I typical use my DL vs the actual card to purchase since every time I do use my physical card it gets compromised. However, I wanted to buy something on line which requires the physical card which was expired the previous year. Wondering why I never got a new one I called after 40 minutes of the round and round robot I got a human who told me the card was sent out that day (wow really ironic) it has been 3 weeks and no card, I just spent 35 minutes with their robots just to have the robot tell me they are closed today. WTH this is the worst customer service, there is no easy way to get a human. If it wasn't for the ease of returns and the fact I can get good deals I would cancel this PIA card.

I ordered a handbag for my in-laws for Christmas but still I didn't get that I feel very embarrassed in front of them because I don't have anything to give to her very bad customer service also I called them about the order two-three times but I didn't get my received my order yet

I went into the Boyton Beach Macys to shop in the children's dept.to buy gifts for my grand children. I asked this black woman, I think her name is Brittany if she could help je find a little dress for my frand daughter. she was so nasty. Told me to look for it myself. She looks and acts like thug. You want this woman representing the company?

I ordered my friend a birthday present - wanted to spoil her on her special day! I was excited for her to open it! It never arrived When I called I was told that my package couldn't get delivered because the address was a PO BOX. Why in the world it let me make an order that couldn't get delivered? To make matters worse - I accidentally put my friend's address as billing, so the rude agent in the phone refused to give me any information about it and said that my friend has to call herself. I asked for manager and they put me on hold for 40 minutes and then dropped me. What an awful customer service and unreliable Company! Never again!

Rude clerk in shoe department. Had tattoos and longer dark hair. Returned a pair of shoes and abruptly handed receipt to me.A 40 year customer at Macy's. Will shop elsewhere.

Hey Follow Consumers, heads up on Macy's Furniture and their WORRY NO MORE Warranty-don't fall for it! I want to share a cautionary experience to save you some trouble. Steer clear of their WORRY NO MORE Warranty. It might sound like a safety net, but let me tell you They promise to repair or replace if anything goes wrong with your furniture that's under the warranty guidelines, but in reality, it's NOT True.

Here's the deal: they'll ask for pics and videos when you file a claim, but when you do everything they ask, they'll turn around and deny your claim.Saying it's not cover but it is because it's on the pamphlet they give you, but the deny it anyway and tell you to take it up with the other department. It's a frustrating runaround where they shift responsibility from one department to another, leaving you stuck in the middle. They might even claim your warranty is void because you got a discount, due to the several issues you encounter with damaged items and missed delivered dates. Yep, the same discount meant to compensate for the issues you had with your original purchase.

And the real kicker? If they canceled your warranty, why didn't they refund the $499 right when you received the discount? Instead, they wait until you need the warranty, and suddenly it's a problem. They conveniently wait until you need and submit for repairs to drop the bomb that your warranty is canceled. It's like they're more interested in pocketing your hard-earned cash than standing by their warranty. It's a shady game, and it feels like they just want your money without delivering on their promises.

Consider this a friendly heads-up: Macy's and their upcharge Worry No More Warranty? Not worth it. Save your hard-earned money for something more reliable and trustworthy. Trust me, it's a complete letdown-they won't honor the warranty when you need it most. I wouldn't recommend Macy's or their sketchy warranty to anyone. It's not protection; it's a complete scam. Don't fall for it!

I put in an online order for Christmas presents in the beginning of December. There was supposed to be an option to expedite shipping during the order process, but after I added the payment information it completed the order. I got a confirmation email but it had no delivery date information. It did supply me with a phone number for customer service. By the time I navigated the automated phone service and sat on hold waiting for a representative, 35 minutes had gone by. They told me that I could have canceled the order or updated the shipping if I had done it within 30 minutes of placing the order. How is that my fault?!
There is nothing they are willing to do to help me. I spoke to customer service in the Philippines, supposed supervisors and chat bots. All useless. Of course they took the money from my account right away, so now I've spent a large portion of my Christmas money on an order from Macy's that isn't going to be delivered until January.
I avoid ordering from Amazon to try to help keep other companies in business but I will never order from Macy's again. They have lost a long time loyal customer. It's no wonder all of these companies are going bankrupt.

