Our local store here in Twin Falls Idaho is a joke as far as their ads and getting their merchandise. I went in to get an item and they were out and wouldnt do a rain check and dont know if they will get any more of the item. Ask a person stocking shelves for help finding something and they didnt know and didnt even go ask anyone else either. Two young men at the register no help at all.

At the Clifton Park NY Office Depot/Office Max on 10/13/2015 I purchased 6 items. One being item number 281-536 a Dell Series 2 Color ink cartridge for $35.99 plus tax. Upon arriving home, i installed the ink cartridge in my printer, it did not work because it was empty. I called the Clifton Park store and asked to speak with the manager. A young man got on the phone. Told me to just bring it back and get another one. He was short with me on the phone, to the point where I felt I was interrupting him and he did not want to take my phone call. The store location is a good 30 minute ride for me one way. I just wanted to be sure there was another in stock before I made the trip again. On 10/18/2015 I returned and exchanged my empty cartridge for another. This time when I went to install the ink cartridge in the printer I opened the box (which showed no damage) the ink cartridge inside was not in a foil pouch and was a black cartridge not color! I was very upset. I did not call the store I returned to the CP store on 10/25/2015 and went directly to the check out desk and asked to speak to the manager. I waited 3 minutes then I asked again for the manager and was it was pointed out to me that he was at the print shop area and I went to him. He identified as Tony and I explained my unsatisfied two transactions with Office Max and he walked with me to get another cartridge and said that's the way it is do you want another cartridge or not?... No professional understanding or courtesy was extended to me for my trouble. I have been a customer of Office Max for many years and have bought many school supplies, ink cartridges, etc. I very much resented the way I was spoken to and treated. The third cartridge is working and when I need to have more in the future I will think about whether I want to return to Office Max or not....as of this writing, probably not.

I'm a business owner and busy. Lines are terrible always at the Hampton, Va. Store. Here I am again in line. Lady in front of me just left upset. Also new extra help from 4 to 6. 45 minutes last time to get waited on.

Refused to fix a defective printer issue when the product was only used once.

I suggest that you invest in decent equipment for your department that creates pads, booklets, invitatons, etc. for the piblic. I recently gave the local store my business. I needed some padding done. I provided the supplies and had it set up just as I wanted. It was due on 9/19 but was finished on the 20th. Since that was a Sunday I went to pick my order up the next day. The workmanship was horrible to put it nicely. They were to redo it and I was to pick it up today 9/25. It was not ready because an employee who cares about the quality of her work has spent a great deal of her time making sure that the job was done well. Unfortunately the quality and lack of equipment needed has meant a simple job is made most time consuming. I have no idea at this time how much it will cost me but because of the attitude of corporate headquarters and the people in charge of keeping the equipment in good working order I doubt I will be giving you anymore of my business and I had plans to do so for Christmas gifts. I have some suggestions if you are interested. I have worked in bindery and I am trained in the printing/graphics field.

Worst customer service ever!! I shop for all office and school supplies for years at OfficeMax (well shopped). I've never felt so low in my life after walking out of 2 of your stores, transit rd and main st in buffalo, ny. I have been searching for laptop deals so I could have enough laptops for the free after school program I have for neighborhood kids. I found a competitors coupon that allowed me to have enough money to buy what I needed. I traveled around and finally found these 3 stores had what I needed. 1 store had 1, another 1 and the other store had the other 4 I needed. The first store on milestrip gave me no problem, but the other 2 were a different story. Gave me the hardest time. After tony on main st called the district mgr she told him that it is company policy and to sell me the laptop. Ok cool. I go back to the other store and Michael wisnewski the mgr made me feel so aweful saying he doesn't care what the DM said he aint calling her and refused to sell me the laptops with my coupons. Great, now don't have enough laptops for the kids. Thanks office max. Will NEVER step foot in an office max or depot again and every person I know and every social media site I belong too will know also.

I ordered a putty-color 4-drawer filing cabinet online. A black filing cabinet was delivered to my front porch instead. Instead of removing the item and delivering the correct one, their only "solution" is to cancel my order, send the delivery company back to pick up the item from my house, and eventually refund my money. Then I would have to reorder and hope for a better outcome. After this experience I doubt that I'll be taking that chance. I've sent emails and gotten 2 identical emails from different customer service representatives that were worded in such a way that it was apparent they only handle "returns," not really replacing bad deliveries. I'm very disappointed in the lack of accommodation.

Since this merger a customer cannot order by phone or online. Your customer service people are not trained in your products, how to take an order, how to talk to or deal with people. Get someone that speaks English to answer your phones. Put out the correct phone numbers for the customer to make an order. Your company is now very unpleasant to try and deal with, let alone try to order from. Your changes are unproductive, unpleasant, and very frustrating. I will try to avoid your company in the future.

