Please do not use vision works you stand to get better service at Walmartveye care centet. We have excellent insurance, my wife went in to get eye exam and glasses. The first took two weeks the scond pair was smudged and had to be redone they told her very arrogantly she has to wait two more weeks bringing the wait time up to one month. Those people in the tucker ga office are unprofessional, arrogant and condescending. Please take your business elswhere. The customer satisfaction rating (74) negative and (6) positive results tell the story.

I went in with a prescription (my exam was done elsewhere) just to purchase glasses. I have an EXCELLENT insurance plan! Once I chose my frames, 'Joe' then told me what my bottom line amount due would be..it should have only been a $50 deductible - I was charged $70! Also, when I asked about all of the items listed on the receipt that I NEVER asked for and he NEVER told me he was adding, he said to me "your insurance is great! It covers everything so I gave you everything" without EVER asking me if I wanted the extras or NOT!! Maybe I didn't want anti-glare for some reason, or whatever else he charged me for WITHOUT MY CONSENT!!!

I made the mistake of making an appointment for my husband to get an eye exam and pick out new glasses. When we arrived 15 minutes early for his appointment, the Mays Landing location was ALREADY AN HOUR BEHIND! Then, the first person to check him in handed him a clipboard trying to UPSELL his exam to which he said 'no thank you'. Half an hour later, Carla approached him and proceeded to hand him the same clipboard and AGAIN tried to UPSELL his eye exam to which my husband said "no thank you" again. The third time she shoved the clipboard in his face and TOLD him he had to sign it, he got up and we WALKED OUT THE DOOR!!! We even confirmed with the first person (who was very nice) that there was no place to OPT OUT of the UPSELL exam and Carla did tell her if someone does not want it that they don't have to sign. So why then, did she shove the clipboard in my husband's face not once, but twice telling him he HAD TO SIGN for it?!? Then she got nasty, gave him attitude, flipped her ponytail and huffed away to the counter, never checking him in for his exam! If you haven't already visited a Visionworks (our first experience with them) I would URGE anyone to do their homework, read the awful reviews, then run to another eyecare company! We certainly will NEVER return nor will we ever recommend Visionworks!

I has my appointment at 12:40 and did not get done until 3:00 I asked the eye doctor for any sample of dry eye drops I forgot mine and my vision was flowing in and out. He even thought I had a scratched cornea I was so dry. They had nothing to offer REALLY in an eye store?? Then proceed to get my glasses wit my insurance as I have been for 42 years and I could not afford the glasses I wanted. And no they were not real expensive 159 and 129 for 2 pairs.. my bill was going to be 450 what happened? I even had the coupon you sent me. So I picked the glasses I did not want and pray the prescription is right.

I was in the Georgetown Kentucky office 450 connector road on February 25, 2022 and was told I need a much higher prescription than I have. I was told they would order a trial pair before I purchased the lenses due to me never having this special kind before. I never heard back I called 5 times in over a month to find out if my lenses were there and on my 5th call is when they decided to tell me they never ordered them. I wasted over a month waiting for something they never ordered. They could have told me that on my first call. So I told them I would come in and pick up a copy of my prescription and go somewhere else and she said "ok, that's fine" so I went and picked it up and the prescription I was given is no different than the one I had when I walked in that place to get and eye exam in February!!! He didn't give me this "special " prescription that I was gonna have to order these "special" contacts for, apparently there is only one company that makes them?? Sounds fishy. So I want my money back for my eye exam so I can go to a real respectable business and have my eyes examined again. Hey and maybe get some people in your store that are friendly and are properly trained.

Paid cash for an exam in December. NO active phone line at the local store. No way to call them. Now its March and after 5 trips IN to their office I am STILL not able to get a correctly documented script OR a pair of lenses that has come in correctly. Wearing the same sample pair of a wrong lenses since initial appointment. Customer service has been cumbersome and ineffective. Staff in store is disinterested, disorganized and incapable of understanding/following through on simple requests. Even with paperwork in front of them. Worst vision experience and customer service in over 40 years!

Extremely unsatisfied!! Had an appointment at 10 am, arrived at 10:06 and they refused to see me saying the 2 appointments before me were on time and I could come back at 11:15. Why do the 2 people before me have anything to do with my appointment. This was my second time going there... 2 years ago I was prescribed glasses which I never could get comfortable with and decided to try them again...why?? Mistake on my part!! Also, extremely expensive!!

