2/24/25 at the Springfield location to return an item. The cashier was nice and helpful but Christine the store manager was horrible. Didn't smile, speak nor greet just looked with an evil look on her face. This isn't the first time this has happened with her. I've even seen her at the Beaver Creek location with the same demeanor. If she can't handle her position then maybe she should consider stepping down and/or just working at and with another company

I'm from Meridian ms and went to the hobby lobby here and was very disappointed and insulted by a girl I was very surprised was a manger not sure how she got the job much less a manager. She didn't speak when we came in we asked a question she literally shrugged and said she didn't know while rolling her eyes. I've been in several times and every time she has been so rude she never smiles or even see her do anything. Her name is Alicia she is short blonde headed and I will not return because of her.

Reading the long detailed complaints you all got some work to do.!0Perhaps instead of moving things around every week( there by blocking off aisles to customers).Also what like of wood is the vast majority of you stuff made of? So soft and unstuffy!

Where oh where to start? The only store that does not use a scanning system for check out which results in painfully slow lines and and frequent price mistake( I have a 3 in a row price overcharge). The cheapest plastic bags that frequently rip on the way to your car. But here is the best! There were items advertised 75% off. The math did not add up to me so I inquired at the checkout telling the cashier that the orange tag was not 75% off. The cashier agreed and called the manager who said the orange tag was 75% off. Showed her the math and she said to the cashier" didn't you see the memo from Corporate? We just use the orange tag price". The cashier said but that isn't right the manager said "well that is was corporate said. I reminded her that was false advertising and certainly no very Christian like! Care to comment on this practice ?

I need shipping to home physical address, not the post office box. I am on oxygen 24/7 and very hard to get packages at post office. Hobby lobby pkgs seem to go to Po. IDK if that's UPS or HL. How do I insure they are delivered to my home? Very frustrating since I love HL and was a frequent shopper before becoming disabled.

I purchase two cans of Krylon clearcoat spray paint from Hobby lobby. I open them on yesterday and neither can work. I went to exchange them today, of course without a receipt, and I explain to the young lady that they were brand new. I just opened them and the top keeps popping off, and one just stops up. She reached out to the manager. He refuse to even speak with me. Said will not take them back said it had been more than 90 days and without a receipt. Of course I could've lied and said I had just recently purchased them, so I reached out to Customer Relations. She reached out to the store. He said that the tops were broken cracked that was a lie. He never came out and even looked at the containers. He spoke to the CSM over the phone and told her he would not take them back. the top Under the spray, cap kept popping off. Evidently the spray paints are defective for two not working and had just been open. I feel like I was disrespected as a customer the manager would never speak to me, and then he lied about what I told the CSM was wrong with them lousy management and lousy customer service. I will not be shopping at hobby lobby anymore. They've lost a customer , I did reach out to Michael's and explain to them what had occurred at Hobby Lobby and ask what their policy would've been and she said that they would've taken them back or at least offered me some sort of compensation so I guess when you buy spray paint or spray, You're expected to use it within 90 days. if you paint, u that's not how things work , I'm very dissatisfied customer and just to say I probably spent over a grand at that store last year but no more.

Pretty done with Hobby Lobby in Ocala Florida after today.
You would think with how "pro life" they are that their employees would be accepting of toddlers. NOPE.
I went in by myself with both kids, no stroller, and got nothing but rude looks and snide remarks when they started acting like kids.

Hi, Received no stones in the Cement stepping stone kit. Suppose to receive powder cement, shape mold and stones to put a design on the stepping stone. You might want to open any kit boxes before buying to make sure everything is in the box.Now I have to return to fix the shortage. Thank you.

Had framing done at Lebanon Pa store. There was a problem with the work. Manager was extremely rude, talking down to me and not listening to what I was saying. After her belittling me she said she would refund my money. Very poor customer service.

I returned items more than a week ago in-store with receipts in hand. I have yet to receive my refund which was to be credited back to my credit card. If I'd known it would take this long, I would have taken the cash pay out.

I went to Hobby Lobby in Houma today. I was purchasing something that was the last 2 on the shelf. I got to the register and they were both chipped. I would have to fix them before using them so I asked if they would discount them for me. the store manager was standing with the customer service manager and the cashier. The store manager shouted loudly Oh My God. I then decided I would just not get them. how rude of a store manager to say that in front of the customer. the customer service manager and cashier kept apologizing for the way the store manager acted. She should not be in the position of a manager if she does not know how to politely manage herself. It was very rude.

