We purchased the very expensive Acer Swift7, SF713-51-M7ER, Model: N16Q11 (60k+). We should have known something was already wrong when the cashier attempted to charge us twice for the unit due to her own error. For the first 6 months, the unit worked well- in fact we were quite impressed with the travel size and features. Sadly, it was not long before the SSD drive failed and the laptop would not recognize the hardware. All data, photos, and music lost in a instance. More importantly, both the Negros Oriental and Cebu Acer dealers designated for tech support would nor could not fix nor replace the SSD drive and refused to reinstall the operating system even we could find another SSD drive similar to the mini SSD inside the laptop (apparently smaller than the average laptop SSD). Soon after, the system gel battery failed and began expanded in the unit. The bottom of the laptop was separating from the chassis and had to be removed. In the process, a few screws were lost. Bottomline, no one would repair the unit during the warranty period nor after the warranty ended! We gave up on their horrible support and simply fixed the laptop ourselves through other support services. Sadly, we have purchased a few Acer products with similar horrendous support. Though we just saw the whole incident as just another wake up call for us to avoid any Acer product for life, we thought maybe better to share this with anyone thinking about buying an acer product. Think again and again and again and then don't! The Acer typical response from their support team- suggesting Lazada/Shopee support: Hello J, Thank you for reaching out. As per checking , the unit already reached end of support in Acer. Parts are no longer supported and available in our inventory. I highly suggest bringing the laptop in any third-party service center for repair (i.e. SM Cyberzone, GIlmore, Greenhills, etc.) and online store for purchasing of parts like Shopee and Lazada. They might still have available components for your unit. Thank you for choosing ACER!