I have had several bad experiences with this company. I once, the sales person tried to talk me into a different lense, stating that they are close in strength. As it turns out, they forgot to order the lense that my script called for. I was not going back as this was one of many things. Yesterday my bow came off. I thought it looked repairable but could not quite see it. I went back to have it reattached only to be told the hinge is broken. Offering me the same frame for $200. I went home and got an old pair out and was able to see that a small metal piece had slipped out of place. There was no broken hinge. I glued this metal piece in and it is like new. You can not tell it was ever out. This store should be shut down.

I have been a patient at Visionworks in Bayonne for a few years and haven't had a bad experience until a month ago and again today. I have to say that the receptionist at the Bayonne, NJ Visionworks is extremely rude and shows no professionalism and courtesy towards the customers. I dealt with this same person twice and both times she was extremely rude. I called the beginning of November for an eye exam with contact lens fitting and was told that the earliest appointment they had available was today 12/9/21 and since my prescription expired in September they couldn't give me a pair of contacts. I had no idea that I was due for an appointment in September but after dealing with her dismissive attitude I agreed to take the appointment. I decided to wear the contacts for an extra month. I received a call today saying that my appointment for today needed to be cancelled because the doctor left early sick and that the earliest appointment they could give me was January 3. I completely understood about the doctor not feeling well; however, when I asked about a pair of contact lenses since I didn't have anymore and I would now be wearing the same pair for 3 months, that is when she became extremely rude. She seemed more interested in just making the appointment and getting me off the phone than she did about proper customer service. Her tone was once again dismissive and uncaring. She also told me that the store was closed 12/31; however, when I went online to make an appointment before calling, there were appointment times available for that day. When I pointed this out to her, she said, "Go ahead and make the appointment and come in and the store will be closed." I asked to speak to someone else and she told me there was no one else to speak to. Since the appointment was cancelled by Visionworks, I would have thought that they would have compensated in some way by squeezing those of us who were affected in somehow and not have us wait another month. To wait another full month is unacceptable and poor customer service.
I know I can't be the only person to complain about this woman (She refused to tell me her name when I asked). The first person a customer speaks with when they call any establishment sets the tone for the business, and I'm sorry to say that this woman has 0 customer service skills and should not be allowed to deal with people or should receive more training. I understand that there are rules and laws that need to be followed and are out of everyone's control; however, there are ways to speak to customers and still get the point across without being rude and uncaring.
Customers come first. Customer service for Bayonne, NJ Visionworks gets an F.

I had an eye exam on 9/14/21 at your Visionworks location at the Pentagon City Mall located at 1100 South Hayes Street in Arlington, VA. At that time, I paid for my exam using my personal credit card. (Sales receipt #00509-400033)

On 9/16/21, my husband, had an eye exam at the same location. (Sales receipt #00509-400076) When he was about to pay for his eye exam, the store clerk, Judith, asked if I was his wife. When he confirmed that I was his wife, Judith asked him if he wanted to charge his eye exam to my credit card which she said Visionworks had on file! WHAT IN THE WORLD!

First, there is no reason why Visionworks should have my credit card information retained ON FILE! I was never asked if I wanted it retained on file nor was I ever told that it would be retained on file for any reason! This practice is unacceptable and I want it stopped and to have any of my personal credit card information that has been improperly retained in our system erased!

Second, where does Judith get off offering to charge another person's eye exam to my credit card! This is illegal! She had absolutely no proof that this man was my husband other than his say so! Even if he is my husband, he has no right to charge anything on my credit without my authorization, WHICH HE DID NOT HAVE!

I want his matter investigated, documented and I want Judith disciplined for offering my credit card information to another person!

Store at south gate in Milwaukee WI supposed to open at 9:00 nobody showed up until 9:50 had appointment for exam at 9:40 didn't get seen but a MD in person but virtually what the hell is that... very unhappy with staff and wondering after years of going to vision works want to come back

I was not happy with my experience today at the cobblestone court vision-works location. The doctor was very grumpy, not friendly at all. I will go elsewhere.

