I submitted a ticket about being unable to get my free trial license that came with the purchase of my new computer. The response was to get on and talk with live chat, no solution or attempt was made. They then immediately send another email saying how they were happy to solve my problem. THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING. Live chat couldnt help me either so i never got my trial. Im almost glad i didnt get it now, they treat customers like trash.

ESET has fallen into the bowels of mediocrity. ESET has zero retail customer service and if you complain, they cancel you.

My school uses this and this restarts my computer automatically and we cannot stop it. The school forbid us to uninstall it. Even though i had it i still got hacked. Useless.

I had 2 years left on my home desktop subscription,they discontinued it and told me to contact tech support for assistance. Since they discontinued it I was told sorry charlie purchase the business version. Attempted to call the number given to me during my chat session only to listen hold for 45 min got tired hung up.
The software works but only half A$$ on linux always had issues.

BEWARE OF THIS OUTFIT TKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN, FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, what negative you hearing about ESET Customer Support is very much true. I have been ESET customer for few years and because I am IT I really didn't need their help until now and that's where the true colours show. After sending ESET emails on 2 different occasions just with inquiry as to licensing so wasn't even technical issue I haven't heard from anyone for weeks. All of the sudden I get response that my ticket has been closed and if I need more assistance I should open another ticket...disgusting.
I end up finishing my subscription and not looking back at ESET,

I've been an ESET customer for several years and have needed to transfer licenses once in a while. I don't know what happened, but it's taken me over an hour do reinstall ESET on a new computer after the old one died. The website instructions are pitiful and just do not adequately explain how to do this simple task. I'm seriously reconsidering renewing.

Spent weeks trying to get their cloud service working. Book several appointment with support, no call back whatsoever. Finally got on a phone with a support, the guy had no clue and ask me to email support..duh! What a horrible product and service...

So I have about 70 licenses in total including the 20 / 2 year license I have for Simpsons. I am a ESET partner .......

So I recently got whacked with Ransomware via RDP attacks and decided to get ESET Secure Authentication for RDP services / server. I spoke to Chad Williams who explained the product for me and advised that this would help with my rdp issues. I called in and was told I must log into my profile and do this myself after having a account manager for 2 years and she use to do it quickly for me when I am on the road etc ... Nathan advised me that I must do it myself...... I found this odd considering that for 2 yrs it was never a problem .... Fair enough I logged into my profile and did it as told by Nathan ( Support Team ) I struggled installing the software on our server as it failed with various things and so I decided I need help .... I contacted ESET Support team as they advertise that they support their products and I have never had bad service before !!! I then came through to Nathan again and asked him if he could please assist me with this installation and setup ? His reply was without hesitation : NOT NOW !!!! You must log a request with support to arrange a time and date ????

I am almost paying R 10 000 for this product and you give me lip because I need your help ? So I tried to reach out to the CEO or director but of course he was in a meeting ..... I am emailing him now so I will advise what they came up with in terms of their service and resolution ..... I find it shocking how they claim to support their product yet when calling their support center you get told to email support ?? I also have stuff to do just like them and cannot hang around for them to decide when it suits them ... If this is the kind of support one gets these days while owning so many licenses etc I will not renew ANY of my clients and rather move to a product that DOES what they claim in terms of support .... I fear to think how end users are treated if this is how a partner gets treated ??? Shocking ...............

No response from customer support when I updated the software and it kept giving red flags that components aren't running.

I purchased the multi security pack and I spant hours trying to install and get set up. It is not a user frienldy program. I went to the website to ask for help and got the runaround screens take you from one screen to the next in circles never can get to chat. Finally sent a message, respons takes one day after a review. During the night computer hacked the security system hacked was left as a shell on desk top open nothing in it! My system vulnerable! All hosed up! Went to chat once I found it, they said it wasnt a virus , they cover viruses, yet the first line of there ad says "blocks malware and hackers" rep says cant block them they get around it! Do ya think!! He didnt say sorry lets make this right was rude and just wanted to argue with me, I asked for my money back, gave me a link and that was it! Very poor custmer service he said you contacted tech support we dont handel that, well last time I checked hackers was a tech support problem!

