deceptive sales tactics, sells so called "certified vehicles" that have problems that they cover up and hide, crooked sales managers, they are the nicest people in the world until they sell you a vehicle with problems

On 6/9/23 AutoNation Ford Sanford sold me a car with no title in hand. If I am not mistaken, I believe this is illegal in the first place. With no title comes no proof of ownership and no registration. I am now on my third 30-day tag set to expire on 9/2/23. I have called numerous times over the past two months in order to get this resolved. I have spoken to Denise, Jimmy, David and others several times and was told by Denise the title was transferring from a sister dealer, title was coming from a dealer that was closed down, title was being searched for in a pile of boxed up paperwork, and was unsure if they can issue a third temporary tag. Whoever "they" she referred to I do not know. At this point Denise does not answer the phone, return my calls, or even pick up a phone to give me the latest excuse. I have been told by Jimmy, David, and others that Denise is the only one in the whole dealership that can handle this. Apparently, she is not competent to do so. Someone else needs to remedy this situation! I don't work for a dealer or DMV but within minutes I found out how to apply for a duplicate title with transfer of ownership. It should not take someone who does this job months to do. I am currently paying insurance, made two payments, about to make another, and at the point where I won't be able to drive without a title, tag, and registration. All of which I have already paid for and they are supposed to have taken care of!
All I am asking for is what I paid for and expected to get in a timely manner. That would be a transferred title, registration, tag, and tax taken care of by said dealer as I was told it would be at time of sale. I'm completely dismayed at how long this is taking and how far I am having to go to get this situation resolved and behind me. I currently have 6 cars purchased in different states at different dealerships with 3 being in Florida! Dealing with an AutoNation Ford in Sanford FL is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I hope I don't have to go any further. I was also initially told the title would be transferred electronically within 30 days, so a paper title supposedly being physically searched for is ridiculous to even claim. One may not even exist. I was able to find the electronic title online in minutes which a copy was sent to Denise weeks ago. Again, I should not have had to go through any of this. I should be demanding a full refund.
After almost nine weeks of wasting time contacting AutoNation Ford Sanford with no resolve. Today, 8/8/23 in the mail I was sent what was supposed to be a transferred title, tag, and registration. This is not what I received. I was sent a back dated Florida title in a leasing companies name that At best looks like a doctored document! This is known as title Fraud which is also illegal. Accompanied by a pile of paperwork I am instructed to take to my local DMV. It clearly states there is a penalty by law if not transferred with in 30 days of sale. We are long passed that as well. I don't even know what to do with this. To my understanding I am not even supposed to have a title, it was supposed to be properly transferred in a timely manner and sent to the bank the loan is with! Included in the paperwork is a copy of the power of attorney that I signed in order for the dealer to transfer the title and register the vehicle. Proving
even further, I paid for and was told at time of sale this was supposed to be done by this dealership by now!

AutoNation Chrysler Jeep Arapahoe 9980 E Arapahoe Rd, Englewood, CO 80112. On 06-03-2023 we bought a 2019 Nissan Rogue from them with a extended warranty. On 06-19-2023 we called about canceling, we were told we had to take off work and go in person to cancel because two people only there until 5:00 would have to sign. BS this was just to try to convince us not to cancel. We spent a week asking the finance manager Johnathan Cole to send us proof of the cancelation. What he sent was his request to cancel then telling us 2 weeks. Spoke to the General Manager Ed Absher explaining what had happened he then told us to call a Chris Jackson stating this was Johnathan's manager. We called this person only to have to leave a message. Called back 30 minutes later and talked to him, he states it would take 6-8 weeks to get the refund. Advised this is financed so We are getting interest charges and we expect them to cover, he made a sound then sad it wont be that much interest dont worry about it buddy. This after getting hung up on 4 times asking for Johnathan Cole. I don't know who regulates this but will find out. It is looking like we will need to contact our legal department to handle this. Avoid this place at all cost.

Deceptive sales techniques. Forced to buy additional dealer add-ons if I wanted to reserve a new car. When I declined, they would not sell me the car unless I also included a trade-in.

I can NOT get anyone to answer the phone or call back. They answer the call and say "hold please" and then never come back or send you to voicemail that they never respond to.

They will use the old tactic of having you wait and going back and forth to negotiate the price. I couldn't believe they still do that. Very unprofessional.

