Harris Teeter Pharmacy in Pinehurst staff are rude and unprofessional. I've complained numerous times. The pharmacy "manager" Adrian is an arrogant employee. She loves to dangle my prescriptions in my face and makes up the rules as she goes along and her minions are not much better. These uneducated pharmacy techs love to lord our prescriptions over us. Adrain is the poorest excuse of a "manager" I have ever dealt with. She over talks me and refuses to listen to the customer as her huge ego gets in the way of her mouth and even when she is wrong she thinks she is still right. You know the "type." Ignorant female with a little power in a tiny pharmacy who has allowed her arrogance and ego to get the best of her. Sad-really. . . I guess that tiny pharmacy manager title is all she has. . .

I once was a loyal and happy Harris Teeters customer, no more! Since June 2023 I have had nothing but grieve shopping online. Delays, miscommunication, rudeness. Unhelpful Staff: The customer service representatives appeared uninterested in resolving my concerns. Their lack of willingness to assist, and unfriendly demeanor left a negative impression, making it evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority. Today, 12/14/2023 a customer service representative suggested that I should buy from Giant, she said that their Customer service is excellent and indeed, it is. From today on no more Harris Teeter!

Beware of products with Harris Teeter label. I purchased Harris Teeter brand crunchy peanut butter. I broke a molar on a substance that appeared to be small stones in the product requiring extensive dental work. Harris Teeter turned the claim over to Sedgwick, a claims firm that will ghost you and string you along for months then tell you your claim is denied. Cooperate greed at the cost of the consumer. Read the reviews on Sedgwick; hundreds and they are all bad! Thank you Harris Teeter. You lost a customer and I will surely tell everyone I come in contact with just how greedy you are!

need real people wokring, self check out doesnt work when you have lots of items. had to check out myself, only 1 aisle open with a cashier, long line, computer kept messing up at self checkout. harris teeter needs to hire people to actually work in their store. ill move my business elsewhere at this time. over it

The Deli manger Kristi is unprofessional, has no work ethic, incompetent in addressing issues with customers. She has no morals, her integrity isn't of Harris teeter standards it doesn't seem. Overall my experience was awful, I was waiting for assistance in line, of course my associate I encountered was lovely. I was observing when the associate asked for help, the manger Kristi didn't look busy, but was necessarily trying to help either.

Harris Teeter in Mclean VA very often has NO CASHIER. It is not easy to self-check a full basket of groceries. I have been overlooking the fact that they carry few and now even fewer vegan options, but forcing me to use self-check is also forcing me to shop elsewhere. Giant, Walmart, Wegmans, Safeway, Wholefoods -- these all have cashiers that understand it is THEIR job, NOT MINE, to scan and bag my full basket of groceries. Self-check is supposed to be a convenience, not a requirement, even if you only have a few items.

I have placed 4 orders for spring water and haven't received proper order. I specifically used store locator on app to choose larger HT instacart sent shoppers to smaller store all 4 times. Mind you the larger store is only 8 minutes away from small HT.
I was suppose to receive a call from manager at headquarters today. That didn't happen. I received a letter thanking me for my imput. Nothing was resolved. I use to encourage my neighbors to have HT delivery. Since they've started with instacart I would never recommend them to anyone I know.
This is a shame because HT use to be my favorite store.

Some of the managers are so rude to their own employees I feel sorry for them.

Why do you have private reserve cheese spread and private reserve pot roast gravy....They are both great and bammmm you know longer sell or isn't available for some reason. WHY do you do that? You are a very frustrating store to deal with...so I'm moving on to a place that never stops selling. You lose

I was in your store last night. Which I needed to get cash back after making my purchase. For some reason I was distracted and walked away. I live across the str. I noticed that I didn't have the money from cash back. So I went back to the store and talked to the lady at the customer service desk. That was like pulling teeth. She didn't have an answer for me. But she tell me that I would have to wait til tomorrow so that they look at the tapes to see who took my $15. This my second incident with this Harris Teeter location in Navy Yard Washington DC S.E.It seems that you have people in positions that don't act with with no since urgency. I'm very concerned even though it's my fault that I left my cash back in the check out machine. I feel like I was penalized for that. To have to wait til the next day. Something doesn't sound right to me. I hope that complaint will be read and that this issue will be addressed. So it wouldn't happen to anyone one else.

went to the deli to get a sub, the lady threw my toppings on, slathered it in sauce, and then didn't even attempt to close it before just wrapping it up. so now i have a bigger mess than necessary and since it wasn't double wrapped like usual, it spilt everywhere in my car also due to the ridiculous amount of sauce she used.

