So disappointed in Neiman Marcus online ordering. I have ordered items that were on sale, only to find out a week or so later that these items were canceled. And even after receiving notice that the items are canceled, sometimes these items are still listed as available.

I ordered a bag 8 days ago, and it still says "in process". When contacting the Customer Service agent, I was told "oh, it is on backorder". I am not sure why stores -Macy's, Nordstroms, and Bloomingdales, offer customer service in the way of communicating information with their buyers. Since I waited over 8 days to even have my order shipped, I tried to cancel. They emailed back saying it had been shipped and they could not cancel, however the website order detail still shows "in process".
I understand the CEO only wants "ultra wealthy clientele" and as I do not fit this demographic, I can only assume they feel my money doesn't really matter.

Worst shopping app to buy from. My product was not even up to the quality and it didn't seize well. Had to return it but it's taking forever for them to give back my money. Call on different occasions but they keep telling me different stories and untill now I haven't received my money. I need my money ???

I ordered an expensive shoe for my husband as his surprise birthday present. I made sure to pick it up from the store just to avoid any delays due to shipping. The item displayed as available for pickup on the same day and that's the only reason I ordered it . There was an email from NM saying that they are working on the order . I walk in to the store after three hours of placing order just to be mocked by the so called "Customer Service Representative " at the entrance saying "You have to wait for your order and cannot walk in after placing the order as this is not Jimmy Johns " . What kind of arrogance can this be classified as ? I don't pay $769 for a pair of shoes to get such a great customer experience. While there are so many things she could have told but she told me this and that shows how filthy she could be.

I'm furious I had to take this comment from her for just walking into the store and asking the status of my order . Neiman Marcus why do you employ arrogant unprofessional people at the store ?

My recent order for Christmas 2022 was delayed (understandable) but when it arrived after Christmas I received nicely wrapped empty box. The pricey purse was not to included but I received its 'certificate of authenticity' from the manufacturer LOL. I used NM chat feature online and was told to file a report which I did, but that was ultimately denied. So, II called NM customer service and spoke to three different people. They finally escalated my claim, which is still not resolved. At this stage, I'm furious and feel like I'm being treated like a liar when all I want is the time that I paid for but still have not received.

Disappointed on their lack of knowledge and attentiveness Neiman Marcus customer service representative displays. I placed an order that was to be delivered within 5-7 business days. It is now 11 days later and my order is still processing, not shipped. I have made several inquiries about my order and have even gotten my order delivery method changed to overnight and I still don't have my item. I was informed by a supervisor to just wait and for me to call back again to follow up on the status of my order. I have had this particular order cause my bank account flagged and paused due to the excessive amount of payment authorizations that has occurred in this order duration. So far none of the 6 representative and supervisor that I have spoken to have offered any solutions to rectify/ answer the cause of delay. These Reps ask me to inconvenience myself further although my item is paid. This not one expect from Neiman Marcus especially whim spending on higher end items.

I ordered my standard 000's of $ of ornaments to be shipped out as presents on December 8. Two day air. A few made it. With NO NOTE or indication of who it was from. Luckily, it has been a tradition, so the recipients called to ask me. I checked on five last week that had not been delivered because I hadn't gotten notice that they shipped and I wanted to check on them. WHILE I STILL HAD TIME TO MAKE ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS. I was assured that they would be delivered on time. TODAY, I receive notice that you have cancelled one order completely and the rest of them would not be received until after Christmas. Customer service response - some lame excuse of the warehouse not finding the product to ship. I ordered them in early December!
After spending over an hour on the phone with customer service, I was told that the remaining items would NOT make it by Christmas and so i cancelled them. I also asked for the matter to be escalated so that the company knew the problems they were having. Again, this was too late to do anything else. Today, I received a note saying that the items had not been cancelled, but had been shipped and were going to arrive on December 25, although my fedex delivery folks tell me they will not be working that day. I have been charged for items I specifically asked to be canceled because NM could not fulfill its delivery agreement it made to me. It is really unacceptable, feels illegal and certainly not the kind of business Neiman's used to be. Neiman's used to pride themselves on customer service. What a long fall. Spent another hour in a useless chat before moving over to social media.Over a social media message, the company suggested I visit one of their stores for last minute shopping! OUTRAGEOUS. Wish there was a zero star rating. Really disappointed that this once great store has failed so miserably.

