Just left harbor freight. So upsetting.no one around to help so i asked mgr in her office about xmas lights advertised on circular. She never looked away from her computer and said whats there is waht we have.then totallyn ignored me Another employeed came in. I asked her instead. She left without a word and i eventually walked away. Later she was walking by a bit later i asked her and she said. "They are not in stock. On the website it says las cruces only. If you just read it"!! And kept walking. Unbelievably negstive dismissive attitude. Its typycal for most HF stores i have been to . Unfortunate but it must be the culture. but i like the low prices. Time to shop elsewhere. El paso store on north loop and joe battle.

I am a life long loyal customer if harbor freight tools along with most of my family and friends and I've always had great customer service and help when I needed questions answered and no hassles when having to return a faulty item for a new replacement. I typically don't purchase an extended warranty unless the item is a big ticket item and there has only been a few over the year's. I purchased one of the 7X10" mini metal lathes a couple years back and paid a lot for it so I opted for the extended warranty. I now have a non working mini lathe that's no better than a paper weight without the replacement part's. I was under the impression that everytime a made a purchase and gave the clerk my phone number that it would be as good as any proof of purchase receipt. Now that I actually need to use my warranty for replacement parts Harbor Freight can't seem to find my warranty. I paid a good bit of money to have that protection for what? I feel cheated and ripped off. They have lost a life long customer and many other's i know will not give them their business . I hate to sound so negative, but I feel very let down by them.

Good thing Lowes is just down the street-

Regarding your Indio store "Return Policy"- This staff is clearly trained "beyond common sense". Takes two people three attempts at not returning, but exchanging a $10-$15 item...cant pull it off without a phone number! Educated beyond their intelligence. So, as it goes today, you "won", you keep the money, because that's whats your policy is ALL about-Money. And, for less than $15 you've lost this customer forever. Lowes is just down the street...

Though in good standing with my synchrony credit account, this group closed my account based on BS reports and stated I have to many open credit cards. I do have 4 capital on cc's, all for my business. I used this card as well for my business, until this happened. I'll NEVER step foot in another HF as long as I live. Not to mention it's all junk made from China anyway!

Harbor Freight will not pick up return from my house. I am disabled and I don't have a vehicle. I have no way to drop off the item at FedEx. Other companies will pick up returns using FedEx or UPS.

Terrible. Bought battery backup for my vehicle. Started making a screaming noise soon after. Told because it was an online purchase that I had to mail back and no shipping company will accept a screaming machine. Got noise complaints at home and had to go through extra to dispose of. Trying to dispute charge through bank, since they made impossible to fulfill return.

We are inside track members & buy a lot in your stores. We bought an 8 hp predator motor 5/31 & returned it today unopened & was charged $56 restocking fee. I asked the manager there WHY?? I do not agree with this & we will probably take our business elsewhere unless this is resolved. I even offered to get the full refund on a gift card & had receipt.

Went in looking for something that was supposed to be there. Not a single employee out of the three greeted me or offered to help me locate the item. I left without it while the employees all stood at the register talking to each other.

They got me on the stocking fee .Wich is unfair for returning a pressure washer after 7 days that was defective. They are ripping people off with this . Customer does not do anything about it.the store is in Salem nh and the date was 3/24/23. Never will buy there again.

So I buy a good bit of Harbor freight tools. I enjoy her freight tools. I have 30 years of experience and mechanic work. I'm a heavy duty diesel mechanic as my business this past week. I bought a brand new bowl joint master kit because my old one was worn out Used it yesterday. New out of the box. The main frame exploded in my face did a lot of damage to my face when I was far away from it broken nose loss for teeth, eyesocket, damage, and a lot of swelling

Harbor freight tools. Oops that's Harbor Junk Tools to be honest. This company does not take care of there customers. I had bought an air compressor with the extended warranty. A year later the air compressor needs to be taken back for an exchange. Because Harbor Junk Tools no longer has the air compreser available I have to pay OVER $200.00 for another air compressor more then what I had paid for the extended warranty. This is about the 2nd or 3rd time this has happened with Harbor Junk tools. Harbor junk tools wants you to buy the extended warranty knowing that they only keep their products for a short time, so the customers will ALWAYS need to pay more out of pocket when exchanging a product with the extended warranty. It's about what they can get from customers instead of treating the customer right. Save money and time by shopping at Home Depot or Lowe's. I will NEVER purchase anything again from Harbor Junk Tools because that the quantity you will get. That's why they are only a 1 1/2 star company.