When you get a text to pick up your prescription on January the 9th that was sent in the previous Friday morning. And you arrive in Rocky Mount North Carolina to pick up their script on January 9th to be told that they don't have the medication I have to wait till they get it. Why did they send me a text to tell me to come and pick it up I live 30 miles away this is extremely inconvenient doesn't make me happy pharmacist wasn't real friendly and I think he was a new

All help and cashiers were great. THE PROBLEM IS WITH YOUR IT DEPARTMENT. Registers are not updated to reflect your the e-vic sale price. The problem is so bad that after numerous frustrating checkouts, I have taken to printing out the e-vic specials to use at the checkout and even then I sometimes have a problem. PLEASE FIX THIS--IT IS DESTRUCTIVE OF THE EXPERIENCE YOU ARE TRYING TO CREATE.

The self check out register prompts are very confusing. I have to ask for help every time I go to the HT in Rock Hill, SC. On one occasion the person responding told me to just go through an open lane. I never have more than 3 items (senior citizen) and the open lanes usually have several customers with full carts. I have not encountered anyone who wasn't rude.

Store 413- Alexandria, VA
The crew from 3-11pm is terrible especially the customer service desk. There is a woman who is the manager blonde haired african amercian woman, who attempts to run the store like her personal life. Ask a question and she is very defensive.

Harris Teeter IMO has sold out their excellent customer service and that happened when they changed from having their employees shop for customers to Instacart.
The reason I say sold out their excellent customer service is because they use to be spot on taking care of complaints making sure they didn't happen again wanting customers to enjoy good customer service in addition to the groceries purchased from them.
I have shopped Harris Teeter for most of my groceries for approx 30 years and I've had more complaints against them in the last so many months than all of those other years put together!
Since changing to Instacart I have had groceries sent to me I did not order, groceries sent to the wrong address even though I put in the note boxes simple instructions to our home which is off a main road and very easy to find, not given the discounts I am entitled to, seals broken off meats I purchased, one very rude delivery person, and I am sure there's more that I can't remember right now.
When contacting customer service they did correct the wrong orders but they did NOT make sure they didn't happen again AND several times when they told me they would email me about the problems I was having they NEVER DID!! I even have a email from a supervisor that told me they would reply within 24 hours to my request and they never did. Other customer service employees assured me they would have someone contact me through email that never did!
I got fooled into believing they really cared about following up with me that I would get an email about the problems but then didn't. Always so nice on the phone while they are either lying about having someone email me or the person they send the complaints to they don't care enough to!
I know for a fact I am not the only one that has complained since they changed to Instacart! Many problems customers are experiencing that they didn't use to.
Why would they change from a reliable good shopping experience to a third party shopping where most of the shoppers could care less about shopping orders correctly. I put notes in their grocery note boxes that is obvious sometimes they don't even read.
Shame on you Harris Teeter for treating long time customers this way as well as anyone else!

Store #208
4/26/22 9:49 pm
Absolute poor customer service from cashier.
I lost all focal point when the cashier didn't give me brand service.
Her coworker came up to assist bagging which she responded by 'what' in which the coworker asked if I found everything ok.
She never made eye contact or anything of the sort.
I am tired and I have to process get away from her because clearly she's had a bad day/night. Just get this over.
Long story short I am a fuddled mess after asking to double ba after I see hole in bag.
I can't locate my card holder, she could care less.
After police, customer service and a very tired search of Marshall's next door. Parking lot, and my riders vehicle no luck on locating my car/holder.
Many minutes later coworker locates it laying on disgruntled associate turn stile who has clocked out and left premises.
Luckily and distraught I was still in parking lot cancelling bank card the officer comes to car and inform me my card/holder was mysteriously laying in corner of turn stile.
Hous on phone, no funds available to me.
I have lost sleep. Unable to get to bank, no Uber or work on 2 jobs today because I have funds unobtainable to me because of an eerie situation. I hate confrontation. Customer service or lack of at Harris teeter is just something that I have very rarely 1 out of 10 experienced.
The acting store manager seemed to think it was Al fault and no incident was documented.
I am loosing a minimum of $300 today because I can't financially get to my 2 jobs

