Yes my husband bought a ticket leaving from Petersburg Va going to myrtle beach South Carolina bus was delayed 3 hours and he was left stranded in a bad part of town then when the bus finally came the driver drove down a one way street twice my husband feared for his life so he got off the bus to make matters worse you wouldn't refund my ticket how obsurd it was yalls fault!!! Need to vet your drivers better I actually prayed the passengers made it to their destinations it is ridiculous that people have to go through such horrible experiences

I purchased a ticket for my 19 year old son leaving from Pittsburg PA going to Bellingham WA His bus was to leave the Pittsburg station at 1:55am on the 5th of January 2024 in to which it was delayed and didn't leave until 2:40am he then had a lay over in St. Louis and then in Las Vegas in the trip between St. Louis and Las Vegas for some reason the bus was delayed and took forever getting out of Denver Colorado which made him delayed to get to Las Vegas and catch his connecting bus to Las Angeles so we then contacted customer Service and they said he would have to reschedule but there wasn't another bus leaving Las Vegas for 2 days later after being very floored at this happening we had no other choice but to reschedule then after finding out that the station was going to close at midnight until the next morning leaving my son outside all night in a city he didn't know with little money went to the front counter to see if there was any way he could get accommitdated for a hotel room like customer service said he would but needed to do it with a Supervisor they told him they no longer do this so we pleased with the Man at the counter to please see if there was another bus coming in to at least get him to Las Angeles luckly my son hopped a ride on the bus he wasn't suposed to be on only because there was a seat available now my son is in Las Angeles mind you this whole time he is trying to get to a very important college Program he was starting that coming Monday the 8th. Now he's stuck in Las Angeles they also tell him the station is going to close and he will be stuck outside he pleaded with the Man at the counter named Gilbert as did I via phone to please see what he could do to get him a seat on the bus going to his next lay over to Sacramento and luckly the bus did have a seat so he was able to get to Sacramento now once in Sacramento he was let off in the middle of the night with the station not opened now mind you all this bus hopping so he could make it to his program if he didn't do this he would have still been stuck in Las Vegas until Tuesday the 9th when he was suposed to be in Bellingham Wa on Monday the 8th so from there finding out that Greyhound would be no help in getting him on a sooner bus I had to purchase 2 more tickets one to get him form Sacramento to Portaland OR and one from Portland OR to Bellingham WA so after arriving in Portand OR Greyhound dropped him off at 11:45 at night in a bus termanil garage and nothing was open his connecting bus wasn't leaving until 7am the next morning with nothing around open no hotels no nothing my 19 year old son had to stay outside all night for 8 hours in the cold and rain finally morning comes and while waiting for his bus from Portland to Bellingham he was informed 20 minutes prior to this bus that it had been cancelled and the next bus wouldn't be coming until the next day he has now been travelling for 4 days bus hopping because they let him and stuck in the cold at night so after him and me having a melt down we seen that there was an amtrak accross the street and luckly they had tickets for that late morning going to bellingham WA. All my son was trying to do was get from Pittsburg PA to Bellingham WA to start his life with a very important college program that he was late for a day and a half late for this was his first time traveling. After contacting Customer Service and filling out the complaint and refund form I have been told there is nothing Greyhound will do about this delay that caused this whole thing and had him stuck in Las Vegas for 2 days because the bus was late coming in and made him miss his connecting bus. They keep trying to say that the rescheduled ticket had no mishaps I keep telling them that's not the ticket in question it's the initial ticket I purchased that had the delay not the rescheduled on the rescheduled one had him waiting 2 days the initial ticket was the one that was delayed in which made him reschedule and I want a refund on the initial ticket not the rescheduled one. This situation is so obsured and wrong and it's unaccebtable what Greyhound does to people this shouldn't be legal to leave people stranded in cities they don't know for days while stations are closed all night long and to have delays for days and not to compensate the traveler anything and then to keep making excuses why they can't give a refund this is not right and Greyhound needs to be help accountable.

Worst experience ever. My kids were stuck in Sacramento and the bus was cancelled. I had to pay 113.26 for a motel for them after the bus station threw them out at 11am due to no more busses for the day. My kids were on the street. What a terrible feeling as a mother. They didn't even offer a motel room or anything.

