I have been with a dispute with the square enix store for over a month now and they have refused to answer any questions over a lost shipment.
This is over 100 dollars I spent on their store and never received my merchandise, they have failed to reply to all the emails I sent over the last two weeks and copy messages I sent with the application of their site.

I officially make them the standard out of which I judge bad customer service.

Disguising customer service. I ordered a special item of theirs and however, I disliked what I received nd was quite disappointed in fact. And right on the item's redeem page it says that I could return and receive a refund and that it was within 14 days. But when I contacted cust. service, the representative said there are no refunds nor exchanges and even got sassy saying that just because I don't like the item doesn't mean I can return it. Like that really ticked me off. And I replied back saying how dissatisfied I am about the false advertisement of the return policy and how unclear it is there is and haven't gotten a reply back since. I also mentioned how many others commented on their blog that they got refunds, so now your lying to me? Truly horrible customer service, they just want your money, and don't care about your satisfaction.

I recently moved and closed bank accounts. When I did so I was informed by my bank that I had over drafted by square enix. I called to see if square Enix would accept payment from the correct bank. They said they don't do refunds even though I was offering to pay. Now I've had my account banned and was told it wasn't about the money to them but that I had damaged their reputation. They had a chance to do the right thing and keep a loyal customer of 9 years. Instead I will do everything to tarnish what's left of their mucky reputation.

Im writing this comment to express my anger towards this lazy,un-thorough cheap and uncaring company for their customers. I bought the hitman absolution game for my xbox 360. I played all the previous hitman game and completed everything at 100%. I was planning on doing this one, but the square enix company has a glitch in the game, where in the shaving lenny level, the notebook(wich is one of the items) is nowehere to be found. To complete all challenges that they incorporated in this game cannot be completed. Usually dedicated game manufacturers makes updates and game modifications to correct their mistakes or glitches like this. Unfortunately, square enix expects you to pay full price for a game, but neglects their mistakes and completely ignores the glitches. The game has been out for more than 2 years, no update or corrections were ever made. I am furious about this issue, why would you even consider putting challenges, if their impossible to do. Why put trophies or achievements if were unable to complete them. I'll have you know that this is the "VERY" last game i'm buying from this cheap and careless company. I am a huge dedicated fan to hitman games and this is an outrage for me, cannot believe that their going to deny and neglect this issue. I'm very disapointed in you guys, the ceo of this company should probably cut their recreation time at work, and actually have them work. The customera pay full price for a game that was made unprofessionally. Have your laugh guys, i'm never spending another dime on the sqare enix company ever again. Have a pleasant day, best of luck to ripping people off in the future.

FFXIV account was hacked 6 months ago, I was able to obtain the "new" info and get the account back. I then requested a character roll back and proved I was me, proved the account was stolen and even who stole it. Here I am 4 and a half months later, just got hung up on by them saying, "they are working on it." I am in the computer industry, nothing takes that long for a simple rollback, especially after the investigation is complete. No longer wasting my money on this company. I will go to other games, 14 is nothing but a WoW clone anyway, plenty of other options.

I was a new player and just started tp play FFxiv realm reborn..
I enjoyed the game on the free to play test time so bought it and paid for the extras for Heavensward..

Later i decided to try and purchase the bonus stuff for the original game by purchasing the game through the store again BUT the code wouldn't work since i had a code already applied I think.

Was told I had to buy the 17.99 upgrade from the 2nd site but the store on the first site wouldn't grant a return since the code was "open" even though the account management told me it was not a "used" code..

I was also told i could sell the 44.99 code to someone BUT after my crappy response from both sites who would i screw over with a game with this kind of sub standard system WITH 2 store NOT linked in any real way..

just stay away far away as they are just trying to literally steal your money

Terrible, I had to rebuy the entire game because of their policy. Their online user interface also made it very complicated and even possible pitfall that I fell into. Why on earth would I want to register another account.

Square's Customer Service: Oh, you actually waited the 2-3 hours we said it would take to reach an agent through chat or phone? Well, uh there is no agent so uh yeah *click*, have you tried email support? Our new feature releases acknowledgement emails every 72 hours for your enjoyment. "Please look forward to it."

Square's Support Services (in game): Short of trying to revive the third reich, you can be attacked for anything (gender, race, country of residence, be on the receiving ends of a variety of threats whether in-game to real) for up to a week at a time, three or four times a day. Eventually when someone does get back to you they'll suggest you blacklist the person and close your eyes if you see their character. That's their idea of conflict resolution.

Absolutely hopeless. After playing the free trial for ff14, i bought the game, redeemed the code on playstore but still couldnt log in. Just kept telling me to buy the game. Cs palmed me off to sony who were very helpful but the issue does not lie with them. Its square. After 3 weeks, 8 phone calls at an extortionate cost, still no resolution. It takes them days to even acknowledge emails. Theyre crap and dont care. So angry with them its unreal.