I would like to start by talking about the fact that Harris Teeter employees harass me constantly when trying to buy oranges for the Goddess Arachne. My first experience with this started at the start of this year. I went in to a local Harris Teeter, to grab some oranges and salt. I was rudely confronted by the employees who said I could not grab anything, because I had a shirt with the slogan "Weava' Weava'" I got angry so I picked up a cart and bashed it on the employee while asking for the manager. The manager, a woman named Agranial, came up to me with an orange as a peace offering, as she did not want her head to be bashed in with a cart. I took the orange, swallowed it whole, grabbed a sandwich and threw it at her eyeball. I am now in the Union County Jail pending trial for two counts of assault but I know Arachne will save me!!!!!

Posted by TheNonbinaryWeaver

I would like to recount two particular horrendous experiences concerning Harris Teeter. The first one occurred fairly recently. My mother, Arachne, went to a location early in the morning with the intent of buying their entire newest shipment of oranges to make her widely know and admired salted orange pie. When she showed up to the Harris Teeter, an employee rudely told her that she could not do such things. He harassed my mother and deeply scarred her mental health, which was already very bad, due to her bipolar disorder. The second account is my first-hand experience. My local Harris Teeter contains a Starbucks. Me and my family went to Harris Teeter to buy sandwiches once and they got me an iced coffee. As we came up to the cashier, I could see him muttering something, but I payed no attention to it. When we came up to him, he said "That one" while pointing at me. Then he said "That there, folks, is a homosexual". I was mortified. Then he leaned over the counter grabbed me and punched me until I told him what school I went to. He let me go and I went home and thought about the strange encounter. The next day I went to school and the announcements came on over the speaker. It was his voice again. I froze. He said "[deadname] is a disgusting f*ggot. Stay away from her at all costs! She is a perverse queer!" After this moment, I would not go a day without being hate-crimed. My parents dumped me in a recycling bin behind a dog shelter and disowned me. In conclusion, before you go into Harris Teeter, consider the trauma they had inflicted upon me, a queer non-binary person, when I went there.

The butcher at the Denver store in North Carolina was so much help explaining, and filling my special order ribeye steaks. They were absolutely delicious and he did an excellent job in cutting the meat to my specifications. I felt he went above and beyond. Very friendly and personable. I will be back. Thank you

I had tons of trouble with the website after I had ordered some groceries to pick up. It kept making me make a new password over and over again and I couldn't even get in to let the system know that I was there to pick up my order. On a very good note when I went inside the manager, apologize for the mishap, even though it was not his fault and went and got my order. I won't be using it again and I'll just go to Walmart because their ordering system and pick up system is excellent and I never have any problems at all. Harris Teeter is ordering is fine but navigating the website was frustrating, time-consuming, and annoying so we enjoyed our food but I won't be going back again.

I am a very old customer of the SPECTRUM CENTER, RESTON, VA , HARRIS TEETER STORE.

I would like to congratulate your management for keeping a superb PHARMACIST, MS. ANETTE DENNEY. Not only she always greets the customers with a welcoming smile, regardless of how terribly busy she is, but she always goes the extra mile to make sure that the medications requested are promptly ready for pick up. But I have a very serious note to add: SHE CANNOT DO FIVE DIFFERENT JOBS AT THE SAME TIME!!!! Her staff has been reduced to just her and just another helper...NOT ENOUGH!!!! SHE IS LITERALLY SWAMPED!!! Can you find some more staff for that
pharmacy to help her out? the last thing we all customers would like to hear is that she quit due to lack of support form Harris Teeter's Management!

We LOVE TO KEEP MS. ANNETTE DENNEY. PLEASE, SEND HE RTHE NEEDED EXTRA HELP SOON!

I needed something in the produce department and asked Jeff to go in the back to see if they had any more. He brought the item back with a smile and I just appreciated his willingness to help. Even though that may have been part of his job he was swift and did it with a smile. Thank you Jeff.

