Horrible experience. Discount tire installed the wrong size tires on the car. They refuse to do a return.

I was completely and uttey in a humiliated and disrespected by the discount tire store manager, Jonathan L Pickett, Junior at the 105 Peachtree Blvd. Asheville NC location.

I'm a 72 year old handicapped man and just tried to get a quickly Air Check when 15 seconds ahead of me a Tesla got in front of me with a cute blond driver. Four workers were all around her hike she smiled and was tossing her hair.

She wasn't wanting just a pressure check, but a full rear tire change out! The crew got out a manual Jack, air wrench, etc. and just ignored me sitting in my Outback. I had errands to do so went to backup, when the FedEx truck backed up now behind me trapping me in! The driver was taking one new tire off his truck one tire every two minutes.

I finally had enough and told one of the crew to move the orange barricade so I could leave!

After going to my pharmacy and bank, I had to drive past Discount Tire about 12:5 pm, and saw the Tesla was still in the same spot, Quick Air Change Lane, withe the trunk still up in the air!

Ridiculous and very poor customer care, support and service.

I have been using Discount/American tire for years.

We had a tire with a slow leak and brought it to Discount tire - the sales person looked at the tire while on the vehicle and stated it had to be replaced. We asked him several times can you take it off and check it as it's a very slow leak. 300 dollars and half a day later we left with a new tire. Two days later we brought car to our mechanic (It's a Mercedes) and had them take off the wheel and check the balance and found it was not balanced. The sales person at Discount didn't want to hear from us - and we will NEVER bring any of our cars to ANY of the Discount Tire locations.

On 3/29 I took my car in to get a rotation and balance I had XXR wheels which are not cheap. They were damaged scratched and all from where the weights went. I called and got some Liquid Metal wheels. I tried to like them but what is there to like? They are cheap wheels the manager gave me and made me pay for and sent me on the way. I do not like them one bit this experience makes me think that discount tire does not care to train their employees on using equipment correctly or caring if other's vehicles. Do not go to the discount tire on Cerrillos rd in Santa Fe NM.

I have been a loyal customer to Discount Tire for over 20 years. Just recently i visited their location on I10 west here in San Antonio. I noticed a very aggressive sales pitch that to me was very unisual. I brought one of my vehicles for possible flat. Sure enough they found a nail in the front passenger tire. First suggestion was "if we can not repair the tire do you want to buy one?" So far it is valid. I left my daughter to wait and went to work. They repaired the tire on this new vehicle with 6 k miles after i asked them to put the spare on if tire is not repairable. Next day tire was losing air. We took it back to discount tire and they said " oh its not repairable" i took it to a Goodyear tire shop and they repaired it???
I think upselling and this dishonest behavior are somehow driven by possible management decisions.
I needed new tire for my other vehicle, so i bought from Goodyear for the first time in 20 years.

Yesterday I took a tire to Discount Tore in Joplin, MO for repair. It had a screw in it. It hadn't been in long as the head wasn't scuffed. As I feared, they said they couldn't fix it. I suspect that the tech pried the screw out instead of threading it out to keep from adding further damage. This is the fourth time I've taken a tire there and every time they couldn't repair but could sell me e new tire. Seems excessive to me. Draw your own conclusions, but I for one will not do business with companies that I don't feel are honest.

I took my truck in to have 4 tires rotated and balanced on my dully. I have had NOTHING but trouble ever since. Not being balanced properly to not securing the value stems. I am now in the process of replacing 2 of the tires because of them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go ANYWHERE else

I was notified of my appointment on Wednesday at 3:20 AM Tuesday. That is just wrong to text at that time for any reason, other than an emergency. Please be more considerate of your customers. Thank you for listening!