I ordered 3 items for Xmas presents. One item was backordered, they never sent any notice I had to figure out on my own. Placed a new order paid for overnight shipping I still don't have the item and probably won't receive in time for Xmas. Ordered 3 items as gifts, was billed for 3 and payed for 3, however they only shipped one even though they show all 3 were delivered. I have been unable to get help via phone or email.

Neiman Marcus...I paid their card in full, is untouched by me for a year. Never ever I will purchase from them again. I bought a pair of sandals, expensive ones and gifted them to my daughter last Christmas. Because the covid, we never had the chance to return it, one month and 5 days passed away, and to my surprise this very expensive store only gives 30 days for return, unbelievable. Express, gap, Sears, they have fair return policies, Neiman Marcus is Almost none. The shoes are in their box, their gift box brand new, never worn, with tags and everything, they just don't get returns. Now I am selling online a $1200 New in box sandals for $500, in the store continues at $1200. I paid the 1200 used in my card, I have more credit with them, but never more. I consider the return police in a very expensive store very cheap and unfair. Lesson learned. One customer less.

My next step is to take legal action against Neiman Marcus.

Order Placed on Sunday May 1st, 2022
Called Customer Service to cancel order (prior to shipment) on May 2
Was told order could not be cancelled but I would immediately receive a return label

Over next 3 weeks I made 9 separate requests for the return label which no one seemed to be able to get to me. I used chat, email and phone.

Without telling me, one of the agents sent FedEx to my house to pick-up the dresses. Instead of ringing the doorbell to ask for the dresses, they simply stole a box off my porch which contained cat food from Chewy.com.

On June 6 I received my cat food back from Neiman Marcus with a gibberish note about this not being a product that Neiman Marcus usually carries but "may have been purchased in one of their stores"

After demanding to speak with a supervisor regarding not getting a timely return label I finally received it and sent the dresses back. I was told the reason they could not get me the label is because they had the wrong email for me. This is TOTALLY FALSE since Neiman Marcus was able to send me all order confirmations to my correct email.
A week later I get confirmation that the dresses were returned but I was refused a refund because they came beyond the 30 days return time and that they would be sent back to me.

I once again spoke with customer service. I was kept on hold for close to an hour after having to once again tell the story of this order. Finally, I was told that I would receive a full refund for all charges. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED that all charges related to this order including fees and interest would also get refunded and I was ASSURED that I would.

I continued to get billed for interest and late fees which now total $110. I once again called Neiman Marcus customer service explained the story and told them NOT TO TRANSFER ME TO CAPITAL ONE, which of course they did. Capital One listened to the story and said all they could do is refund some service fees. They said I had to call Neiman Marcus Customer Service again and gave me the number to call.

THIS IS NOW MY 15TH CALL TO NEIMAN MARCUS TO GET THIS RESOLVED. I have spent over 9 hours of my time trying to get this resolved. I bill out at $250 and hour and feel I should be compensated for a full day's work.
I called Neiman Marcus customer service again today (7/29/22) and was told I needed to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor, James Bousquet refused to speak with me and said I needed to write a letter to Capital One. Even when I explained that Capital One had already been spoken to and could not help me he refused to speak with me.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I purchased your forever foundation and it was too dark, they did not have samples in the store and was told to order online. I went ahead and ordered online and now I am unable to return due to it being open to try product and match color. I will never buy from the market again

I would rate Neiman Marcus's customer support as the worst experience I have ever witnessed and experienced with any company to-date. Here is what happened:

My daughter was ordering a x-mas gift, it was a purse, she first attempted to order it online but the company's website would not accept any gift cards, and she got an error message asking her to call online support. She then called online support, and oh my god, they were truly the worst ever...first, she could not just place an order under her own profile because the credit card was under her husband's name, so she had to spend time with the agent to create her husband's profile because she could use his credit card. Next, she could not send the gift to the receiver because the agent insisted that the delivery address had to be the same as the credit card address....Does Neiman Marcus not get with the program during the holidays...people send gifts to different addresses all the time...why would they not allow a gift to be sent to an address different from the card card ? After all this drama, and an hour later, my daughter finally tried to give the agent the gift card information, the agent gets all of the information and then disconnects the call. My daughter waited 30 mins to get a call back from the agent to complete the order, but no such luck.