I was at the Harris Teeter ( Store #136) in Wake Forest, N.C the other day where I was helped by the most knowledgeable and gracious employee I have encountered at this store since I have been shopping there the past few months. Ms. Samantha was a tremendous help as I was trying to buy seafood for an upcoming family get together, and I wanted to make sure the seafood was fresh and she gave me some tips to look for such as to pay close attention to the texture of the meat, the eye clarity, and most importantly the smell. I must admit I never knew about how to ensure my seafood was fresh but she was on top of her game. The seafood I prepared was fresh and I received many great compliments on how good and fresh everything tasted after I had prepared the meal for my family... Ms. Samantha played a tremendous role and making sure I had the very best experience while I shopped for seafood, and other meats from the meat department at store #136. Again, I owe Ms. Samantha for making my family meal a huge success.

Did Harris teeter stop making bear claw ice cream? Because our store in indian land South Carolina hasn't had it in stock for weeks. It's the one flavor that is first of all any good with chocolate and texture/crunch that works for those who are celiac and have peanut allergies Is this a discontinuation or an ordering problem with the Indian land store? Also apparently someone in the Indian land store has an opposition against ordering and keeping gluten free lasagne noodles I stock. Out of stock for months yet public's carries. Unsat Harris teeter and Indian land Harris teeter. Please fix. Bear claw ice cream and gluten free lasagne noodles oh and cup for cup gluten free flour you used to carry. Does Indian land not know what celiac disease is? Jesus!

Re: Store # 357 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC

On Sunday, Nov. 20, I somehow left my cell phone at the wine/beer counter. I happened to mention to "Meg", don't know last name, where I was going to dinner after I left the H. Teeter. At closing, Meg took the initiative to call the place I was dining to let me know where my cell phone was. What a relief!

Meg is always a great customer service representative for HT, but going out of her way to contact the dining establishment to advise me I could retrieve my cell phone from the customer service desk the next morning, is above and beyond the call of duty.

Another awesome person working the wine/beer counter is Megan; whom I am confident would have done the same thing. They both draw a regular a regular group of customers, that creates a consistency of quality service and an engaging experience.

I have not written such a commentary about anyone in the customer service business in more than ten years, but I felt the team, and Meg's extra effort deserved bringing to your attention.

I can't say the same for the Augusta Rd. wine/beer experience; and while closer to my home, I go out of my way for an engaging experience.

I would also be very remiss if I didn't say what a valuable manager you guys have in Jess, who overseas the bar, and I believe the wine area of the store. I credit her for honing the natural customer skills of Meg and Megan. Jess can also manage to handle any problematic patrons or issues in a most professional manner consistently.

Happy Thanksgiving and most sincerely,

Michael

Sabrina in the Bakery Dept at the Quail Corners Harris Teeters went over and above to create beautiful puppy dog cupcakes that were nothing less than masterpieces. When I saw them I felt like crying they were so amazing. So much love and care went into making them and they made my son's Birthday. She even made the purple puppy dogs my son requested. I posted a photo of them on line and many people said they will be going to HT at QC for their next cupcakes and cakes.

I went to store #190. I couldn't find the brand of queso dip I needed which I knew you carried. A young man from the produce department went out of his way including checking to see if it came in on the truck since the shelf was empty. It was on the truck so he brought out what I needed. His name is Matthew and I think he should be commended for his help. He really put on hold what he was doing to assist me. I very much appreciated his kindness.

I have been a customer of the Harris Teeter store at The Shops at 5810 Highland Shoppes Dr, Charlotte, NC 28269 since 2006. Out of curiosity, I tried 4 other grocery stores that have opened in my area since 2006. Harris Teeter outranked them all in terms of the quality of their food an excellent prices.

The store also outranked them in terms of customer service, and I would like to site an example of this. I recently called the store to express certain concerns about my delivery that day. I was completely surprised when I received a callback from their Customer Service Manager, Justin Hamm, who was not available at the time of my earlier call. To my amazement, Justin offered to bring the missing item to my house! Sure enough, he arrived at my house a little over an hour later.

No other grocery store would have done this. I was so impressed by the accountability of Justin Hamm and wanted to be sure the HT corporate office was aware of the standard of excellence and commitment Justin brings to his job.

Sincerely,
A very satisfied customer!

Today I shopped at your Rivertowne store on Highway 41, Mt. Pleasant SC. Today I dealt with Katie, Connie, and Hiram. Katie told me in specific detail how to find the item I was looking for, with a huge smile on her face. Connie was very efficient at the register--I told her how impressed I was. She was the second staff person friendly and efficient. The third person was Hiram. I was at the desk to observe how efficient and polite he was with a person on the telephone, with me, and an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair who needed help finding something. Hiram said he would show him where to find what he wanted, and as I was leaving, he and the gentleman were on their way. What great employees you have in that store!!