We've been doing business with Discount Tire for years and overall it's been about as good an experience as shopping for tires can be. My complaint is with the tire warranty coverage. We put a brand new set of Michelin tires on my wife's car 2 years ago. They say they will last 60000 miles. These tires are wearing out at 25000 miles. They are going to prorate the tires but if I want to get the hazard warranty I have to pay for a new one again. Why don't they prorate the warranty also ? I should not have to pay twice for the same coverage. Come on Discount, if you can afford to pay for a new office complex in Phoenix you can afford to prorate your warranties. Stop ripping off your customers, that's a good way to lose them for good.

Terrible customer service! This morning, the Discount Tire in Plano, Texas did over $900 in damage to my car, by cross threading a lug bolt into the right rear hub, so much so that the hub needs to be replaced. I took my car to the dealer for an estimate right away. Later that afternoon, I contacted the Discount Tire corporate office in Scottsdale, Arizona to speak with the claims department, and get the repairs scheduled, and set up direct payment. I was told that I cannot call in to speak with anyone in the claims department, and that I must wait until they contact me. TERRIBLE POLICY!!! Once this issue gets resolved, I will never do business with Discount Tire ever again. I had been a customer for over 20 years, and have had a few issues that the local store stood by and took care of, but this corporate policy is unacceptable! Publish your claims department phone number so that we can communicate and get the damage caused by your employee at your store repaired on our timeline, not yours. EPIC FAIL!

I recently purchased tires from Discount Tires for my car and my wifes car as we have done for many years. This time, after tires were replaced the TPMS light came on and stayed on. I returned to store to see what was wrong. I was told by management they couldn't fix this issue and said they did nothing wrong, so not their problem. Light is still on. Very upset loyal customer looking for answers.

Just bought 4 tires from the store at the company headquarters in Scottsdale. Getting a puncture repaired which I don't think they did because when I got home the was flat. Tires are 10 months old7k miles and the dude tried to tell me that I need new tires. When I called him on it he said that the tires might be good for a cool months but could me 50% credit for new ones. I will never tires from there again. They can't even say anything good about their old tires. Went to Walmart and they said my tires are good

Discount tire damages my wheel by dropping it on the face then tried to hide the damage with exceeds tire mounting gel then it took 6 months to actually get a replacement wheel from them

I've had two incidents instead of them putting my tires that we're supposed to be trade it out in my truck. They threw two of them away. Had to go back first time to replace. The second time. They said that they were too worn which is hardly possible. They're only 2 years old.I won't be going back.

Auburn, Washington store has new management and employees. They ripped me off and called me a liar!! They lost or stole 3 center caps for my brand new rims. Claimed that they were not in the boxes. I personally took each one out and waxed them the prior evening to my appointment and they were all there, they were not removed as I didn't want to risk breaking them since I didn't know how to take them off.
Will not return to the outlet collection store again!!!
Felt like I just had a visit to les shaub!!!

This is the second time I have received bad service at the Nellis store location
I made appointment for a tire leak and tire rotation
Was checked in and told approximately 1 hour for a 20 minute service
I returned after seeing in app that my vehicle was in service bay only to be told that they were running behind(1 hour later)
Asked for manager Darryl
And receive apology they took another ahead of me
Very poor service a second time
8 th set of tires from didvount , maybe time to find another tire company

I recently went to the Discount Tire location at 15381 I45 South, Conroe, Tx 77304 for routine balance & rotation. I purchased my tires there and have the policy. I drive a 2012 Toyota 4 Runner. On the way home I noticed the check air pressure gauge was on and after checking the pressure I found that all 4 tires had only 22 lbs instead of the required 32 lbs. We aired the tires but the light would not go off. I went back to Discount Tire because I was also noticing the tires were bumping. They balanced again but told me they had broken the lugnut on one tire and I would have to go to Midas to have it replaced. They gave me a new lugnut and a voucher but when I went there I was told it was a 2 hour procedure so I had to make an appointment and thus a special trip. Discount Tire told me the light would not go off because all the sensors were out because of the age of the car. I believe they went out because they did not put the required amount of air in them. The sensors are $60 each. I have always used Discount Tire in the past but this experience has changed my mind.