I purchased a compression gauge that was on close out from Harbor Freight on Nine mile road in Pensacola Florida. I work on small engines and figured I would need it one day so why not take advantage of the price. Well I didn't need it for 3 months. Working on my Stihl 046 I decided I needed to check the compression since it with l wouldn't start. When I did it registered 30psi. That looked awful low for the way the saw Saitama l sounds and the pressure I'm getting pulling the cord. So I check a saw that is running beautifully and I know to run on 150psi. It to only registered 30PSI. I check my truck with a 4.2 Vortec V-6. It to only registered 30PSI.. Immediately I recognized the gauge was defective and took it to the store to exchange it. They told me there was nothing they could do since I waited 3 months to return it. Defective or not they wouldn't do anything. Well a couple months later, in December 22, I ran into an issue with a customers saw and needed a compression gauge. After seeing the prices I went back to harbor freight and bought another one. They had restocked the exact same tool they where closing out only a few months before. Anyway I get it home and I can't get anything to read over 30psi with this new one as well. So this is 2 for 2 doing the exact same thing. So 2 days after purchasing it I return it. I tell them it's defective and explain that tools that have to have 100-160 PSI to even run and these tools run well are only registering 30psi d this tool is defective. They ask if I want another. I reply no this is the second one that does the exact same thing. Then I'm told that they are charging me a 20% restocking fee. The item is defective, and I was charged a 20% restocking fee. I have only returned an item to harbor freight twice before and that's over at least a 5 year stint. I immediately call customer service when I get to my truck and they took down all the info and tell me a district manager will be contacting me. To date I have contacted them once by phone and 5 times by email and I still have vir e hard a word from any manager or even another customer service rep to follow up. They made it clear that I could keep the defective tool, exchange it for another when the two I have where both defective or I can give them a 20% restocking fee. How is that right. A business gets credited for defective items by the distributor in most cases. If they don't is their own poor negotiating skills that caused it. And at the end of the year anything they take a loss on they write off in their taxes. So they get my 20%, they hey credited and possibly get to write it off as well. It was either agree to the 20% or be out the entire amount one way or the other. In my eyes and the way I see that is theft. And not just theft, that is being blackmailed into agreeing to pay them the 20% because it either do or I lose 100%. Is been three months and after repeatedly contacting them via email I have not had a return email or call from a manger or anyone looking to rectify the situation. They have ignored me 100%. I am now making it my job to inform everyone, everywhere about the greed of the managers and staff of Harbor Freight. I live on fixed income and only work on these saws in order to be able to afford to live and not be homeless. My little 1000 a month with making a little extra to cover utilities would ensure I was on the street. And harbor freight stealing from me while they triple dip is uncalled for. And the managers not responding and calling me or emailing me only goes to show they know how wrong they are, but don't intend to do anything other then steal the next customers money.

I receive ails from Harbor freight and I went into the Harbor freight in Dahlonega and asked the woman who was standing at the bottom of the register where the tarp was that I received in an email. She said all of out tarps are on the back wall. She didn't offer any assistance. I walked to the back wall and there was no take with the measurements that I received in my email. I walked back up front and the only person I seen was the cashier and she had a full line. I said, just forget it.that store sucks. Need some people in there who are more customer svc friendly. My last time in that location.