Next, my daughter calls Neiman Marcus back and the agent helping her told her nothing was saved under her profile and she had to start all over again...after a total of 1.5 hours on the phone with 2 different agents, you can image the frustration by this time. The order continues with the 2nd agent, and when it came time to submit the gift cards, there were more issues in completing the sale..the agent would not allow for the sale to be sent to a different address. By this time, I asked my daughter to request for a manager for assistance.

The manager spends another 45 mins on the phone with my daughter, and finally attempted to place the order for her, but when it came time to re-read the gift card information, since several agents had used it to place the order, one of them shows zero balance when the first agent had confirmed the card had money on it....so needless to say, my daughter started crying because by now, with two kids (baby and a toddler) in the background crying, and over two hours later, the frustration was over the limits where most people would have lost it.

At this point, I took over the call to complete the order....

The manager makes not concessions even though this was not necessary but any good company would have made it right...instead, she offered to credit my daughter $50 for the one gift card that did not work, but on their online orders, they were already offering $50 for over 200 purchase, which this one qualifies at over $2,300 purchase price....therefore, she made it look like she was making a concession when she really wasn't.

What a horrible, nightmare experience in placing a x-mas gift order. Needless to say, we will never order from Neiman Marcus ever again.

I purchased a perfume at the store. When I opened and used it at home, it doesn't have the same scent and no longevity at all. I went back 2 days later to return it. The store said they can't take it because the store policy is that worn merchandise isn't accepted. I asked how could I verify the merchandise without opening it. I will avoid to purchase anything from them.

NM cancelled my privilege to shop on-line because I did not receive the package they shipped via Fedex. They supposedly delivered the package with a signature but I called Fedex they informed me the package was delivered and it was signed. When I asked for the proof of signature, the signature was signed by someone from our family who passed away many years ago. It was such a disappointing experience. I called NM to explain and they told me that I should call Fedex. I called FEDEX to file a complaint and they claimed it was delivered. I did not receive it. I called NM to follow-up and asked for a credit as I never received the package, but instead they sent me a certified letter informing me that they no longer would like to do business with me on line and therefore any on-line shopping will be cancelled. The letter came from NM Quality Assurance department. Is that terrible or what??! It is unethical and what a horrible customer service. Have you ever heard of anything like this? I shop at NM, Bloomies, Nordstrom etc and I never experienced anything like this. I still shop at NM but I have to go to the store although I should really stopped doing business with them. What a horrible experience and customer service. I have been thinking about escalating to the highest level at NM but I don't have the contact information. Does anyone know? If you try to call the customer care, they are useless.

I ordered an expensive clutch on 10/26/21. I received a confirmation of the order at the time it was placed. On 11/2/2022 I received a notification email from NM stating that package had shipped. It included a FedEx tracking number. When I click the tracking link it took me directly into the FedEx tracking site. I receive the message: "No record of this tracking number can be found at this time, please check the number and try again later."

How is this possible for the package to have shipped out yet the tracking number does not show up in the FedEx system?

I called Nm and reported the issue and I was told it was delivered. I said how is this possible? I can't even track the package because NM sent me invalid tracking number. I went to the post office to check, the package is not shipped also post office customer service informed me to contact the shopper because the tracking number is invalid.

After several calls, NM opened a claim and stated it will be resolved but it never did.

