you have been charging my credit card without my permission for the past 3yrs. Will only give me credit back for the last one....ripoff...

You have no phone to contact you..had to ask my credit card company to get you on the phone....bad customer service...you said I needed to cancel my renew...I never asked to have your co. renew my subscription every year. never downloading anything, but had to pay...you are doing this to ALOT of people..this must be how you stay in business because your software is crap. I will do everything possible to let people know about your company..you can go on line and see all complaints about your co..

I got the number off the internet that said it was Micro Trend 1-866 something and I was on the phone for 45 minutes.
And then he (Hayden-Indian accent) wanted to charge me $399 to fix everything. I said no then he tried to offer something cheater said no then he said he would call me back in an hour. I went back to the internet typed in Trend Micro again and did not see that site where I got the number from.
I made sure I got on the official site for Micro Trend and the support guy told me a lady was scammed a month ago for the same thing. I don’t know why they didn’t warn people about this I didn’t see anything on their site about this scam. Will never purchase this software again!!!!!!

After I was charged for a 1 year renewal of Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security, the serial number no longer worked. It took awhile me to contact them, but the chat customer service was not very customer friendly. I called them to disable the auto-renewal feature, and I could barely understand the representative. Needless to say, I'm done with Trend Micro.

Tried to download trend 3 years ago and my computer would not accept the program. After too many hours with tech. support....nada. Tried to get reimbursed...enter iyogi which was some third party that wants you to agree to their terms and conditions.Asked them for trends number and he pretended not to hear me and hung up. Finally made a claim through my bank and with the banks claim dept. listening contacted trend with the # given here. Hey guess what....maybe a refund. Stay away from trend!

Tried to update to Titanium as invited, uninstalled old version and new version would not install. Tech tried rto hlelp but advised I would have to use remote access techs at COST $$$$$$. In the mean time a virus thieir porogram had let in alost stopped my PC. Had to introduce Adaware and Malwarebytes FREE versions by usb stick to fix problem.. FREE.. Rather than spend money on Trend Techc I had Norton tech remotely install their product and tune system at NO COST.. TREND you will fail if you keep this lack of service up. U SUCK.. Where is my A$88 refund

Currently on hold well over 10 minutes, promised 2 minutes
Some kind of Vault appeared today from Trend Micro. I never had TM on this computer, bought late 2007. Impossible to remove through Windows uninstall, asking for a nonexistent password. Total call time 25 minutes so far.

TM has intruded onto my computer.

I recently had a problem with Trend Micro. It suddendly started telling me that I had threats to my computer thru the popup window. In just a few weeks trend claim to have remove thousands of threats. Using the full scan mode in trend it never found any threats.
On top of that my computer slow down to a crawl and even stop responding. I contacted A trend tech to help me and after a few days of doing everything that I was advised to do my problem only got worst.
Then the tech said that they would be glad to help me as long as I paid for it. I declined since I felt strongly that the problem was with the Trend software itself.
I stop the software from running and my computer work just like it should. I then uninstalled the trend software and then reinstalled it with the newer version since the version I had was 2011 version. The 2011 software was apparently the cause of my problems as the newer version is working fine now.

New version of Trend Titanium would not install. Tried 8+ times. Brand new Windows 7 64 bit Asus machine. Got "failed to install" message with a link to a description of the error codes, and instructions. I followed the instructions (different each time) and it never worked. I had to go into the system registry files, and other places I did not know existed to delete Trend folders, etc. Bottom line nothing worked. Threw the disk away. Downloaded Norton 360 from Amazon, took about 15 minutes and installed in about 5. Working great - no problems since.

Trend Micro probably has the worst support I have ever experienced. I am a systems admin consultant and I deal with a lot of vendors...but trend is the worst.

We were having issues their anti spam solution on our exchange cluster, they told me to install this different version and that would fix it up...well installing them crashed our whole exchange and I was lucky to get it running again. Why did it crash our exchange? Because it turns out the senior engineer named "Carl" told me to install an incompatible version!!!!!!!!!

Had issue where Trend Micro Titanium 2012 took up 25GB of hard drive space in the programs directory. Tech support had me uninstall then reinstall the software. The feature that makes a rescue CD would not work so I called tech support and the fellow was not very good and told me I do not need to make a rescue CD unless I have a problem. He could not understand my concern that if I can not make a CD now how will I be able to do this when I do have an infection. I asked to speak with a supervisor and I was put on hold for over 25 minutes with no music or announcements. I called back and got to a supervisor after a few minutes more but the other fellow did not log any information in my case so the supervisor does not know who he was but said he will look into it.

I renewed my Trend for another year as I have done in the past. After renewing, I get a message telling me that your company will no longer to able to provide service for my computer unless it is upgraded. I do not choose to upgrade my system and I should have been informed before it was renewed by the company.I was charged by Trend company knowing that my computer would not be able to use Trend.

Tried to renew online. I paid and downloaded. The installation failed. It said to download again and try again. It failed again. After a few of these, it said you have exceeded the download attempt limit, and should contact Trend Micro. Called them. The operators are in the Philippines, their English is poor, they are uninformed, and I ended up completely frustrated. Oh, I can't wait to call again and waste my time getting nowhere. I used to love this product, and always renewed for 5 years at a time. Now I"m told I can only renew for one year, and the cost is outrageous!! The company has gone to hell.

I too am disgusted with MicroTrend. I cancelled in early March but they still billed me. When trying to get online to reiterate my cancellation, I had no luck. I finally called my credit card company and they took my billing cost off and put a block do MicrTrend can not bill me again. Their are free services out there that offer more than what MicrTrend offers.