Spent 150 on Clinique cosmetics next day went back because some of them went on sale
Didn't get any refund and didn't get the 21 piece gift for spending $150.00
Will never buy my makeup at Macys again

Macys became a real terrible store they used to be a higher end . I guess I will have to call back tomorrow as I am not getting anywhere

I received crystal champagne flutes for my wedding and they came to my house shattered. Macys opened a ticket to replace them which has now been declined twice and I've been told that if it's denied one more time then it will be permanently denied for good. There is nothing they will do about it. They did not give a reason for declining the tickets either. I asked if I can bring them back to the store to exchange and they told me not to bring back broken glass (and that the ticket is declined so they won't exchange.) I am out 8 crystal glasses and my friend is out hundreds of dollars who purchased them. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

I'm being charged shipping and the horrible customer service people don't know why. I'm a platinum member and I have never been charged shipping. I have spent thousands of dollars at Macys and now I have to speak to someone that doesn't understand the issue. What happened to Macys??

I ordered a comforter online. 2 days later I received an email stating my order was cancelled because they couldn't confirm my identification ( whatever that means) I called and the customer service representative asked me for my name and address, I gave them my information and I was told the system couldn't verify my identity I stated they I receive texts and emails all the time at least 4 times a week from Macy and now your stay can not verify my identity, I can't get information to contact corporate office, the number on website is not in service, they took the purchase price from my card and have not refunded my money, I will be contacting my state attorney general and will be seeking an attorney, bringing a lawsuit against Macy for misleading and false advertising and deceptive practices among other charges

Macys Furniture Customer Service is the worst. I called to place an order and asked to applying a voucher. After one month, I realized that they didn't. I called back to learn that they used to another credit card holder and it take them 14 business days to help me get refund. At the mean time, I saw the price went off 10 days after the furniture was delivered. I emailed their customer service for a price match. And I got the email back saying the price match credit will go to my account 3-5 business days. Now after 14 days, I didn't get my voucher credit nor the price match credit. I have to call their service number and heard very bad background noises. I'm gonna cancel my Macys credit card and will never buy stuff from Macys.

I had a package that was not delivered - UPS Claimed they delivered it. In trying to get a credit for this low amount $38.57. They third world country that they moved their customer service to pretty much called me a liar that it said delivered so too bad! I'm a platinum customer - my credit limit is so huge and they offered to transfer me to credit to close my account! Really they would rather lose a great customer over $38.57. I'm paying off my account less the $38.57 and will NEVER shop there again. Their loss - BUT i'm sending a letter to their CEO and tell them this is exactly why they are going bankrupt. NO customer service.

The return changed without warning from 90 days to 30 days; will not take back any order more than 30 days after purchase, does not even count when it was actually delivered. This is illegal.

I am so disappointed in Macys selection of womens clothes. Its like going to a garage sale. Left over ugly clothes. What in the world happened to the Macys with upscale clothing, etc. No more shoping at Macys!!!

I ordered using express shipping and they sent the package 5 days later. That is standard shipping.

I am deeply disturbed by your company's policies
My credit card was discontinued WITHOUT NOTICE after so many years of being your customer
I was contacted by my credit company since my credit rating was affected. Is that the way you treat customers when malls and large chains like yourselves are going out of business?
I quickly called your macys service line and was rudely told that I had not charged anything from
2020 to 2023
Did anyone enlighten you that we had a pandemic
In our country and going to Macys to shop was not a priority?!!!!!
He was very rude and unapologetic....wow this is who is representing you today...you better wake up and smell the coffee or there will no longer be any Macys ....a place that when growing up my
Mother and I got dressed up to go to 34th St for
Shopping in NYC
I wanted to call the corporate office and speak to you directly by to no avail
For such a big corporation you certainly do not know how to treat old customers
Good luck in trying to survive in todays world with this philosophy

I paid for express shipping and the item still hadn't shipped 3 days later. It took me forever to even get ahold of someone, I asked what happened and was just told to contact them again in 16 days to resolve the issue. This is highly unacceptable.