My brother and I were shopping and we later went to the checkout. We waited behind these people and as soon as it was our turn the cashier looked at us and said snark like "this checkout is for employees only". WHAT. My brother waited behind these people and you suddenly tell us this after we've been waiting??? At this point I'm stressed out and go to a different one and finally get checked out. Keep in mind all the checkouts looked THE SAME. I never want to shop at hobby lobby again.

I would be totally embarrassed to be a driver for hobby lobby totally unprofessional very reckless company there safety department must be the biggest joke in the trucking industry and whomever runs there transportation department has no clue to trucking at all totally unprofessional company and I truly hope that someday someone in more power over there transportation department wakes up far before it is to late and one or more of there drivers does not run over and kill some innocent family. I was charged $18.40 for two small wooden letters that would only have been $2.99 each without the 60%. But apparently the cashier read $22.99 instead of $2.99. How am I supposed to get my $$ back?!? I needed these letters today and even if I walked in to attempt a 'return' they would say they aren't on my receipt, since you guys don't actually scan anything and just look at the base price of something...

I am a 55 yr old female with congestive heart failure and I get out of breath with simple walking. Your stores do not provide any kind of acessability help for disabled.
I was feeling very light headed and needed to sit-down no one could provide a chair or place to catch my breath so I made my way to the front of the store where between the sliding glass doors there are benches and displays. I managed to find a sturdy bench where I could take my inhalers and rest my heart. Upon doing so I called a friend I came with to retrieve my cart and pay for my items.
Before she got there, Store Manager Jesse, whom was rude antagonistic unkind and down right nasty, approached me and begin to chew me out for having a cart in an open shopping area. There is no sign that says don't bring carts in. I assumed since there is items for sale a cart might be mandatory if purchasing items. However, Jesse, approached my in a very hostile manor as I was trying to calculate my portion of the basket. He said , You cannot leave that stuff there if you don't want it go put it back. I had intended on purchasing all of my portion. But because the way Jesse approached me I got angry. I said isn't that what you have employees for.
He rudly replied no that's no their job.
Well then, your employees must have a nice cush job. He made some rude comment and stomped off.
Very hostile angry intimidating man with no courtesy or people skills. Terrible person

So I was in Pasadena yesterday and went to Hobby Lobby. Went to purchase a Christmas tree. Took tag to register handed it over. cashier calls Manager who I thought was getting the tree no...... Manager sees me writing check and tells me "before you write your check (which I had already written so I won't hold up the line) I will need for you to either call your bank directly OR open up your bank app to see if you have funds to cover this purchase" . I said WHAT??? She repeated herself and added "you can pay with cash" EXCUSE ME?? I shop at Hobby Lobby all the time and I have never had to do this! I ask her when did this become effective? She replied I don't make the rules Hobby Lobby does. I told her I need a Manager she proceeds to tell me she is a manger. I felt my blood pressure rising by the second! I told her do you hear yourself? You are asking to see my personal information! You are wanting to know how much $$$ I have in my checking account to cover the purchase! I don't think so! Hobby Lobby rules not mine! And by the way the tree you want is sold out the only one we have is the floor model. Do you want floor model? I asked are you giving me a discount for floor model? She said no. Then I don't want a damn thing from Hobby Lobby! I left pissed off ! I called Nando he said hell it sounds like you were racial profiled! OH HELL NO! Now I'm even madder!!! 

I left Hobby Lobby fuming. I called the store and asked for check cashing policy and was told the same thing as store. I asked to speak to the store manager after waiting for 10 minutes I hung up. After venting to my friend Pat, she said you need to call corporate! But first I called Hobby lobby Baytown I asked for check cashing policy. We wrote on check your license info and run it thru. That's it? Yes . I told her what happened she was shocked the store did this. So I called corporate gave them the same story and was told there is no way Hobby Lobby would do such a thing. Well uh ok whatever. Was told someone would look into this she was hanging up I told her wait you didn't get my information to call me back. I was told it would be looked into but they do not call customers back with update just know it will be handled. Uh no I need someone to call me back because this is unacceptable.

