Tesla customer service very suck

I love my 2020 Tesla model S.. BUT! I was stopped at a stop light in October and got struck in the right rear of the car. The damage seemed "moderate" with the rear lower panel and right fender and wheel damaged. The initial quote was $18,000. But then the repair quote went to $48,000. In late December, I was told that Tesla could not supply the repair parts for the car so my insurance company is havaing to "Total" the car! Due to poor Tesla support, a relative small "fender bender" has resulted in perhaps a $96.000 cost to the insurance company!

I am currently leasing a Tesla model Y ( 2020- 2023). I complained about the cruise control decelerating on the highway from 75M/hr to 60m/hr and accelerating on its own. On three ocassions I also experienced a sudden surge forward at the stop sign and rear ended another vehicle. It cost me (K for the body repair. The acceleration deceleration on the highway happened multiple times on an empty Veterans Expressway in South Florida. I made an appointment with Tesla in Tampa to look into it, but they cancelled the appointment 4 times without any warning. They finally checked remotely and found no fault in the hardware?. Apparently, they tried to reach me but I was out of the country and could not respond. Now they have closed the thread and I am unable to make another appointment. Very Very disappointing. I will never recommend Tesla to my family and friends nor will I go for another Tesla. Their customer service stinks.

Bought a Model X plaid. Delivery day came, drove to Austin Pond Springs Tesla Service Center and feels like I'm going to an auto body shop. Hard to find a customer parking spot and the service agent gave me about total of 10mins under a white tent in front of their service garage... Not talking about Land Rover or Mercedes, but a Toyota dealership would outperform this by a mile.

Got the car home, found no key fobs (All Tesla official education/tutorial materials indicate I supposed to have it). Tried to call local support, got redirected, waited 30mins and gave up. Found out online it's part of their cost cutting measures... Really, $175 cost cutting on your flagship model.

Day 2, paired phone not working. Drove to service center. Saw grand total of one service agent at the desk. Finally got my turn and was told nobody can take a look at the 2 day old car and I have to submit a service ticket. The scheduled ticket is 1 week away, so I bough the key fob so I don't have to swipe the key card to lock/unlock the car while waiting for service. And you know what, the brand new key fob won't pair with the car. The desk agent tried to help but to no avail, so I have to add THAT to my ticket.

Waiting patiently for Tesla mobile technician to show up a week from now.

We bought 2021 Tesla Model Y in March 2021, in October 2022 my wife was driving in highway with normal speed, suddenly car spin and first hit highway jersey wall damaging left rear fender, bumper and trunk, then spin and hit front left fender, bumper and fronk. I called Tesla and reported to them, do not hear anything from them, called again, and again then called NHSA they said called tesla, called Consumer Product Safety Commission, they said call Tesla. This is the safety issue. I advised owner of Model Y to be very careful, and Tesla to pay attention to their customer safety and well being rather than number of cars sold every year. Tesla customer service is the worst, you have to stay on line more than one hour, customer service they do not know their job, and they are rude.