Hi my name is Marissa. I have a complaint following the monroeville office max. Last week I went into the store and saw a note that was written about me saying that I could not send pictures to the store in the quantity I had. So I sent over pictures today and was told no one could edit my pictures for me. I have had nothing but horrible experiences with Saran. On top of that Dixie makes excuses for everything wrong Saran does. My brother was killed and I get pictures of him printed for crafts I make in his memory. I can not believe I am being treated like this. I spent a lot of money with this company . So I tested what they said and had a friend send a email asking for pictures to be sized and it was done for them. I feel as though I am being discriminated against. My friend is a lawyer I will have them look into this if this is not handled properly. Thank you

I'm finished with Office Max. I made a purchase via credit card and when the credit card statement came in it showed a charge for $11.00 more than the receipt from the store for the purchase I made. This is not the first time either - every time I go in there and buy something, the price charged at the register is higher than the shelf tag which shows price. I'm sure the don't need my measly couple of hundred dollars per year, and I don't need their bait-and-switch business tactics any more, either.

I'm a new customer, just opened up am account with your company. I'm a little upset that your company didn't honor a special promotion for Microsoft Office. Your company forgot to ask me about microsoft office during the time of purchase for a computer. At that point your promotion says I can get it for free. Your company refused to honor the promotion when I brought it up. I'm dissapointed that your company you allow your employees not to honor promotions and it shows that you're a company with low standards. At this point I'm conserving closing my account with you and taking my business some where else. But, you have one great employee. His name is Marc Concepcion at your your santa clara office.

Last night around 8pm, I went into your store in Hampton, VA in order to fax a few documents.

There were only three or four customers in the stores, and the five employees present were hardly helpful with my request. I found the right machine after asking around and was told to do it by myself. The faxing process was slow that it took altogether 20 mins to fax 14 sheets and get the proof statement in the end. I was told to take it to the cashier and when it was rung up, I got the shock of my life ! the total came to $ 26.52 for sending 14 sheets [which I had to do by myself.... allow me to repeat that again!]. When asked for an explanation, I was told that they charged $1.99 per sheet; I requested to see the manager to verify this and:

1] at no point when I first walked in and talked to the staff, I was told how much it was going to cost.

2] the small sign they had next to the fax machine [which the manger showed me later to my astonishment!] was placed next to a much bigger one [showing some irrelevant 'ad'] facing away from the customer, in a way that was IMPOSSIBLE to notice !!

3] I paid the amount in cash and left the store in disgust, vowing never to return !!

4] Until recently, I was sending and receiving UNLIMITED faxes at home through Vonage for a total monthly fee of $55, which also included a land-line to make national and international calls !!!

This is a sneaky, duplicitous way of "price-gouging" an unwary customer that simply amounts to e-x-t-o-r-t-i-o-n!

I demand a full refund [or at the most charging 10c a sheet]; otherwise I will not step into anyone of your stores again and I will let my friends and family know what happened and make sure that they all boycott your business.

Thank you.

Paul Augustine

OfficeMax customer service is general seems to be more of an attempt of how to get out of helping the customer then standing behind the products they sell. As a teacher I was gifted a Stanley Bostitch pencil sharpener that has performed miserably. The sharpener does not sharpen pencils to even expose the tip. Went into the store and called customer service(which is from an offshore call center) and was told to contact Stanley Bostitch directly. Just another company with the mindset that the bottom dollar is more important than the consumer.

Purchased a new pc @ OfficeMax. Their ad said that they would install Windows 10 for free. They were willing to do that, but the person in charge at the store said they had not done any upgrades/installs of Windows 10 & so, was unfamiliar of the process. I ended up taking the pc home & doing it myself. But, I think if they advertise this service, the company should train their people on how to do it!

I just spoke to customer service rep Chelsea at this . she was very, very rude and it was office max's error, however she also failed to apologize, but instead tried to place the blame on me, the customer

In August of 2014, I purchased a printer from Office Max. Four months later, it started displaying manufacture defaults. I contacted the store where I bought it from in May and explained that I lost my receipt, however I did have a receipt for something else I purchased that sameday, so I thought that would help. Contacted Customer Service and explained my dilemma. The agent took my information and said I should receive an email with further information on what to do next. It's now April 15, and I haven't heard from Anyone!

At work, I was given some officemax anti-static monitor wipes.I tried to get a wipe out and my finger (which is not large ) got stuck in the opening where the wipes are dispensed . I had a hard time getting it out because the plastic is very hard ..I had to pry it out with some scissors . By the time I got it out, my finger was bleeding .Just letting you know , you need to make the opening more soft and flexible ..Thanks

We purchased approximately 3-4 dozen 50 count DVD-r and a couple 100 count stacks as well over the last 4 years. I was wondering if I could return the three stacks left over with my receipt for store credit? Our project is done and I would like to have that option for the next project.. Guess I'll find out when I go down there! Thanks

The currently have listings for gondola fixtures, pallet jacks, pallet racks, a safe, and stocking/order pulling ladder for sale.