You're storing Apache Junction on Apache Boulevard I believe it's 505 East Apache Boulevard I just called for 20 minutes and nobody answered the phone then I finally drove down there and got an appointment for Thursday but I wouldn't have had to drive down there if they would have answered their phone

I ordered 4 new tires & set up an appointment to have them installed , on November 24, 2022. That same afternoon, I received a confirmation text, indicating the tires were in stock.
Last night, November 27, 2022, I received an email reminder for today"s installation appointment.
Upon arrival, I was informed that the tires I purchased "are not in stock & we have no idea when they may arrive, but we DO have these MORE EXPENSIVE tires on hand..."
I spent 15 minutes on the phone, waiting for someone from customer service, without success.

Went to discount tyres Newport Road Cardiff to to ask them to look at my rear tyre as it had a slow leak of air.the guy came back saying he could not see a leak.he then said I will check again.then I saw him putting a screw driver through the middle of the tyre I asked him why he did that he said to push the screw through I said you told me you could not see anything. he said to me you need a new tyre anyway mate. because we can't repair the hole.it cost me £47 for a tyre I did not need. don't go to this place they rip you off.

Went to get my tire fixed had a nail in it. They fixed it a week later I had a flat. Took it back thought it was from the plug they put in it no it was a rim leak. From when they plugged it. They told me I needed a new rim. I said just clean the rim off. Said it wouldn't work. Since my car is ten years old said my rims weren't good anymore needed to be replaced for 809.00 for new ones. I took it the next day to a regular tire store and they cleaned my rims and my tires are just fine. It cost me 53.00 they should reimburse because if they fixed it right it would have been free. This place is a joke they tell I lies to people just do they can make money off people that know if what they are telling you is true about your tires.

I called discount tire this morning because I had blown a tire the night before. After 100 attempts I finally got a rep on the phone. I said to him "man you guys are hard to get ahold of" his response was " yeah I know" the rest of the conversation he was smug, rude and cold. I've probably purchased 20 sets of tires over the years and I can't ever remember a rep as rude as this guy. I will be looking for a new tire service after this!

Waited two a half hours for tire repair,tech going out to put air in people cars that just pulled up not once but twice when talking to other workers but had time to come tell me it's fixed still not balance or on car yet

Bought a Pirelli Scorpion Verde for my Volvo XC90 for the fronts . They did not have the 275/45/20 that was the original size for it. They suggested a 285/45/20 that they have in stock. They assured me that nothing will change. 12 months later and my mechanic who I see every 6 months said my front tires are extremely bald. The balding was just the middle and the sides looks brand new because it was new. He said it needs to be replaced for safety issues. I have not seen anything like it so researched. All experts say that that is a big NO They said it ruins your speedometer, it ruins your braking system disc caliper , it uses the tire extremely hard that balding in the middle will happen. The RPM difference between the different sized tires will put a high load on the center differential for AWD vehicles. All these things I did not know until I researched . I was shocked that a 12 month old Pirelli tire was gone in 12 mos. Discount tire said my alignment was bad and did not issue replacement. The sales person was very knowledgeable too and I can see that he knows this issue because he had asked me all the questions I researched after talking to me. He said that the wear was so deep that I do not qualify for a replacement. But it was only 12 months of easy driving. He also said that I was 15K miles in 12 months and was close to manufacturer's limited warranty anyway and blamed the alignment for everything. I asked if I had bought the additional warranty if they would replaced it, he also said No Difference because of the wear and the alignment. I left disappointed and will look for a new store. Oh and I looked at my tire it says 2012.

On 09-02-2023 my daughter had a mishap with one of her 2015 Kia tire. My wife went to Discount Tire on McPherson in Laredo Texas. She bought two new tires and a rim for a spare using one of the old tire. I hadn't checked the rim that she purchased until now. As always everywhere, they take advantage of females and sold her a defective rim. I've always have gone to Discount Tires, and have bought tires for all my vehicles. This has been the first time that I am dissatisfied with their operation. Maybe they have different management or workers.