I booked a Tesla 3 model this May 2022 and was awaiting my turn. I paid $250 as a down payment. On 13th October 2022 I get a message on Tesla site that my car will be ready with a vin number soon for delivery. I had to leave out of the country due to emergency in my family so I called the Tesla dealership where I was to pick up the car and they told me that since I could not pick up I would be placed back on waitlist and I would get my delivery date not sooner then a month. Since I was to return by then I placed my car on hold for my next turn when the vin number was assigned to me on 17 th October 2022. To my surprise the same vin number was given to me on 27 th October 2022 again. Since it was the same vin number I wrote an email to Ms. Katie Crabb, one of Tesla online sales person in charge of my order, that I had requested to go back in waitlist line as I could not pick up the car with the same vin number that was sent to me on 17 October 2022 as I was out of the country due to emergency. Please advise as to why I am asked to pick up the car with the same vin number. She replied saying this is the vin given to you to pick up your car on 27 October 2022. She never explained that this was the second vin number and final one and if I don't pick up then my order will be cancelled! I sent a couple of email to Ms. Katie Crabb asking her again and again that since it's the same vin number was it for the first order, but no reply from her. What lousy customer service for a senior citizen like me. I finally was told my order was cancelled and they will neither refund me $250 nor use the same downpayment to book again!
I email to her supervisor Mr. W. Secor from Tesla explaining the same but no reply since 25 days from him either. I send several reminders too to answer to my email yet no reply from the supervisor Mr. W Secor. I was really surprised and upset that a company like Tesla has no time or makes no effort to connect with their customers. All Tesla is interested is to collect as many down payments they can get to cancel orders. I was given wrong information by Tesla that it would atleast be a month before my next vin number was assigned but I was never assigned another vin number but the first vin that I had asked to hold and put me at the back of the line as waitlist. We senior citizen are not used to buying cars on line so it's all new to us and Tesla is very tricky to make us believe that the first vin number will be different from the second vin number and that the second vin number would be allotted after atleast 3-4 weeks and I was allotted the same vin number in 10 days. Please be careful as Tesla is based on lies and no response from either the sales person allotted nor the mangers to help. It takes hours on the phone to reach customer Service. They are Fraud. Go use the dealership to buy cars but not Tesla. With this experience how can anyone trust Tesla as when we have problem with Tesla cars they will NOT be there to answer our questions. All they are interested in filling their pockets with as much money they can get by canceling Orders and No Reply either for emails sent.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered in Dubai. Let alone the huge delays in delivery without even a proper notification...now that my car is already in the country, they are still giving me hell
They sent me an email giving me a week to finalize my loan just before the weekend without attaching the essential documents the bank needs to process the loan..THEY NEVER REPLY TO EMAILS, I had to call them and waited for 20-40 minutes until they replied and sent me the documents
The same thing happened with the next step, they sent me sms saying that my VCC is now uploaded to my account and I need to get the insurance done within 48 hours! And guess what!! There was no VCC uploaded to my account...again you have to call and wait so that they send it...no matter how many emails you send, nothing gets done until you call
You have no idea how unhelpful the customer service agents are and how little information they are willing to give you
Even the little information you get is always inaccurate and contradictory
My car has been registered for 3 days and still I can't get accurate information on the time or even the mode of delivery
Some agents say I have to pick it up and some say it will be delivered
They assign you random delivery date and time on the app without consulting with you on your availability and when we called them to schedule a suitable delivery date and time they said we don't even know when we are going to deliver your car...what's on the app is just an estimated date
Very long horrible story short...the presale
experience is a total nightmare
In all the years I have liven in Dubai, I have never seen such a long and inconvenient experience buying a car. It always took my 2 visits to the agency, a down payment and a couple of signatures to get the car

My sister bought a Tesla three months ago. And it has been in the shop for about two months out of the three months that she's owned it. Every time she gets it back, something else goes wrong, and she hast to take it back to the shop. We are very dissatisfied in the automobile, and it is for sale now.

Bad experience! They didn't provide me right documents to registration. Spent hours at DMV and called Tesla doesn't answer phone

The customer service is extremely bad. It is unprofessional and unwilling to give any help. They did a diagnosis on my vehicle. But the only thing I know is that The HV battery need to replaced. Since the model S is only 8 years/88k miles (just passed the warranty of 8years), I wanted to learn if I may see the report. However, They first say no report, then they say they can't let me see the report. Finally they postponed my scheduled service date. They are not helping at all. They appeared to be the one in charge and the customer seems to be the dirt ! I hope they may change the altitude when they talk to the customer.

Tesla Service is absolutely awful. It has taken two months to get control arms replaced. They replaced windshield and now it leaks. They want to charge me for a second one because they say they don't warranty windshields. No joke. First you schedule a service issue. Then they schedule you three weeks out and diagnose the problem. Then they schedule you to come back in another 4 weeks to have the problem repaired. All the while they send you snarky text responses to your questions and tell you how all of this is your fault. They all need service at some point. I don't see this getting better any time soon. This was also the second time this happened. The first time was for severe shaking during acceleration. Same awful experience. Takes weeks to fix and you have to deal with snarky, condescending text messages on the app. BOTTOM LINE: DONT BUY A TESLA.