Nod32 Antivirus Hindered me in almost all aspects and now this morning after an update and windows update Eset refused to cooperate with the system, There has been an issue with it scanning incoming streams and ruining games even in GAMER MODE, Pausing Eset was the only way to get functionality from the machine

I tried SMART MODE no Good
Policy mode
Interactive Mode
The other modes were like some POW Camp towards the OS


Interactive mode was fantastic after telling it to remember specific programs over and over and over and over it would keep asking me over and over, Nod32 never again.

Terrible company. Their phone number is non-working, they don't respond to emails in the promised time and their chat session "feature" appears to be down.

i renewed my eset service for another year in june of 2015. last week my hard drive died, so after buying a new one and installing the operating system i went to eset's site to see if i can reinstall the anti virus again. there is no way to get it done, so i sent them an email. i got a reply that someone will contact me within 48 hours. well, it seems their clock is broken because nobody made any contact. how can i run my computer without a security program? but they dont care, they sold it, after that they dont seem to be responsible to give good service. not again. next time i will buy another program.

Slowed down my brand new laptop to point of being unusable. Uninstallation process was extremely awkward as I had to get the uninstaller tool from Scandinavian ESET page and had to boot up laptop in safe mode to finally remove the program fully. Overall extremely negative experience and unhelpful website.

Worst customer technical support oever on the planet. I am a partner with ESET and have my own partner line to call. I have to hold 20-45 minutes to talk to a rep on an urgent situation. UNSATISFACTORY! ESET!!!. Your software is fantastic but your support and renewal process is a disaster. I suggest, being that you actually make a bundle in revenue profit, you actually put money into the phone support ASP. This is discouraging as a customer and a partner. If a piece of software comes out that is close to being like your product and I can call and actually talk to someone, a LIVE person within 3-5 minutes, BYE BYE ESET!

By far the worst customer service ever provided to a consumer. I had renewed my paid subscription for TWO years from July 17,2012 to July 16,2014. Eventhough it was not time for me renew, I renewed my subscription on March 12,2014 for another TWO years. But when I activated my renewal, my coverage was for TWO years from March 12,2014 to March 12,2016. In the process I was cheated out of FOUR months of paid subscription. My repeated attempts to resolve the issue has fallen on deaf ears. Bitdefender is an awesome antivirus software.

I have used ESET Smart Security Home Edition several years and found that it works well......as long as you don't need customer service for anything. I recently renewed my license and had a problem immediately after activation. My computer locked and would not reboot. I contacted customer service and received a response that is was a "Microsoft" problem and they would not help me. I later resolved the issue, which was not a "Microsoft" problem, it was an ESET problem. I let ESET customer service know of my dissatisfaction and they responded they were glad the problem was fixed and if they could be of further help to contact them again. For what!!!

installed and purchased this ani virus program and was billed for something other than what was ordered. Terrible Sales Department obviously. now if that was done and it happens to 300 people or more, how much have you got in the bank if it takes up to 10 days to return monies. Alot, company must be going bankrupt or out of business. Again, Terrible Sales Department. Irrate Customer...

Product is super. Support is terrible if you don't like waiting for an hour minimum with an issue. Once on the phone they are very helpful.

I have very few support issues so I will put up with it as as a Corp user with 150 end users the product far surpasses Symantec and Trend Micro products that were used in the past.

However, if support needs increase, I will have to review again.

In my life time, I have contactes several customer care. But none had provide service like ESET. ESET customer care services are really satisfactory. The timely help and guidance with clarity is awesome, which adds more credit to the company. Hats off ESET... LET YOUR HERITAGE FLOWS. Thank you.

I had a great experience with customer service today. I downloaded another antivirus software without uninstalling Eset. Needless to say, there was a battle as to who was going to control my PC. After repeated attempts (like 20) to uninstall Eset in safe mode going through control panels, Ryan in Customer Service came to my rescue. He was great. Thanks Eset. If I find that my new antivirus stinks, I will be back.
