I bought a VX2252mh it never did produce a good sharp picture on any PC I used with the monitor. I just figured that I bought a pretty cheap model and this was just typical. Until couple years later I purchased a Dell monitor about on par with Viewsonic in specs. It was so much sharper with same PCs and connections. I was blown away about how better it was to look at.
I contacted Viewsonic support but they offered little but canned messages to troubleshoot. In the end I concluded that the Dell actually had a IPS screen while the Viewsonic was using a TN screen. I guess maybe Viewsonic wanted a slightly faster response time? Or just wanted to save money by using a TN screen vs a IPS one? I've read other reviews on higher tier Viewsonic which have issues as well. I doubt I will buy another Viewsonic monitor, I own two Dell's now both of which I am more satisfied with than the Viewsonic.