I purchased a pair of black boots online and paid with my credit card. One minute after I purchased the product, it disappeared from the store, and all I could see were boots that were green and brown. Alas Macy's did take my money!
Macy's emailed me an invoice that read that everything was fine and dandy and that I'd receive the delivery within five days. They never emailed me another response. Only when I went online to my Macy's account I could see that this transaction did not go through and within one day they stated that it was canceled. Again- the money was still not in my credit card account.
I called my credit card company and they said that they could not release the money into my account because "the purchase was not clear". They asked me to wait. It has been five days since this transaction occurred and the money is still not being released into my account. I wrote an email to Macy's and never received a response. There is no phone number that I could call.
This is the last time I'm purchasing from Macy's. This whole transaction was a deceiving experience.

Bought a pair of shoes from Macy's, attempted to return shortly after the 30-day return policy. Was unable to return, exchange or receive store credit for the item. Horrible customer service! What only give me the lowest price for the item which was 80% less than what I originally paid for it... Which is not the current price that the item is currently being sold for! Do NOT recommend shopping at Macy's!!!

Has anyone had problems with the opposite gender being in your gender dressing room?

I went to South County Macy's on Friday with my daughter. We were looking at clothes in the female part of the store and went to the dressing room to try on a dress. There was no attendant so we were looking for an empty room. All of the doors were shut, so I gently pushed the first door to see if it was available. It opened and to my surprise as I opened it further I heard a male voice and then a clothed male standing in the women's dressing room!
He said he was told to use this dressing room. This is not okay!
If he was told to use the women's dressing room why? That store is equipped with men's dressing rooms. I'm not playing these games. If this is what Macy's is doing, I won't be back. I'm not choosing to share a dressing room with males; especially, when they have their own.
I do not choose to have my privacy invaded in a dressing room.
This is an open door for perverts.
If this is Macy's policy it is now dangerous for a woman to be alone in a dressing room. This is why women travel in herds - for protection.

I hope that this isn't Macy's stance. Time to make our voices and pocketbooks heard!!

I WAS NOT NOTIFIED ABOUT THE 30 day retune policy. Online not in store. I got stuck with things I bought that did not fit. Or were not made well. I got stuck with clothes I did not want. HOW WAS I TO KNOW?

No compassion about the change. I did return items that were less than 30 days and I was not able to get credit. They put it on a return card not to be used on my credit card, not return for cash. I had to buy crap there. Why would I want to buy anything else from them? I was completely stuck with a crappy return card. WHY can't I use it for my card? Why am I stuck to buy more things there? Rotten. I argued and asked for a manager. I was told no manager was on duty? What? I knew I should get my card refunded. I was not going back into the store. WHY DID THEY GIVE ME A CARD USED ONLY AT MACYS? WHY WAS THERE NO MANAGER ON DUTY?

Posted by NONE

Customer service? It is so poor. RUDE. When I walk up with a question or purchase they walk away. I made eye contact then then they turn their back. I go to another register? The same thing. I wait in line to purchase and have to wait because the customers in front of me are complaining and a manger had to be called. The manager is never around so it's a waiting game. NOT ONE SMILE. NOT ONE PERSON EVEN SHOWING ANY INTEREST IN ME. I was trying, TRYING to buy 3 dressed and 2 tops. I walked away. Other customers and I talk and we all say the same thing. This is such a shame. It used to be a good store.

I'd like to give the highest possible evaluation of Aalyssa, employed at Macys at the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Having recently moved here, I was unfamiliar with the mall and Macys itself. I was picking up a mattress topper and went to the customer service area, thinking I could manage to carry it to my car despite my having a frozen shoulder. Instead, Aalyssa was extremely kind and volunteered to do this for me, despite my confusion with the many entrances to the store and subsequently with the location of my car! With patience and good humor, she helped me find my car and load the box into it. Aalyssa is the epitome of excellent customer service. If I were her manager, I'd give her a raise! Many thanks, Aalyssa!

Just wanted to pay a compliment to an employee of Macys Oxford Valley, Langhorne, Pa. Her name is Terri L. Herder.
She was patient, knowledgeable and very pleasant. I had a time consuming return consisting of 3 items. Each one had to be done in a different way and she handled each very efficiently. She is a sweetheart in addition to what I would consider a valued employee! The date of the transaction was on 9/04/2023.

