TD just went from the most convenient bank to the least convenient bank. In order to deposit funds they now require you respond to a text and then text them your pin. The transaction took at least double the amount of time. It also makes it impossible to drop off a deposit for a friend or relative.

I get it for a withdrawal but a deposit? What moron thought of this. Time to look for a more convenient bank!

I got a rude employee and complained. The next thing I know, my account was frozen! I couldn't get my money, food, medicines, or pay my bills. It took them a week to give me my money and I was rudely treated again!

,ero stars. They literally posted a deposit on my account on an incorrect day. That's falsifying records. They can't prove to me the day they actually released the funds. NOW after the branch had to deal with me they are saying I spent all the money. Customer service was given absolute incorrect t information to pass on to me. Intentionally. SHADY ALL THE WSY. HOING HIGHER AND FURTHER THEN TD WITH THIS COMPLAINT. GET OUT!!!! I AM TOMORROW

I filed a complaint with bbb and td bank did not even respond . Very professional and admission of guilt ...

A EMPLOYEE OF TD AT THE WEST BRANT LOCATION ACCUSED ME OF ATTEMPTING FRAUD ON A PRIOR ACCOUNT IN 2021 AND CLOSED MY GOOD STANDING ACCOUNT . SHE DID NOT ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS IF I WAS AWARE OF SUCH ACCOUNT, SHE WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND USED ABUSIVE TONE OF AUTHORITY. I CALLED THE BANK TO HAVE SERVICE FEES RETURNED AS I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE $5.00 PER TRANSACTION FEE WHICH TOTALLED OVER $200 . THE EMPLOYEE RETURNED MY CALL AND SAID ALL MY INFO MATCHED TO A PRIOR PROFILE AND IM NOT WANTED AS A CUSTOMER AND MY ACCOUNT WILL BE CLOSED FOR ATTEMPTING FRAUD IN 2021. I DID NOT ATTEMPT FRAUD NOR HAD A ACCOUNT IN 2021 WITH TD. NOR DO I LIVE AT THE ADDRESS WHICH TD CHANGED WITHOUT MY CONSENT. MY ACCOUNT WAS OPENED IN February 2023 AND I PROVIDED my I.D. the account was in good standings and due to the lack of respect of TD I'm out my government funds which were taken and put towards service fees which I was disputing and this took place after the account was told to me that it was being closed. . TD has not investigated this prior profile properly as it was not me. My I.d was stolen and I put a fraud alert on my credit file which TD should've seen . They will be sued for discrimination over this and for changing my account information without validation or conformation from me that person should be fired . This is a serious and very concerning issue and needs to be delt with by the heads of TD . I'm not only innocent of the accusations by TD employees I'm now a victim.

Desired Outcome/Settlement

Desired Settlement: Other (requires explanation) To credit my account for the service fees , To investigate and take action on the employee who changed my account information

Every time I go to their any location they will never solve my problems.
I was TD Bank Location 300 W 125th St New York, NY 10027
The banker one Latin lady I met there refused to answer my question, she ignored me and took another Latin lady in her table and I confronted her she flares up, and security flare up and manager in their shift that supposed to stop the disagreement join them to attack and the manager was pushing me out of the bank. This is the worst experience. Manager, other bankers and security are unprofessional and irresponsible. Because of this I closed my account and they refused me loan I requested. They aren't nice. They nasty and ghetto. This is a ghetto Bank. Several times the banks are so mean to me. People should stop banking with them, please guys stay away from this ghetto Bank. Imagine the manager of the bank jumped on me to fight me ? The woman manager is a Ghetto

Why is there no one that answers TD costumer service phone 1-866-222-3456?! I have been calling for the past 3 days, continued to hold and waited for hours, but I have not been able to talk to an agent. Is there another way to reach the costumer service?!

Bad when you are making line waiting meanwhile others sit on their desk yawning.

In store customer service is ok. However, on-line customer service is a joke. If you try to send a message that has an apostrophe (as in a contraction (can't or possessive customer's)) it will reject the message. When you finally get a message to them with real problems, they respond that they either will consider it or that it is just the way they do things. They also like to address only part of the issue and ignore the rest.

They have the worst customer service I have ever had at a banking institution. I set up the online accounts and I still haven't even been able to look at profile. I deposited a payroll check. The woman at the bank told me $100 would be available and I ended up with -$96 on first day I cannot check what my balance is because I cannot get a hold of anyone and then they thought that I was someone else in fraudulent activity so I am kicked out of my mobile banking. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever had in the history of baking. Do not use these guys run run run as fast as you can.