Tesla Energy is easily the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. Given what you pay for solar panels and battery back-up (about as much as for an upscale new car), you'd think a company with $17 billion in the bank could put in place at least an average customer service department. Forget it. A brief synopsis:
1) My Solar/Powerwall system was installed by Tesla on 1/18/21
2) Tesla forgot to put a metal tag on my exterior meter/shutoff box per local utility regs. This is a REQUIREMENT to get Permission To Turn On (PTO). But despite numerous calls to Tesla by both myself AND the local utility company to remedy this, and constantly hearing from Tesla that they'd be right out to do it, nothing would ever happen. Both I and the local utility finally gave up calling them. My ace in the hole was that this was a cash sale; at some point Tesla would want to be paid. And when they called to get their money, THAT'S when I'd tell them I'd be glad to pay them if they'd put the $&@!! metal tag on so I could turn my $44K system on! Sure enough, in mid-June (remember, Tesla installed my system in mid-JANUARY!), I got a call from Tesla's Accounts Receivable Dept. demanding payment. "Funny you should ask," I replied. And when I told them why I hadn't paid, after a few "OMG's" from the nice AR lady, lo and behold a nice Tesla Installer FINALLY came out THE NEXT DAY and installed the metal tag. Money is a great motivator. But it still took 5 MONTHS to get PTO!!! And after making sure my system was operating properly, I paid Tesla in full. I thought my nightmare had ended. It hadn't. And now I'd have NO ace in the hole.
3) In mid Dec-2021, a little less that 6 months of smooth operations by my Tesla Solar/Powerwall system, it stopped working! Long story short, it was the Solar Edge (3rd Party) solar inverter that failed. But it wasn't clear at first what the problem was, and the local, overworked Tesla Service Tech didn't properly document what was wrong. I finally had to get involved by making numerous phone calls to Solar edge AND Tesla to get to the point of isolating that it was, indeed, the Solar Edge inverter. So, finally in January, 2022, a replacement Solar inverter was ordered. It finally arrived in MAY. That's right - 5 more months went by even though I personally was expediting both Tesla and Solar Edge. Soooo... the replacement Inverter was installed on May 16th. And then the system failed again 2 weeks later! Now I'm REALLY getting angry.
4) This time it wasn't the Inverter, it was something about the Tesla installation where a metal bar was touching something else causing the system to fail. Tesla Energy Service came out again. But the tech said that a Module was fried now and would have to be replaced. But he was able to rewire my system to bypass the 3 panels that were affected by the fried module. So, my system is now working at 90% until the new module is replaced.

It is now September, 2022, 21 months since my $44K 10 kW Tesla Solar/battery backup system was installed. And it has only worked as advertised for 5 months!! Even though there are NO moving parts and it's not a complicated install. I'm supposed to get the replacement module installed next week. I'll believe it when I see it. Tesla's cars are great! But I will be looking elsewhere If I ever want to get a Solar/Battery again. I wouldn't wthis experience on my worst enemy.

Tesla Customer Service as well as Tesla Finance are maybe the two worst organizations I have ever encountered. I would suggest that they aren't even trying. From having no actual human being to handle issues, to weeks to return an email, to a broken financial system, to the inability to handle 3rd party payments, to unwillingness to even offer their customers a "title" upon purchase, their service is so bad it is mind boggling. If they didn't have a virtual monopoly on charging stations they would never keep an actual customer. Great car. Terrible service. The very worst I have experienced.

I had the privilege of dealing with Tesla customer service while getting the run around on where my vehicle was. It was delayed in transit for 4 days and no one could give me an actual date for arrival. The only representative that was helpful and I would give 5 stars to was Darius T. He went above and beyond when helping and even called back after delivery to check in with us. All the other representatives basically told me only what I wanted to hear. Absolutely the worst car buying experience of my life.

Absolutely horrendous. It'd be more apt to refer to it as 'Customer disservice'. Still waiting on hold going on 40 minutes to speak with a rep., asking simple question.

We are on our way to vacation with two kids. At the supercharge station, our car didn't supercharge. So we called customer service and got extremely horrible response. We were asked to drive 50 miles to the service center with 60 miles of battery left. 100 degree temperature, we were scared to use the ac as we didn't want to use any extra battery. Reached to the service station with 5 miles of battery left. They couldn't figure out the problem at service station and asked us to rent a car for our trip. And top of all these, the were not allowed to drive us to care rental place. They also didn't have any spare Tesla for us. It is a horrible horrible situation and

I've had a Tesla model X for five years. I've watched the customer service deteriorate from luxury car standards befitting a six-figure purchase to a standard worse than what I remember my Honda dealer gave me. The build quality has always been poor, the saving grace was with less moving parts, there was less to go bad. Over time, engineering defects came to light, with structural components of the car unable to bear the increased torque and acceleration the car was famous for. Unfortunately as the car has deteriorated with stock bin components rusting, a huge expansion in ownership of lower cost models meant that the profit margin has decreased, pressure on employees has increased and the service quality has dropped precipitously.
Now everybody is being treated like they have bought an entry-level car and should be grateful to have a Tesla at all. Frankly at this point I dread dealing with service issues through their God-awful app, and found going to the dealership only a marginally better way of communicating the car's service needs and minimizing the impact of losing my mode of transport. When I mentioned this to the beleaguered service advisor at my local Tesla service station his reply was: "We have too many customers coming in per day. There is no comparison between Tesla today and 5 years ago." At this point, instead of being customer oriented, Tesla employees' attitude is "take it or leave it"
As soon as there is another car offering similar technology with better quality and service, trust me, I will take that.

