Horrible service.
They locked my account due to "odd" activity. That activity was a deposit...DEPOSIT. So they locked my account, never called or communicated the issues. So then my paycheck direct deposit was cancelled and I didn't get paid.

Their response sorry but not our problem call your HR dept.

Worst banking experience of my life.

Oh and it took 3 hours of on hold and being shuffled around to get this information. Making me loose even more time and money.

Stay Away!! They are horrible. I have stock Tesla that I was going to borrow against. They tell you 2 to 3 business days, but don't seem to know why after day 4 they haven't heard anything. I ended up transferring back to e-trade. They wanted to charge me $150 a year for account fees and financial advice and even though I never spent a week with them, they slow played enough that cost me $5,400. They were nice enough to waiver transfer fees to send back to e-trade after I lost a shipment order. Thanks! If your financial advice cost me $5,400 in less then a week, then I'll pass.

If they say the sky is blue, you'd better go check.

Morgan Stanley and its Dallas Preston plaza office should be AUDITED by the SEC and investigated by the authorities. Negligence questionable ethics and mental Negligence... Compromised statements should be investigated....

Horrible customer service. I had a full transfer of my brokerage account to Wells Fargo wealth management in the fouth quarter of 2018 as my broker was leaving. in January 2021, I got a statement from them saying there was a balance of $34 in the account. I called them to see why this was and all messages were not answered. I finally got through to someone who stated thay had no authority to do anything and couldn't close the account. She tried to transfer the phone call to a manager who didn't pick up. She finally stated she would have the account closed out and send me a check for the balance. in the february statement, they had the audacity to charge a $50 low balance fee for the month which is not fair since I put in for a full transfer of the account in the fourth quarter of 2018. The account looks like it is still open since there is a march statement showing a balance of minus 16 dolars. I tried calling again and there is a answering machine that goes in circles and nobody to even complain to. Stay away from this place.

I opened a family trust account with my mom through Morgan Stanley over ten years ago. But in the last 3 years, this account has been moved without my consent or knowledge from Newport Beach To Santa Barbara to Florida and now Texas. And my access has been blocked 4 times, making managing my mom's estate even more difficult, especially at tax time. Since my mom died last April, I have tried for months with no success to process the paperwork required to prepare the Morgan Stanley account for distribution of the estate. Calls are not returned, access is refused, and I am misled, lied to at every step. Paperwork takes weeks for review, and must be re-submitted over and over again to snippy arrogant account 'representatives', who warn that any complaints will only cause further delays. Our other brokerage accounts were processed in two days.

Its like working with a lethargic elephant. Getting stocks transferred to a better financial institution takes forever. Forms lost. Secure email links that never arrive.

Why waste your time with this institution.

Horrible experience. The Dallas Preston plaza office specifically. Had losses of over 60 thousand. The nicholas group was the cause. I feel the brokers involved were conflicted with questionable mental discrepancies. My accounts were decimated and then terminated when I I inquired. I feel racial discrimination by one sunny Patel was another serious issue. This office should be investigated for misconduct and possible mental issues with jim nicholas. He is one of the brokers on this office team. Racism I feel is a serious issue with this office and firm.

Morgan Stanley service is terrible! I tried to call them 4-5 times, and each time I had to wait 30-45 minutes for them to connect me to their service professional but they either dropped my line or keep saying their people is busy!!! I had to yell the 5th call in order to get their service professional, but this person still had no help. I decided to close the account with big money in there. Don't recommend to do business with them!!!

Very terrible company. No customer service at all. They send me incorrect check, my bank charged fee because of it. I was calling to them during a 3 month, they told me a few times that sending new check to me. Still waiting :) Don't do any business with them

Terrible, terrible customer service. Still trying to get my 2016 Tax Forms from them....First time I called they told me they had been sent; second time I called--10 days later--I was told they would be sent. This company has deteriorated into
ineptness. I will be moving my accounts from here to another investment company where I also currently have several accounts, and where I know the company values its clients and responds professionally and expediently. Morgan Stanley
does not.

After over 30 years of holding an investment account, I wised up and moved to Fidelity. They charged me $95 to transfer the account. The fee schedule states that it is at the discretion of the investment advisor whether to charge, and of course they would not waive the fee. BAD BAD LOUSY customer service. They do not care about you.

call #1: was told my account had $0.00 remaining so everything must have been transferred to my new account with UBS
call #2: i told them my monthly statement showed i have a significant amount left. was told it must be a position that UBS doesn't have so i should double-check with UBS and then ask for a check for the sum of the remaining account thereby avoiding a $95 transfer fee
call #3: told i could not receive a check, and there is a transfer fee of $6.50???
call #4: i called back to say something was not right. super rude customer service. transfer had to be cancelled via written letter. needed to call back after 48 hours to ask for check again
call #5: asked for check again. could not speak with anyone to complain about the breakdowns in communication.
PS WHAT'S WITH ALL THE MUMBLING?!?!?! IS THERE NO EMPLOYEE TRAINING?!?!

My 2015 profile is very conservative requiring safest investment, very little return. Morgan Stanley put me in Highland HCOCX -now losing 40%; ivy WASCX - now losing 20%. Ivy WSTCX losing 17%, Wells Fargo EACFX losing 12%. All these severe downslides happening when Indexes cross the board were only down 1.5%. MS has shaken my financial future and I can only now cross my fingers that these awful irresponsible bets will recover in time. What occurs to me is Morgan that some this broker's SECURITY will be in someone else's hands, be it financial or medical, and he will only hope that person has his best interest at heart.

Morgan Stanley customer service is worst thing; you will be faint by puzzle if you know that they have no mail-id for support customer over the help-desk.
For terrible phone call experience you may call them.

Please stay away from investing your hard earned dollars at Morgan Stanley. They will charge a high account management fee, and then "forget" to regularly manage your portfolio. Has happened to me. I moved my account elsewhere and regret not trusting them to manage my account.

Morgan Stanley can not find my mother's beneficiary designation. We trusted her advisor, after each merger, he said the paperwork was complete. My mother passed away over a year ago but still no beneficiary even though the account is titles Transfer On Death Named Beneficiaries. Their response is disgraceful. I will never use them or trust them with my money.

My MS agent kept insisting that I use the TRAK service for my account. I specifically instructed him to invest my next egg in growth stock mutual funds. He ignored me. Instead, he kept insisting I use TRAK, and over a period of months I realized he was skimming my profit instead of letting it accrue to my account. He stole my money!!! I should sue MS but my account was too small ($25K). I've since severed ties with MS but I'm furious.

I would like to thank MS HAI OU from the Morgan Stanley hotline who have provided me good service when I have problem activating my stock connect account. She is patient, friendly with good product knowledge. Thumbs up to her!

Parents were satisfied customers of MS and predecessors for some 50 years. Not great returns, but liked the representatives. The last parent died and MS said no problem to get the money from some partnership accounts. Said the will and partnership docs are valid. 4 other companies cashed out accounts with no problems. MS keeps coming up with changing reasons not to cash it out. We just want them to execute the docs according to state law. We're still paying fees and an attorney and it has been almost 2 years. MS says the attorney is giving them the wrong forms but won't tell him what they want. We're all so frustrated.