Td bank is a blood sucker of peoples money, on line system down for days don't think they care

TD Bank refused to provide the immigration balance letter for the Haitian customers that requested by the US Government, I went to the branch on Merrick rd. Valley Stream NY 1158 the customer service told me the corporates office stop them to provide it to customers. I've been waiting for 2 weeks just for a simple balance letter, I called customer service they keep switching my phone call around until I got to speak to no one. all the other banks provide the balance letter on the spot. I would like to know why they even open their door for customers may be just to collect money.

TD bank is the worst bank to do financing with, these people are rip offs and the customer service agents needs to be educated about their job, will never finance anything that is connected with TD BANK any more.

I was locked out of online banking for some unknown reason. I went to bank they said I hve to hve administrator activate me when I have been online for over a year. Called 3 or 4 times and no one could help. Said they would call back with security code which never happened. I would suggest a bank with better communication and understanding that you need to access. This is a business account.

The worst, unprofessional, rude customer service ever. When other credit cards know how to treat their client like client TD personnel seems to lack the proper training.
To make a long story short; I had to call several times about fees and my credit score which was really damaged. After been transferred from one department to another and insulted by one of their agents I was asked to send an email and I was assured that if Samsung (the other party in the transaction) will refund me the late fees, TD will correct my credit score. I did and got an answer that I had to write a letter. I did that too and the answer was that the current information being reported was accurate.
Before dealing with TD Bank my credit score was over 800. Now it is around 710. Why because TD bank does not know how to treat his customers in a professional way and do not honor their promises.
My worst experience with a credit card!

I have to express my extreme frustration at the poor TD service. Absolutely unbelievable. If I could cut up this card in a second, I would - but I enjoy the Aeroplan points way too much.

I have been on hold on the PHONE for over 75 mins - being passed back and forth between departments.... Trying to find out why the FRAUD charge of $40 is still on my card. Every time I am on with someone from TD they have to pass me to another department... where I have to enter my new CC number - to which I receive an "this is an invalid number" message.... At one point I was on with someone in the STATES and they kept demanding my Social Security number. Then was disconnected.

TD may absolutely not care about my feedback (and I am sure they don't) - but TD Customer service is a joke. Com'on, make some effort to change how you assist your customers. At the very least, have all the upper management try calling the TD customer service numbers, and experience the BS and frustration like us regular folk. Maybe then, they might think to overhaul the customer service system. But, probably not.

To open an easy trade account or a tfsa or anything with direct investing td waterhouse you have to through online or call to direct investing and the worst service, lack of knowledge, and horrible inept application process where they also want you to upload your personal data, govt ID that is a non secured system, where and how it is stored info is not provided. Data mining and inept procedure and long long long waits on hold to speak to anyone who knows whats going on. In the end, just to with a diff broker and online system. waste of time and money in the end and trustrating to no end.

45 minutes hold time... finally live person... within 30 seconds so speaking, she transferred to another department... another 20 minutes of hold and I finally gave up... TD bank is a joke!

The customer service is awful. They put you on hold for ages, transfer you a million times and, after all that, fail to resolve your issue. For some mysterious reason, I lost access to online banking and they can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

Posted by Unhappy1

The following is an email I sent to TD Bank regarding the horrible experience they put me through recently:

This week you locked me out of a hotel for starters and put me on hold for 45 minutes to ultimately get my card working again.

For an even longer period of time you have locked me out of logging in to your website with an error that says error connecting to server.

On Saturday, June 11th you put me through bar none the most horrible customer service experience of my life.

I was bounced around to 6 different people over a period of well over an hour. First person said they were not the right person to talk to even though I followed your automated system pressing the number for exactly what I needed for the help with logging in to my account. This person said I needed to talk to your technical support and was going to transfer me. Instead they kicked me back to your original que as if I had just called in and I had to wait even longer for someone.

The next person apologized for the first person's failure and said they still did not know what to do to help and they would go the extra step and stay on hold with me until they got through to someone who could help. This was another 20 minutes. Eventually though I was somehow again bounced back to your original que.

Hold for another 20 minutes until someone else eventually answers and i explain the torture you put me through up to that point. She has not interested in helping me and said she would get a supervisor. This "supervisor" then told me that I was not even talking to the credit card division of TD Bank anymore!!!!!! Somehow your pathetic system bounced me into another group that did not even recognize my card number!!!!!!!! This "supervisor" then once again bounced me back to your original que line as if I had just called in and I had to wait on hold further.

