Square Enix customer support has to be the worst I've ever encountered. My character is unable to be logged in due to an error code of 1016 which nobody seems to understand how it happens. They have gave me nothing but generic responses and no solution, they will not issue a refund of my subscription and have told me that there is nothing I can do its not their problem kick rocks.

Regarding FFXIV , please make Leap of faith not happen so often! It gets really old when LoF pops up 4-6 times in a row.. ridiculous..

Been playing FFXIV for 8+ years now

Never had a billing issue till now
Customer Support DO NOT CARE
Their reply to any problem, wait 24 hours, goodbye.
This solves nothing.
If you explain in detail what the error is and the trouble shooting you have done, they don't care they will reply with any copy paste message they have even if its for something unrelated.

So after 40+ atempts at paying for a subscription
And 6+ atempts at reaching customer service which replied 2 weeks later.

My FC of 3000 members (1600 of us have quit) and are now playing other games.
It's sad to see but when your hosts, event runners who make content for players do to rather than be afk bored aren't able to login, events stopped being run and people quit.

Square Enix does not care, there is always some other fool who is willing to pay for the game and unlock the sub.

Incredibly high turn over of players.

In game customer service is no better, see someone being racist or an old perv hitting on a child saying lewd sexual acts in game chat to someone who is a minor, reporting them, won't do anything they'll still be around.

I bought the complete edition of ff 14 on pc since on ps4 it simply wont allow me to log in no matter what i do. So after biyijg it now the game simply will not install on my pc. I decided to just get a refund to avoid anymore hassle but you cant even talk to an agent. Its beyond frustrating and logging in is needlesy complex. Easily the worst customer servive ive ever had to deal with.

I've been playing one of Square Enix games for many years now, Final Fantasy XIV. I am forced to post here about the absolutely absurd and complete lack of customer support they have. I accidentally purchased an item with currency that you can only get one per week clearing the hardest content (savage). I had four of that currency and noticed I clicked on the incorrect item. Yes, that's my fault. I took a chance and contacted customer support and they stated they would refund the currency if I discarded the item. I told them, that's fine, did what they asked and then proceeded to wait. Wait some more. Still waiting. Waiting even more. It has now been FIFTEEN DAYS since the issue was opened and I have yet to receive my currency back. This is absolutely atrocious how long an issue like this takes to resolve. A company as large as SE should be able to have customer support resolve issues in at least a couple of days, NOT TWO OR MORE WEEKS! Do yourself a favor and never cause anything in game which results in you contacting customer support. You will be waiting an eternity for a resolution all the while they keep saying "apologies for the delay, please be patient." WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I have been trying to return a game that they had sent me. On the order it says the game is for PS4. They sent me the ps5 version. I have been trying to get my money back from them but everytime I message them it takes a whole day to get back to me and in the mean time I'm running into things that they need to take care of for me to get stuff done. I have spent over 2 hours running around to get this stuff done. So not not only is this wasting my time but also more on my money this company is a joke to say the least. I would rate this lower if I could unfortunately 1 is the lowest I can go. It is no wonder this company it failing. Customer support is a key point in keeping loyal consumer. I will not be buying anything from this company ever again.

Almost 1 month i was contacting with their support with one thing to solve/help.
I had to make about 7 tickets, beacouse when i make one ticket, they write to me, and they dont read my response. Everytime i made new ticked with full desctription about last tickets, and everytime they as me what i need, everytime i response what i need and then they dont give a f.. about me. worst customer service ever. I will cheated cause i payed for game thaty i cant play and they dont want to make it work for me.

I tell the my problem. They send me a copy paste reply that does not help me whatsoever. I send another ticket and tell them I need someone to actually read my mail and not just send me a copy paste cus it doesnt help at all. I then get another one and this happened 3 times in a row... Litterally the most useless support ever. I have gotten better support from websites that scammed me when I was a kid lmfao

I had a primary weapon and shield go missing when I logged off one night. After I logged on...saw them missing I immediately did an isearch for items. Nothing. I then went to ventures and to glam box...nothing. I took screen shots of all. Sent GM report (which is nightmare to get to) this was Sunday morning 7 am. I have 1 90 character with the gear to do all raid and dungeons. Without gear I am out of raids and dungeons that I unlocked.

Didn't hear anything Sunday or Monday. So I called tech support. While on phone with them I Google this issue and saw multiple people have had this happen all the way back to 2018. I asked her about it. This is the response I got "we know about the bug but for the few hundred it affects out of the sheer thousands online. It is not worth fixing." I asked about my gear and she said it was a Gms problem. Asked when gm would resolve...she didn't know. We are now at Friday. Still no gear. They have screen shots of me with my gear on for proof. And screen shots of everything I have and no gear. It takes 6 weeks of dungeon run to get it again..no...

