I've only dealt with LG customer service twice, both for my vacuum. The first time we determined that I just needed a part and if I was willing to install it myself, they would send it out right away at no charge to me. The second time the issue was not something I could fix myself, so they sent me a FedEx box with instructions for how to pack up my vacuum and FedEx came and picked it up. The had my vacuum back to me in less than 5 business days and it's like brand new. They even replaced some parts on it that I didn't ask them to. It works better than new. Customer services has been a pleasure to deal with. I am surprised at the negative ratings!

no to be a jerk but i do understand where your coming from but as well as u have to understand where consumers are comeing from. if someone spends 3000 on a product they expect a working product. everyting has somekind of 1 year warrenty and if you read all the comments most of them were within their one year. i understand somepeople want something for nothing and all products are not perfect. but when u do spen that 3000 and 2 months later the company will not back up their warrenty people tend to get a bit frusterated as u can imagine. i myself do think LG is a good company as i had a many problems with my led tv and took sevral months and 3 tvs later to get it right. but in the end they did get it right and i am satified. i did customer service for LG/Panasonic SAMMY and many more companies and yes they do all differnt ways and yes, they are there for your help and support hense CUSTOMER SUPPORT but sometime you get the wrong rep over and over again and get very pointless and frusterating,

again wasnt trying to be a jerk just saying both sides

Update on my experience.
It took a while to get the communication straight but once we did a box was sent and we packed our vac up and sent it in. Was shipped and they got it Feb 13th and we had it back repaired by the 18th. That's a super fast turn around.
We are very happy so I wish I could remove my negative given before the 13th.

I purchased a new smart dishwasher 2 weeks before christmas and it broke down on the second day. I called and a service tech was due to come out 3 days later. In the mean time the error disappeared. I immediately called them back to cancel the tech becuase if he didn't see the error i would be charged $120 call out fee.
1 week after Christmas i woke to water over the kitchen floor and the power was tripped in the house.
I called LG the tech came the next day said it was a faulty unit and 1 week later they dropped off a new unit and took the old one.

Overall the service was good, but beware if they don't find a problem on the day, they do charge.

First of all I don't believe LG's customer service is anything less than outstanding----once you get through to them. Getting there is another story. The 'Pathway' that they provided me was terrible. I wrote them---they responded immediately with a 'form' that gave me two options to contact them and make a warranty claim. Neither option worked. The first---by 'chat' brought back a response that I "wasn't authorized to use chat". The second option was by email-and they provided an email form that didn't even allow me to tell them which of my machines I was having a problem with---and to make matters worse---the email came back undelivered----Wow! I called them. OK now that I had their attention they responded like I knew they would---immediate and completely and took care of my problem within two minutes of receiving the call. My personal experience---and that of other friends and neighbors that have LG appliances---is nothing short of Great---In all my years of experience with their competitors in the area of customer service, LG stands head and shoulders above them all

LG Fridge 31 cu. ft. starting making noise. Called customer service they scheduled a tech for the next day. LG Tech (James in So. Cal.)can out at the time scheduled. He knew exactly what the issue was swapped out the part and upgraded my software. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Great job LG you need more employees like James.

The gentleman that was in charge of my call was incredibly professional. Due to the fact that what I wanted doesn't, in fact, exist yet, this young man was still able to defuse my animosity towards the situation. He has customer service skills that are being wasted where he is.v

My ST600 recently stopped working after an automatic software update.

I contacted LG via email and facebook and was called soon after by Norma from LG.

Given that this seemed to happen simultaneously to alot of other users, LG have responded quickly and fixed my unit up.

I was very happy with the personal service I received via telephone from Norma and the reasonably quick fix.

We bought a 55 inch LED about a year ago. About 9 months after purchase, just ONE pixel went bad (tiny green dot that was always visible). We made contact with a local LG repair center to inquire of the seriousness (or not) or this issue. Within 10 days, we had a BRAND NEW 55 inch LED, 3-D, Blu-ray package television!!!! Our model was no longer made by LG, so they gave us one that was exactly the same $ we spent on the original purchase, which turned out to be a BETTER tv than what our money bought a year ago. We found them to be EXCELLENT to work with and we were SHOCKED to have such SUPERIOR customer service. Our only problem in this matter was they kept saying they sent information to us by email that we never did receive. However, phone contact was made to them again and we were given the info we needed to make the trade in. We were ecstatic to have such wonderful and amazing warranty recognition!!!