The WORST! I had a bus scheduled to leave at 5:15 from Hollywood, FL going to Tampa. I arrived 15 minutes early just as they say to. When there was no bus that came, I noticed there were 9 other passengers waiting. I called customer service and they said that the bus left at 5:03 and that I should have been there 20 minutes early. What fantasy world do these people live in that they think it is okay for a scheduled bus to leave 15 minutes early and then blame the passengers for not being on the bus and then they told me I had to buy a new ticket for the following day! I am hoping they refund my money because these people are crazy if they think this is right in any way!!!

I have been at port authority since 4:00 and my bus was suppose to leave at 5:30 and it's now 7:31pm and have got no updates on this bus. This is unexceptionable and just so you know I am traveling with 4 people and we will never go with greyhound again. Please post this on social media!!!!! N

This is the worst bus trip I have ever had in my life. What started as a 2 day trip from Las Vegas,NV to Dallas TX, is now a 4 day trip. On Wednesday Dec. 13,2023 Your representative at Union Station in Los Angeles, were no help in advising people to why the 11:20pm bus going to Dallas Texas, was late & didn't show up. After 1 hour of waiting, we were put on the bus going to Phoenix. Once we reached Phoenix Thursday Morning, we were told that the bus was going to continue to Dallas after a 30 minutes layover. But again after 1 hour we was informed that the was not going to Dallas, & told extremely rudely to remove our luggage. Then rudely we were told we could not get a bus to Dallas until 5am Friday morning.
I called customer service to ask for assistance in accommodation, since we were being stranded in Phoenix by no fault of ours, and was told the bus station would have to do the accomodations. The Ladies at the counter said rudely they are not Greyhound station, it was an agency and they do not do accomodations.

I am an elderly lady,& could no way possible sit in this bus station for 20 plus hours waiting on the next bus.

I tried call customer service, ask for a manager, which I was hung up on ,3 times.

I feel that I should refunded the money that I had to spend on a hotel room, due to your company.

I'm absolutely disgusted with Greyhound! My husband was in an accident on the way to the bus station and not only did Greyhound refuse to reschedule the departure date for free due to an emergency but they refused to make an exception regarding their refund policy and I am out $300!! What kind of business doesn't make an exception in the event of an emergency!?! I will be sharing this all over social media!! I will make sure that I speak to the CEO and get my money back!

Every experience I have with Greyhound is awful but of course when you're desperate for travel they can treat you any way they please even if they have to be messed up mean disrespectful and horrible can't tell you nothing and not even care if you're lost or stranded or have kids suffering, lazy workers don't give a crap that shouldn't have jobs there I hope one day you all don't exist anymore and there's a better bus station that makes travel easier and better I'm hoping and praying for that day cuz you guys suck and don't make anything better or convenient for anybody

Greyhound is completely lacking in customer service, professionalism, and communication. On Monday, October 8th at 6:30 AM I was scheduled to take a bus to Richmond from Washington DC Union Station to my rural community in Oak Hall, VA. My bus was so late that I would miss my scheduled connection. Which would not be a big deal if there were any other bused scheduled that day to take me home. Instead of the rep at the ticket window checking to see if their was another connection scheduled for that day, they just assumed their was and instructed me to wait. After the bus was delayed for three hours with no update from the website or team I went to look for myself to see when the next connection was since the Oak Hall drop point is a stop not a Station, to update my ride home. When I visited their site I found their existed no other bus from Richmond to Oak Hall not only for that day. So I spoke to the rep and they told me to ask the other bus operator heading to Richmond if I could board her bus. She was rude and presumptuous. Telling me it wasn't her fault I was late and she did not have to let me board. Without hearing me out to learn that my bus was the delayed one and I would be stranded if I waited for the bus I paid to ride. Then the rep can not process refunds and directed me to call customer service, which also cannot process refunds and directed me to an online portal. The next business day I was informed that they would not refund my trip despite the delay being on them, but that I could have voucher for half the ticket price that I paid, only available for 3 months from the date of issue. I ended up have to pay extra money to get on the train to Wilmington Delaware and buy a brand new ticket from Delaware to Oak hall. That bus was also late, their bus station closed at 5 PM and I had to stand outside in the dark and the cold for six hours waiting on my new transfer bus. Every bus put of Wilmington, DE that day was no less than four hours late. The reps at that station disappeared for four hours leaving passengers unaware of what was going on and unable to speak to anyone about the delays.If there is any other way on planet Earth for you to travel choose that option. This company is a scam, they do not remedied their own mistakes, they do not train their staff in customer service and once they have your money they treat you like garbage and refuse to return your funds. Do Not Book with Greyhound!