To whom it concerns, in 2019 I purchased a 2014 Dodge At the time of sale one of the things mentioned before purchasing was that the vehicle had a deleted dpf system. I was insured by the representative of autonation of Amarillo that all was good and that there was nothing to worry about. That it was an upgrade that would save money. The inspection was performed by Joshua nutt that was the autonation inspector that falsely passed the inspection for the sale. I the consumer would not fill the ramifications of this until 12/6/22 . During 2020 the vehicle sat with little use do to coved, 2021 due to coved limited contact allowed it to pass . On 12/6/22 the same autonation that passed it with the altered dpf in 2019 failed the inspection and red flagged the vehicle. The service manager was informed that the vehicle was purchased like that and that it was passed by them for sale, he stated that they could not pass it and that I should go elsewhere. I went to another inspection station and they were unable to perform any inspection do to autonation failing it for the dpf. I spoke with jimmy Allen about the situation autonation had put me in. He informed me that he would look into it. After a week of no contact about the issue I went to autonation amarillo to make contact with mr Allen . He was not available and I gave my information for contact. Later that day mr Allen called to inform me that according to the doctored inspection reports that I was a lier and that there was no proof that autonation sold me the vehicle in that condition. And that there was nothing he was going to do. I find it reprehensible that mr Allen has no control over this establishment. He is complicit or he is ignorant in which case because of this actions the consumer gets left holding the bag. Instead of trying to resolve the issue it was easier to act as if it never happened. I will be contacting the state for help in this matter as my truck that I purchased from autonation and become useless and I am paying for something I can not use. I just wanted autonation to make it right, but I guess that was to much to ask mr Allen. I have already started looking into the history of the vehicle and will show that the previous owner that purchased the vehicle since new in 2014 from Texas dodge was the individual that had the dpf delete performed while he owned it and that it was that way before autonation sold it. It should have been repaired before sale or never sold when autonation relized there was a mistake somewhere. Not sold to an unsuspecting consumer. Must be god what are the odds the place that sold the vehicle is the one that is going to cause the investigation. I hope that this finds someone that is willing to dig so that autonation becomes a better place than just to cover it up.

Garbage company. They don't return phone calls, their online support immediately ends conversations when they cannot answer questions (even as something as basic like the cost to replace a fuel filter), and the dealership made numerous errors on documents they themselves signed (which I needed to drive 40 mins just to correct because no one ever responds via phone call). The fact this company even exists is baffling but hey, if you ever wanted to know what it's like to get terrible service, go there and be my guest.

AutoNation is the absolute worst car dealership ever! We have had nothing but issues with them. They DO NOT return phone calls EVER!!!!!!!! The sales managers and finance managers are a complete joke and NEVER call you back. We finally traded in our car we got from AutoNation because we were so sick of them. Now we have the headache of trying to get our GAP money back and VPP and Tire and Wheel! I hate AutoNation so much!!!! They shouldn't even exist!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a cash car for my daughter 9/20. The car appeal to be fine. In good running condition. Less then one month I noticed oil in my driveway on the side were my daughter parks the car. I called because I live in Pearland and Spring is an hour away. They said I probably need an oil change. I'm like how is that possible when I only had it one month. The oil should have been changed the time of purchase.. so they told me I could take it to any auto nation. Which was not true. So I end up taking it to a Honda dealership o. 610. That's when I was informed it had multiple oil leaks. Immediately I took the car to AutoNation. I also called the cooperate location in Florida because I still haven't received a title and still riding on a temporary paper car tag. When I got there . They wanted me to pay for the oil leaks. I told them absolutely not. Those were there when I purchased the car. Not to mention they never had the car titles. So they sold me a car with no title. This is February and I still haven't received anything. When I call they say they are still working on them. They repaired the leaks. But I still end up paying for an oil change.

So if u are considering purchasing a car . not do purchase it from AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Spring again I do repeat do not purchase from AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Spring terrible service!!!!!!! I have called the main cooperation. Only for the to contact the location where I purchased. Branch Manager asked me to bring the car back to repair it and charge me for an oil change. But the car still leaks oil. And as of today March 21,2021 I still don't have a title or permanent car tag. And remember I made a cash purchase!!!!!!!!