Sincerely,
Melissa P.

My shopping experience was great. Mostly because of Channi 11186293. She was polite and professional. I purchased 19 items and she never made me feel rushed. I am not normally a Macy's shopper. Because of her, I applied for and received a Macy's American Express card.

I always enjoy shopping at Macy's. My sales associate today, Farhana, was most helpful. The sales person is very important as their assistance, or lack thereof, can make the difference between a customer leaving the store feeling satisfied or disgruntled. I appreciated the help I received from Farhana.

I had a good experience today shopping at Macy's. The sales associate, Farhana, was friendly and helpful. I wanted to be sure to give her a good review since sales associates can make the difference between a shopper leaving the store happy or disgruntled.
Actually, my husband and I generally are pleased with the staff at Macy's. There was a gentleman, now retired, who was in the men's department for years. My husband is hard to fit but he suggested Ralph Lauren suits. They fit perfectly! Because of his assistance we always go to Macys whenever my husband is in need of a suit.

I was shopping for a pair of shoes at Macys located at Galleria Mall in Roseville, CA. This is where I met David. David is the best shoe seller I've ever met! He is super knowledgeable and always goes out of his way to help me find the perfect pair of shoes. He's also really friendly and easy to talk to, which makes the whole shopping experience so much more enjoyable. I love the fact that he has a great eye for style and always knows what's on trend. He's definitely my go-to guy for shoes, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch shoe shopping experience!

I am a sales supervisor at one of the macy's stores in the south bay and I can assure that whomever handled your return is in need of some coaching. First of all, if you are exchanging your item for a different size/color, they can match the price so it's an even exchange. You should not have had to pay any difference in price unless you were exchanging it for an entirely different item. Second of all, the "10 days' rule only applies to price adjustments. Your item can reduced in price if it's within ten days of original price.

I am a former employee of macys.I worked during Xmas last year, and it was the worst experience of retail in my life.
I have no police record so I still as of now do not now understand why security people treat me the way the they do. I had stopped coming into the store and going to the Jefferson mall store, but there is a big.difference in the merchandice. I went to the Oxmoor store on Friday Oct . 10th. It was 4:50 pm after I got off work. I.have been followed, and treated like a thief even time I enter that store. So this time I bring my smart phone that has a camera and I make sure they know I have it. It is in my hand.i am also taking notes. At 4:55pm they start walking around the men's detent I am looking at clothes.I ignore them. One comes over and starts straightening clothes. I remember him from when I work there, I continue to walk thru men's deptment. They follow me like I am some kind thief. I pull out my smart phone to make sure it is working. Then I lookup and no one is around.i find what I want and go to plus size deptment.I make sure they know, just to see if they will follow. At 6:10 I am.still in.store. I pull out my smart phone and I am talking to sales clerk.amazing no one around. I.spend. $200.00 on 4 items cash, that won't be brought back.I to this day do no know why they treat Mt this way.if your other stores, carried the same clothes, designer clothes plus sizes I would not come here.let your security people know I plan to come back. With a tablet and a smart phone if necessary.which is stupid to me. I plan to make a complaint to the better business Bureau also.you have a great store your staff suck.

Avoid Macy's at all costs. As a former employee, I saw the sorry way they conduct business. They are really big on slogans that sound good but mean nothing at all. In my last 7 years there, we did not receive any cost of living pay increases, even though the company has shown a profit year after year. If you want to know why you get such a lousy attitude from the sales staff and customer service people on the phone, this is one of the reasons why. The internal attitude is that Macy's is an American icon and because of that people will just automatically want to shop there. You can get the exact same merchandise at their competitors for a lot lower prices and get better customer service to boot.