First off I will never take this bus service again. This was the worst experience ever. I took a bus to Atlantic City for my 10 year wedding anniversary! The bus leaving from Boston was 2 hours late, then get to Ny and the 11 bus pulled out at 1:30pm! Now agin today in NY and the bus is two hour late again! If you can't be on time then don't take our money! Hopefully I will never have to experience this agin I will take Amtrak or Peter Pan! Y'all need to get it together

The Greyhound bus stops in Richmond Va ,is so trashy and dirty the janitor does the best he can I assume ,but the woman bathroom is horrible it sinks smells of urine half the toilet don't work ,some of the toilets are not even in the walls some hone completely,my husband said that the men's bathroom is even worse than the woman's,You set inthe lobby all you smell is urine , the floors need waxing the grass on the outer side needs moving there is trash everywhere in the passenger drop off area ,The bus station is located right across from the Richmond Braves baseball field ,how do y'all its in a central location ,but over the years it seems like no one is concern about the well fare of the elderly and young childern who have to set im a nasty filthy smelly bus station , Greyhound corporation really need to do better with the inspection of there Richmond VA bus station.All kinds of dieaese come from filthy unclean smelly area of your bus termial.The Richmond VA bus station is consider a hub where people change buses.Richmond bus station use to be nice ,clean smell good ,nice men and women bathroom now its just one big mess of unclean

Greyhounds lack of security lack of caring caused me to miss a bus I know that in the past they used to allow you to pay to extend your ticket now they're rude they're pushy and the wonder nobody wants to ride with them it was none of my fault that I missed that bus due to a transient blocking the way to the bus through the station and they're two employees who were of no help I'm out all the money and why should they care it's not them

Under no circumstances should customers especially women have to spend the night outside at a bus stop in rain with no restrooms etc...due to a canceled bus schedule.there should be back up plans so that situations like this be avoided by all means..and the Lies are very unprofessional...

Here in Chicago, the buses are always late!..poor attitude minority staff full of excuses and careless mentality.
Greyhound should call themselves Grey Dog bus line!...Back in the day they had stand by coaches with back up to compensate for a bus stuck in traffic, but timeliness and good service are no longer their goal.

Don't use Greyhound, here I explain why. My gf took Greyhound yesterday, there was an issue with the bus, so it stopped on a highway for 4 hours, waiting for a new bus to come. After 4 hrs, the drivers together with 2 polices secured the passengers and transferred them to a new bus. Guess what happened. After 1 h, this second bus again was not working. Finally, they left all passengers at a gas station. My gf was left at this gas station and I had to drive 2 hours to take her back. I paid 60$ for my ticket and they didn't provide the service. I contacted the customer service, and they said we cannot give the money back.

Its amazing this company is still in business. The deivers are terrible the sevice is bad. i was on a bus form Nebraska to Sacramento and it was a nightmare. The second bus driver change, wouldn't come out and we were 3 hours late when we got to vegas then the idiot black woman allowed the bus to leave and she then proceeded to go off, and wonder of all wonders be unprofessional, yelling at me for her ignorance . That made me miss the next bus in LA so after 2 missable days on a bus and and another day and a half still to go I caught a plane, bc i would never have made my next bus and greyhound determined THERE WAS NO DELAY!! Refused to issue me even a partial refund. I will be disputing it with my credit card company. We need a competitor to this ridiculous company bc then this won't happen as long as the new company doesn't hire black women

Right now I am traveling with my family to New York from Baltimore. First thing is that the staff at Baltimore Terminal is extremely discourteous and non-cooperative. The second thing is that their booking and seating system is terribly unreliable and undependable. I reserved four seats on the bus much ahead of the departure date but at the time of departure they told me that no seat was available. They offered me to board another bus which was not going to my desired destination. The bus I am offered to board is stinking like anything. One of the most terrible experiences of my life. Never opt for Greyhound if u have other options.