It is over two years since I used Trend Micro Internet Security Pro and I uninstalled the software per Trend Micro's instructions. Every day I have received a renewal notice on three PC's and I have to delete these notices. Trend Micro is no help in removing this irritant and as far as I can see the resulting inconvenience appears to be purely pernicious.

I too have had billing issues with this Co. I was auto-billed $48.95 2/12/12, $7.95 2/17/12, $62.95 2/28/12, $35.95 3/3/12. I spent several hours with several Aisan representatives figuring out all these charges. Long story short: I am stuck with the $48.95 and $7.95 charges because they are more than 30 days old (I was told no refunds after 30 days) by the time I noticed all these charges and complained. The $62.95 and $35.95 charges have been refunded (I verfied that they really have been) because I caught those in time. I told the reps. to take me off all auto-renewals because I never want to purchase ANYTHING from this Co. EVER AGAIN. I lost almost two months of a 12 month renewal because I did not know of the purchase, and would not have purchased had I been given the choice. I feel very taken advantage of by this Co. and was just thankful to have caught some of the charges in time!!!! I hope this Company gets sued and goes out of business.

Purchased a 10-user license for my company, and began installation. After installing on 3 computers, I was informed that a 4th installation would exceed our limit. Customer service informed me that I was issued a 3-user license despite my email confirmation of a 10-user license purchase. I was issued a new serial number with apologies. After installing this serial number on 8 systems, I was again informed that a 9th installation would exceed our limit. I also noticed that the email address to log into our account had suddenly changed. Customer Service informed me that, basically, they had issued our serial number to a separate individual, and we needed a NEW serial number. I was then informed that they were incapable of issuing the new number to me today, since the individual in charge of issuing the numbers was in a "meeting." Further prompts (and much anger) revealed that "meeting" was a term used in place of "not in the office." They assured me that they would email this person, and that I would receive a new number in 24 hours... Bottom Line: GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!

I cannot get a .hold of someone to cancel my order. I have not used Trend for 3 years, but still get charged. I called, canceled, but was still charged. Digital recorder tells me to go on line, will not accept my password, and cannot cancel

Impossible to get help with problem of double debit to my account. This service was cancelled in 2009 or 2010 and even says so on website but still being charged for it even though no longer have computer.

Everyone here is right... it is sad that companies can get away with crap like this. Even the product itself is a scam. I'm kinda a tech geek (or nerd or whatever they call me) and I noticed that Trend Micro didn't find all the viruses and crap on my computer, yet it seemed to slow me down AND block websites which I personally KNEW were not fraudulant. Fortunately, through my coding knowledge with computers and registering with open-source program forums, I found a free and worthwhile firewall + a free antispyware and antivirus software. This website will help you test your computer's overall security (internal computer security and external or I mean on the internet or other networks)it's called GRC (google it if you don't trust the link) https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
This website saved me by providing free, open-source tools by developers who are not interested in profit (as they don't earn anything from this) but instead simply want to help the modern computer user. The website helps test your security and recommends products without asking for information (don't ever give out info!) If you ever need to submit an email address for something, but aren't sure whether you can trust the website, just create a "junk" email account which has no connections to you at all and is simply there for you to ensure your personal information is secured. For people worried about firewalls, try "Zone Alarm" which is a free firewall and is MORE effective than any other firewall available! For virus and spyware removal software, use "Ad-Aware" which found malicious software on my computer during its quick scan when Trend Micro Titanium didn't find anything on a full-scan!

I just want to conclude here to make it easier for people:
1. Cancel subscriptions to companies for firewalls/ malicious software removal tools as they are just a facade! (Read more at GRC)
2. Download the free (no trial crap or anything) firewall "Zone Alarm" and keep that running!
3. Download "Ad-Aware" which is free to (with no crap trial too) use and found stuff which TMT didn't! It also constantly scans new software to keep your computer safe without slowing it down!
4. Go to

or google "GRC" and use their security tests to find out how secure your computer is. Go ahead and read their articles too which will help you stay secure.

The reason the most effective software for security is free is because it is made by programmers/coders who do the job not for profit, but to increase computer user's security and also it helps on their job application :)
The reason paid security software is NOT the best is because usually the software (not always, but most of them) simply just blocks things which may be malicious; real theives are smart and simply bypass the program. Companies work for profit, Coders/programmers work for the health of the internet community!

(P.S. For those of you who want not only security but also anonymity online, I suggest downloading the "TOR" browser or the program "Privoxy" which make it virtually impossible to track and hack a user's data over the internet. Just google the terms as I don't have a link, sorry. I prefer TOR because it was actually started by the Navy for cyber security and well, just go to the website and it'll explain it all to you :)

My Trend Micro Titanium Story: After finding out that most security software programs are simple facades to make us feel better, I went to cancel my subscription. After finding out it "auto-renews" in which I cannot change the credit card or even directly cancel it, I went through the instructions on Trend Micro's FAQ and cancelled auto-renew from my account; this was a month before it was set to auto-renew. I then come to find 5 days before my subscription expires that it charged my account (even though I was ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE THAT I CANCELLED IT!) for its auto-renew BS. I follow the instructions to cancel it once more but instead of seeing a "cancel" button next to subscription or auto-renew, I see "processing" and "renewing now" and there is NO option to cancel. I can't even change or access the credit card information which is expired now! Now my account is being charged (even though the card expired!) and I am trying to figure out how to completely cancel it. I guess I will be calling their "customer service" and hope I can get someone I can understand (since I'm partially deaf from antibiotic overdose) or else I guess I'll be getting an attorney!!!