I hate to think I was racial profiled. Was it the area? Should I have handled it differently? I like to think I have a large diverse group of friends. I am by no means prejudice. I love hobby lobby but if this is the way you treat your customers I will not be shopping there anymore. Well after I get Laura's tree then I won't be shopping there anymore

I have always loved HobbyLobby! Everyone has always been so friendly, helpful, and pleasant until today! I had been shopping for 30 minutes or so and passed a woman who had a little girl who she was quietly telling that no she wasn't going to get it..not sure what. The little girl was fussing and crying. It was evident the woman she was walking with was her ride. The little girl continued to fuss and have a meltdown and I ran into them again at the front of the store where the little was still melting. They decided to leave and walked to a checkout a couple down from me. The little girl continued to fuss and the woman that was checking me out kept giving her dirty looks. I said that momma is holding her ground with the little. The clerks snapped back she wasn't doing that little girl any favors. I said it is hard for us to listen to but she is doing her best to hold her ground with a no answer. The clerk looked at me and said yes and she needs to have a little consideration for the others in the store. I was appalled! For a Christian store this woman had absolutely no Christian compassion!

On 8-21-22 I had requested to buy 2 additional scoop benches. This is 9-19? I finally got the answer I needed about my product being in. I felt that I was wasting their time and the lady who gave me the merchandise slip kept putting if off on someone else on the bar stools being available. I got the run around from her. She was the front of house supervisor.

I stood in line for 15 minutes (only 3 cashiers and lines went back into the middle section most of that time) to be told to go to the back of line 1 or 2 for a return!!! Go to back of line to wait 20 plus minutes while a manager stood at the door area watching the entire time never offering to help anyone.

Note - it is move in weekend and graduation at Auburn University and they should be prepared for crowds.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Since the owner of Hobby Lobby is so rich why won't he make the warehouses more tolerable to work in, instead of it being like a sweat box to work in to where a person feels like they're about to pass out? There are other companies who has warehouses but they make the building more tolerable to work in. Doesn't the owner of Hobby Lobby even care about his employees and their work environment?

I have had 2 disappointing experiences with Hobby Lobby and will now purchase from Joann's. I was at the Wayzata, Minnesota store this Christmas and inquired about getting the 40% coupons. The cashier was very unhelpful so I found a manager. He was so bitter, snappy and rude that I was stunned!! What a terrible representation of a religious company!! As believers we should be shini ng the light of Christ and treating people with a smile, kindness, respect & understanding. Another time I was at the Waite Park, MN store and returned an item without a receipt. The cashier called a manager over and he looked at the item and told me I didn't buy it from Hobby Lobby. He said they didn't carry that product...so I went right to the shelf, found the same item and brought it to him. He made me feel like a criminal! I've read many similar complaints and you've got to change your attitude if you want to stay in business! You should be holding yourselves to a higher standard and making a positive impact instead of turning people away! I'm sure you have some great employees...but don't let the unpleasant ones ruin it!

I made a purchase at around 9 am this morning for a few things for Christmas . within just a few hours i get a email that my order has successfully been cancelled . No reason for why it was cancelled or nothing . im not happy i have no vehicle so i cant just go to the store and these were very important Christmas presents. Not cool hobby lobby you lost another customer because of this ignorance !

I received my first online order and it was beet to death and it is the worst return service I think that they hope you will just go away I will never order anything else from them again!!!! Stay away from them you will be disputed.

My sister and I are followed around everytime we come in the store, neither of us have ever stolen a thing in our lives, nor do we need to. It makes us feel very harassed. We will not return to this particular hobby lobby again.

Just a note to give high praise to Adriana Froman at the Columbia Md store. She works in framing and is a superior employee. Always gets my orders done professionally and on time. The entire framing team is superior and the best in the DMV. It's such a comfort knowing Adriana is handling my orders.

On November 5th, I visited the Macedonia, OH, Hobby Lobby and purchased several items. Although it was busy, Darlene the cashier displayed wonderful customer service--greeted me, asked if I found everything I needed--all with a big smile and courteous attitude. It seems in today's world, many employees of companies just aren't happy to help customers seeing it as "just a job". Darlene makes it a "mission" to make each customer who walks out want to come back! She truly knows what great service is. Hats off to his caring employee!!!