I thought Neiman Marcus was a high end, reputable business & I was sadly mistaken. I was a dedicated customer I will never order anything NM again.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I wish I had read all of these reviews before I ordered. This was my very first experience with Neiman Marcus. I thought Neiman Marcus was a high end, reputable business & I was sadly mistaken. I ordered multiple dresses for an event NEXT YEAR & returned them all. They never left my house. One of the dresses was NEVER tried on and was returned in its original packaging. Neiman Marcus accepted the return and then wouldn't refund my money. They never contacted me. When I called them, they said the dress was worn, damaged, and unsaleable. I know with 100% certainty I returned it in the same condition I received it and it was never worn or damaged. I asked for details and pictures because I was stunned. I asked for it to be escalated and someone to call me. Neither happened. Instead, they tried to send the dress back to ME! I refused delivery and I contacted them again, and I got the same run around. They refused to allow me to talk to a manager. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Whatever happened to that dress, if anything, did not happen while it was in my possession. They need to check with their own warehouse team or talk to USPS, the carrier. Today, that dress came back to me AGAIN, repackaged in a new box. I again refused delivery and have reported Neiman Marcus to the Better Business Bureau. They have stolen $430 from me. All I want is my money back.

Neiman Marcus has the absolute worst customer service and a return policy that does not make sense. Trying to return a dress that has not been worn, still has sales tags, and is still for sale on their website and they say no?? Clearly no one from corporate has read any of the negative comments below. I was hesitant to shop here before after having had a negative experience in the past and I will NEVER shop here again. Nordstrom's customer service is by far the best, will only be shopping at Nordstrom's from now on.

I will never shop at neiman marcus again.. their return policy sucks the customer service sucks at the neiman marcusin Roseavelt field mall ....I was trying to return a pair of shoes a few days after 30 days will not take the return.....I never had any problems returning anything to Nordstrom.. i will continue to shop at Nordstrom ....

Just now having a similar challenge with a return. I purchased a work dress in late 2020. Unable to wear it. It's super high unlike others in the same brand. Never worm. Tags on. Still for sale on the website. Neiman Marcus says to me " if you can buy it, you can return it in 30 days". Wow. Shocking. This has been a challenging year. What happened to their wonderful customer service.?

Sade made my day!! Today is my birthday and I wanted to do some online shopping but has issues with the website. Sade was very professional and assisted with the issue until it was fully resolved. I would highly recommend Sade as is very very prompt and quick. Some online agents are not as quick and often misunderstand issue, but Sade is a great communicator and left my shopping experience enjoyable!! I will definitely keep shopping at Neiman Marcus as they offer excellent customer service and assist to clients until they are fully satisfied!!!

I've visited your store located in Tysons Galleria 2255 International Drive, Mclean VA. Ms. Rossana Corpancho (5713266096), went above and beyond help me select a gift for a friend. Not only did she help me select the perfect gift, she wrap it for me as well. She has a great personality, very energetic and a happy person. 6/8/2019: Just want to give a shout-out to a wonderful sales associate at the Wisconsin Avenue store in Washington DC--Tannur Eugene. I never get dressed up but--faced with my son's wedding--I was forced to take myself shopping and immediately became overwhelmed. Tannur helped me assemble an appropriate outfit--matching an elegant top with the right pants--and ordered it from Texas. I am so grateful for her expertise and personal attention--she really saved the day because I didn't know where to start!

On May 28, I purchased Lana gold earrings at the Neiman Marcus store in Honolulu, as the customer service was exceptional great! The sales associates were pleasant, courteous, and helpful. I love shopping at Neiman Marcus! But, I'm very disappointed that the best salesperson in Beauty and Fragrance has been moved to "handbags!" HANDBAGS!!!!! Are you kidding me?? Terri Collette has been my "go-to" beauty and fragrance adviser for several years. And now I have to shop with people who do not know me and try to sell things that are not in my best interests. Please right this wrong! The ratings I'm submitting below is based on Terri. She helped me with the Beauty Event. And I truly appreciate it, but she is no longer on the pulse of Beauty and I'm not happy about that!

I had the most wonderful experience at the King of Prussia Neiman Marcus store on 11/10/16. The sales associate's name was Shelly Bacharach and she could not have been more helpful. She used every resource available to her to find me a dress that was just about sold out nationwide. She was extremely friendly, caring and down right fun the entire time, apologizing to me for the time it took. I would love to reach out to Karen Katz and let her know how lucky she is to have had this associate for the last 20 years. Nothing was too much. Why oh, why, doesn't Neimans make polo or t shirts with a Neiman Marcus logo screened across the back . Be good for business....once many years ago, I bought some large red trash bags with your name screened across them....was fun to use and get the attention. T-Shirts ? Or; do you have a screened logo T shirt ?