Spoke with CS Rep 'Michelle' re; not knowing anything about my carrier or model no. Only knew it was a LG product. She was amazing, listened to my dilemma, told me how to solve it and how to access the info that I needed.
Although I felt like a jerk she was the epitomy of graciousness and patience. Thank you Michelle and LG products. D.Larson, CT.

I purchased a refrigerator from LG in March. The unit is beautiful and works perfectly. I was so happy with it that I called LG and they thanked me for calling them. They are now sending me some free accessories.

I own the LG Chocolate Touch, (VX8575), and I am generally happy with it. Some things though, are plain stupid: You can't restore it to default settings, so if you calibrate the touch screen horribly, you're screwed. Also, the light sensor to deactivate the screen on the phone while calling is sketchy at best. Finally, and the reason I am posting this is because I can't find drivers for the thing, so you can't 'sync' it with any other program than Windows Media Player, (the one on XP, as I figured out after upgrading to Win7 Ultimate 64bit, is the only one that can decipher it's encryption. 11 just, (and you would think this is normal), puts the/an MP3 on the disk, (that's how Androids work)).

David from LG was very helpful in helping me obtain resolution for my unit which has been under repair by a local servicer while under warranty. If everything goes as per the conversation we had today, then LG is getting a bad rap. So far, I have to say they are doing a pretty good job in taking care of the issue on my 60" LCD tv.

When the ice-maker in my 6 mo. old LG refriderator suddenly quit working, I immediately Googled it, looking for troubleshooting info. I stumbled upon this forum and others like it and was shocked at how horrible LG's customer service and product reputations are. I suddenly thought that I had made a terrible decision buying an LG fridge (still to be determined). I called RC Willey, where I purchased said fridge and they gave me LG's customer service number. Hesitantly, and ready to fight, I dialed the number. I was immediately thrust into voicemail hell, but fingered my way to the correct department. I was on hold for maybe 5 minutes; not bad. The rep who helped me began with the usual litany of demographic information, and, after listening to the problem with the icemaker, tried to get me to troubleshoot it by turning it off and on. I explained that I did that the night before about 50 times to no avail and I went on to describe what I thought was wrong. He actually listened and decided that a tech should be sent to my home. They had an appointment available two days later; again, not bad. The time window they gave me as between 1 and 5 pm, and the tech showed up at 1:30. He opened up the icemaker, tried a couple of things, and decided to simply replace it. He was in my house for about 30 minutes and had the new icemaker working fine. Never even asked to see any receipts or warranty paperwork. I have to say, as customer service and home repair situations go, this was pretty painless. I still have my doubts about the fridge itself, but the customer service department did fine by me. Just thought you should know.

I had questions about a new LG cell phone that the service provider could not answer. I received prompt courteous service and, although the service that I wanted was not available on this model, I was very satisfied with the attention and great service!

My 50"LG plasma dies on me. It was out of warranty (4 years old). I emailed their customer service with a fairly bitter complaint. They got back to me within a few hours. Over the next couple of days they offered to cover the cost of parts but not labor for my repair. The TV required a new panel (basically the heart of the TV is the panel and its cost was over $700). I paid for labor (~$200) and got the TV back in fine working order. I am very happy with LG customer service.

We purchased a 47" LG LCD TV less than two years ago. It has been used no more than a few hours per-week. Two days ago it suddenly started turning itself on and flashing a "that function is not available" in the middle of the screen. The bottom line is that the "main board" is blown. $600 to repair which is 1/2 the cost of the set. Don't buy LG. You will be sorry. I'm going back to Video Only to have words with them about selling junk but doubt they will do anything. Next stop Costco and the 2 year warranty. Probably a Vizio replacement. I used their chat service which was very helpful up the point where it was established service was required. Then it was "here are 3 phone numbers you can try".
They couldln't solve my problem but were helpful in diganosing the problem.

I just got off the phone with LG's customer service and I couldn't be happier! I bought a bluetooth headset less than two months ago and the ear loop snapped off. I went back to the verizon store where I bought the bluetooth and they sent me on a wild goose chase then told me to call LG and maybe they could help.

The service rep I spoke with was very friendly and helpful and is sending me a new ear loop in the mail free of charge!