I went in for an oil change and had a $25 coupon and still ending up paying $74. I asked the service guy why is there so much inconsistency in the pricing. I asked for the manager and the parts manager Michael came out and gave some lame excuse as to why and I told him he was ignorant. He then wants my name and I asked him why did he need my name and he said so he would know for when the next time I come in. He took my invoice out of the hand of the service rep and looks at my name. So he now has my information. So what? Is he gone come by my house and shoot it up? This is a threat to me and I don't take threats likely. And the rep was rude as well, I guess because I called out his coworker. I asked the rep for a pen to sit the invoice and he said in a nasty way" didn't I give you one" and I said yes, but I don't feel like digging in the bottom of my bag. At this point I gave him back the pen he gave me. I had intentions of looking at new vehicles, but Auto nation will never get another penny of my hard earned money. They tried to mess over me on the first vehicle I purchased. From all the comments I've read your company is thuggish. So what are you going to do about this threat? I expect an answeri in the next few days

I went to purchase a F150 stock #LFB84513 advertised for $52,140 MSRP with available incentives purchase $47,390 listed on your website. When I got to dealer they told me purchase price was $66,622. That is false advertising and I drove from Homestead to purchase truck to be informed that it was almost $20k more than advertised. I will be sure to let everyone know not to purchase from your dealer.

On December 21, 2019 my husband and I went to the AutoNation Ford dealership in Corpus Christi, TX to cancel the extended warranty we purchased for the 2017 Ford Explorer (VIN #1FM5K8HT3HGA86769) we had traded in for a 2019 Ford Ranger in Nov. 2019. The original purchase date on the extended warranty was Feb. 21, 2019 at the AutoNation in Corpus Christi, TX. The finance gentleman completed the paperwork and told us we should be receiving our refund. Well here we are 4 months later and still no refund. This all happened prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since our initial visit on December 21, we have visited the dealership, called Jeff Calvert, Finance Manager numerous times, emailed him and the General Manager Steven Chapman with no response received. Jeff has told us on numerous occasions that he has spoken to the Warranty company and told our "refund" is in the mail. I don't believe this is the case and feel as we are just getting the run around.

We have purchased many vehicles from AutoNation in Houston and Corpus Christi, but with this type of Customer Service I will not be back anytime soon. I will also advise my friends and family to stay clear along with my company which purchases fleet vehicles.

I don't understand why I paid for an extended warranty in good faith, went in person to cancel and am struggling to receive my refund. When I cancelled my extended warranty with Chevrolet, there was no issue and I had my refund within 2 weeks.

The Worst Car Buying Experience Of My Life .. Too Many People With No Communication Between Departments .. Misinformation .. Detail Means Hose Car Off Without Wipedown .. Laundry List Of Issues .. Much More .. Autonation Never Again

Every one of the poor service department complaints are because of the dispatch procedure.
There has to be a dedicated dispatcher who is responsible for the flow of work through the shop.
AutoNation management wants the shops split up into groups or teams with a technician in each group dispatching the work.
So, what happens is none of the service advisors knows where the vehicles went after the porters parked them.
The technicians dispatching the work have their favorites give them the most and best work so about half of the technicians make about twice as much money as the other half. One technician may have the repair order and keys to 12 -15 vehicles at the same time and another may have 1 or none.
Yes, I'm a technician at a AutoNation dealership and because of the Autonation micro-management I've seen 5 service directors since the dealership was purchased by Autonation in 2016. I cannot begin to tell you how many general managers have come and gone.

My husband and I purchased a certified preowned suv from autonation sanford on 09/2019. The finance guy (lee) kept us busy with conversation. He asked us if we wanted the $2500 protection pk. We said no then a $300 oil change pk abd we said yes to that. So he did not show us pricing and part of it is our fault we did not ask him to show us. 4 days later i checked the bal on the loan and it was much higher than it should have been. We had been charged for $2500 pk we did not want. I WENT BACK TO AUTONATION CANCELED BOTH PKGS. There was no transparency, no I sorry this happened, no nothing. I was told i would have credit in 6 to 8 weeks. Fast forward to nov 11th went back to autonation saw (lee) again he told us it was in check writting and we would get credit in another week or so. Fastfoward again to 12/20 still no credit. Went back for 3rd time and a different finance guy gave me paperwork showing my credit from sept was never processed until we showed back up on nov 11. When we got home 12/20 just for kicks i checked the bank and finally got the $2500 credit but not $300 credit. We finally got the $300 credit JAN 02 2020. It took us over 3 months to get these credits. Things we did not want to begin with. On top of it we are seniors and my husband is disabled. That autonation SANFORD should be ashamed of it self. For some real under handed financing.