However NO WHERE in their ad does it say that the purchaser has to have a million dollar General liability policy to purchase the safe, or pallet racks.

But their manager says this is the case after you waste your time, and money to travel to their location... Then on top of this he says these items must be paid for, and pick up has to be scheduled with the proof of million dollar general liability insurance..

This amounts to false advertising because no where in their advertising on Craigslist did they mention that the purchaser would be required to have million dollar general liability insurance to pick the items up, or that the items listed would not be available until an unknown date.

But to the managers credit, he did acknowledge that their used pallet racking was being sold for more than you could buy brand new pallet rack from warehouserack.com.(also located in San Antonio and actually listed right next to their posting in Craigslist)

However I was going to buy the OfficeMax pallet rack because it was closer to the house even though it was used and cost a little more than the new pallet rack from warehouserack.com

But in the end because of this deceptive listing practices of OfficeMax for their store fixtures, and their lack of understanding why they should put such information such as their insurance requirements of the buyer in the their postings for their store fixtures and only listing the address so the only way to know is to travel there with the intent of buying the fixtures only to find out that you would be required to have a million dollar insurance policy and pay or put a deposit for them to call at some future date to schedule for you to pick he item up.

Then when you show the posting, they say well it should be obvious to anybody wanting to buy store fixtures! They see no reason to put that in the posting. REALLY??????? How many people wanted to buy the pallet rack for garage shelving??????????? did ANY of them know, or think it would be obvious they would need a million dollar general liability policy?????????

I tell them this, and that I'm not happy about my waste of time and transportation to come all the way to their store only to find out the hidden details. Their response was total indifference, reiterating that it should be assumed that buying such items would require the general liability policy.

I redeemed all of my loyalty rewards on my way out on items that could be donated, because I want nothing to do with anything from OfficeMax after this incident.

They have lost a good customer over this, in the future I will be spending the little extra in transportation to go to the staples store instead. I know they are a little more expensive, and their loyalty program is not quite as good. BUT they do put all the information in their advertising, and I believe they would even if it were advertising for their used store fixtures.

After all I WAS willing to pay a little more to OfficeMax for their pallet racking, than new pallet racking fromuntil their listing became a whole waste of transportation, and time for everybody!!!!!!!!!

I went to the OfficeMax in San Antonio, TX at Bandera Rd. and Loop 1604 on March 2nd, 2015 at approximately 6:40 p.m.. I was AMAZED at the indifference shown by employees as customers waited in a line without someone at the usual cash register. Somehow the customers were just expected to "Know" to go to the other window where orders are usually picked-up. When I told the woman at that window about the situation she literally took no action to solve the situation. She was completely indifferent. I saw another employee leave out the front door after observing customers in the line without someone manning the cash register.

Being a regular at this store I know that the cash register at by the door is the one that is supposed to be used.

I have gone there for my ink cartridges and other supplies for the last time. I can understand some glitches in customer service - but indifference is completely inexcusable.

Today Feb. 6, 2015, i and my visited one of your locations in Toledo, Ohio 845 West Alexis. We went in to pick up an online order that we had placed, during our visit my wife wanted an additional item now at this point all the ordered items were paid for.

As we sought out to add 1 additional order at the person in which we believe to be a heavy set white Caucasian (female) who gave us a card which read Beth Draeger told i and my wife that completing the order depended on what type of mood she was in.

After i confronted her she fulfilled the order but this highly bad customer service and i know that this is not the image you want to send out for your customers. .....this matter was reported to consulting advisor Brad.

P.S. mind you i and my wife are of African-American descent. ...one would get the wrong impression and think this had turned Racial

Bought a Toshiba laptop w/extended warranty. After 2 weeks it quit working, took it back to the store and my salesman said to send it to the manufacturer at my expense because they only sell products and have nothing to do with them afterward. He would not even look at it. Buy elsewhere and save yourself grief. We waited 'til the manufacturer,s 1 year warranty was up then got it fixed ( bad hard drive )with the other company. No help from OfficeMax.

Terrible. I went to a store for a toner cartridge and was greeted by the casher very nicely and taken to the area of cartridges. She turned me over to the man in the department who was talking on his headset. He started to help me, but then seemed distracted by his headset. Then he looked for the product briefly and then went around the corner and continued to talk on the headset. I was left without help. I found out that he was doing f#*!^*!# inventory with the manager. Really?? Inventory over customers?? I will never step foot in that store again. Sorry guys, your store on Chandler Blvd just lost about 3k in sales per year. Good luck.

I have not used my account since changing schools. The user name nor the password reset I ask for assigned by your company does not exist. I called to get pricing for durable binders (needed 520 each) and was told by 3 different representatives that I would be sent this information via email. I have not received such nor have I gotten a return call from the division representative. I am now searching elsewhere for my $2,300 purchase.