I am an associate at Macy's, and already had a Macy's card when I got the job. I have always had trouble with the credit card "customer service", but since I didn't need to call them much it wasn't such a big deal. Until now, when I called to see if my employee status had been updated on my card so I could get my employee discount. The Indian guy on the other end(big surprise they started outsourcing-sarcasm) informed me that he couldn't tell me anything until I made a payment. I told him I'm not calling about anything to do with my line of credit, I just want to know if my card status has been updated to "employee". He again pushed me to make a payment. So finally I said, "so what you're telling me is, I have to make a payment just for you to tell me if my employee status has been updated?" He proceeded to stammer, probably because he realized he was being an imbecile, and I hung up. I'll be calling today to speak with a manager.

Do not work at Macy's!!! By far the most unpleasant job I have ever had. The women I worked with were extremely rude and didn't want to help. There was NO decent training either.. pretty much just here you go, good luck! Everyone there pretended to be strict about policies but I didn't see them being put into place. All they care about is money, money, money. I understand that the company wants to turn a profit, but not at the expense of the worker. I was making $8.00 which was not matching up to the work I was doing. The bosses were rude and they only want you to open new credit cards. If you don't, they are going to talk to you and be rude (even though most of the people I rang up already had credit cards, so what are you supposed to do?) It is obnoxious to upsell and you can tell the customers do not enjoy it. I know I don't as a consumer! If I want something, I will ask you for it. The last day I was there someone stole my coat from the break room. I decided I didn't want to work at such a sleazy, downer place! I quit on the spot. If you want a job where you have enjoyable coworkers, friendly customers, respectable bosses and like your job- I would recommend NOT working here!!

the people who work for macy's corp, have a hard time. if they don't get credit apps. they do not get a pay increaes. the increase is 30cents to 40cents. the corp.is only interested in making money for them not the people who really do the work. the public take their anger out on the people who work there. they are only doing what is told to them what to do. they are over worked and under paid. never get time off, only 1 weekend off a month, for all the work that they do. cleaning up after the public whom destroy the store. they have too!!!! clean up behind these people at night when the store close. there are no littles elfs or folding teams to do that these people whom u complain about dose it all!!!! standing on their feet 10 to 11 hours a day. so i ask the public please do not judge them too harshely. the public need to call the corp. office and let them know they are not pleased with what the MANGER IS DOING AT THAT STORE. MY MOM work for macy's i miss her alot we my family only get to spend a family outing once a month.

Worst store ever to work for Macys Southglenn.... The only place I know that associates can get caught stealing and the Manager just acts like it never happened. Also associates come to work all doped up and Mgr ignores it.Since when is it ok to be on commission and the counter mgrs. in cosmetics will literally rip your sales out of your hands and the Mgr. does nothing.. This is a store where the employees will actually gather around you and threaten you if you don't give them your sales... Exact words to another associate were (you will not have peace here if you don't ring under our numbers... when reported this to management nothing was done.. you call HR and leave a message and they never call you back.... I worked for an excellent company Dress barn and JC penneys, two amazing companys to work for.... In my opinion the employees run that store, No managing going on whatsoever everything is swept under the rug.... Absolutley most hostile work environment...

After spending an hour on the phone with Macy's customer service, being disconnected twice, put on hold for 20 mins. twice, I cancelled my card after 30 years. They didn't care that they would lose me as a customer, plus my 2 daughters. Noone spoke English, there was so much background noise. After I told them I was cancelling my card (no apology) they told me that they would take my payment over the phone and charge me $14.00. Disgusting!

I work for Macy’s and have a great respect to my workplace. As a selling associate I know my responsibilities and Company Policies perfectly well, better then most of the managers. Enough is enough, to be blamed and accused unfairly by the store manager, for what? Doing a great job, being devoted and loyal, I do not like how my store manager treats me, actually how she Threatens, Downgrades and Discriminates me. Does Macy’s Headquarters know how some of their store managers differentiate and discriminate between their employees based on their personal motives? That is very unprofessional, and unacceptable. I have a great work performance, and a great work ethics, if she DOES NOT like me too bad, although she is a store manager, and she thinks she can treat me anyway she wants. I would like the Corporate HR to be aware what is going on with some of theirs manages. It is unbelievable.

As a very good employee of Macy’s, I am very disappointed, and upset of being HARASSED and DOWNGRADED by the Store Manager numerous times.