The very worst company regarding customer service . Good car but just wait till you have a service issue and just want to communicate regarding issues payment or any other comments. You will only here crickets. I am so frustrated regarding service and lack of communication I will likely sell my car

SOLAR ENERGY RESIDENTIAL: I'd give 0 stars if that was an option. I am a 10 year solar customer here in a 20 yr contract. Horrible customer service under name "Solar City" and non-existent under Tesla name. Refuse to speak with customers to resolve unique or technical or panel related issues (did you know they attract wildlife who install themselves and damage your roof, home and Tesla does not resolve the issues aka mitigate damages?) Even when they cause a problem during a rare onsite repair for which you are expected to wait months and then 6hrs on the day, and they turn off your system, Tesla Solar Energy refuses to provide fair credit for your losses and still bills you for your monthly payment for a service you are not receiving.
Further, if you can even get to the point of scheduling a service call onsite, after hours of multi-level/multi-modality attempts, they do NOT honor their scheduled appts (despite essentially requiring customers to take a day off work to wait for them). Then when they leave not having finished that work and your system is off, they do not come back the next day or even the same week, and you are required as the customer to start the multi-layered excruciating process of getting to scheduling dept to schedule a new "appt"....maybe 9 days out, maybe a month out, with another 6hr window even if it is a short fix they themselves said would take a few minutes.
They refuse to escalate unique or urgent situations to Supervisors or Management or provide access numbers to relevant depts, saying 'there are no supervisors'. ?!?! Such hubris to lie so openly.
I am locked into a 20 yr lease with this unethical and unscrupulous company, my system has never performed to estimated expectations and now I have urgent issues causing consequential damages that they refuse to even speak to me about, let alone resolve.

After hours of holds and being repeatedly passed around and back to original human who says he can't do anything for you, once you do get to a human, their scripted reply is "I'll put it in my notes." No one from Tesla ever follows up on those 'notes'.
The stress feels like it has taken years off my life, since their lack of performance and product is now responsible for home damage. Evidently they think we will just go away if they make it hard enough. Not when we are stuck with their panels on our roof and 10 more years of a contract. Sadly, I cannot see any options at this point other than legal. :-(. Avoid at all costs for the sake of your home and your health.

I really hope people read this before they purchase the Tesla, you will be so thankful. But if you already bought, don't expect any service at all from this company, they are ghost. Even you can reach them when serious things happen they never care, you have to wait, like a very very long time. Simply put it's just nightmare.

Horrible service, I have a flat tire, contacted road side assistance and was only offered a tow to a service center. I have an extra tire wheel I had repaired after I had a cracked wheel so I would have a spare. Tesla told me they offered loaner wheels when purchasing my vehicle and now they won't come and service my car unless I have it towed to the service center and I am without my car. Got hung up on three times because they refuse to provide the service as agreed upon by their roadside assistance people. I had went and bought 4 brand new tires today at the Tesla dealership but can not have them installed until tomorrow and couldn't drive all the way to Tesla in my car on the tire that is flat. So my only option via Tesla is to be without my car and have it towed to them, instead of just letting me use my Tesla wheel and tire as a spare and have their road side assistance come out it on since no Jack or tire iron is provided. If you ever need something from Tesla do not count on the promises made about your warranty or road side assistance to be followed because they choose to not follow through

To contact the customer's service is like to win a Jackpot. But no, winning Jackpot is more likely... I'm in Poland.
All my charging invoices have wrong details, because they put it this way. If I want to change it, I have to reach the accountancy office which is in Netherlands and is only accessible thru Tesla's systems. No mail address, no phone number, anything! That is a disaster! I'm very disappointed. I was expecting much more of a company I paid a lot of money for the car, not to have a proper service.

Good car but customer service by phone is none existence. Why bother listing multiple phone numbers when no one working to help customers at the other end. To get a simple question answered I had to drive back to the dealership which was 80 miles away (one way) to get a real person to help me with my paperwork needs. If I can give Tesla phone customer service negative ratings, I would. Good car, customer service by phone SUCKS! Customers are not robots, we need real human to help us with our question and concerns.

Own a Tesla Y. Multiple recalls and difficulties with windshields cracking and having them replaced. Worst communication and customer service of any company ever. On a safety recall couldn't provide an alternative vehicle to use or even estimate the time they'd have the car. Ordered solar roof almost a year ago. Terrible communication. Finally almost a year later, 25% price hike, no guarantee the work would happen in a timely manner (solar tax incentives could disappear), and informed me the roof would only defer less than 40% of my energy use. That worked out to 100k for a solar roof that would defer about 2k of energy use a year. Financially ludicrous and environmentally irresponsible. Company is a joke.