This next person that I got would not help me at all and in mid-sentence transferred me to an automated line about some survey!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my entire life I have never experienced such incompetence with trying to work with a customer service organization. I gave up at that point and decide you had wasted enough of my Saturday.

My problem still exists tough of not being able to get into my account on your website.

This is wrong the way you have treated me and I WILL do something about this. In the meantime please have someone contact me that can actually help me log in to my account.

Without question I expect compensation for what you have put me through if you want to maintain me as a customer AND you prefer me not dedicating my time to aggressively spreading the word about staying away from TD Bank to my entire network or friends, family, and via social media. I promise you I will do this i you fail to act.

In the meantime I am also planning to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for how you have treated me.

Please respond.

Johnny at TD Bank Gorham, Maine is wonderful; patient, professional, and very knowledgeable with TD Bank's many programs, accounts, etc. He is a sterling representative of what TD Bank strives to be, should be and is-definitely here in Gorham Maine because of your employees like Johnny. I predict he will go far in his future with TD or any financial institution.

There's a guy working at TD Bank in Gorham named Johnny. I'm not sure what his last name is but he's extremely helpful. It's on the ball always looking out for the customer and he's very consistent in mood. This guy should be getting paid more that's just my opinion it's not easy to find good employees.

My experience with the help of Debbie Kontolios, store manager at TD Bank in Lodi N.J. has always been pleasant. Debbie is there to help costumers like me to find solutions to problems found to be impossible to solve by others. Thank you Debbie for your help and impeccable work. Thank you TD Bank for having Debbie in charge at the Lodi branch.
I will also like to commend the help of Frank R. Galarcep who helped Debbie.

After my TD Visa Infinity Card was stolen recently, I Have been reimbursed with the fraudulent transactions, something TD VIsa seems to do as a matter of course in such fraudulent use as is the case here. As an aside, I did try to have the 'TAP facility on my Visa Cards disabled some time ago however TD Visa said it could not be done. In the event of a lost or stolen card, its 'free money' for the thief until its picked up by visa, or reported stolen, whatever flags first, and simply makes this kind of theft more appealing to the thief. It seems it suites the banks to pony up for such fraudulent transactions rather than give the consumer the choice as to have the facility or not. Its not that they cannot disable this facility, they simply choose not to despite increasing numbers of account holders asking that this facility be suspended on their accounts.

I called TD with my mother to ask questions about the potential of opening a US account. We were connected to John Pardy, who has friendly, informative and a pleasure to speak with. He was engaging and asked questions and was patient in taking any information we gave. He gave us an alternative option to what we had originally planned on setting up as an account, a perspective that no one else who we had spoken to previously had given. John offered solutions and step by step instructions for my mother with online banking and whatever she needed. It is rare to receive such an amazing customer service experience so we wanted to make sure we could acknowledge it!!

I see all of these reviews are for the Amercian TD Banks. I bank with the Canadian TD and they are excellent! Fabulous customer service by phone (not off-shore) 24hrs a day. Branches open late on Thursdays and Fridays. Branches open Saturdays. Some branches open Sundays. Low rates on their Visa cards. I have been with them for about 20 years and absolutely love their service! From their website: "For the 7th year in a row, J.D. Power and Associates has ranked us "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among the Big Five Retail Banks". What makes this award so important to us is the fact that it's given by our customers." tdcanadatrust.com If you are banking in Canada, I would highly recommend.

My name is Yvonne Craig and I again find myself contracting you about an associate this time from your Chester Ave., Delran location. His name is Wesley and have found him to be quite pleasant young man. He always greets me with a smile doesn't need to ask what it is I need (since I always ask for withdrawal slip) and offers my pooch a biscuit. I am really impressed by your personnel and for the most part have a good banking experience while at your locations. So Thank You Wesley I appreciate your kindness.

Called to request specific information an auto loan that I couldn't find on the website. It was during lunch break, so I expected a wait time. The wait time they projected was two minutes, but it turned out to be around five seconds. The representative I was connected with in the loan department was very friendly and obviously knew her stuff. The call I expected to take ten minutes took less than half that.

TD Bank has always been friendly- since the recent mergers, the computer integration hasn't been smooth, but branch and telephone personnel usually try to fix things. As with any bank, much depends on the personnel at the branches. We have had very good experience, even with their system not working, we would go back and someone would figure out the problem and fix it. We enjoy the people at the old Commerce Bank locations.