I had a terrible experience with the greyhound bus, my trip was scheduled on the 29th of July 2023 @ 7 pm leaving from port authority bus station to silver spring maryland, unfortunately the bus was delayed from 7pm to 9pm then delayed to 10pm waited until 10.45 pm no bus and no one to let us the passengers know what is going on, then eventually we were told around 11pm that the bus is cancelled, with no other details we were left to figure out what to do next without any explanation from authorities. Greyhound never refund my money, I will never use greyhound ever again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, Megabus is better!!!

I used the Greyhound bus today July 4 from Baltimore to NY and I was very impressed with the service. The bus left on time, the seats were comfortable and had good leg room. However, I was very impressed with the driver. He was very courteous and communicated very clearly to the passengers when he was going to make a stop.

Tonight I arrived at the greyhound station in Nevada. Usually the representative at the ticket booth tells customers to call the 800 number. For once their was a gentleman working and helping everybody. This man needs to be knowledged for doing such a good job.

I took the Greyhound from Toronto Canada to Las Vegas....most of the trip and drivers were excellent...BUT the last driver who took us into Las Vegas on Dec 19 2014 the last stretch of the trip was HELL, he was RUDE & IGNORANT... he threatened to leave us at all stops... if we didn't get back on the bus in like 5 minutes....he laughed to his co-pilot driver about once when someone he had left had to run & jump over a fence to get back on his bus!!! I am a disabled women & I was SICKKENED to listen to his BS..etc SHAME on HIM....And I hope he will be checked up on!!!

I had arranged to fly from Denver to Manila, to spend Thanksgiving with my Filipino family. Everything depended upon catching the 7:35 p.m. bus out of Trinidad, Colorado so as to get to Denver in time for my initial flight to LA. I arrived around 5....and....no bus. I called their Help Line but got a recorded message saying this line was "closed until 5 a.m." I waited around until 11:30, when a bus did show up but it was going the wrong direction. When I asked the driver if he knew whether or not another bus would be arriving soon, heading north, he said he didn't know....and dismissed me.
Consequences: (1) Missed my flight and as the ticket is nonrefundable, I can only get credit for another, future flight at considerably more expense. (2) My wife had to cancel her own travel arrangements, which cost us another $250. (3) She also had to cancel hotel reservations, at another expenditure of $150. (4) My family, which I have not seen since mid-summer--now I won't be able to see them until June of 2015. (5) My little girl, age 6, keeps asking her mother why daddy isn't coming. (6) Christmas and birthday gifts I had with me, I now will have to mail at my own expense. (7) Health food products which my wife requested I purchase in America since she cannot find in the Philippines and which she needs as she is not in the best of health....these too, will have to be shipped.
DO NOT USE GREYHOUND seems to be the logical message of this experience. Oh yes, and when I tried to call Saturday (today) to talk to someone about this, I received a recorded message that no one would be able to assist me until "regular business hours, Monday."
I plan on posting as many complaints as possible about this "bus service" which seems to have as much concern about its customers as your typical dope dealer ("Hey, man; he's wasted? No problem. More where he came from.")

Greyhound Package Express shipping!!
At first I look at all the review online and very worry about having an item I got from ebay shipped from Sacramento, CA to Fort Lauderdale, FL. It was quoted 9-10 days $80 but it arrive in 6 days across the USA.

Tracking was a bit slow but calling the 800 # give me exact location on where the item is.

I track it using the bus schedule and indeed it arrive in the afternoon and got a call from the station. Fast easy pick up...

VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE. I guess don't ship expensive items and make sure package the item well...

Recently I travelled with Greyhound bus from silver spring, MD to New York, it was raining and we had a safest journey for me and most passengers. Thanks to the bus driver who was very cautious on the road, i will continue to use Greyhound buses. GOD BLESS!!!

I have to say that after reading all of the complaints on here I was terrified to get on the bus. Something to think about is people are many times more likely to write a complaint than a complement. So keep that in mind. I am sure some people have had terrible experiences just as with everything but here is mine.

I was on the 1:50 am bus out of Tremonton UT, on Tuesday June 28th. The bus arrived at about 1:35 a.m. Immediately about 18 people got off and milled around. Many of these people to me looked very scary. One guy kept falling on the ground and doing weird things. I thought great here we go with the nightmare. The guy that kept falling down at first left the bus then after about a 15 minute delay came back on. His seat was already taken so he tried to sit next to a young lady (20's) immediately, even before he got a chance to sit down a bus security person came back and told him there was no way he was going to sit next to her. People were rearranged a bit and he sat in his own seat seemingly without incident. At the next stop he was told to leave the bus. He did with no incident. They make it very clear that if you drink either on or off the bus at a stop you will be removed. I don't know what was wrong with this guy but he was removed.