The Neiman Marcus last call store located in Milpitas CA is very well managed and the customer service is outstanding. A recent purchase I made was assisted by the manager, Glen, who was especially gracious and had he not spoken with me I would not have made the purchase.

On Saturday, October 19 I came into the Somerset Collections store in Troy and was greeted very warmly by two fragrance sales ladies: Susan Miskalin and Ahlan Zoma. They really made my day. I was treat treated with exceptional kindness and professionalism. Kudos to the staff for making my shopping experience at Neiman's so very pleasant!

I just wanted to let somebody know about the excellent customer service I recently received at one of your stores. Our sales associate was Donna Adams PIN 367722. I was on vacation and shopping there for a specific Guerlain product. She immediately greeted us warmly and sincerely and found exactly what I was looking for. We have a Neiman Marcus in the Galleria in Dallas but her customer service was FAR superior to any I have every received at any one of your locations. My mother was shopping with me had a question about an email she received and Donna personally took us to the customer service department to get it taken care of. She also personally took us to the mens department to help see if they carried what we were looking for. I myself work in retail and know the value of taking care of the customer. In this day and age it is hard to get good customer service anywhere, but Donna and everyone at Neiman Marcus have not forgotten how to take care of their customers. We would just like to say thank you for a wonderful shopping experience. Hopefully someone will let her know what a fantastic job she is doing representing your company.

Linda Howe and Megan Howe went way beyond kindness to us and got me water and a cookie plus got me everything I needed it was our Christmas shopping day as we were in a car accident and Megan still made it special.

Just a note to let you know what a pleasant experience my mother and I had visiting your Topanga store on the first day of Spring. The store is lovely and we were impressed with the no-pressure assistance we received while browsing departments. When we asked for directions to elevators or the café we were given extremely friendly, specific directions. In fact, all the salespeople we encountered greeted us with cheerful "hello's." The tall, dark haired lady in fragrances was engaging and the Mens' dept clerks were all smiles. Ella, who served us in the café, was the highlight of the day. Ella is a jewel and we so enjoyed her company on the patio; she's professional, charming and unique. We'll be back, of course (and I'll even call ahead to see if Ella is scheduled, since we live about an hour north of your Topanga location). Thanks for making our simple outing such a memorable one!

I would like to compliment your sales person Flora Gendelman who works out of your Walnut Creek, Calif, Department store. I was looking for the Mother of the bride dress and was at my wits in. Flora was so professional and listen to what I was looking for and found me a beautiful dress to wear. I have never worked with such an honest person who his very classy and knows just what looks great. I will always remember your willingness to help me during my time of need. I have been shopping at NM for many years and I just like to inform you that couple of days ago Laura Kambarian from home/gift Section in Topanga helped me. She was very helpful. She greeted me with a smile and showed me many items within my price range. She also showed me the new Christmas items that had just arrived (Nutcrackers, Santas etc) She was very courteous, pleasant and friendly. I would highly recommend her.

I have been a customer of Neiman Marcus, Coral Gables for over two years and have had friendly, professional service each time.
I have also purchased and returned handbags with Ms. Marante,and she has been nothing short of helpful, receptive, and concerned.
However, I think in the below comment with the YSL bag, if the bag is over a year old and used, no one in any store would return it. That is not a Neiman Marcus thing, that is a retail thing....
policies vary and if there is no policy, it is at the store's discretion.

I agree with her comment that in every product there is "wear and tear" and just because something is expensive, it does not mean it will last forever.

Think about that before buying something that is not within your financial means.

As far as general service at Neiman's in Coral Gables, they are the best!!!

I have been shopping with Neiman Marcus for years, and today I had a one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. Chistina in Mens Sportswear is so knowledgable and patient. It was a pleasure having her help me pick out Christmas presents for my husband and my house keeper. She truly gives amazing customer service. I think she should be recongized for this.

Hey guys and gals... I have worke retail for a while now in a middle market targeted store. You must understand not all companies really focus on providing customer service. Neiman Marcus is in the business of luxury retailing, high valued products not providing the world's best customer service. lol....If you look at the consumer base you will see majority of consumers goes to store pick what they want buy it and could careless of service unless it was like just deterimental like death