Everything started off great.
I originally purchased a car from Autonation Henderson in Las Vegas Nevada. The car was a 2015 hyundai, during the test drive i was advised that the blind spot sensor was probably not on hence why it didn't work during the test drive. i was also advised that the car had a recall on it, now this recall was not recent, i asked them to fix the recall before i picked up the car but they assured me that this wasnt a big deal and i can take it into hyundai to get it done. i had the car for 3 days, i started to notice the breaks were squeaky, the blind spot was not working even after it was turned on. i took it to hynundai for the recall and was advised that the car needed to have the bumper taken off and inspected, since after 2 hours of diagnostics they couldnt figure out why the blind spot wasnt working. i decited it was best to return the car, i did not feel satisfied in the purchase or safe, know, this is where it all starts. i returned the car before there 5 day/240 miles, no questions asked return policy. i asked about my a refund of the deposit i originally placed when i bought the car which was $1,000, i was advised they didnt know how long but will call, 2 weeks went by and no call, however i continued to receive emails about the car as it was still in my possession. i called autonation henderson and got the run arround from a few agents about my refund, then finally emailed one of the managers advising i would like a status update on my refund and if i didnt have it by the end of the week i would take legal action, all of a sudden within 24 hours my check was ready. The manager, matt apologized and advised it wastn processed in time and etc, i advised it was fine and would go pick up my check. 24 hours after this i get a notification that the loan is not showing on my credit report. i called matt again and advised that i would like this off my record, and its basically fraud since i haven't/dont have the car and this is ridiculous. Matt instead of reassuring me that he would take care of this and it will be handled properly, yelled at me and advised me i was being nasty and i was not speaking to him as a human, and he dishes out what he gets and no one was trying to screw me, mind you the car was purchased end of August, its now September 12. Matt continued to yell at me and actually hung up- he advised i didnt know the policy on buying a car and that it takes time to process canceling the loan. i called the finance company directly, they advised they do not have a check from autonation and can not cancel my loan. Matt advised it takes 10 days to process the check on the finance company side, but again, they arent even aware of it. As it stands i have a financial dept for the returned car- and no reassurance this will fall off my record. How does this sound like a reputable company? how can i rest assured im not being screwed? I do hope that this falls of my record or i will be taking legal action. this is wrong. I work in customer service personally, and never have i heard or been spoken to they way management from automation spoke to me. They are truly unprofessional, oh in addition Matt was upset that i had written a bad yelp review and filled a complaint with the BBB or advised i would take legal action that he hung up on me.. i would not encourage anyone to do business with this company, at least not at this location.

your service suck stole my son money

I brought my car in for specific issues, only one of three were resolved. The service advisor was lazy and clearly incompetent. The service provider called to tell me my car was ready, it was not. The service advisor told me my car was washed, it was not. The reason this was important is because I had inquired about a leak in my car. The service advisor specifically said "when they washed my car, they could not locate the leak." Well, you can't find the leak if you DID NOT wash the car. She even lied a second time to claim that my car was dirty because of the surrounding construction (not true). It was obvious it was NOT washed. She lied about the alerts being on as being normal. I asked for the technician and he agreed that the alerts should NOT have been on. He later admitted that he needed to reset the system. Service advisor never admitted or apologized for her mistakes. I left with a dirty car two hours later. In addition to all of this, my personal email AND phone number were incorrect on my invoice. I had to call them to have them both corrected. Disappointed at the negligence and lack of attention at the Autonation Acura Service Stevens Creek facility.

I'd like to know the status of my vehicle reapers. Has, service Mgr, general mgr Rich and your Florida office will not return my calls. I dropped off my truck Thursday night for a Friday appt. I need a loaner or my truck back. Your service dept needs to be shut down. This is my experience each time I bring 1 of our trucks in.

I got up and walked out with a check for 33000 dollars these idiots let me walk over 2000 dollars after all the lies they told me. I will never use automation again even if they were selling cars for a dollar very bad company and even worse employees how are y'all still in business

My truck is now at Auto Nation collision shop in Houston Texas 610 freeway, because of the rude, racist, dishonesty, lying by their representative, I am very worried that I will be treated fairly and the work will be done in a timely, and proper manner. I had also consider buy a car from Auto Nation, but now I worry if this a bad ideal. Base on my internet search it appears that there are many have experienced the same rude dishonest , lying, behavior of your employees,I add, in my experience, racist, bigotry. Discrimination, based on past law suit, rudeness is of Auto Nation history and nature.