I love HT. Only requesting more Graeter's Ice Cream, please. The last 2 times I went to buy some, the supply was low and there was no Black Raspberry Choc Chip. Also if you could include Buckeye Blitz it would be great because those 2 are my and my daughter's favorite. We both moved to this area from Ky. Where there are stand alone stores. Please come here to the Steel Creek and Lake Wylie SC. Area as there are no ice cream stores and you could make a fortune here. Just sayin. Love our Graeter's!

I just went to the store on quarter path in williamsburg and Matthew was helping me find everything I needed. I had a recipe with lots of produce that I have never heard of before and he was right there able to help. He even recommended some spice to go with. Which turned out amazing.

I shop Harris Teeter, Heathcote blvd, Gainesville VA weekly always do online pickup. The customer service is awesome.
Everyone is very knowledgable, helpful, pleasant and professional. The lady, Sylvia, that usually takes my phone calls there goes above and beyond to check product availability, fill my order, work with me on substitutions, and answer all my questions. All of the employees are great. They all are "at my service" as needed. The Harris Teeter website and customer service procedures are customer friendly. with a quick phone call we can add or delete items from our online order after placing it even if it has already been shopped. The order is always ready early and is brought to our car and loaded up. I am from North Carolina and we shopped Harris teeter when i was a kid.

Tonja Griffith at the Leesville and Strickland location in Raleigh, NC location is what I would call a top performer. She works in produce. She goes out of her way to point out specials and has even cut fresh fruit for my pregnant wife. I would give her, in military terminology "promote above peers". Thanks for your attention.

Managers are cutting hours and also hiring people... made $43 this week because they are cutting hours... but the funny thing is, there's people getting the hours that they want. I honestly just think it's a favoritism thing. But because they want to cut my hours, I cannot pay my phone bill not help out with the bills like I am supposed to be doing.

My husband is working for Harris teeter for 11 years now as a journeyman meat cutter. But why all of a sudden, his store manager is changing his schedule to Deli? Is there a good explanation to that?

Posted by Anonymous

I am currently an employee at Harris Teeter however I am finding a new job. I have been working there for over a year and am getting paid less than some of the new hires coming in now. They come up with rules and don't tell you the new rules and just expect you to know them. Then once you learn them they all of a sudden won't be rules anymore. We have a registered pedophile who works there and he told me he had a crush on me and when I reported him then they told me there would be an investigation and I never heard anything about it after that. (He still works there). Some of the managers are very rude to me. Like today, I was the only cashier open, I was doing an order that was two carts, and had to use personal bags which never want to stay open for me and my manager told me I needed to be faster just because there was a line of people. A customer told my manager today that I was throwing her groceries (which was not true. I was sliding them down to my bagger and they weren't even pushed hard enough to hit the other side of the register. They were fine.) and my manager literally grabbed me around the waist and pulled me away from the register and told me to bag for someone instead of telling this customer she was wrong. This makes customers feel like they can just be rude to the employees and get away with it since they got away with it the last time. My one manager yelled at me because I told her she could not change my schedule three times a week and that it was not respectful of me and my time outside of work. Her exact words were, "I'm trying to help you. If you would just stop talking we could fix things." After she had just kept telling me it was Harris Teeter policy and then that it was a covid policy. (Both of which are lies. When I was hired I was told I would get it three weeks in advance and I had been told that the week before when I had come in with the same problem.)

Posted by HT employee

I Worked through the whole covid process to have my manager physically pulled on my arm and jacket to drag me out department because they allow managers to get away with murder. She threatened the staff several times. HR don't help at all. Called police twice on manager. Still no actions been taken. Another manager slammed door while I was standing in doorway because I was recording her arguing with me about taking a covid test even though someone tested positive in store a week before us finding out. And not from them. They cut hours even though we are essential don't follow any covid protocol AT ALL! U guys don't know how it is behind the scenes. Dogs and cats get treated and protected wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better

I used to work at the California, Md store and it was terrible. The managers made it very clear that they don't care about employees. Even the express lane manager, Ciara, stood outside and yelled at a customer because they complained their bag was missing. People go to the bathroom and hide so they don't have to work. Everyone that I've talked to since quitting there has said they're applying to other jobs and can't wait to leave because they're miserable. Worst job ever.