I spent $130 on the expansion I pay $45 for 3 months of subscription and I have done so for the past year and a half. Maintenance used to occur at random different days which was acceptable, as needed. Now they seem to think they have to do it once a week which is not what I'm paying for. I have no idea how this came about but you do not need to do maintenance on your game once a week. Period. Final Fantasy 11 did not have maintenance once a week. That was 2001! Last night there was "Scheduled maintenance".
Tonight there is " emergency maintenance " whatever the $%&# that means!!!! Who are you kidding, you think that excuses you from not planning ahead?! "Emergency" are we all going to die in real life, is that what you mean?!!!!!!! You when I get another dollar out of me I am done with this game and square enix. I feel so incredibly dumb that I spent $130 dollars on your expansion. I really love this game, and it's a shame I can continue to enjoy it because you guys can't get your act together and stop doing maintenance once a and then have the audacity to have "emergency maintenance" the very next day!!! Absolutely horrid, when think of all the money and hours involved. I have simply had enough of losing 3+ hours of game time every week, and that's all at minimum if I'm lucky!!! It's not as if I get to play 24 hours a day I only get a few hours at night, 2-3 hours. I would have file this complaint with square enix, but it is next to impossible to achieve that! How extraordinarily convenient. Done.

My Final Fantasy 14 account was banned in 2013 because their account security was poor. With Heavensward, I thought I'd try playing again.

I waited 1h30m for chat support. The representative, Agent Ryan, told me he escalated the demand, gave me no ETA for review, and rudely interrupted the chat at the end when I tried to address the ridiculous wait time.

This is why I get for trying to give them my business, I suppose.

This company is a TOTAL joke. i've been on the phone for 2hrs nearly going on 3 with NO HELP YET, And to top if off i'm also at the same time trying to contact someone on the Live chat but with still NO LUCK of getting in contact with anyone. I miss good ol Square-Soft. Not this new garbage joke for a company. i'm done with these guys.

Ordered the $130 Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward Collector's Edition Expansion, only to get the box open it and realize there was no game inside. 5 Days later I still haven't been able to reach ANYONE about it. THE WORST customer support I have EVER had.

this company just banned my account for no reason. i did not cheat at all, however they said i was cheating and banned my account on final fantasy xi. when i tried to call them up, i waited 1hour and 45minutes for them to say 'its rmt related and i cannot do anything about it.' i tried chat support and the agent named Ryan just booted me without letting me finish what i needed to ask regarding my account. so basically my account was banned on false charge.

Their customer support for a Realm Reborn was completely unhelpful. I spoke with Joel, and he talked over me constantly and would not connect me with a supervisor when I asked. My issue is completely unresolved after being on the phone for 30 minutes, so now I have to call back. Very unprofessional.

Without a doubt the worst customer service I've ever experience. After waiting 20 minutes on the phone to speak to someone i finally gave up and tried live chat. After dealing with rude customer service I asked to speak with a supervisor. No matter what I said they would not let me speak to a supervisor. They eventually disconnected from the chat. Then i tried the phone. After approximately 46 minutes someone answered. After a bit of talking I asked to speak to a super visor. After some going back and forth they absolutely WOULD NOT let me talk to a supervisor. there was nothing I could say. I'm currently at 34 minutes trying again after the lady hung up on me for repeatedly asking to speak to a supervisor.

I have just purchased my 4th Final Fantasy 14 game.When I downloaded the first three, I was still on the free game. I submitted numerous tickets and no help ever! I just purchased my 4th game and the activation code does not work. What the hell is wrong with these people that they cannot get anything right and they don't care

I'm a fan of the final fantasy series and i've been playing Final Fantasy XIII and i have to say. . . i just don't feel it.
Final Fantasy series used to be about management, immersion, story and content. . . now it feels like the game is playing itself and i'm just pressing a button or two.
You know, the great SquareSoft used to make wonderful RPG's, turn based RPG's and innovation was simply different ways to strategize and manage your characters, like final fantasy 9, it had combination magic, Final Fantasy 8 had Guardian Forces and Final fantasy 7 had Materia.
Then came Final Fantasy 12 and to me, you guys simply lost tact with what Final Fantasy really is.
I don't want a game that has pretty graphics and a shallow story i just can't follow, or a battle system that does everything for me.
I want the good old Final Fantasy i used to love and spend hours playing.
My advice to you guys at SquareEnix would be: Play the older series, see what went right and what went wrong, learn from SquareSoft and it's jewels, give us something that enthrail us, don't just had sparkles and over the top graphics. . . thats not what makes a game good.
I could go on forever but before you decide to go on and make another Final fantasy game, think about what it really is and what it really could be. . . just by being simple.

Let me be a bit vulgar for a second, square-enix. Just bought their game final fantasy a real reborn a few days back, and the cd key that THEY gave me was "already in use" and they basically won't help me with it at all, they have extremely horrible customer support, and no one should ever trust them with their hard earned money. If you want to play a game, find one with devs that wont try to rob you.

They really must not care. It amazes me the game actually gets played. Spent 2 weeks trying to get a hold of someone to retrieve my account which disappeared for no reason..along with all the money i spent on crysta and play time. apparently it still charges my credit card to play but they have not even attempted to help me back into playing the game again. I guess my accounts just lost..

Ok so square-enix has been around for a good amount of time and you'd expect a certain level of competence, but look elsewhere for it.

Rude staff with little or no knowledge of anything you ask for.

The CS number is worthless, premium charges for sub par service, provided you are lucky enough to get through to anyone that is.

E-mail support is a little better but still nowhere near helpful in trying to resolve anything. standard 3 working days to reply with anything and most of the time it is just a confirm e-mail that they have received you last reply (I mean really 3 days just to get back to you saying that they have got you e-mail), when I finally got someone to actually reply they just spewed out the same thing over and over again, yes we know the product is incorrectly marketed and labeled but you've bought it hahaha tough luck, is pretty much the feeling I get from this company.
