American Family Customer Service

Ever since ive had american family insurance they have been nothing but a headache! They never sent me a bill. IM a single mom with a young child in school, i work 2 full time jobs so getting a paper bill was my reminder every month to pay it. And then when it wasnt paid they canceled it and nver sent me a paper saying they cancelled it or called me. Half they time im running around trying to remember every day things like my childs homework laundry groceries no matter how may times i ask these guys to send me a bill they never do!.
Terrable communication!!!

Not very happy so far. We have been with the insurance company for a few months now and having an issue with collecting money from our home owners insurance. We paid up front and had money for insurance in our escrow. It was released at the first of the month from our loan on our house and still haven't received it 3 weeks later. What's the hold up?

Recently my home was hit by a wind,rain, and hail storm and when the adjuster came to look at the place he never even took into consideration that my basement had flooded and ruined all my belongings, the carpet needs to be replaced and the wall are now starting to mold I have written several times to the company with no response,now I'm out around $5500.00 dollars to fix my basement. Why do we even pay our premuims if they are not good for anything except making the company money?

I have had American Family insurance for the past 7-8 years. My ex-husband and I used them for home-owners insurance, and then after our divorce I have used them for renter's insurance, car insurance, and home owners insurance. I only had one issue when my agent left American Family and I was reassigned to another agent without the company contacting me. The new agent, however, called me in person to introduce himself and the set up a meeting with me to go over my policies. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and sincere. He calls when I ask, and stops calling when I ask. I will remain with American Family for some time.
