I shop Menards for prices. I get knowledge from Home Depot and Lowes. If you ask for help at Menards then you got what you deserve. Lousy company. And rebates are another issue. Shop elsewhere when you can.

We recently moved and have been to Menards several times to purchase shelves, etc. The employees that "helped" us were not knowledgeable. When they did not know things, they either made up information (which we figured out was incorrect) or just said, "I don't know" without offering to check. When looking for plastic to cover the insulation in our basement, we were sent different places by different employees. When we finally got to the right section, the employee who was working said that he had never heard of doing that before. He's only lived in 2 houses. When we were ready to check out, we went in search of the shelves that they were supposed to load and bring to the checkout for us. They were not there. We then spoke to the manager, he offered to come help but was anything but enthusiastic about doing so. Even though it is further away, we will be going to Home Depot or Lowes from here on out.

I wonder if as a group of people with inadequate service, we can collectively file a complaint against them.
I live in NY, 5 hrs away from Warren Ohio store. I ordered sidings and we rented a u-haul drove there and back ( 6 AM to 8:30 PM) o Lu to see they were the wrong size. They are not willing to send me the right warts and pick up the wrong ones! They are making us again rent another u-haul, load the wrong parts and go all the way there to get the right parts!!! I have never ever had such a dis satisfactory experience with a retail company!
And you don't get access to anyone with a slight level of authority or sense of responsibility to talk to them and explain the injustice!

The email was submitted to me that my whole special order was at the store in Columbus, Indiana, Store#3180 and when I went to go and pick it up they did not have all of it. The manager claimed that some of it was at their warehouse, and it was corporates fault for generating an email saying that the store had all of it. I am a very dissatisfied customer for one, being lied to by a multimillion-dollar company saying that my products were there when they were not, two, the manager would not do anything to consult with any higher authority to prevent this from happening again, and three, they knew about this situation before I got there. They knew that my order was not complete and that the email said that it was complete and did not tell me that it was not all there. I know on submitting this, I will get the apology due to keeping the customer happy, but save it. It's not going to work. Don't tell me that you as a company are sorry when this happens a lot.

Guilty of false advertising....lies on rebates no cash back only store credit and they don't tell you that... so not worth messing with unless you like shopping there... Lowe's and home Depot is better

When paying cash make sure the cashier puts in the right amount. Gave her $500. in cash she only put in $400. Paid the rest with debit card. When we noticed the error and went back in the said that he only gave her $400. and that the draw was even. So we just loss $100.00. Which is crap.Very unsatisfied customer.

Do NOT purchase anything from this company. I contacted their customer service with the details, including pictures, of a circuit breaker that needed replacing. They replied with a link to the device they said work on the website. I ordered it. But it arrived. It was the wrong size (specifically in my first contact with them, I told him it needed to be a thin series breaker and they sent me a full size breaker. I have contacted the customer service twice in regards to how to return the one they sent me and whether they have the appropriate size for me. They have not responded.

I went to Menards in Burnsville Minnesota and I spend a lot of money and all ways go three it my store but today I had to return something never had an issue before rude and disrespectful to a loyal consumer and I went to talk to management even worse finds out that I have been targeted told me they seen me here many times should be a good thing but nope they are quick to judge to a minority with tattoos even though I pay for everything have a business account never will I go back

Ordered kitchen cabinets, had it delivered for $92.00, we live 8 min. from store, and have had to make numerous trips back to store because of wrong/missing items. Some were even delivered to Iowa, no reason why. The customer service has been awful. All the trips we made back and forth to TRY and get the correct items have been to many to count and then we are told items are in and go there and they are not. What kind of company does this? So what if rebates are offered, it all goes back to the store and company. Was never offered anything for ALL the inconvenience. Good thing there are other home improvement store in the area.

Staff won't help customers tie their purchase down. I purchased a patio furniture set and they refused to help secure the load. I'm a 64 year old woman and was unsuccessful in securing it myself. I hurt my knee and cut my hand and ended up having to call my husband to drive an extra 80 minutes to help. Poor customer service!

