Microsoft do have a realy good support, compared tot Google. When I do have probleem with development with an app, they will help you out! Last time when I had an issue with an app on Windows Phone, they gived me my money back directly! That is good service!

Have y'all all noticed that support resources who are incompetent always act unprofessional and infantile "I can't hear you ma'am. Hello? Hello? ok, I can hear you now." and then they proceed with some instructions just so they can hung up in the middle of their own sentence? LOL
LOL LOL so entertaining

I was having problems signing in to my HP Envy and so I called HP, they tried as usual to tell me that they could not help me unless I bought their tech support service for 14.85 a month or a fee of 99.00 per year. I told them I was on SSI and had no money and please help me to reboot my system. The guy was a total jerk and told me to take my computer to a local fix it place but assured me it would cost me over 100.00. I then called Microsoft support. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! The tech support person was so nice and helpful and I came to find with his help that it was not a virus issue or anything else serious as the HP person said it was...it was as simple as changing my PASSWORD!. I love microsoft and how nice and helpful you all are. For a poor person, the internet is our only form of entertainment and contact with the outside world because we can't afford to do anything else. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help and support. You are amazing, patient and kind.

The agent was able to handle everything we need and actually showed the ability to be resourceful and use multiple methods of resolving the issue. Given the horrible customer service that is normally faced these days with all the offshoring happening, this was a very welcome surprise.

I had the BEST EVER service over the internet with a support person Jeramie. He went out of his was to help me, and spent 2 hours making my computer perfect. He explained everything to me, and even rang my phone in NZ to check when my internet cut out. Thanks so much Jeramie. I am not sure if you will ever see this, but I'm hoping this might make up a bit for not being able to do your survey!!

On 1/16/2014 I was contacted by a Microsoft technician. I explained that I had at least four "viruses" and was unable to correct them. Barry A. from the Philippine office spent a little over two hours correcting these firmly entrenched bits of malware. He also downloaded a number of programs to not only correct my present problems, but would protect me in the future. Barry A. was professional, knowledgeable, and a delight to work with. The $99.00 fee was cheap for the amount of work that he did for me. I will always go to Microsoft for my computer glitches.

Worked like a charm everything was very easy. Thank you for the number, finding it on MS website was like pulling teeth.

I read lots of comments, both positive and negative. I sincerely relate. I work at MS as CSR. It can be really frustating! We are required by quality reviews to make empathy statements (that's why they sound insincere) and we have to face the wrath for Tech's and Answer's desk mistakes.

Advice: Keep info like email, order numbers and CC numbers handy, to help locate your orders. Be kind, and dont vent for issues from other deparments. It's hard, I know, but a bad attitude generates bad more bad attitude. Don't think an overseas agent is inherently uncapable or viceversa, give them a chance.

Im truly sorry for all those bad experiences.

Back when I had Windows XP I had no Internet. My windows XP disc had ran out of installs so I called their support to get a new code. The first call was a woman and she had gave me a code, however, I missed a digit and said "wait what was after this letter?" and she had already hung up...The next call I got was from a robot, which was strange but whatever. This time I was able to get the code clear as day and my Windows Installation was back on track.

Its funny to see all the negative comments on Microsoft technical support for this reason. Over the last 3 weeks Ive spent 7,654 hours on the phone between Cox, CentryLink, etc... just trying to find a company with the knowledge to provide me with internet services. Both companies blow shnutz, but I ended up with cox, because I was left with really no choices. Anywho, I just called Microsoft yesterday after calling cox for help with a virus of some sort that was making all programs unusable, and cox said they wouldnt help me due to liabilities. The girl actually told me "I know what you need to do, but I cant tell you". So, I called Microsoft. this makes the second time Ive called them now. (I called them once for a problem on a computer at work). I didnt sit on hold for long. And the tech asked me the problem, assured me at the beginnning of the conversation that he would resolve my problems 100%, or make sure I talk to the person that can make it happen. You know what, he kept his word just like last time. He logged into my computer, fixed things, explained himself, even gave pointers on other things he saw on my computer. I wasnt charged anything, asked for a credit card number, or anything. To be honest with you, I dont even think it was a retail copy of windows on the computer I was calling on. I ama person that HATES technical support more than anyone (All companies answer the phone promptly when you are signing up for there product, but then when you have problems with that product you must wait 45 minutes to talk to a 18 year old try and use big computer terms, while stuttering and not making any sense). But Microsoft... believe it or not, made things very simple, and got things handled. And I dont think it was one brown nosing employee, because Ive used them twice now. Hats off to you guys. Probably the only time Ill say that to a technical support group.

My brother sent in his Xbox and got it returned within 2 weeks. The entire process was completely free and the customer service people on the other side were completely helpful. He even got an extra month of Live for free.