Moral of this is...do not get high end gear if it isn't easy to replace. They can snatch it from you at anytime and you will not get it back. And their TERMS OF SERVICE give them the right to do so..even gives them the right to take your 90s and delete them and you have no recourse. They hold all the cards and you hold none. Read your TERMS of service. This bug will never be fixed and gear will continue to go missing. GMs do NOT respond and you are just out of luck.

I hope that this saves even 1 person from what I have gone through this week trying to get my gear back.

Worst customer support ever! If you have a problem with your account and contact customer support, expect to wait and wait and wait for a fix. My account recently got hacked/compromised a couple weeks ago and I am still waiting on them to fully fix it. I've tried reaching out to the customer support team a few times, but all I am getting is non-answers and a blatant refusal to give me any estimate of when it will be completed. Each time I call customer support, the same person answers - who is rude and condescending and can't even pretend to give a damn about the customer. Last time I asked to speak to his supervisor or someone over him, I was put on hold for nearly 10 mins and then he picked up claiming everyone was too busy to talk to me.

After having a problem with my account i tried 2 days straight to at least contact the support. After all the trying i got not a single answer for my problem but of the playtime which u pay money for is still running. And if you get in contact they just can't help you with the problem. FFXIV is a good game indeed but the costumer service/support is horrible.

Stole over $65 from me. Originally stole over $125 but I've been able to get some of that refunded. I was charged for items that never shipped, I didn't realize this for almost 2 years because what kind of company charges you for items that aren't in stock and never shipped? I asked for a refund and it's been an absolute nightmare. They refunded the purchase price of the items after several months of delays on their end, but they did not refund the tax or shipping! They actually charged me over $35 for taxes and shipping on NOTHING. Support needs to be spoon fed the information to understand anything and then they come back asking for proof... isn't my order, payment method, price charged, and price refunded in your system?

Bought the complete edition for FF14. It was a waste. Its supposed to come with 30 days of game time but they decided that because I had an account before, years ago that paying 60 bucks doesnt net me any game time.
so I asked if they would transfer it into the current DLC for the same price, if I'm spending 60bucks I'd at least like to get the in game items I could have had.
their store front is awful, it took so much time and effort figuring out how to log in and buy the game in the first place. They've flat out told me 'no' I'm so mad and they dont care at all.

Absolute Garbage customer service. I bought the complete edition of FF14 2 days before the new expansion was released, wasnt able to play the game becausae 4000+ queues and their servers were broken so you would continuously get kicked from the queue. I aske dfor refund because i couldnt even play the game and they said "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but as outlined in our Terms and Conditions, as well as in your Order Confirmation page, we are unable to refund your product once the activation key has been unlocked and registered" Full garbage company

I wonder just how many bad reviews does square enix still need to get to finally fix their horrible costumer service. My experience buying from their store was a freaking NIGHTMARE and it ruined my enjoyment of their games, which are indeed beautiful, but the experience was too horrible to look at them in the same way again.

I'm very disappointed in the cloud ports of kingdom hearts coming to switch.i and many other fans wanted actual ports.i will not be buying these cloud versions and many other fans are intending to do that same.please give us actual ports even if the original versions released separate otherwise us fans won't buy kingdom hearts on switch

Terrible service, terrible online layout that doesn't help anyone. I dont know who thought any of this would be a good idea but I would expect Square to be just a little competent instead of having the WORST online services. I honestly regret trying to Play FFXIV after 5 years because I now have to deal with Square again.

Had to buy FF14 twice for different accounts, have pass/login everything still telling me I can't sign in then I change the password and it tells me it's suspicious activity and locks me out. Literally just changed it seconds before signing in and it tells me it's suspicious. Then can't ever reach anyone for support. I don't even care about a refund or anything just wanted to play and can't do that

Square Enix is quite possibly the WORST at providing ANY ACTUAL customer support, not to mention all their crap reads @$$ backwards and is completely freaking useless! Their so called "Support" Website is possibly the BIGGEST joke I've ever seen and quite frankly they could do to learn the concept of customer relations.

Without question the worst customer service I have ever encountered for any product or service. Beyond unfathomable. I found ff14 to be a great game, totally ruined by the hyperactive nannies who police the game and technical issues long since solved by every other mmo. The contrast between the people who create the game and the MORONS who mismanage it and are doing everything they can to ruin it is amazing.

I used this number and had someone on the phone in 7 minutes. He was friendly and helpful. He was even able to solve my problem in just a few minutes so i dont know what all the bashing is about.