So I come in to Menards and Coon Rapid's to buy a refrigerator I find the one I want with the dimensions I need to fit into my slot where my old refrigerator is I get told that I can't pick it up until June 15 I come in on 19 June and find out that I am not going to get my refrigerator until August 13 come in to talk to a manager about it and Mr. attitude is throwing his weight around thinking he's all that and some chips you know I always thought that customers always came first leased out it is in my business and it's not not here at Menards at Coon Rapid's now I'll have to go home get the receipt get a refund and go to Lowe's to get me a refrigerator I guess Menards is making so much money they don't need anybody else's had I had gotten a phone call from a girl here that works in the appliances and I called her right back and was waiting for her phone me back never did get the call

Special order MSHT 30213479 either pilfered or sold. This special order was made on 8 March. It came in in two shipments, SKU 600-2670 was piced up on 8 May with SKU 600-2793 backordered for 2 weeks. On 16 and 20 May I called the Marshaltown Store, customer pick up desk to get the status, the employees were not able at the time to find it but said they would look and return my call, they did not. On 18 May I call the vendor customer service desk and was advised the item had shipped on the 17th of May. On 21 May I drove 40 miles one way to the store to pick up the item. The customer service desk could not find it but sent me to the plumping desk for help. The attendant (friendliness) was able to find it had been received on the 18th of May but it was not in the store. The attendant called the manager ( reachabilty, resolution) to discuss it, he asked the manager (Brad) 4 times if he wanted to meet us or talk to me, he did not but said they might be able to talk to the vendor and reorder the item and maybe be able to give us free delivery. I find the lack of customer support by the manager very disturbing and contary to the Menards ethos.

Customer service at Menards.com is basically non-existent. I ordered merchandise ($2500.00) and after 36 days never received my items even though I got notice 2 days after ordering that they were shipped.It was impossible to find anyone to help with this issue. I emailed, I tried to call, I talked at my local Menards. I spent hours trying to deal with the freight company and the vendor Menards ordered from - something Menards should have been doing. I got delays, run arounds and no response from Menards over the 36 days. When I insisted on a refund, I got a partial refund - and now, guess what? I cannot get a contact from Menards to follow up on this - no response to multiple emails. No items, out money that is in Menards pocket for over 36 days now. AWFUL SERVICE in any form possible.

I had the horrible experience with trying to pickup an online order at the Richmond Indiana store and got home and found out I didn't get all the items I ordered. I have shopped there a lot over the years but after today I will just go to Lowes

I wanted to get the word out to everyone just in case you haven't came across this to avoid this from happening to you.

DO NOT SUPPORT MENARDS!

We purchased a vanity on 4-13-2021 and with major shipping delays due to the pandemic which is understandable we have been patient to finally have arrive 3-21-2022.

We picked up the same day later realized not all the parts were included and a major crack. Due to all the delays we decided to return it.

I purchased with a credit card and paid this a year ago and the only solution is an in store credit. No flexibility at all. I really don't need anything right now that I don't want a $640 going to an in store credit. I understand the 90 day return policy however the item didn't arrive in 90 days and it was defective again not in my control.

I lost out of the intreste I could have made on that, I had major building delays caused by this, the extra gas to return and so forth.

Why is it so hard for a company to do good to customers when all I'm asking is a refund back the way I purchased it.

Furniture companies don't charge until it has been delivered. If Menards did this than I wouldn't have had any issues returning it in the 90 days. With the pandemic and shipping delays this is out of our control.

Share this so that we the people can stop getting stomped on. Let our voices be heard.

I sent this to the BBB and in the process of seeing what other options I have. Just don't let this be YOU as it's unfair when I did everything correct.

I have emailed a year ago no response. I'm emailing again. However, I fought I'll get a response and to contact head quarters office is ridiculously difficult sent an email and it cam back as spam.

It's been a year. When are you going to stop your ridiculous mask mandate to shop in your store? I'll be happy to give my money to Home Depot and Lowe's. Your violating people rights and freedom. It should be a choice not forced.