I just had my eye exam on Saturday August 14.
During this exam. I found the man that was doing my testing to be very cold and I almost felt like it was a job to do my exam for him. I had to ask what everything and every test he was performing on my eyes and had to pry any information I received about my eye exam from him
When speaking to the eye Dr. I found him to be extremely nice and he was able to answer any questions I may have and had great suggestions for me on my options to see better. He was a very thorough Dr that I spoke to on a monitor in my exam room.
When it came to the order I g process of my exam. What a nightmare. I had purchased my own frames that I really liked online. So I had brought them with me.
When I asked about no line bifocals. I was told that I could not get that option because I was using my insurance. This was also the case with ordering transitions lenses. So they said. I am covered for exam and testing by my insurance company and am allowed $200.00 spending limit on my glasses. I also had a contact lense exam at this appointment so that I could once again wear contacts instead of my glasses all the time. I was never once questioned about my contacts and never given any contact lenses to wear out. I was told straight up that if you use your insurance. You cannot add anything to your glasses. But if you don't use your insurance. You can add anything. That is just crazy. So because I paaay for extra vision insurance. I can't have a no line bifocal added to my lenses or transitional lenses added so that I don't scratch my lenses by wearing the extra clip in sun glasses which look terrible. ?????
I called my insurance company on Monday and questioned about the no line bifocal and the transition on the lenses. My insurance company informed me that I have a $200.00 allowance for my glasses and anything above and beyond that would have to be paid by me. Which I completely understood.
So now you tell me why I walked out of that store without contacts and without the glasses that I will feel comfortable wearing for the next year.
When I called the store back. I was placed on a lengthy hold for so long twice that I had to eventually hang up Also at this store I was informed that they cannot change my order. My exam was as I said done on Saturday and this was now Monday morning when I called the store to see if they would indeed add the no line and transition to my lenses. I was told that " Oh no we couldn't do that. They have been ordered already. Ok. They are ordered but I was told by my technician that they would probably arrive on the 28th of August. There is no way that my glasses were already made and being shipped back to me by Monday morning. She should've or could've called the business that they order the lenses from and added this to my order before they are made which is what I was trying to do in the first place. Instead. I was once again told no.
I would like to k ow what is going on with this store. Or is this with every Vision Works store.
This is the treatment I received and I walked out of the store without being able to see anything. No glasses. No contacts.
Please help me with this situation. I am not saying the store name in this post. But if I do not receive an answer or help in this matter. I will be forced to reveal the exact location so that people do not visit that site.

I went to vision works in Camp Hill, PA. They didnt have the correct trial contact lens in for my right eye. They said they have have to order it and it they said it would be in, in 2 weeks and it still isn't here. They also know I wear multifocal contacts for distance. I told the eye doctor who did my eye exam that and he just said, no you don't need multifocal contacts abd now I still can't see for distance or up close. They need to make this right, so I can see. I am so disappointed with viision works service. Can someone please help me so I can see.

My daughter was caught in a bad rainstorm and was late for her appointment. Highway flooded right near the store . She was told her appointment was cancelled and she could come back on Saturday because the doctor has to leave at 7 O'Clock. I will go back to my old doctor who would never mentioned that he had to stay late to accommodate a patient. But we are not patients at Vision care we are customers. Learned my lesson no more franchises for medical care!!!this was your Plymouth Meeting store

This new system they have of calling your local Visionworks number and being connected to someone in God knows where is horrible!
I cannot call my local store at all, I have to be connected by this call service, who can NEVER get through and then they swear they are going to call me back. I have always found their eye care services to be substandard, but add this on top of it and I will gladly go elsewhere and pay full price for my glasses instead of using my "insurance" here.