Recently purchased a zurich zr13 odb11 hand scanner.worked fine intill I changed the batteries.hooked it up to my truck and it's telling me no dtc detected but my check engine light is on for a evap code.so I'm thinking it needs to have the software updated.was able to download it to my laptop but the scanner would not ecept the update.so I call tech support and spoke with Diana From technical support.she tells me the scan tool I have has been discontinued and there's nothing that can be done.ive only had this scan tool roughly 5-6 months.on the package it clearly states free Downloadable updates.so because they discontinued this product I'm now forced to go buy another one from. a Reputable Distributor.clearly harbor freight do not honor there products.will definitely not recommend or shop there again.

The HBF store in Brooklyn needs to train their staff. Very rude, inexperienced and have no idea what is in their store.

Harbor freight has the same business motto as the postal service. Hire really stupid people cause they're easy to manipulate, only problem is when the people doing the hiring is as stupid as the ones being hired there is seldom a good outcome.their motto is we'll have a sale, but screw'em if you can.

impossible to reach customer service over the phone. it takes hours to even talk to someone. very rude store manager and just there to make your life difficult when you want to return something.
they are the worst...

Never received my order placed online. Tracking number was wrong from the start and I'm unable to check status of the order through the website. No one answers the 800 number and it is almost impossible to email. When someone finally called me back, he too was unable to give me the correct FedEx tracking number and said my order would arrive "Sunday". It's been a month. Wonder how hard getting a refund will be?

A business that sells absolute junk in some cases dangerous, doesn't have sale items in stock, provides miserable warranties, and treats customers very poorly. Ya, I can't wait to get there and buy something

Posted by Anonymous

Refused to accept coupon code even though it says online that its valid online and instore. Then refused to service as well. That was discriminatory. Highly disappointed at their customer sevice. But well, whose to listen. When a customer does wrong, they call police but when they do you wrong . Police refuse to respond saying contact corporate as they will entertain this. Yh right. Juat writing this for the record I am 100% sure nothing will come out of this.

Why even bother to make a comment when they don't even respond. Won't see my butt in any of their stores ever again. Very sad customer service

Very rude cashier. Asked for personal info, that I refused to divulge. Cashier was pushy and almost demanded I give my phone number. I refused and hot nothing but attitude. I'm done with Harbor Freight.my personal information is my business, not theirs.

All coupons are now digital, no flyers anymore. You must have all your coupons with you for each and every item while the people behind you in line get so pissed off waiting. Ridiculously cumbersome. Why not have a sale and automatically give the sale price to customers? Too easy?? If you get into their inside track club you still have to present coupons to the cashier, they don't apply automatically with your card either. I am going back to Home Depot, better product and quicker check out!!

I've been unhappy with my local (Commack, NY) in the past, they didn't have items advertised for sale and were rude about it. Today, I picked up a couple of small items and got on line, there were 2 people ahead of me and I got on the 6 foot line marked on the floor. When I got to the register, the cashier said I had to get on the line-- on the other side of the store! A second register was opened and a line started in another aisle that I could not see. There was NO sign saying "Line starts here." The staff started berating me for cutting the line! I threw my items down, told them I couldn't read their f'__ing minds, and stormed out of the store. I won't tolerate a store that has a "secret" line up policy that they expect customers to follow, and I will not tolerate their abuse. I'll never shop there again.

Hey guys, I love your tools! They are so good, the tool snobs don't have much to say. I would like to see if you would or are considering making your Hercules cordless ratchets brushless? The same with the really small 1/4" and 3/8" impact guns as well. You would hit these two out of the park so to speak, if this was to happen. Snap on has their small impacts, and so does Milwaukee. I recently purchased your 3/8" mid torque impact and it's really earned my respect.

This is not a complaint.
This is a compliment about the young lady that manages the Round Lake store (60073).
I miss-placed the receipt with her name. This person should be your employee of the
month. She addressed my issues with a product and treated me as a human being. I was
more then satisfied with her understanding of the issue and the resolve. Great lady
to work with.

I am a customer at your Sebring Fl store. The cashier named Carol
has such a welcoming greeting & makes my visit makes me feel welcome. Her disposition is beyond excellent. Always has a smile & makes you feel that she knows you and always knowledgeable of where thing are in the store. In today times she is a real asset to your corporation. Someone like Carol should be recognized.