Huge shout out to Oscar Montoya in the midland location on Andrew's hwy. Stopped by for a flat to get fixed and he set me up with some tires at a great price in my budget. He was awesome. Had them installed in 2 hrs. Now that's whay I call customer service. Will shop there again. Thanks to Oscar and his team for taking good care of me. I give Oscar and his team a 2 ? ?

High praise for the crew at the Woody Jones Blvd location in Florence, SC, particularly Chris Bowskill the assistant manager. We were traveling from out of state and collided with an object on I-95 which flattened our tire and damaged our bumper. Having no spare on our Tesla we were towed in and arrived a few minutes before closing. The team took us right in, evaluated our tire, declared it too damaged to repair, quickly found a suitable replacement, mounted and installed the tire and we were on our way in 30 minutes. We have always had excellent service from our Ocala, FL Discount Tire store so when we saw a Discount Tire Store near our hotel we didn't hesitate to use them. They were a bright light in a bad day. Keep up the good work!

I recently went to Discount Tire in Lindon Utah to get a set of new tires, the customer service was AMAZING... I needed to get money from a nearby gas station so I planned on walking as the Manager met me outside and offered and gave me a ride since it was so cold.. When I returned I purchased my tires and they also put new windshield wiper blades on my car for free! Absolutly love this place!

I wanted to take a moment to leave a very positive comment about the Liberty, Mo Discount tire store. I came in for a tire pressure check and told my rt front tire had a screw in it and that is why my low tire pressure alert came on. They told me they could fix it right then but I had to pick up my son. They said we close at 6. I was able to make it back by 5:45 and they took care of the tire. I knew it was close to closing time but they said we are happy to take care of it! Cole and Chase were very friendly and knowledgeable as well as many of the other employees during this visit. They even offered to check my spare tire which also was low! Exceptional customer care. Thank you!

Again had a awesome experience with tire discount mr Colton at BMT tx location #991..both he and mr.brenden lee came to my aide and treated me like I was there mother, for one they were not going to let me leave with the bad tires I had on my van, they were very empathetic, and understanding as if they put themselves in my shoes.i really appreciate what they did.. thank you for hiring all those guys..

This is a experience I will never forget... came into tire discount to have a spare tire put on.my spare was not a good tire either so Mr Lee empathy explained he could not put it on for my safety..I could not afford to get a new tire out of the kindness of his heart he helped me out.. and stayed it was no way he was letting me drive off with the bad tire I had on my van...as a disabled older lady I truly appreciate what he did... thank you for hiring young men that truly care about the safety of your consumers... when I'm able to buy a full set I will be buying from tire discount...

Egg Harbor NJ I have gone there for tires and brakes. I went back in August for brakes all around. I highly recommend.The store manager is excellent.He is courteous and very helpful.The manager and shop personnel were very nice also.

I went to the Kokomo location today. The customer service was more than I can ever pay back. I was truly blessed today and I 10/10 recommend this store. They are caring and compassionate. I will be a returning customer

I just have to give a great Shout Out to the Discount Tire Store at 5828 Sawmill Road in Dublin, OH. The got me right in and with all the customers there, they were quick, so friendly and concerned to talk with me and everybody! They fixed my tire at no charge. I will go back to them for any tires to buy or any tire issues!!!

Went to Discount Tires in Colorado Springs (on Dublin) for new Nokian tires. Employees were polite and knowledgeable; prices were competitive; and service was prompt. The selection of tires was great and I was able to get the exact ties I wanted.

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for 12 years (one store - Loveland, CO)and I am always impressed by the service, technical competence, and the no charge for flat tire fix, and free rotation and balance you get when you buy tires from them.

I also like that the employee base remains the same year-after-year, especially at the management level. That tells me that they are doing something right in this time when people don't stay very long at any workplace.

If you do go into the Loveland, CO store on Highway 34 ask for Bryce; amazing customer service and has become very seasoned after 7 years with the company.