We annually shop for our glasses at your Fox Valley Illinois location. On Saturday, June 5, 2021, my husband went for his annual exam and glasses. We usually use two eye insurances. He selected his eye frames and waited for the optometrist. A male employee approached my spouse, and asked my spouse what insurance he wanted to use, which I might add is on file at your store. We have 2 different eye insurance plans, and never had any past issues using both with VisionWorks. This male employee proceeded to inform my spouse that he could not use both insurances as that is fraud. My spouse questioned your employee who then became extremely unprofessional, all because my spouse stated he has never heard of such a thing, and asked for your employee to expound further. When your male employee could not, he then called for the supervisor, who then became loud, ignorant and unprofessional, and accused my spouse of being unprofessional all because he asked for an explanation of the use of two eye insurance plans. The supervisor then accused my spouse of returning several pair of glasses, which is categorically untrue, as he has never returned glasses bought and paid for from VisionWorks. Bottom line is we have never received such unprofessional conduct from your employees in the past and we have spent several thousand dollars of eyewear from your company over several years. This obviousy a new crew at this location in Illinois. WE will no longer shop at any VisionWorks again! We will no longer take our hard earned dollars to cater to a business where employees are rude and unprofessional staff. Your employees definitely need customer service training, and need to attend training on how to interact with customers, and stop making assumptions about customers. My spouse simply went for his annual eye exam and decided to select new eye glasses. He did not envision having a provoked verbal altercation with two store employees in the presence of a third employee and other customers while waiting for an eye exam over the use of a primary and secondary eye insurance. Disgusted and extremely disappointed!!!

The absolute hands down worst experience I have had as a customer in my lifetime. I paid $300 for contacts that I never received and spent weeks calling and calling to be told I would receive a call back. This has been going on for 3 months now. Do not go here.

Ordered glasses the beginning of April with a delivery date 4-19...I called they 4-21 and found out my one grandsons glasses were in but the others...the lab BROKE the frame...THESE WERE SAFETY GLASSES FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD TO PLAY SOCCER...as of now and 6 excuses later I still DO NOT HAVE THE ORDER

first off my appointment was canceled through Visionworks because they contacted me and there was something wrong with the date that I had scheduled and it was kind of last minute as well it was the day of my appointment I was about to leave so I rescheduled my appointment for today ,@ 6427 National Pike Unit A Catonsville Md, upon my arrival I walked into the lobby and I wasn't really greeted there was a lady there and said how can I help you and I said yes I have an appointment I'm a few minutes late I said they rescheduled my appointment from last week not due to my request with due to Visionworks request something was wrong with the date that they had scheduled me or what not I'm not sure but the day of my appointment I was about to walk out the door I took the time off so that I could come into the appointment last week andand again Visionworks asked me if I could reschedule which I complied I scheduled for today at 12:20 I arrived here at 12:40I have been here by memory the last time so I didn't put it into Maps and I wanted a passing the location which I drove here all the way from Baltimore City which that took me 25 minutes to get here just letting you know how far my home is from here as well my commute and so I passed your locate their location here because I didn't see it and I wanted to go down and I I got to the point where there's a state park and you can't turn around so you have to literally Drive the whole duration of that long road which is like a seven or eight minute drive down and have seven drive back as well and then I finally found the location on the right side which I know it was on the right I just didn't realize I thought it was further down okay so I arrived I just wanted to the lady that's working her name was Michelle and her whole demeanor was just it was not welcoming it was not kind it was not professional she didn't speak to me the whole time after I even explain to her my situation how they they canceled my appointment last week last minute as I was about to walk out the door and so I accommodated your company by coming this week instead of my day and I was about to come last week and you guys call me as I was walking out the door and ask me if you could reschedule and then so I arrived too late because I passed your location here on 6427 National Pike State Road 40 Catonsville Maryland and she literally said nothing to me she like rolled her eyes up in her head like two to three times when I was telling her about me passing the location like I was like a child or something being dishonest kind of like that kind of thing felt like the way she was rolling her eyes you know I I don't know it was just very rude and then she told me that she had to reschedule my appointment and I'm very disappointed in the way she she I was treated by her so I would suggest that you find another employee for that location because she's going to lose a lot of business for you cuz I'm no longer going to bring my business to your company because of her I'm bad upset by the way she treated me and had never regard to the fact that my my appointment was canceled on me last week last minute by your company and then I arrived I understand late due to the fact that I passed the location looking forward on the left and I didn't see it and she was not accommodating at all nor had no regards or care to the fact of my schedule Etc and just anything and she was very rude so I would suggest that again you find somebody to fulfill that position because she's going to lose a lot of business for your company I don't call or leave messages or complaints I've never done that in my life this is my first time that's how upset I was by the way Michelle treated me at your location at 6427 National Pike

Visionworks Customer Service Gets it Right on Second Try
Good customer service goes a long way and I commend businesses that realize this, even if it takes a couple of tries to get it right. Such was the case for Visionworks, which recently righted a major wrong I wrote about back in June.