I was about to buy an appliance yesterday at Menards,, however bc my husband and I didn't wear our masks, we were yelled at loudly from the second we walked in the door. The rude behavior continued throughout the store even though we were keeping our distance from everyone. We were told we wouldn't be checked out without a mask and we told them that we would put it in at checkout since we wouldn't be able to distance ourselves from the checkout person. As we were getting a helper to get our refrigerator, another man in a forklift asks us to put on our mask. We told him we're keeping our distance and would put them on at the checkout. He began to speak sharply to us to "put them on now or get out!" . We reiterated that we would put them on at the checkout and he told us he was the general manager (Craig), he wouldn't give us his last name, and that this was HIS store and we to were to put our mask on NOW or get out! I told him WE are where HIS paychecks come from. He stated very rudely, " NO THEY DONT, my checks come from Jim Menards!" ? He then got off his forklift and came towards us telling us to get out. I am absolutely done with the store! We were going to spend lots of money yesterday and we have a bout a $50,000 project for this upcoming summer! Let alone future siding and deck and roof projects for our home! So we will take our money and go to Lowe's or Home Depot or a local hardware shop and spend our THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of dollars there, where we are not forced to wear a mask!

I'm sure that anyone who challenges yourpolicy about masks is being monitored with cameras as someone to be "on guard"
so to speak.

Just like when flying I suspect their are Plain clothed security guards or
Marshals that are instructed to verbally intimidate and bully customers into more compliance at their stores.
I, personally, was hassled verbally, complete with an accusing tone and a threatening kind of demeanour
berating me from his truck.
This person deliberately blocked my way in the parking lot to make his point.
As I was leaving the entrance to the store he hurled accusations at me like a verbal assault rifle.
"Don't you ever question a particular clerk...etc. etc..
or else.
This was the store in Marinette, Wi. 2 days ago.

I have had a beyond frustrating experience and would really like to talk to someone about how you can take my money, provide no materials or services, and offer no refund when I tried to cancel my order...that I never got.

I went to your business to get a bag of come and get it dog food. I asked the employee who was putting up dog food if he had the dog food I was asking for and he told me you all didn't carry that kind . I told him yes you did because I buy it there all the time. He said no I didn't . We'll I live about 7 or 8 blocks from there and I know I have bought it there before. He was rude and more less called me a liar and said you had to buy it somewhere else. And I told him I guess I'll start going to rural king to get my stuff from now on. I buy a lot from menards but not no more. I'd rather go 5 miles out of my way than to put up with a person like him. I've talked to a lot of people and they said that's one reason they don't go there. Sorry to bother you with this but I don't appreciate someone calling me a liar.

Mid July, I was on your website taking screenshots of building materials for a custom shed. I noticed you doubled the price of 1/2" OSB from $10.90 a sheet to $22.25. That's totally outrageous! Menards should be ashamed of jacking up prices to that extreme in times like this. I really hope the American people stick together to teach businesses like you to stop taking advantage of us in times like this.

Why do you allow pit bulls in your store, I was at the livonia Michigan store Saturday at 1030am and there was a guy with a non service pit bull shopping. I had to leave felt very unsafe.

During a recent visit to your Toledo(Alexis) store I encountered a problem and was assured by your yard employee, Corbin. He was polite, efficient and professional. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. He deserves to be commended and recognized by Menards! Employees like Corbin keep your customers coming back as I will.

We shop at Menards 9625 Preston Crossing Louisville. Always have had good service. Thursday Aug 10th , we stopped and bought mulch and pea gravel. We were assisted by Chris Brown. What a great and positive experience. Friendly, courteous, helpful. My wife and I were so impressed by this man. Menards, you Got a keeper in Chris Brown.

Bought a tru bolt security storm door at Springfield East store and when took home, 75 miles away I found that handle was not in box. Called store back and not wanting to drive round trip of 150 miles asked man in doors if he could mail. He said handle is not included even though side of box said it did. So please give me information how to order and he gave me a part number which I ordered and waited for delivery from Kirksville but part did not fit. Very frustrated by now I called Springfield store back and this time was lucky enough to get Wade and he said the handle was included. Also he found the correct handle and returned my money I spent on shipping and the incorrect handle. Thank you Wade

I have been shopping at Menards in Elgin, IL. Went to return a hanging heater for the second time & was told by Manager Joshua/Jose in 10/3 I can't return it because it didn't show up in the system . I bought there returned there & the person who did the exchange didn't do it properly or gift card didn't show a repurchase. I couldnt wait any longer had to go left the $79.99 broken heater there and manager called me back saying I can't do anything for you. He was not helpful & could give a crap that I spend thousands of dollars yearly there as we have a business & he could give a crap. He is a careless manager, unprofessional & poor customer service skills. The District Manager should know this and owner. Now I shop at Home Depot thanks yo him.