Machesney Park Discount Tire is the best! Great Service....Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend them!

Have shopped at Discount Tires for close to 7 years. Over the years we have come to trust Mr. Luis Torres for he is always straight, up front, and tells us exactly what we need after listening to us. If we ever came back with a problem he solved it. Recently I called Discount Tire and spoke with Mr. Torres asking him to make me an appointment for the next day and would he pick out a set of tires for my wifes small car. I told him what our budget was and that I needed a decent tire but not top of the line. Mr. Torres looked at some things gave me a quote and told me about the tire. The next day I arrived for my appointment. I came in and asked for Mr. Torres, the first thing I noticed was that he was no longer in the front but was working in the back. Here is where the problem started. The person who now was helping me up front looks at the order and then says, "I see the tires Mr. Torres has you set up for and although they are a decent tire this would be a little better for you. I understand they are for your wifes car and the important thing is her safety." I have been married for 20 years and don't need someone "Up selling" me telling how to keep my wife safe. I like discount tire and have found Mr. Luis Torres to be very professional and honest. If you shop at Discount Tire in Ocala and want a positive result and experience ask for Mr. Luis Torres.

As a customer of discount tire, I can honestly say, I received the best service at the Albuquerque store on 3701 highway 528 NW by Juan Cruz and I don't even live in Albuquerque just here on business. I wish more discount tire stores were like this one. Fast , friendly. This store exceeded my expectations, as I don't even get this kind of service in my hometown. Thank you Juan for doing a great job and having me out quickly !

I went to discount tire in Rio Rancho,N.M. to get my tire checked because the tire pressure light went on. I was in a hurry because I had to take my grandson somewhere. A young man named Jeremy helped me ,was polite,and got me out of there fast.Everytime I go there, I am treated respectfully and every single one of those employees that has ever helped me has made it an enjoyable experience when sometimes it is in a stressful situation. I just took my car to Discount Tire at 8335 S. US Hwy 31, Indianapolis, IN today and was very satisfied with their tire replacement policy and customer service. I purchased the Falken tire about a year ago, and it still had a lot of tread left. I got a flat tire and told Discount that I wanted to claim my Road Hazard warranty on the certificate that I bought. Evan, the salesman, said that was no problem and that Discount would either repair or replace the tire free of charge.

Evan said they were very busy, (I was 5th in line), and that it would take about 1½ hours to get the repair done. I told him I would be at a nearby restaurant while I waited. Apparently they worked very fast, and had the car done in 45 minutes. The restaurant was noisy and I didn't hear my phone when he called. I was just amazed when Evan walked a block to the restaurant, came inside and told me my car was ready. Now that's great customer service!

Took my car to Firestone on Blackstone in Fresno. Manager couldn't unlock wheel lock and stated there was nothing he could do without it. Rt front tire was almost flat... So the next morning stopped into Discount Tires and was greeted by 2 gentleman, whom of which was Joe Perales, helped, reasured and took care of my tire issues... And there was a promotion going on that Joe explained to me... Got great service and all 4 tires and saved at least $150 coming to Discount Tires instead of Firestone... Thank you Discount Tires...L Martinez

I stopped at your store on Hampton off of I25 in Denver to get a check on a light indicating low pressure on my VW Beetle. Your associate, Paul, greeted me as if I was the most important customer to come into the store ever. We chatted as he checked the problem as if he had known me for years. We discussed Denver, the Broncos and my car. The reason I write this is not often do I come across Customer Service personnel the likes of Paul. I will be back and Congratulations for having employees like Paul.

I want to say I ordered some tires online with Discount Tire .Com and it was a great experience. I had used Pay Pal which had an expired credit card that my wife forgot to remove so the sale did not go thru and I thought I would not get the $75 credit since it was the last day for the offer but they had contacted me and worked to get me the discount and make sure I receive the tires before my inspection was due. The customer service rep was great and this is my second time buying tires online with them and I will continue to do business with Discount Tire.com.
