you don't even have a simple download button you have to keep thousands of emails that are receipts for your purchases to be able to download your patterns at a future date what a joke why do you not have a simple button to touch to show all your patterns and be able to download them?? I would think that's pretty basic. And then you don't even have a way to contact people at your company...

I sold an item on etsy Canada. Customer happy but I can't deposit the balance money (after etsy fee etc. deducted) to my Bank. They have a technical issue and it's been over one month and I am still waiting for them to fix it. My money is stuck with etsy!!!! Horrible service absolutely unacceptable. Seller or buyer- avoid etsy.

Etsy promotes sellers as handmade product vendors. Only a fraction of vendors sell handmade. Many items are knockoffs of top brands out of China. I was suspended because I complained in the vendor review option concerning a vendor that would not complete a refund. Etsy is void of customer support. No phone or email support available.