So impressed with Hobby Lobby at 1146 Dawsonville Highway, Gainesville, GA. Especially the cashier Jane, Lise in Jewelry and Manager, Christine. I did not realize that closing time for store was at 8:00 pm. The manager was near the entrance and welcomed me, a few minutes before closing, and told where the Product I was looking for was. Later realized she sent Lisa to help me find what I wanted. Jane was friendly and welcoming even though it was closing time. Friendly, Committed employees should always be recognized! Which I hope you will do!

We would like to compliment Cheynne who works at the Bloomington IL store. Chyenne was particularly knowledgeable about providing us with glass for our picture which had broken and assisting us in putting the picture back into the frame with the class cover. She also consulted with us on "touching up" our picture which was nicked by the broken glass. We felt as if we were the highest priority for her. In addition to characterizing her as knowledgeable we would also describe her as friendl. Because of her Hobby Lobby will be our first choice in retail stores selling frames and other household merchandise. We hope you will not this feedback in Chyenne's personnel file.

I purchased a few home decor items and artificial flowers however I almost instantly regretted it... I'm very indecisive anyways the next day I returned them along with rocks and vase and wasn't even asked a reason of return. Customer service rep was very polite and quick and had absolutely no issues. Thank you

I recently was ambitious and decided to do a large craft day and purchased over 50 wreathes. After doing a dozen or so crafts I gave up and ended up wanting to return almost 40 of them. I came online and was rather discouraged reading how horrible everyone's experience was with returning items. I had absolutely no issue, it was the easiest return process I've ever had with a craft store and our store here in franklin WI truly went above and beyond giving exceptional service! Thank you hobby lobby, you have a lifetime shopper!

I was worried after reading all these comments. I called ahead and talked to one of the store managers at my local HL and told her what I wa Ted to take back that I had the receipt and the item was still sealed. She said let her check that the still carry the item and wanted to know how I played. I had used debit card, and I had purchased the item Saturday (it is now Monday) she said that she couldn't make any guarantees over the phone but it looked like it was possible. I went in and it was handled very politely and quickly and right as I walked out of the store and to my car the money was already pending in my bank account. I just wanted to share this positive experience so maybe someone else wont be as scared to take an item back as I had been.

On July 17, 2019 ..... I made a purchase at your store....as I approached the cashier, Mary G. To be exact..I was greeted with a smile...
I had a question...she was willing to help me by showing me how to use my phone on a coupon...she taught me how this procedure works..I am so grateful to her....for her enthusiasm and Great Customer Service...Mary is a special asset to your company....

I have made MANY returns to Hobby Lobby here in Utah without a hitch. They are kind and professional. I'm sure there are individual employees that can be a problem, but I have yet to meet one at Hobby Lobby. I imagine I will at some time though - it definitely happens and it can be very frustrating. As far as being a "Christian" owned store, they are still a business, not a charity.

Maybe it depends on location? After reading all the feedback I got nervous. But I had zero trouble with my returns in Florida. I didn't even have the receipt on me, and they gave my return in cash. It was a smooth process for me.

While doing a return in the Hammond, La location, Leanna and Myrtle were so patient! I was doing a return for some stuff bought for my daughter's birthday party that we didn't use, and I had about seven different receipts. They took their time and were so patient with me. I work in retail, so I know the pain of returns! I am so impressed with their customer service! Thank you, Leanna and Myrtle!

My disappointment comes from Hobby Lobby doing away with their Darsee and David's scented jar candles. I don't know why they would have done that. Everyone I know is disappointed in this decision.

My first time at hobby lobby today. We met a young man by the name of john. This man was helpful and went above and beyond for us. He deserves a raise. This was at store ten in las cruces. I will be going back because of him. When we checked out we were told that this was his first week working for them. He was knowledgeable.

Compliments to Steve in the framing department at Hobby Lobby in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Steve rectified an improper framing job done in his department 2 years earlier without any additional cost to me. I appreciate his good service as well as his expertise.

I don't usually comment on the service received from retail employees. However I have met Beverly Houston with the Collierville, TN Hobby Lobby and have to say that I found her to be very sweet and a refreshing difference to the normal experience I normally receive from employees who really look like they are just ready for their day to be over. From my experience Ms. Houston has went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the frame job she completed for us. If I ever have the need for a professional framer this is where I will go from now on. If she ever leaves Hobby Lobby and opens her own store my business will follow her.