The people on the bus seemed friendly there was a little bit of chatter but not much. Everyone kind of watched out for each other. As for people being left behind. I am sure it happens. You are told exactly when to be back and if you are late you will be left behind. I saw one exception to this when a lady that was about 85 got off the bus but was late getting back. The driver went and helped her back to the bus. Very gentleman like. All three of my drivers were very nice. They explained everything going on very well. As for lost luggage I did not hear any complaints of lost luggage. You need to be vigilant with your bags. Simply watch and make sure they get on the bus. I watched mine shuffled around 3 times and each time they were put on the right bus.

Overall I think it was a good experience. I would do it again.

Arrived in Billings Montana, waited for our connecting bus and were told that there was a problem with the driver, he wasn't certified. They called around to find an on call driver. None available. Then we were told at 1:30 AM that it would be 2:30 PM the next day before we would be able to get a bus out to our destination. We don't blame your staff, but we are concerned about the repeated lack of interest in offering more reliable service to your customers. I really hope that Greyhound Corporation heads will get together to offer a reliability that isn't relative to undeveloped nations. I believe this is possible.
No more delays.
preparation for possible causes of delay and solutions that answer the problem getting customers on their way.

I really have confidence that if you want to you can solve these minor issues to a valuable service.

I was not thrilled to be taking the bus all the way from Minnesota to Memphis as it was going to be a long trip. My original bus was cancelled but they placed me on a different bus right away. There were very friendly people at the terminal in Miwaulke. And from Chicago to Memphis I got to ride the new buses which were very nice. I accidentely left my phone on the bus, and tried getting a hold of someone at the memphis terminal. It took me a long time to talk to a real person and they didn't have it. When I gave up hope I got a call from the chicago terminal saying they found my phone and they shipped it to me with no charge!

First, was a Personnel Supervisor for Pacific Bell's Chief Engineer's Department and I wish many of our people could Emulate the Wonderful Attitude of Your Caring Staff!

Wow, have not ridden a Greyhoung in 40 Years and it was a Wonderful Experience! Traveled from Redding at 5:40 PM on 12-27 to Ocean-side, Calif. From my initial contact with the Ticket Reservation person through several stops and the Bus Drivers it was Really a Fun and Rewarding Experience! The 1st driver had to put up with a Disability Rider and I was amazed of how he handled that passengers "Extremely Disruptive Mannerism"! That driver demonstrated a Caring Attitude that was "Way Beyond Fantastic"! The last driver from LA to Oceanside was also a Wonderful and Caring person that treated "Each and Every Passenger as They were his Only Customer"! Again, rode for 1/4 the Cost of Flying and it only took about three hours longer and was a lot more rewarding!

Keep up the Great Job of handling your routes and Treating US the Customers as Number 1!

Horrible Horrible Horrible service.

Was scheduled for a 7am GLI 2504 bus from NYC to Boston. No bus driver scheduled. Bus driver who is scheduled to drive a 8am bus is now requested by dispatcher to take scheduled 7am passenger. Now driver is PISS. Me not realizing I'm starting in the wrong boarding area lines gave him my ticket and he told me I'm at the wrong line number so I said to him every time I take Greyhound every one have so many different rules and grey hound need to enforce it rules. I moved over to the line I needed to be with my daughter. Her the driver says to me go upstairs and change ticket because I'm not going on his bus. Have not been any threat to this bus driver of bus 87642 but I'm not allowed on the bus with purchased ticket after the bus was late already because of NO driver. Is that the customer service of greyhound drivers. Thankfully another driver saw this and allowed me to get to Boston on his bus but now I'm delayed because of this bus driver and have to hear back to New York after dropping off my daughter and don't know what I will encounter when I get to the agents in Boston. Greyhound your drivers need a course on customer service and hire some more drivers so your employees would not feel overwhelmed and pass it on customers. WILL NEVER RIDE GREYHOUND AGAIN. NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I work in the Columbus Ohio terminal. If anyone ever has any problem while here please do not hesitate to ask to see me or any of my co-workers.
